Eyes Eyes Baby

l Hello,

I am back with something super sparkly. I found this one online and my curiosity got the best of me.

This one is Artdeco Eyes Eyes Baby eyeshadow palette in collaboration with xLaeta.
Top really is glittery and textured, so far none of the glitter particles fell off, so I would say that they glued them down really well.

It comes in a box which contains the names of each shade, after I opened it, there is also plastic clear sheet with the names but since this wasn't practical to keep I threw it away and now I am referencing names from taken photos.

First two shadows from each lines are matte, others are shimmery shades.

Some of these shades have crazy almost mirror like shine when I apply them with a finger, so intense and very beautiful. Not a subtle palette :)

When I dip my finger in shimmery/glittery shades it feels like they are cream products but they are not. Only the two matte shades feel 'normal' to the touch. I made these swatches on dry skin with two layers (only because the pigment started to fade coming towards the bottom of the swatch and just to make them more even I used two layers). They are very pigmented shades.

First shade, named Rain of Purple is deep and vivid, I envisioned to use it as a liner (I always go for a dark grey, sometimes for a brown liner but this time I decided to make it bold). It looks great against my blue/grey eyes.
Next shade is Matilda. Bold, bright and very yellow gold. Personally I don't like it and I knew I will not use it even before purchasing, it just isn't my cup of tea.
Next two shades are my favorite form the palette. Full House is super glowy, smokey beige shade which sparkles like crazy. I love to put it all over my lid or just in the outer corner.
Last in the line is named 1996 and an eye catcher, simply because it has this random mix seen in the pan. There is ivory, light pink and brown veining, altogether give off white sparkly effect. I love it for my inner corners or just all over the lid for that extra sparkle.

(First swatch is 1996). Second row starts with another matte, they call it Clueless Charm. This one is darker brown and I wish it would be a bit more buildable. I don't wear dark make-up on my eyes and this one is pretty dark but I tried it as a liner. For that brown definition.
Next to it is a glittery shade Friends, which in the pan looks bronzey and orange, on my skin comes off pretty warm so again this one I didn't love wearing and I know I will not be reaching for.
Next is pale pink shade Gamegirl which gave my heart a little flutter because I envisioned full on fairy make-up but it ends up leaning also a bit warm on me :( not that 'bad' but also not as pink as I would like.
Last is a sparkly green, named Kevin. It is cool toned and something about this green makes me super happy, again green is not a shade I would wear on my eyes but I tried it as a glowy liner and it looked really pretty.

For me this is a super colorful palette and even though I will not be using second Matilda and sixth Friends shade I can see myself grabbing other shades until we come to the formula. I used my regular primer first which keeps my eyeshadows put but not with these. After a few hours my eye make-up would crease. Even the liner shades don't stay (the 'beauty' of having hooded eyes).
That is the reason that now I am contemplating if I should keep them or not. Creasing defeats the purpose of wearing eye shadow for me but what if I find another primer which will make them stay? Then it would be a shame to give them away. I am really conflicted with this palette. Shades are gorgeous, the shine is crazy beautiful, only if they would stay put.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day.

Caring Rose

 Hello,

here I have another pink lip product in the line. This one is not in a tube but in a rather traditional tube with the applicator.

It is Artdeco lip wonder serum in Caring Rose. Pale, sheer pink gloss with a doe foot applicator. This tube looks large but holds only 4 ml of product.

This doe foot applicator is larger than normally but to accommodate large tube it has to be like that. I can smell slight plastic scent and after reapplying it I can also taste it. It is not good, it is mild but compared to soo many products on the market which has wonderful scent and taste... I give it a negative in that realm.

It is just slightly milky pink and on the lips the shade is almost completely clear which I don't mind. Where this products stands out in a positive way is the glossiness. It looks shiny like a mirror, it smooths over all of my lip lines and makes them look fuller without any tingle or cooling/warming effect. It stays put, on the lips for about 30-40 min, I wish it would stay longer.

I like this serum, it smooths over my lips (they look less wrinkly and instantly makes them look and feel smoother) and I like the barely there shade. That makes me want to use it but when I do I get the plastic taste and I get turned away.

I will use it up but will not be getting it again or in other shades.

Cream eye shadows

 Hello,

recently I again got interested in eyeshadow pencils. One and done kind of shadows which are supposed to be easy to apply, but soon enough I discovered that is not the case for me.

I picked out three online so while I thought all the shades should look similar, I wanted a cool toned taupe/bronze but  didn't quite succeeded :) online swatches can be deceiving.

In order they are Artdeco high performance in Pearl brown, Gosh mineral waterproof in Brown and 3ina the 24h eye stick in Cool brown.

Artdeco one is warm toned brown, Gosh is more golden than anything else and 3ina is the only cool toned taupe/brown and color wise is my favorite. On the picture you sadly can't see the true beauty of it since it has lavender hue in it and it shines beautifuly.

After wearing them for a few days I have noticed that only the Gosh one stays put, the other two crease badly even with the primer first. I gave them to my sister and kept the warm golden one, but the shade doesn't fit me that well (I am no longer loving gold on my lids) I prefer cooler tones so it is possible that I will get rid of this one too but only because of the shade.

I don't find cream shadows in stick format to be easier to use. If applied directly from the stick it deposits uneven amount and it can build up and looks bulky, I prefer applying it on the back of my hand and apply it with my finger but transfering it from my hand to my lid a lot of pigment gets lost. Applying it with the brush brushed directly from the stick doesn't help ether because they are too dry...

I still prefer to use powder shadows ether with the brush or my finger. My desire to own cream shadows in a stick format has been crushed. After trying these I no longer want them :) I will stick to my 'regular' powders and I will be much happier.

Empties

 Hello,

my first empties of this year were filled with lip products, mostly because I was almost done with them last year but year 2025 just came around too quick for some items.

I didn't completely used up two Catrice volumizing lip booster lip glosses Pink up the volume and Meet me at Coral bay. I tried really hard but at the end I gave up. They were minty and tingly glosses and I just don't love that effect anymore. The shades were lovely, light but uniformed/ didn't get in my lip lines while applied. I would definitely get tham again, especially the pink shade if they would made them tingle free.

Next is Catrice lip jam hydrating lip gloss Strawrr baby. I only tried it once, because it arrived broken. I have ordered it online and inside the package the lid broke. I can say that it smelled fruity and the shade was barely there light pink (right up my alley). I have put it aside for a few weeks, maybe up to two months and the product inside the nozzle solidified since it was opened (broken lid was just placed on he tube) and no matter how hard I was squeezing nothing came out and I had to throw it away. I am thinking of getting it again since the shade was pretty but for now I got a different shade and a bunch of newly released glosses...

This next item was also a fail and I haven't used it up actually. It is Q&A liquorice lip oil. I didn't realise that the applicator was a metal ball and this applicator I would like to leave in the past. Metal ball spins, rotates and apply product unevenly and messy. In this case it wasn't enough and I was squeezing too hard. Metal ball shot out and most of the oil was spilled all over my lap. Thankfully I was wearing black sweatpants and there were no residue left after a wash. Not much product was left so I am calling it done. The oil itself was very thin and after 10 min it was gone from my lips.

This lip balm was straight forward unpleasant. It is Nude by Nature sheer glow color lip balm in Pink 03 shade. First, it is peach nude rather than pink. Second, it had unpleasant scent, like wooden pencils but make it strong. It applied somewhat gummy or waxy and the strong scent was too much for me to bare, also the shade didn't look good on me. Basically I only put it on, wore it for maybe 15 min and removed it. It went straight for the bin.

Nude by Nature tinted balm didn't work for me but in the packaging it looked promising.

And that is the peachy swatch, not even near pink territory.

There is also Burts's bees tinted lip balm Red Dahlia. I absolutely love this shade. It has red in the name but it is not your typical red. It is somewhat cool toned with a hint of brown and violet tone. It wasn't the most hydrating balm for me but since I love the shade so much I already repurchased it :)

Lastly there are two Hurraw! lip balms. Clear one is Papaya Pineapple and tinted one is Black Cherry. I love the squished packaging but there were no hydration for my lips. Papaya Pineapple had a slight scent but nothing distinguishable. Black Cherry was noticeable and I really liked it, also the tint was gorgeous darker red but sheer. At first I was ready to repurchase it but poor hydration properties made me realise that would not be the best idea, I would rather get the Burt's bees tinted option.

La Roche - Posay lipikar lipid-replenishing cream wash was a gift with purchase. It was a nice creamy wash with a barely there scent. I liked it a lot but probably I won't get it again because I can get cheaper washes from the drug store but if I even get one of these for free I will grab them with both hands.

I have used up another one of Catrice ultra last fixing spray. It is very inexpensive and effective, I sill have more than 10 bottles so I don't need to run out and get more. I am fully loaded :)

In the past I already had mini bottles of Moroccanoil light hair treatment, they were free gifts and based of them I decided to get this one. The scent is gorgeous and my hair feel silky and smooth after using it. The price is a bit high but at the end I think it is worth it for me. I have a few others to go through but I will get it again. I haven't noticed a lot of difference in texture with the original or light (I had samples of both)... I can use both on dry hair and it won't grease my hair out.

Little black pot is Artdeco eye shadow primer. This was my fourth pot and probably my last. It always worked for me but this pot felt different. My eye shadows started to crease no matter what so I gave in and gave this pot to my sister (she still likes it) and I purchased something more expensive and thankfully it works for me. I am a little sad that we had to part ways but I prefer my shadows to stay in place when I put them on my eyes.

Last is Nude by Nature Perfecting concealer Shell Beige. I purchased a bunch of products as part of the trial set and this concealer was included. It was pretty light and yellow toned, really nice match for my skin tone. It was very light in coverage but the plus side is that it didn't crease. I wanted to buy it again and use it on my more easy going days (natural coverage) but the price tag seems a bit high for it... maybe if I will find it on sale I might pick it again.

Little baby swatch at the bottom of the tube, nothing more was left :(

Empties

 Hello,

I am super late but my empties have been waiting for me. First photo is showcasing my empties in March and second is from April.

First is one of my favorite hand creams. It is Avon care coconut hydrating hand cream. Lightly scented, easily spreadable and very moisturizing. The price is also not too high and this one remains as one of my favorites and I am buying it again.

Next is Teaology matcha tea ultra firming face cream. This was a blunder since I wanted the gel version but I was in too much of a rush and I also didn't know that there is also a cream version. It is super green and if I didn't blend it all the way in I could look like shreek :) towards the end I started to really like it (the formula not the color) but I will rather get the gel version since it is moisturizing enough and I prefer the texture.

On top is my beloved Artdeco eyeshadow base. It is somewhat my skin tone and has some minor shimmer but I don't mind it since I rarely wear matte looks. This is one of the rare bases which holds my eyeshadow s in place. I already purchased a new pot and I already started using it.

Holika Holika petit moisturizing BB cream is one of my old school products. I used to wear it on its own but now I only wear BB creams on my vacation or I put them on my neck to help matching my face to the rest of my body. At the moment I am using another one of my holy grails which is Skin 79 Gold BB and that one tops this one for me. This one has a bit thinner texture and can look a bit dark on me but with a little effort I can make it work.

The very last item is Beauty of Joseon calming serum Green Tea & Panthenol with calming and moisturizing properties. Full of vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. I liked the thin formula and slight green tint but honestly I didn't noticed much of a difference in my skin. I also have two other versions and I will see if the two will be more effective but for now this green version won't be bought again.

I has been ages since I used Herbal Essences shampoos and when I saw this one I just had to have it. It is deep repair with manuka honey. The scent was divine and it did made my hair softer but using it non stop the conditioner on top also made an impact. I hoped this shampoo will be even more moisturizing but I guess I can't have it all. I haven't decided if this shampoo will be repurchased since I have a bunch of other shampoos but I loved the scent and that is also important :)

I had this Balea Flower Shower body wash before. It is super inexpensive and smells like Blackberries. For me thise Balea body washes are a hit or a miss, some scents turn out plasticky but fortunatelly this one is nice I am not picky as long as I get some bubbles and it gets me clean. Att he moment I am using a plum scented one which is also nice.

Heimish makes All clean make-up cleansing balm. This is first time using a balm to remove make-up (I think) and it is amazing. It does removes everything and it doesn't leave much residue. I always follow with second wash so it is fine if there is some product left. I was really impressed with it and I will probably buy it again. Something to mention is also a little plastic spoolie that comes with it so I never had to stick my fingers in it :)

Little tube on top is Kiehl's Creamy Eye treatment with Avocado. Me and my sister made a little purchase and they let you pick some items. My sister really likes it and she suggested to get this mini for myself. I find this formula weird. It doesn't mix with water or serums. I had to make sure my skin and fingers were dry othervise it just didn't want to move around but when I figure this out it was nice but it started to bug me so much that at the end I just used it up and I won't be buying it.

Next is hand cream from Iliria, their famous 48h protecting hand cream. The formula is easily absorbed, it doesn't leave greassy stains and makes my hands super soft. It is neck to neck with Avon coconut one, the scent on this one is gentle and cream like (when you smell it you get the idea that you are smelling a lotion). I already purchased two of them as backups.

Another one of Catrice fixing sprays is gone. Such a big impact in a small 50 ml bottle. It can feel like hair spray on my face if I apply too much at once but it does hold my make up in place. Everytime I place an order through online skincare and fragrance store I get a few of those, probably I have now around 20 backups and I am not planing on stopping anytime soon.

The very last item is another holy grail of mine and I went through so many tubes of it already and I already have two backups ;) It is Neutrogena oil free face moisturizer. It is normal cream texture but absorbs quickly and hydrates my skin all day long. One weird fact is that I have been using it for a few years but the packaging changes so many times... it is insane, thankfully the product remains the same.

Empties

Hello,

my goal of not buying skin care and make-up products is going well, instead whenever I feel the urge to get something new I open my closet, drawls, boxes... and look at all the products I already have and need to be finished up. I often find something hidden in the back that I almost forget about...

Zara Brown Sugar & Mint Leaves body spray is very old and I for sure know they don't make these anymore but they were really nice. I think they had four or five different scents (I owned three) and they were very long lasting for body sprays and super cheap. This version was very creamy and cozy. It wasn't too sweet and I have to thank the mint leaves for that, it wasn't minty at all but it helped toned down the sweet notes. I usually put it on in the morning (two sprays on the skin) and then put whatever perfume I wore that day, it complimented pretty much all of my fragrances very well and that was also a reason I wore it daily and managed to finish it up completely in a relatively short amount of time.

Avon Care glycerin hand & nail cream are some of my favorites and this was a limited edition scent with Jasmine but I think it is still available. I don't really pick up the Jasmine note but it does smell nice, to me it is more of a clean and fresh scent and not that much floral. Fun fact, Avon Care hand creams are now available in 75 ml tubes only except for this scent which is still in the old 100 ml tube while the prices are the same (I have a couple of backups ready to go in case they decide to discontinue it).

My favorite and second pot of Artdeco eye shadow base is complete. It has a bit of a tint to it but it matches my skin tone pretty well and it also has some shimmer in it which doesn't bother me because usually I use shimmery shadows anyways. At the moment I don't have a new one but I'm using two different cream eye shadows as primers and I would like to finish them first before getting this gem again.

My sister gave me this Avon naturals healthy hydration conditioner with Almond & Avocado since she didn't like it. I  don't remember why she gave it up but I ended up loving it. The scent is nice and Almond like and what is the most important is that it made my hair silkier and smoother whenever I would use it on my ends. I would repurchase it again but I do have another conditioner to finish up.

The very last item is one of my absolute favorite lipstick in the whole world and there isn't a surprise that it is from Essence and it is their Colour up! Shine on! Rosey Glitz lipstick. You can read my initial review about it if you follow the link and everything is still true. It is a mash between a lipstick and a tinted lip balm. It has pigment but a shine and nourishing properties of a balm. The scen/taste is still delicious and ever since I received this bullet I bought myself a back up in the same shade (I love it that much).

Empties

Hello,

the end of the month is here and it is time to discard all of the empty packaging that I collected in the past two weeks.

Terra Naturi Pomegranate body lotion. They say it is limited edition but I bought it at least last year if it is not even older and it is still available. I loved the relaxing scent of pomegranate and I can detect some of that typical 'cream' scent which I find very comforting and nice. Was it moisturizing? I think it was, nothing super hydrating but good enough for my skin. At the moment I have loads of lotions that I have to go through first but if it will be available when I will clear out my stash I would repurchase it.

Next to it is the second body moisturizer for the month and it is Avon Planet SPA Moroccan Romance with Rose oil body oil. It had that typical rose scent that I'm crazy about but this line was available for only a short amount of time. I did bought myself a backup and when that will be gone I'm sure I will be able to find something similar in the drugstore.

There in the special packaging is my favorite hand cream which is Avon Care glycerine hand and nail cream. This absorbs fast, doesn't leave greasy residue and helps calm down and moisturize my hands like nothing else plus it is very cheap. I always have this one in stock and this time it is not an exception.

The last tube is Avon Anew Vitale eye cream. It had a thin formula which absorbed fast and it did hydrate my skin. The only issue I had with it was that it irritated my eyes sometimes. It is not that I put it too close to my eyeball but I figure it out that when it absorbed it irritated my eyes from the inside. I know that because the burning feeling happened after a couple of minutes of applying it and even when I was rinsing them it didn't help that much. I learned my lesson and apply very little at the time and that is how I avoided the nasty feeling but it also took me a while to finish it up. Needles to say that I won't repurchase it.

Alerde makes this Rosehip face oil that I love so much. It only comes in 15 ml packaging but it has a nice pump to get just the right amount. I have been a fan of it for years and it really helped to calm down my skin so it is not as red and irritated. I talked about it here  and I still agree with it. The next time I will be at the drugstore I will pick another bottle.

The very last item is Artdeco eye shadow base. It is skin colored (it matches my fair skin) and it has some silver shimmer which doesn't bother me because I usually opt for shimmery look anyways but if I decide to wear matte on the lids my shadows are capable of covering the shimmer up. I tried a couple of primers and nothing worked until I stumbled upon this one. It looks tiny but it also lasted me for more than two years, you simply don't need that much of it. The last time I was in the drugstore and I actually wanted to pick it up they had 30 % off of everything and I got myself a new one which is just as good as this used one (you know, sometimes they change the formula when you're not looking and thankfully they didn't do that with this little pot of magic).

New in

Hello,

I have genuinely cut my cosmetics shopping habits mostly by completely avoiding drugstores. If I can't see all of the new and discontinued make-up items and skin care products I won't be tempted, right? In this past week I made two quick jumps into the store and came out with some products. I could do better because there is only one item I 'really' needed, the rest are just extras but I still feel okay since 5 isn't such a high number and I could buy way more but I resisted.

First is Natura Siberica vivid vitamins for hair and body and offers instant hydration. This brand intrigued me for a couple of years but I have only tried one of their products before and it broke my skin out. I hope this product will work better for me and I will be able to see some good results.

Next is Alverde Mint and Currant lip balm. I definitely don't need any more lip products but I'm a sucker for anything mint and the label says limited edition so I felt the pressure to get it now even if I'm good for the next two years. Does anybody else feels the same? Missing out on products, even if you deep down know that the next year they will have something similar if not identical and you don't need to stock up?

Balea makes this little scented pots of cream and I already bought two (one was used up  and the other one is still waiting). I liked it so when I saw Peach and Papaya scent I had to get it. They had some other scents as well but I decided to only get one at the time especially since I still have one from last year.

The only product I 'needed' was this Artdeco eye shadow base. I'm just done with my first pot and when I saw 30% off I decided that it was a sigh sent from above. I have tried a couple of eye shadow bases and nothing really worked so I knew that when I will be done with it I will repurchase it so the sale came in on time. I won't loose my words about this product, if you have oily lids you need this little miracle pot in your life.

The very last item is so unexpected and I'm still in shock that I found it. The other day I was in Tuš Drogerije to see if they have the Essence Coast 'n' Chill collection (they didn't) but instead I saw a whole 1 meter stand full of Make-up Revolution London products. Who knew that this brand is available in Slovenia? I sure didn't. I started swatching some products and quickly become overflown with swatches so at the end I decided to get this lovely baked looking bronzer (not that I need any more). They have two Vivid baked bronzers but I got the lightest shade called Ready to go and I was impressed by the slight sheen that it gives. For more information I will have to actually try it on my face and I will report back.

more shopping

Hello,

I was in need for some retail therapy and for me that means that I went into drugstore and bought some make-up. I know I shouldn't because I have enough but I picked some items up that were on my wish list for soo long, now I wish I would wait a little longer because I could get the two Catrice blushes for less (have you seen which products from Catrice are leaving us and what will replace them? I'm excited and I can wait for the end of the month).

I bought the'last' Catrice Illuminating blush (I already have the other two and they are among my favorites). This one is called Coral me maybe and it is  a very light peachy shade.

Under it there is another Catrice blush from the Defining line. I have heard loads of amazing reviews about it so picked up one shade to give it a go (all of the shades will leave the range). I decided to get dusty, rusty rose shade named Sunrose Avenue.

I'm not a big fan of matte cheeks but this Essence shade in Rose me up! stole my heart. It looks pretty neutral. like a face powder for a few shades darker skin tones but as mentioned it caught my eyes and I just had to have it. Out of the three blushes I bought this one maybe looks the most blah but I'm the most excited about it.

One eye shadow belongs  to the ARTDECO longlasting line and this particular shade is Satin Light Taupe. I was left spechlees after swatching this beautiful neutral brown shade. I think it will fit perfectly into my eye shadow collection.

For last I saved the only lip product. It is Catrice Lip Glow Lip Pencil Secret Glowtensify liner in a pink color which reacts with the warmth of your lips. I don't know why I felt the need to purchase it since I had some lip glosses or the Essence lipstick which were also activated by the warmth and they all turn bright pink on me. I guess I'm an optimist and after trying it out I will see if we will get along or not.

more nail polishes

Hello,

a couple of days ago there was a good deal on nail polishes and of course I had to spend all my money on it. I  had no self control when I saw these beauties. Just yesterday I talked about the Catrice ICONails polishes and how I feel like they aren't anything special but if I will find some nice shades I will still get them, remember that? I bought four bottles.

They had them in sets and I picked out the green one and more neutral one. The darkest green is called Mermayday Mayday and lighter one next to it is Mint Map. In the second set the taupe one is named Taupe League and the delicate shade is Want to be my brightsmaid? All four are shimmer free and I can't wait to try them out.

I was leaving when I caught with the corner of my eye something sparkly. I wanted to try the Moon Rock polishes ever since they came out but somehow I never did (they will discontinue them so if you want them you should hurry). I picked the beautiful berry shade called Moonlight Berriage and lavender/grey one is named Magical Bluelight (I don't know where they got the inspiration for that name because I can see any blue in it). And lastly I picked up the ARTDECO nail polish thinner simply because I'm running very low on my bottle.

Project polish

Hello,

almost a month after posting my last project polish post I'm back with another one and again 2 varnishes are out the door.

Catrice Miss Piggy Reloaded bottle has come to an end. I really liked this bubblegum pink with small pink/gold shimmer and I posted my manicure here if you are interested to see how it looked. I would repurchase this shade but it is discontinued.

Second is Artdeco Blazing Sunburst. I don't have any photos of it because I didn't really liked it that much. I remember I got it from a nice girl, she said that she doesn't like it and send it to me. It was yellow polish with lots of golden shimmer and I hoped that the base color won't show up so I could use it as a pretty top coat but it was too pigmented for that. The only way to wear it was over cream yellow polish but I just don't like yellow nails so I ended up using it as a base coat underneath, so it wasn't even visible. I know, not ideal but I don't know anyone else who would enjoy yellow nails. The bottle is small, 4 ml but it still took me several months to go through it.

I'm so happy to finish two more bottles and now I used up or tossed 15 bottles all together this year. I am planing to use up 5 more this year and I think next year I will continue since I'm having so much fun.

Comparison of the two eye shadows

Hello,

today I decided for something more colorful. It has been a while since I posted something eye related.
I wanted to show you my favorite and the most recently bought golden eye shadow.

Alverde mono eye shadow in Elegant Beige & ARTDECO long-wear eye shadow Satin Gold

In the round green pan there is Alverde mono eye shadow in Elegant Beige. The finish is sateen and almost metallic looking. The color itself is neutral almost cool looking.

The second one is ARTDECO long-wear eye shadow Satin Gold from the limited edition called Art Couture. I like the slightly more shimmery finish but the shade is not my favorite. To me it is a smidge too yellow.

My eyes are grey/blue and I like the contrast that the golden eye shadow gives. It adds more dimension and warmth to my cooler eye color.

For me the Alverde one is the winner. I love the buttery soft texture and the color. The other day I wanted to check which colors they also have and noticed that they already discontinued this beauty and other shades that they offer didn't really got my attention (thank God because I really  don't need more shadows).

ARTDECO eye shadow base

Hello,

this time I will talk about my Holy Grail product. I have very oily lids and I tried a couple of other bases and nothing worked until this one came into my life. I heard good things about it and I decided to buy it and I don't regret it. I purchased it at the end of March this year and I still have tons of product left.

ARTDECO eye shadow base

It is ARTDECO eye shadow base. It come in this little pot which contains 5 g and costs around 6 or 7€. Quite cheap if you ask me. I would prefer different packaging because the more I use it the harder I get the product out. I am sure every lady with longer nails understand my issue. But none the less I figure it out and I manage to get the product out without getting it under my nails.

The product itself looks beige, skin colored but when I apply it on it doesn't really cover anything so it is more or less colorless but it does have some shimmer. Sometimes I use it on its own because I don't mind shimmer but if you prefer matte eye shadows the shimmer doesn't show through.

Since I started using it I wear eye shadows on a daily base because now I know they will last all day long. It doesn't matter if I use cheap or more expensive eye shadows, matte or shimmery, loose pigment or cream product this little boy handles all of them.
This has become my staple in my make-up routine and I will keep buying it. I recommend you to try it if you have oily lids and if you can find it in the store you won't regret it.

ARTDECO celebrates 30 years

Hello,

brand ARTDECO launched collection to celebrate their milestone and it is called Art Couture. From them I only tried their magnificent eye shadow primer but this time I opted for some eye shadows. They had 30% off and I splurge a bit.

ARTDECO Art Couture collection

They released new magnetic packaging to keep new long lasting eye shadows in. It is beautiful and glossy but that also means that fingerprints show up.

I went with three of the long lasting ones and one regular. They had a deal if you bought at least three shadows from this LE you got the magnetic box (it retails for 12,99€) for free. Originally eye shadows which are part of the collection cost 7,49€ and contains 1,5 g. The smaller one which is a part of their regular line costs 4,99€ and contains 0,8 g.
I haven't made any swatches or used them yet. They are so beautiful to watch and I don't want to ruin them.
Does anyone else does that?
