Empties

 Hello,

I had big plans on finishing up tons of products but the day was approaching and it was becoming more and more obvious that there will be less finished items than planed in the first place. Oh well, I guess it will be better next month.

I have finished up Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey pout Homme body wash. It was a gift with purchase and it made me fell in love with this aquatic and to my nose unisex scent. It is light in touch and stays with me for a long time (I'm showering in the evening so it is hard to tell just how long-lasting the scent is but after a while my PJ got a light linger of it). I will definitely get myself a bottle of this perfume while I probably won't buy this body wash again. I like generic body washes to save up my money for fragrance ;)

Next is MAC fix+ face setting spray. I liked it a lot but still my beloved Catrice fixing spray wins (for me it works better and it is cheaper) but I'm still glad to try it out. I recently picked up the matte version so I will see if that one will become my favourite.

Avon also makes body sprays and I purchased this Jasmine Whisper body mist that makes my sheets smell  like clean laundry (that is how I used it up). The scent is gone soon but since I fall asleep really fast it doesn't really matter. I know I said that I won't be buying body sprays (poor longevity) so I don't remember how I acquired this particular bottle but all I know is that I enjoyed this scent but I won't be buying it again, I would get other products with this scent (body wash or moisturisers).

Next in line is another Avon product and it is Jelly lip tint in the shade Sheer Pink. It looks very pale but it turns hot pink with the help of the warmth of my skin. I liked the even tint all over my lips but I was getting sick of the color so I was glad that I managed to finish it up. This is long discontinued but even if it would still be available I would pass it only because of the bright color.

The very last item is Carmex Pomegranate lip balm. It does smell fruity and it is very soft but the SPF makes for a weird taste. Slightly bitter and unpleasant. I'm super glad that it is finished because I have no desire to buy it again. Usually sun protection in lip products results in bitter and awkward taste so I'm not a big fan.

Empties

 Hello,

it is empties time and this time they are all very, very nice products that I enjoy a lot.

Teaology Matcha fresh cream was a novelty for me. Some brands promote that they use the purest water in their products but Teaology brand goes further and use different tea blends. I picked this one predominately because of the gel texture which feels very light on my oily skin. It absorbs into the skin quickly but it doesn't keep me matte for long so I started to use it strictly in the evening because I don't care if I go to bed with greasy face. They claim that this formula protects your skin against dryness caused by pollution. On some days this moisturizer was enough but on the days that my skin felt a bit more dry I had to top it off with some oil, again not an issue for me if I use it in the evening before going to bed. I don't mind layering as I feel like I get even better results. This cream didn't cause my skin to freak out which is rare and I already repurchased it and will start using it immediately.

Last year I bought a few of these The Body Shop body yogurts and I decided to try out first the Moringa one. I already loved the hand cream and body butter so it was only natural to try out the different version. This smelled like Moringa line, perhaps a bit lighter but still very floral and nice. The texture is something between yogurt and gel. It applies like a charm and sinks in really fast, after using it for weeks I noticed that my skin started to crave something heavier and more nourishing. These are as suggested by the brand most probably better in the warmer weather so the other two that I have I will save for next Summer.

Rituals, the ritual of Karma holy lotus & organic white tea hair and body mist was given to me by my sister. The scent is very calming and relaxing. I enjoy it a lot but as every other body spray this one too doesn't last which is a shame but I find out that there is a whole line of products with this scent, so I have my eyes locked on the body lotion...

Empties

Hello,

in todays empties I only have amazing products. Some are definitely going to be repurchased and back with me soon.

First we have the Ziaja Olive body wash. I purchased a full set from this olive line and so far I quite like their products. This is a body wash which was pretty liquid and a little bit at the time was enough to wash my entire body (sometimes I even used it as a shampoo and it cleansed my hair very well without stripping them too much). This big 500 ml bottle lasted me for months and thankfully the scent was also very pleasant. Creamy olive scent, I think ;) Very, very nice and I would repurchase it again.

Next is  my beloved Burdock shampoo from Ilirija. Very simple and basic looking bottle but the product does its job. It is a bit thicker and it foams really nicely. It cleansed my hair, removed all product buildup and the next day my hair were silky soft and they smell naturally herbal. This shampoo has become my favorite and it is dirty cheap. At the moment I'm using something else which is also very nice and could become my new favorite... well, they could share number one spot ;)

A couple of years ago I purchased this The Body Shop Satsuma body spray (back in the days I liked body sprays but now I prefer something more longlasting). This is a truly zesty and sparkling scent. It really reminds me of this citrusy fruit and especially the peel, because it is a little bitter and sparkling. It was a really nice refreshing scent but as I mentioned before it does not last, so I won't be buying it again in a body spray format but perhaps I will get something else from this line because the scent was lovely.

Second to last is Catrice Prime and Fine fixing spray. I have tried some of their limited edition options and so far I liked them all so why not try the 'regular' one. I did and I think it is just as good. The spray creates a fine mist and my make-up lasts longer, especially under my mask. I will definitely pick up another one but so far I have one from a previous LE and I just bought the new one form their current LE Bronze away to... after all of them will be finished I'm going back to this one.

The very last item is another Catrice product and it is from their Clean ID line and it is lip oil and since it only holds up to 2 ml it was gone pretty fast. It was a clear oil but very glossy looking and not super thin compared to some other lip oils. It also hydrated and nourished my lips so I liked it very much, unfortunately it is discontinued and I can't get a hold on it.

Empties

 Hello,

I'm back with another bag full of empties.

A little while ago I was really into body sprays especially from Victoria's Secret. They had reputation of being divine so of course I picked some up, besides this one I also had Mango Temptation which smelled very nice, but I prefer this Pure Seduction body spray. It was ripe, juicy and sweet Plum scent and I really like it but longevity isn't the best simply because it is a body spray. I used it when I went to bed so poor longevity didn't bother me too much but no matter how much I like this scent I won't be repurchasing it again.

Next is an empty bottle of Iliria shampoo in  the Nettle option. I really like one shampoo from them and so I decided to try out some more. This one has a lovely fresh herbal scent but I don't think it is as good as my favorite Linden one. It did cleanse my hair but they got oily quicker than usually and they are also a bit more dry at the end... nothing major but a little difference was noticeable and  there is noting else that I have changed in my routine so I think for the majority of  it I can blame this shampoo. It is not bad, I just prefer other version.

Next is Ziaja cleansing peeling gel for normal, oily and combination skin from their Manuka tree line. This one is a proper gel formula with tons of peeling particles which are so very small that I was barely able to feel and I felt like it did nothing. My love for mechanical scrubs has faded and while I still have two left I think this will be the end. This one also didn't impress me but as of now I prefer enzyme ones.

Speaking of the more gentle kind of a scrub is this Avon Planet SPA Perfectly purifying with Dead sea Minerals gommage face mask. It contains enzymes which does the job and since they are in this thicker cream. I put it all over my face and when it gets even thicker you just wipe it off and your face is removed of dead skin cells. This type of scrubs works better for my sensitive skin but I think this one was a bit old and I didn't notice much difference. My favorite remains from Ren but recently I started to use one form Ziaja, so we will see.

I really like this Essence fruit kiss caring lip balm with strong Strawberry scent. It is very pigmented and has frosty shimmer. If applied lightly I think it works nice or even with a light gloss over... so very beautiful and did I mention that is smelled like real forest Strawberries? The thing is that I haven't finished it up but I dropped it and now the packaging is broken in a way that  I can't access the product, I never thought that can happen but trust me, I can make it happen so I'm just simply throwing it away.

Next is another lip balm but this one is more modest. It is Neutrogena one with Norwegian formula. Modest because it has no tint or scent and it just works. It has Ricinus oil as a main ingredient and I'm realizing that Ricinus works for me. It kept my lips soft and moisturized plus it has this nice slip to them. Very very nice and also quite inexpensive. This one I will definitely repurchase after I finish some more of them.

The very last item is Avon always on point eye liner in this magical shade called Lavender Grey. This line of lines is amazing, there is some kind of sharpener build in the lid of the product so whenever I was about to use it the tip was sharp, hence the name. This formula is extra creamy and easy to work with and to top it all off the shade is lovely. I finished it all up and have zero left to show but it is darker grey shade with a lavender reflex to it. It is barely visible but just enough to make it special. I would repurchase this one but first I have to go through my extensive collection.

Empties

 Hello,

my goodness how time flies. I had some other post half ready but my laziness was in the way. Oh well, there is still more time next month ;)

Lets first start with Biobaza purple fresh body lotion with Lavender and Lemon. I love anything lavender so combination with lemon sounded nice enough to get it and the fresh jet calming lavender note in here is absolutely lovely. I love the scent but the packaging is a bit off for me. The lotion is quite liquid so the tube which has the opening at the bottom is a bit inconvenient (some of the product got spilled before I adjusted and started to shaking the tube upside down before opening it). I started to use it right after I got home form a vacation and perhaps my skin was a bit dry and I felt like this didn't moisturize it enough on its own. I love the scent but I feel like it is not nourishing enough for me... I bough another tube at the same time with a different scent so soon I will test it out and then I will decide if this is something worth repurchasing or not.

Next is lovely Yves Rocher Monoi Lagoon hair and body wash. I absolutely adore this rich scent and it is great for vacation time or when I want to feel like I'm on a vacation. It is meant to be used all over the body and usually I don't use these multipurpose products on my hair but this smelled so nice that I used it as a shampoo and even the next day my hair smelled divine. I think every year they come out with this collection and I'm interesting in picking it up next year again.

This next yellow bottle is a bit hard to recognize but it is Yves Rocher Monoi body oil. I purchased it at the same time as the previous product but the oil on this one started to leak and the label came off completely. The scent was the same, tropical and super sweet, just how I like it. I don't think this oil is the best for my skin (not nourishing enough) but on a vacation I mixed it with Apricot oil (I finished it in my previous empties and I felt like the combo was really nice, moisturizing from the Apricot part and the Frangipani note in here made it a winner). I will probably repurchase it again next year because I adore the scent.

Then we have this mini sized Nivea MicellAIR water. I received it in an advent calendar which I bought a couple of years ago. It was scentless and really nice. I felt like it removed pretty much all of my make-up residue that was left after a two step cleansing method. I don't think I came across a 'bad' micellar water so far. At the moment I'm using something else but if I ever see this one on sale or with a nice price tag I will repurchase it again.

Second to last product was a complete fail for me. I remember buying the entire set (lotion, body wash, hand cream and this body spray and splitting it with my sister) but only now I decided to use it. It is Avon natural Milk and Honey body spray and this is pure alcohol, it settles down after a couple of minutes and then it has a nice creamy milk & honey scent but to get through the first minutes was a struggle that I did not want to endure. I decided to just pour it away and call it done. I'm not 100% sure if the high alcohol levels are due to its age or that is just the way it is, I definitely won't buy it again.

The very last item is one of my favorites and it is The Body Shop Moring hand cream. In general I like their hand creams but this scent put a spell on me. It is very heavy white floral with some underlaying creaminess. I absolutely love it, so much that I purchased the big tub of the body butter from the same scent and I can't wait to start using it. I would just like to touch on the formula a bit because I noticed that different scents have different textures. This one is almost a gel but a little goes a long way, if i used a bit too much it would get a bit sticky so I was careful not to use too much plus that means that I had this little 30 ml tube for months.

Empties

 Hello,

it is the last day of August and for me it is time to showcase my empties. I have quite a few make-up related items and I'm super happy to finally see some of them being empty and gone.

From Dusch das I have this Magnolia body wash which I had previously and really liked the Magnolia scent. It is creamy and floral and I enjoy it a lot, plus it is very inexpensive. I have another backup but I will wait a bit and use something else in between.

Next is another body was and it is from Balea and it is their Raspberry and Rose body wash. This is also my second bottle ad this scent is one of my favorites but unfortunately it was only a limited edition so I can't get my hands on it anymore. I predominately used this as my shampoo, it was able to remove all of the residue (balms, oils and all kinds of sprays that I use on my hair) and made my hair super soft and clean.

Last is Victoria's Secret Mango Temptation body spray. I purchased it a couple of years ago and back then I loved the scent now I think it is just okay. I sprayed myself and my room with it daily to be able to finish it up. The scent was nice, creamy Mango but it faded way too fast for my liking. I have another scent from them and when I will finished it up, I probably won't buy more from them. I now use perfumes instead of body sprays.

I manged to use up two Rimmel London Stay Matte lightweight, mattifying powders in Transparent. I would use one in the morning at home and the other one I would keep at work for touch ups. This powder is really nice for my oily complexion because it keeps me matte for longer plus it doesn't look all cake-y applied on top of my make-up after a couple of hours. I already unpacked two new ones and are ready to be used.

Trend it Up face contouring set in all matte 010 shade (swatches are here). First pan held contouring cool toned powder which was my favorite even though I figure it out that I don't find contouring my face an essential step and I could easily drop this habit but since I have the product... If I would get this palette again I would get it only because of this perfect for my skin tone shade. Second was a super warm bronzer that I didn't exactly love. It is gone and now I can move to the more enjoyable shades. The very last pan was filled with a slightly yellow toned powder and was meant to be used to lightly highlight the high points of your face but since it matched my skin tone completely I used it as a face powder and I was done with it pretty fast. This palette is done and gone, I feel happy to be finished but I won't repurchase it.

This Avon SuperExtend Lenghtening mascara in Brown/Black shade is still one of my favorites. Plastic wand brushes through my lashes and separates them while the little fibres adds to the length. Very nice and it can look a bit dramatic without looking like a fake lash look. At the moment I'm using the Essence mascara that I enjoy very much but this will definitely get repurchased.

The only remaining cream highlighter is this Catrice dewy finish strobe to glow highlighter in the shade Space Queen, Silver Rose (heavy swatch below). It looked amazing on me but cream products are so hard to finish up before they turn so I used it also on my chest and arms, I tried really hard to finish it up this year so now I can 'finally' use my powder highlighters.

The very last item is this amazing Avon Always on Point eye liner in the color Molten Rose. This is completely finished and I couldn't get any more for a little swatch at the end. It was supposed to be rose gold but to me it was more of a bronze shimmery shade. I loved it on its own, especially on my lover lash line or over some darker color on top of my upper lid. So fun and quick to do. At the moment I have nothing to replace it but I would like to have something similar so I just might go shopping...

Next week I will finally be on a vacation and fingers crossed the weather will stick so I will be able to suntan (I will take a lot of sun protection with me), swim and read lots of books. This years vacation will be different from last years but hopefully I will relax and have some good time despite everything that is going on.

Empties

Hello,

I'm still here just a bit distracted. I am aware that this month has been a really dry for my blog but it is what it is. I will try to get back on track and blog more next month.
But till the next time here are some empties that I keep accumulating...

Zara Green Apple and White Freesia body spray was the very last bottle from the trio that I owned. In the last year I got super excited about fragrances (especially designer) and I'm trying to finish up my older, cheaper ones and to use any body sprays that I have because they don't make me happy anymore. This particular one was fresh and flowery at the same time. I would say Spring in a bottle. It smelled like a fresh morning. The nature is bursting in white blooms and the distant green notes gives it naturalistic appeal. The fragrance didn't last on me for long (it is a body spray after all) so I was coating myself with it and was able to finally finish it up. I love my rich, sweet scents but this one was a nice departure.

The next fragrance is Avon Outspoken Fresh by Fergie perfume which is also super old. I started to notice that this scent would slowly go bad. When I would spray it in the last couple of weeks the scent at first wasn't pleasant so I wasn't using it on my body but rather as a room refresher. It was clean and fruity but I could never decipher of what kind of fruit it reminds me of. Some sort of a mix with some clean notes added to it. I used to really like it but now I didn't care for it anymore.

This is my second used up bottle of Beauty Glam clear skin serum with 2% Salycylic acid and I know that I said that I won't repurchase it again because I couldn't notice my skin loving it. It was only after I wasn't using it daily anymore (after I was finished and wouldn't have any backup) that my skin started to act up and not in a good way. There are a lot of factors involved but I believe not using this serum was also one of them. During the sale I picked up two more bottles so I don't ever need to be without of it.

Next item is another old one and it is Avon Advance Technique instant repair hair mist. It is supposed to help with damage but to me it was like water. Watery texture made my hair wet and after they dried they looked exactly the same. I have to take in account the age of this product (it is for sure a couple of years old) but if I tried it when it was brand new and I couldn't see the difference... I see why I put it  in a dark corner and forget about it.

On the top is Avon true ageless overnight gel which I was super excited to try out ever since it came out. It is a proper gel texture which stays a bit sticky and full of bronze and gold bubbles which break when you massage them but the 'wrapping' doesn't dissolve so the next morning I would find these gold rubbery substance everywhere (on my skin, hair, PJ, sheets, floor...) plus I notice my skin breaking up and after quit using it, healing my skin and start applying it onto my freshly cleansed face just to see acne reappear... not a cream for my skin unfortunately. I finished it up on my legs and I'm happy to throw this packaging away.

The very last item is this big red jar of  Rituals Honey touch body butter with Indian Rose & Himalayan Honey. I completely forgot about it and I was super scared that it already went bad (it didn't). It smells very nice, like a luxurious lotion with a hint of Rose. The scent is not mild but I can't put my finger on how it smells like but I know it is very comforting and snugly. Perfect to cover my entire body with it and roll in bed.

Empties

Hello,

I have a lot of empty bottles and some products that didn't work for me and will be passed along to people who might enjoy them. I currently don't need to buy anything, I will just replace all of these products with what I already have except for one product which was on sale because they are discontinuing it and I grabbed some back ups.

Yves Rocher Raspberry and Pepermint body lotion got me with its unique scent. I discovered that I love Raspberry and Mint and in this lotion they combined them and combo is really nice. The bad thing is that it can smell a bit plastic-y every once in a while. The pump was very convenient and the lotion absorbed rather fast. It was nice, moisturizing but nothing I would repurchase it again.

Next I have matching body spray and body lotion from Avon naturals Blackberry and Vanilla collection. The scent is creamy and a bit fruity but the fruitiness does not overtake the scent. It was one of my favorite scents from naturals but these lotions are notorious for not being moisturizing enough for me. Body spray also didn't do anything for me, the long lasting power in body sprays really isn't something to brag about. I most probably won't repurchase them again (I have another body spray left in a different scent and when that one is gone I'm done with them).

I bought this Garnier Argan face mist when it was still relatively new in the store and argan is know for being moisturizing... Very early on (after using it twice in a row) I started to notice massive breakouts so I stopped using it and let my skin heal. Trying it for the second time just to make sure this is really the products that doesn't work for me, put things into perspective for me. Yes, this toner didn't agree with my skin and at first I wanted to use it all over my body just to finish it up but I have way too many products and I decided to rather give it away and maybe it will work for someone else.

The two little cute bottles are The Body Shop energising Mandarin and mattifying Mint face mists which also didn't work for me, just like the toner I previously described, these cuties also break my skin out so I will be passing them along. The Mandarin one is very zesty and indeed refreshing, the green Mint smells more like a toothpaste and you have to shake it well before use because there is white powder (clay?) on the bottom to help with mattifying claim.

The first bottle is a bit hard to see but it is Sante clear nail polish which I used as a top coat. It gave my nails the shine and make them last longer. It was fine and I'm not really thinking repurchasing it again (this bottle was a gift, I didn't buy it myself) because I have another top coat from Catrice to go through.

Next is one of my favorite lipstick formulas that has sadly been discontinued and it is Catrice ultimate shine gel color in the Don't fear the sheer!. The moisturizing formula, glossy feel and even the bright coral shade suited me a lot in my opinion. I really wish they would bring them back but right now I have some others in the testing process and maybe Catrice did remake them and put them in a different packaging... This is my very last one after a handful of them that I bought when they were discontinuing them. I haven't completely finished it up because it went bad but like I said, I have a lot of lipsticks and some are really good.

The very last item is my favorite night time eye cream and it is Avon anew hydro-advance eye cream. It is a bit thicker so I only use it at night, in the morning I don't have the time to wait for it to absorb and using it on a longer period of time I did noticed that my lines were less pronounces and my skin looked well taken care of and moisturized. Last week I noticed that they quietly discontinued it but I was able to find it on the sale pages and I ordered three more... it is safe to say that I'm good for this year when it comes to eye cream and then I will have to slowly start to look for a new one.

Empties

Hello,

my goal of not buying skin care and make-up products is going well, instead whenever I feel the urge to get something new I open my closet, drawls, boxes... and look at all the products I already have and need to be finished up. I often find something hidden in the back that I almost forget about...

Zara Brown Sugar & Mint Leaves body spray is very old and I for sure know they don't make these anymore but they were really nice. I think they had four or five different scents (I owned three) and they were very long lasting for body sprays and super cheap. This version was very creamy and cozy. It wasn't too sweet and I have to thank the mint leaves for that, it wasn't minty at all but it helped toned down the sweet notes. I usually put it on in the morning (two sprays on the skin) and then put whatever perfume I wore that day, it complimented pretty much all of my fragrances very well and that was also a reason I wore it daily and managed to finish it up completely in a relatively short amount of time.

Avon Care glycerin hand & nail cream are some of my favorites and this was a limited edition scent with Jasmine but I think it is still available. I don't really pick up the Jasmine note but it does smell nice, to me it is more of a clean and fresh scent and not that much floral. Fun fact, Avon Care hand creams are now available in 75 ml tubes only except for this scent which is still in the old 100 ml tube while the prices are the same (I have a couple of backups ready to go in case they decide to discontinue it).

My favorite and second pot of Artdeco eye shadow base is complete. It has a bit of a tint to it but it matches my skin tone pretty well and it also has some shimmer in it which doesn't bother me because usually I use shimmery shadows anyways. At the moment I don't have a new one but I'm using two different cream eye shadows as primers and I would like to finish them first before getting this gem again.

My sister gave me this Avon naturals healthy hydration conditioner with Almond & Avocado since she didn't like it. I  don't remember why she gave it up but I ended up loving it. The scent is nice and Almond like and what is the most important is that it made my hair silkier and smoother whenever I would use it on my ends. I would repurchase it again but I do have another conditioner to finish up.

The very last item is one of my absolute favorite lipstick in the whole world and there isn't a surprise that it is from Essence and it is their Colour up! Shine on! Rosey Glitz lipstick. You can read my initial review about it if you follow the link and everything is still true. It is a mash between a lipstick and a tinted lip balm. It has pigment but a shine and nourishing properties of a balm. The scen/taste is still delicious and ever since I received this bullet I bought myself a back up in the same shade (I love it that much).

Empties

Hello,

pampering my skin is something I really like to do. It has become more of a ritual than hassle through the years and just now I'm realizing what works for me. It is a process and it takes time, in the mean time I buy a lot of so so products but even they have to get used up.

Let's start with the Secret Key Multi cell night repair ampoule serum. It is supposed to be a moisturizing and brightening serum, I have noticed right after applying it to my face that my skin drank it up like a glass of water in the desert. It felt extremely moisturizing especially combined with oils on top. I have a lot of acne scars (bright red dots that are super stubborn) but I wouldn't go so far to claim that it helped to reduce them faster (they take months to disappear so tracking them down and figuring out how long it takes them to go away is hard). I liked it a lot and I would get it again simply for its moisturizing properties but since I can only get it online I will try to get something similar from the stores around me.

I love Avon care hand creams (my favorite is still the most basic one named Glycerin hand, nail & cuticle hand cream). This one, youth restore hand, nail & cuticle cream was nice but it felt like it didn't absorb properly and when I went and wash my hands it came off and my skin was dry again. It just sit on top and didn't work its magic into the deeper layers of my skin.

This next product was an impulse purchase from Alverde. It is their Orange and Melissa body spray which smells amazing by the way, citrus-y but warm at the same time. It is such a shame that it is only a body spray which fades away way too fast.

The last item is a necessity for every nail polish lover. I go through a bottle of nail polish remover every couple of months. This time it was this Aveo Hibiscus nail polish remover. Towards the end I couldn't pick the scent anymore, I don't know if that is because I got used to it, it faded or my nose can't pick up the scents properly anymore. I often buy removers from this brand because they are inexpensive and effective. I already bought a new bottle again from this brand just in a different 'scent'.

My favorite category are lip products. This time around I have three. The first is old Catrice Vitamin lip treatment in a bright red shade named Bohemian Raspberry. Sheer and very glossy on the lips with a somewhat fruity scent, so very different from all the vanilla/caramel ones that are floating around. It was moisturizing and nourishing my lips and that is the important bit, I still have four left so I don't feel particularly sad about finishing this discontinued product.

Next is my first and perhaps also the last M.A.C. lip product (I find their products very expensive  and especially lip glosses are pricey considering how little product you get), mine was a gift. It is the dazzleglas in the Love Alert shade. Bright red with little shimmer particles, I liked how the color wore off, it looked lighter and just a bit flushed but it got sticky so instead of reapplying it I had to remove it completely and then apply fresh layer. It did lasted on my lips a bit longer than the rest of the glosses that I have tried but the sticky feeling toward the end, 1,92 g of product and the price tag around 20 EUR seems too much for me to handle.

And the lipstick is Avon ultra color nourishing in Nurturing Nude. These lipsticks are pretty special and unique (I have another shade and more in depth review will follow) because of its balm infused core where the pigment and clear balm are unevenly mixed together so each lipstick and every application are unique. Better review with swatches will follow but I don't think I will repurchase it again even though it was a nice nude shade with mostly lovely formula. I prefer it with more of a balm ratio so it was more of a sheer wash of color.

Last but not least is Avon Caribbean Escape  with crushed pearls and sea algae illuminating body butter. This smells so so nice but I don't like the tiny little golden shimmer because it ends up everywhere. Still, this was my second pot of it, if they will ever make it without shimmer I will buy it again but till then I will pass. Maybe I will rather get the face mask with the same scent which isn't anything too special, a bit moisturizing but I will get my kick in the scent department from it.

Empties

Hello,

yesterday's post was all about finished nail polishes and today I'm focusing on other products even though there are two more nail related products in here  :)

Let's start with the Alpstories cleansing gel with Sage and Mint. I have heard so many praises about it and was super thrilled when I won it in a giveaway. I couldn't wait to start using it but in my books this is rather an average face wash for my oily and acne prone skin. I imagined the scent to reminiscent Sage and Mint but it doesn't, it smells green and fresh which is nice for sure but I haven't noticed nothing bitter like Sage or cooling like Mint. The texture is rather liquid and it doesn't work with the packaging. That is my biggest issue with it. The pump should have a longer nozzle so I could get my open palm underneath, this short pump just make product spill down the packaging and if you don't clean it regularly it gets all sticky and icky. For sure it felt nice on my skin and it was super gentle and jet it managed to remove my make-up without stripping my skin. Nice product but I really despise the packaging and I won't be repurchasing it again because of it.

As mentioned above there is one nail polish product in the mix and it is Essence nail studio xxxl nail protector with nylon fibers. I went through a couple of bottles of it and this was my last one and it for sure will be missed since it is discontinued and there are no similar product available. Basically it is a milky base coat with small nylon fibers which holds the nail together. This is especially useful when your nails are brittle or already broken, the fibers connect, make stronger base and your nails aren't breaking as much. That is the explanation in a nutshell and I can't think of one reason why they thought that discontinuing this product was a good idea. Do you?

Aveo nail polish remover with almond oil was a simple and handy little thing. I think it removed my nail polish well and the scent wasn't so horrible. Probably I should mention the super low price tag which is not very proportionate with the efficiency of the product. I will most probably repurchase it, I think they have some other 'scents' and I might try something different or I will just buy the same almond oil infused one.

Avon Planet SPA pillow mist with Chamomile and Lavender was a joy to use. I did use it on my pillows and sheets but mostly I used it as a body spray. Who doesn't like to smell like a relaxing cup of tea? I'm not even being sarcastic here, I'm bloody serious. This sprayed around my head made every task easier and I already miss the scent. I will try to use up some other body sprays but I will repurchase this dreamy scent soon.

Last item is a lip product and usually they are colorful, this time around I have a clear one. It is Essence Transparent lip liner which got discontinued but they came back with it in a different packaging (mine is in a wooden form where I had to sharpen it but the new version comes in twist up plastic, I don't have it jet but I hope they didn't tweak the formula). It might look like a gimmick product, clear liner what is it supposed to do? Well, my friends it does a lot. When my lips were a bit dry or even chapped I applied this waxy liner on it and it smoothed the surface of my lips and I was able to use lipsticks on top (you know when your lips are flaky and colored lip product only make it look more obvious? Not if you apply this guy first), even when my lips looked its best it filled in all of my fine lines and it made my lips look plumper and even fuller (poutier not I got fillers bigger). It even prolongs the color of a product worn on top, because it is clear, transparent it doesn't add color but it helps to last everything for much longer. I will repurchase it, there is no doubt in fact this is probably one of my top ten Essence products of all times.

Empties

Hello,

happy Valentine's day if you celebrate it. I got myself some chocolate and I'm snacking on it while typing ;)
I usually post my empties on the 15th but since February is shorter I am posting it today which is the middle of the month anyway.

First bottle is Avon planet SPA Sweet Sensuality Jasmine body mist. I like this scent, it makes me think of Spring because of the flowery note but on the other hand it is nothing too special and it also doesn't last on me. I liked the scent but I won't miss it and I'm happy to use something else (after all I have 32 more bottles of perfume or body sprays to go through).

Next is Avon Advance Technique daily shine mirror shine spray, such a long name but it is oil in a spray bottle. It can make my hair look a bit greasy if I use it too much but I don't notice any drastic change other than oiliness and my hair gets tangled whenever I used it on my ends. I didn't like it but I was determined to use it. My bottle is super old but they still have it in the brochure, I would rather recommend the oils that comes in the glass bottles with the pump. I tried three out of four and they are amazing.

If I skip to the end of the row there is Catrice retouch light reflecting concealer in the shade Ivory. I talked about it last year here and I still agree with that. I liked the slight yellow tone which matched me perfectly and creaminess of the product but it didn't have enough coverage for me and in the name they mention light reflecting pigments which I can't see. The other issue is the brush applicator. I never used it directly on the skin so I didn't contaminate the product and if you don't use it regularly the product stuck on the brush will get thick and it will be hard to apply. If you get something in this type of packaging you really have to commit using it. For me this particular product wasn't worth it and I will not repurchase it.

Next is Avon luminous blush in the shade Russet. This is my first blush and I only wanted to practice with it. I honestly don't think I ever wore it on my face for longer than an hour or that somebody saw me with it. The color is beautiful burnt orange with brick red mixed in it, I'm very attracted to blushes like that (I already have Catrice blush artist palette in Bronzeclat and Benecos blush in Toasted Toffee, I compared the two here and this Avon's Russet blush comes really close). The problem I'm having with it is pigmentation. I'm very fair and this blush is PIGMENTED and therefore hard to blend out, it is pretty obvious that it was meant for deeper skin tones. I'm tossing it away since it is over five years old, I'm never wearing it and I have two other blushes in really similar shades.

The last item is Avon Ultra Color Rich Mega impact lipstick in the color Never so Nude. My mom had this shade and it looked stunning on her so of course I had to get it myself. On me it wasn't so spectacular but it was a nice creamy nude with some reflex which made my lips optically fuller. I liked it a lot but I'm happy that it is gone due to its age.

The first swatch is Russet blush and second is a heavy layer of the Never so Nude lipstick, in real life they weren't so similar. I wore the lipstick a little lighter so it wasn't so obvious but for the purpose of taking photos I layered it up.

So, five more products have meet Mr. Bin and I'm working on some others to finish before the end of this shorter month.

Hello,

I hope everyone has nice holidays. I'm sending you lots of love, health and happiness. I rarely do new year's resolution but if I do they are beauty related, something fun. I don't reinvent myself every year but instead I try to be better and top of the previous year. What about you?

I have been really good and used up a lot of product (tomorrow I will have another post filled with empty packaging, I like to split them if there are too much stuff).
First we have Krasna hand cream with lavender, cedar and orange. I talked about it last year here and I mentioned how much I love the scent and I still do. It is amazing but a little pricey, it costs around 10 € which is a lot but if I will get my hands on some coupons I will repurchase it again.

Next bottle is Avon naturals spiced orange and ginger body mist. This product is long gone which is unfortunate. I think the scent was fantastic and one of my favorite. If it would still be available I would definitely buy it again, it just doesn't get better than a fresh orange scent mixed with winter spices, I loved spraying my scarf with it and then duck my nose in it. I also find that this one was a bit more long lasting than some other scents but I don't know if it depends from the scent or in the past these naturals body mists were actually more long lasting.

Next product was in my shower for almost a year and the bottle looks a bit beaten up. It is Avon x-series Recharge hair & body wash for men. First of all the scent is fantastic, very manly and semi fresh, the other cool thing was the purple color. At first I wanted to use it solely as a body wash but the scent convinced me to use it on my hair and it work amazingly well as a clarifying shampoo. It made my hair silky soft and smooth, it tamed the frizzy hair but also made them completely straight with no volume. My hair has very little volume and when you take even that little of it away it looks a bit sad so I had to help myself with some volumizing products but I didn't care. My hair looked fantastic and they smelled good even the day after. I would definitely repurchase it if I can find it, I'm scared that Avon  discontinued this product sometime during this past year.

Next to it is another shampoo and also from Avon but from the Advance Technique line Smooth as Silk (already discontinued line). This was my 'regular' shampoo, I wash my hair every third day and on most days I used this one, maybe once in two weeks I used the bottle mentioned in previous paragraf. This one was okay, nothing special but it did it's job.

I continue with Avon products and next in line is Avon naturals dog rose and aloe toner, sadly also discontinued. I used up about seven or eight bottles of it and this one is the last one. It had nice rose scent but that wasn't the reason why I loved it so much, This toner was actually very moisturizing on my skin and I already miss it but I bought the 'new' toner from the line with rose and so far it is nice.

The last item is Avon ultra glazewear absolute lip gloss in the shade Renewing Rose which is one of my favorite glosses ever. I used up every single drop of it so I don't have a swatch photo in this post but you can check this post. I love how moisturizing it is and this shade is amazing on me, it has just the right amount of pigment and coverage, not too much but enough to show up. I already repurchase it because I saw that they will discontinue this line next year.

In this post there are a lot of awesome Avon products but a lot of them aren't available or they will soon be gone. Such a shame but I prefer to use up my beloved products then let them go bad. Tomorrow I will have another batch of empties, I guess I'm cleaning up my bathroom and want to start fresh in the new year.

Empties

Hello,

we are already on the half of the month and that means collecting my empty beauty products, take photos of them and publish them on the almighty web.

First item is Avon Planet SPA Oriental Radiance balancing facial cleanser. I reviewed it already here so I will try to be short. The pump packaging is lovely and it can also be locked so it is also travel friendly. It is a clear gel which foams up after you mix it with water and it efficiently removes all the build up grease and it smells like a fresh cut grass. In my books this baby is a winner and I will definitely repurchase it soon.

It was not long time ago since I wrote about this Avon naturals Winterberry and Shea shimmering body lotion, for longer review you can click here. The scent is phenomenal, warm and rich, texture is great, you don't need whole lot but it moisturizes like something much more expensive stuff. It is slightly tinted but nothing to worry about if you let it sink in and also it contains golden shimmers which I'm not a fan of but they are bearable. This is my second used up tube and I have one more backup, next year I will probably repurchase it again.

Bottle in the middle is from Omnia cosmetics and it is a coconut scented nail polish remover. I honestly couldn't detect any special scent so I wouldn't really suggest you to rush and get it for the scent alone. It was a nice remover but I found similar ones for even less money (Essence, Aveo) or if I will want something really scented then I will repurchase Afrodita's nail polish removers.

Next is Avon naturals Green tea and Verbena scented body mist. I started to use it in the middle of the Summer when it felt really refreshing and nice. The scent itself was very fresh and flowery but weak enough to not give me a headache. I like the scent but it didn't really knocked me out of my socks and I also wasn't too impressed with its staying power. I'm happy that I tried it but I won't repurchase it again.

Last bottle is Yves Rocher Lagoon moisturizing body mist with Monoi flower. I bought it last Summer and you can see I'm not done with it but if you look at the right bottom corner you can see something white in the bottle, that is because it went bad. Did you ever had natural apple juice? And you left it open for too long? Then you will know that the texture changed and it got a bit thick and fuzzy at the bottom, that is exactly what happened with this product. I don't want to open it up and sniff it because I might dropped dead. I still love this scent, it is like the most beautiful Summer memory caught in the bottle just waiting for you to remember. I still have the body oil and I will make sure I will use it up next year. If I return back to the spray version I would definitely love to have it back in my collection but it is only available in the Summer but I think it would be better if I try to use up some more sprays and perfumes before repurchasing but I will buy it again, probably not next year but maybe year after.

The very last item is a lipstick sample from old Avon Ultra Color Rich line in the shade Sparkling Blush. It is a nice cherry red lipstick with shimmer, I mostly wore it more as a stain (second smeared swatch) just to add some tint to my lips. In the past I loved to wear bright colors on my lips but I'm getting older and now I prefer more toned down shades so if this would still be available I wouldn't buy it. I love the now reformulated line of the Ultra Color lipsticks and I have plenty to go through if I will buy more shades they will most definitely be more natural.

Avon package

Hello,

since I haven't buy anything from the previous campaign I decided to splurge a little more on this one. Some of the items are a necessities some are make-up and I haven't decided if I should keep everything but I will know more after properly trying everything.

First I have two 'new' products, I think they are actually old just in a different packaging. Me and my sister bought the whole set but split it. I got naturals milk and honey scented body spray and handy hand cream (sister took the lotion and body wash). After a first sniff the scent is the same as it was in the old line and if you are a fan of honey this would be for you.

Next I have two humongous senses bottles, each hold 720 ml and they should last me for a while but I will use at least one of them as a hand soap. I went with one of my favorites Garden of Eden and the other one, Heaven Harmony, which smells just like lily of the valley. I haven't have this one before but I can already tell that I will love it.

The last two boxes are my treat items, that is how I see make-up, as treats. I already have bronzing pearls but in a limited edition shade Coral Glow, this time I picked up the standard color and it is simply named Glow. It is supposed to be a summery bronzer and I wonder if I will be able to pull off this color (most of Avon lightest shades or one shade fits all don't match me because my skin tone is too light), if it will turn out weird I will return it but I will make sure I will show it on the blog first.

The last box contains color correcting pearls and the concept seemed interesting enough to give it a go. The box contains five different types of colored pearls, the idea is to mix them together and apply all over. I think they are a little too shimmery for that but maybe they will work as a highlighter, we will see.

refreshing body spray

Hello,

a couple of days ago I posted my favorite perfume at the moment which is Avon Passion fruit but the truth is that I started using body spray on the photo below first. I used up around a third of the bottle when the Passion fruit fragrance came into my life and swept me of my feet.

Avon naturals Green tea and Verbena scented spritz (it is a body spray). In my last empties I showed you the matching body lotion and I started to use them at about the same time but I go through lotions so much faster.
I have been spraying myself like crazy with it because it is just not that strong and I always spray it on my clothes and hair so the scent lasts a bit longer but even that doesn't help. The scent itself is nice, very refreshing like I just got out of a cold shower and I put on freshly washed clothes. It smells very clean, green and a little bit flowery. Now I mix it with the Passion fruit and the combination is still very fruity but also refreshing and I love the combo, especially in this hot weather.
I think the scent is nice and suitable for a lot of people but lack of longevity is a downfall for me and I don't think I will repurchase it.

Sweet Sensuality

Hello,

I decided to do a bit more relaxed post today. Recently I purchased another body spray and because it is new I am constantly spraying myself with it. I have mixed feelings about it but more after the photo.

This is Avon planet SPA Sweet Sensuality body spray with Jasmine essential oil. First, the scent is very strong and if you take a deep breath through your nose it will burn, probably it has a high alcohol content but after a couple of seconds the alcohol is gone and you are left with a lovely scent.
To me it does smell like Jasmine but I can detect also other flowers. I have a feeling like this is a bouquet of flowers and Jasmine slightly overpowers everything but other blossoms are still present, what I'm trying to say is that this isn't pure Jasmine scent. After a while I can also smell a bit of Vanilla in it. It makes it warmer and happier.
The scent is lovely and I also like to spray my bed sheets with it but the downside is that it doesn't last for long, I would say half an hour. It is a shame because this could be something I would repurchase in the future.

New/old Avon items

Hello,

I feel like I went overboard with Avon purchase this time. I bough a lot of products but a lot of them were on discount page or they are brand new so the price seemed fair. In total I didn't spent that much so that is what comforts me.

As soon I will finish the items that are in current rotation I will probably start using these and I will let you know what I feel about them. On upper photo there is the new Anew vitale BB cream that I'm excited to try (I really liked the old version). Next are two planet Spa items, first is a face wash Oriental radiance, balancing facial cleanser and second is a body mist, named Sweet sensuality. The last tiny item is a new bronzing multistick in the shade Glowing nude.

Here, I repurchased naturals body lotion in Winterberry and Shea scent (yes, I loved it that much), gel like foot cream from Foot works line with a pineapple scent. Next is a lovely scented shampoo from naturals in the Pear and Vanilla scent (my sister recommended it and I always trust her) and last item is also repurchase, their Advance technique dry shampoo.

So far I'm super excited and happy with all of the products and I honestly hope my excitement will continue once I start using the products.

Monoi spray

Hello,

I'm back with something nicely scented. A while ago I wrote about the oil and since I also have the body spray version of the same scent I decided to post it here plus I checked their offical page and this line is available again.

Yves Rocher Monoi body spray

So, this is Yves Rocher Monoi body spray. The scent is the same, a bit tropical and coconut-y. It instantly teleports you into paradise. I love using them in conjunction. I moisturize my body with the oil and I follow up with the spray, a little spritz over my clothes and hair so the scent lingers longer.
This has to be my favorite combo for the warmer months, I started using them last year but honestly the year was to short. I will use them up before the summer will be over and I will definitely repurchase.

P.S. I also have the shampoo in the same scent. Yes, I know I sound a bit crazy but it smells so good. I'm only missing the perfume and oil with golden shimmer, well maybe this year I will complete the collection   ;)

Orange & Melissa

Hello,

I can't wait for Spring to arrive, well officially it is already here but I wish the weather would be more appropriate. I love warm days, lots of sun and that happiness that is in the air when everything is in full bloom. I recently picked up this body spray and oh boy, it smells like warm days.

Alverde body spray Orange & Melissa

I found this Alverde body spray in Orange & Melissa scent on sale (like most of my items). Before I have never even looked their body splashes but seeing it on sale, I just felt the need to sniff and buy it. To me it smells just like melissa I can't detect much of orange. My mom have a whole lot of it and when I go home I pick it up and dry it and make delicious tee out of it. When it is fresh it is great to spice up the water, it is so refreshing. No wonder I love the scent of this product. It remind me of home and spring/summer hot weather.
The scent is obviously not very long lasting but it stays longer if I spray it directly on my skin that if I put it on my clothes (usually it is the other way around, scents stay longer on clothes that on my skin).
I love the scent but I wish it would stay on longer but still I will use the heck out of it this year.
