Eyes Eyes Baby

l Hello,

I am back with something super sparkly. I found this one online and my curiosity got the best of me.

This one is Artdeco Eyes Eyes Baby eyeshadow palette in collaboration with xLaeta.
Top really is glittery and textured, so far none of the glitter particles fell off, so I would say that they glued them down really well.

It comes in a box which contains the names of each shade, after I opened it, there is also plastic clear sheet with the names but since this wasn't practical to keep I threw it away and now I am referencing names from taken photos.

First two shadows from each lines are matte, others are shimmery shades.

Some of these shades have crazy almost mirror like shine when I apply them with a finger, so intense and very beautiful. Not a subtle palette :)

When I dip my finger in shimmery/glittery shades it feels like they are cream products but they are not. Only the two matte shades feel 'normal' to the touch. I made these swatches on dry skin with two layers (only because the pigment started to fade coming towards the bottom of the swatch and just to make them more even I used two layers). They are very pigmented shades.

First shade, named Rain of Purple is deep and vivid, I envisioned to use it as a liner (I always go for a dark grey, sometimes for a brown liner but this time I decided to make it bold). It looks great against my blue/grey eyes.
Next shade is Matilda. Bold, bright and very yellow gold. Personally I don't like it and I knew I will not use it even before purchasing, it just isn't my cup of tea.
Next two shades are my favorite form the palette. Full House is super glowy, smokey beige shade which sparkles like crazy. I love to put it all over my lid or just in the outer corner.
Last in the line is named 1996 and an eye catcher, simply because it has this random mix seen in the pan. There is ivory, light pink and brown veining, altogether give off white sparkly effect. I love it for my inner corners or just all over the lid for that extra sparkle.

(First swatch is 1996). Second row starts with another matte, they call it Clueless Charm. This one is darker brown and I wish it would be a bit more buildable. I don't wear dark make-up on my eyes and this one is pretty dark but I tried it as a liner. For that brown definition.
Next to it is a glittery shade Friends, which in the pan looks bronzey and orange, on my skin comes off pretty warm so again this one I didn't love wearing and I know I will not be reaching for.
Next is pale pink shade Gamegirl which gave my heart a little flutter because I envisioned full on fairy make-up but it ends up leaning also a bit warm on me :( not that 'bad' but also not as pink as I would like.
Last is a sparkly green, named Kevin. It is cool toned and something about this green makes me super happy, again green is not a shade I would wear on my eyes but I tried it as a glowy liner and it looked really pretty.

For me this is a super colorful palette and even though I will not be using second Matilda and sixth Friends shade I can see myself grabbing other shades until we come to the formula. I used my regular primer first which keeps my eyeshadows put but not with these. After a few hours my eye make-up would crease. Even the liner shades don't stay (the 'beauty' of having hooded eyes).
That is the reason that now I am contemplating if I should keep them or not. Creasing defeats the purpose of wearing eye shadow for me but what if I find another primer which will make them stay? Then it would be a shame to give them away. I am really conflicted with this palette. Shades are gorgeous, the shine is crazy beautiful, only if they would stay put.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day.
