20. NOTD

Hello,

another beautiful day for another gorgeous nail polish color. I'm in love with muddy, dusky grey shades and this one is just one of those.

Avon Color Trend Rare

It is my second shade from Avon Color Trend line and it is called Rare. It is lighter grey/beige shade. It is hard to say which one is it because it also depends from the light.

Avon Color Trend Rare

This one has completely different formula than the Pout shade. It is watery and very light, not very pigmented at least the first coat. I was worried how many coats it will take to be completely opaque but second coat did the trick, just to be sure I applied three coats because on the photo it is more obvious if the polish is on the sheer side so I think in the future two coats will be enough.
I'm really happy with this shade as well, I absolutely adore it.

Bright eyes

Hello,

I have been seen wearing this double ended pencil for the past few days. Today even my mom commented how pretty it looks on my eyes so I decided that it is time to write my opinion.

Avon Color Trend Bright eyes

Avon has already discontinued this product but you can still find it on sale, I bought mine for just 1,5 €. For that price you get normal sized pencil with two different colors. It is part of their youthful line Color Trend and the name of this particular shade option is Bright eyes.

Avon Color Trend Bright eyes

This is the black side and it is not very dark, it actually swatches more dark grey but I don't mind since I think black looks too harsh on me and I always go with dark grey instead black, what I'm trying to say is that this is right up my alley but I imagine it won't be everyone cup of tea.

Avon Color Trend Bright eyes

With the lighter side I had some problems at the beginning. It was so hard and I almost bruised my hand when I tried to swatch it, apparently it had to be warmed up to make it work but now it is fine, it is soft as a butter.

Avon Color Trend Bright eyes

Here they are, as you can see black is not really pitch black and the highlighting shade has that golden tone that on my pale skin pulls a bit orange-y gold which is not my favorite but I do like the slight metallic finish along the lover lash line which sparkles so nicely and drags more attention on my eyes.
I will really enjoy using it more but I can see why they discontinued it so fast.

Pink Daisy and Sicilian Lemon

Hello,

I have some more moisturizers for you. This time it is from Avon, I had this particular scent for a while but I never got around to use it since I have so many of them but I saw that this one will get discontinued soon so I decided that I will try it before it will be gone.

Avon Naturals Pink Daisy and Sicilian Lemon body lotion

It is from their Naturals line and the scent is Pink Daisy and Sicilian Lemon. I do smell lemon and some flowers, I was worried that it will smell like bathroom cleanser but surprisingly it is not like that. Actually when it is absorbed into the skin it smells more like a bouquet of spring flowers, the scent is not to strong and slowly fades away. The texture is the same as with other lotions from the line and not super moisturizing but if I use it consistently every day it is okay.
I already used a third and I can't make up my mind if I would repurchase the scent, probably not since I have over 30 bottles and tubes of moisturizers but the scent is never the less lovely and I do enjoy using it.

Tranparent lines

Hello,

I'm not huge on lip liners but I do like if my lipstick stays put even after a cup of tea. I bought my first liner last year and I have been loving it but I felt something was missing. When I saw this one I knew this was it.

Essence lip liner Transparent

Everyone is talking about these Essence lip liners and raves about them. They are just 1.15 €, total steal, so I got myself a transparent shade which can be matched with every lip color under the sun. It definitely is a bit waxy and not so dry as the Avon one (which I absolutely adore). When I put this one on I can definitely feel it when I press my lips together but when I top it off with a lipstick it is not detectable but it does lasts longer not as long as the Avon one but it does prolong the wear. I probably won't pick other shades but I think I will repurchase the transparent version.

Velvet matt

Hello,

today was a lovely day, great to swatch some eye shadows. I bought these two Catrice Velvet matt ones in January and I have been wearing them, not as much as I should but I think I can excuse myself because I recently bought so many of them.
The formula is great and I'm not quite sure why they had to discontinue them.

Catrice Velvet matt Vanillaty fair
Catrice Velvet matt Princess Mattleine

They are both nice and have a creamy consistency. No shimmer is present but they have more of a sateen finish, it makes them glow without the particles. I love them for that but when it comes to the specific colors I get really particular, they look quite different on the skin than they do in the pan.

Catrice Velvet matt Vanillaty fair & Princess Mattleine

Vanillaty Fair has that white/yellow base with a strong gold reflex, it looks nice on it's own or layered under some gold shimmery shades to give more coverage. I love using it but I can't say the same for the other shade.
Princess Matteleine looks flesh toned beige to me but somehow it turns more orange-y on my skin and specially on my lids. It makes me look like I'm sick or something. On it's own it really doesn't look flattering on me but I tried to wear it as a base color and it is fine and I'm sure I will be able to use it up, it's just not my favorite.

19. NOTD

Hello,

I recently bought two new nail polishes and they belong to the new revamped Color Trend line by Avon. I have some old ones and they are okay, nice colors and formulas but I always struggled with a brush. It is so basic and kind of all over the place that I find it hard to paint my nails precisely with it. They revamped the line like I mentioned but the bottles are the same, also the brush is back. It looks like they only changed the shades and as far as I can say they are all with a cream finish and nicely pigmented.

Avon Color Trend Pout

This beautiful pale pink shade is called Pout. Recently I have been enjoying light shades like this one and I'm so happy that it also looks good on me.

Avon Color Trend Pout

The formula on this one is definitely not the best, probably the worst out of the all Color Trend shades that I own. Truth is that pale/pastel shades often have weird formulas and this one is not an exception. I had to layer three coats to get nice and even finish without bald patches. I think I can survive with that simply because I love the shade, if the color wouldn't convinced me I would send it back.

L'oreal Shine Caresse

Hello,

today I have some more lip products. For this year I decided that I will try to buy as little as possible because I have over 100 lip products already and I need to seriously start working on them and use them up before they go bad. Going through what I have I came across these two.

L'oreal Shine Caresse Lolita & Romy

L'oreal Shine Caresse lippies are like longlasting lip glosses which stain once the gloss is gone, which happens after 8-9 hours, including drinking. I can apply them and work for 8 hours with lunch break and they survive, I just have to be careful while eating but for a better feeling I take them with me and reapply after a meal.

L'oreal Shine Caresse Romy & Lolita

The first pink one is called Romy and it has some silver shimmer which isn't too obvious but it adds some shine.
The second one is Lolita and it is a nude, on my lips it is not as orangey as it looks on the swatch but it shows up more neutral. This one also contains micro shimmer but it is slightly more obvious and gold.
I have to mention the scent which is quite strong. They smell like very sweet and artificial candy with some plastic thrown in the mix. The scent lingers a while and the worst is when I reapply, then the plastic taste gets in my mouth and you can imagine how nasty that is.

L'oreal Shine Caresse Romy & Lolita

This are the stains left after 15-20 min, so you can see that even the gloss wears off you are left with something on, so you can reapply just lip balm or clear gloss and that should do.
I like everything about them except that scent/taste. I would say I'm normally not to sensitive but these two are intense. I won't toss them away but I for sure won't buy more.

Cushion BB cream

Hello,

I couldn't resist buying the oh, so hot right now, cushion BB cream. They are everywhere and so damn expensive. I found a bit cheaper version plus it is just a refill, plain plastic packaging which comes without the sponge so I tried to apply it with my fingers. Probably the finish is better with a sponge but I simply don't have it.

A'pieu Air Fit cushion refill in the shade 23

A'pieu Air Fit cushion refill in the shade 23. I honestly don't know what I have been thinking because I know for sure that I'm 21 or sometimes even 13 (shade not age ;)
So refills comes in this little white pots without anything written on them.

A'pieu Air Fit cushion refill in the shade 23

Once you press finger on it and pick the color it swatches lighter but it is still too dark for me. I was kind of surprised that the texture is so light, liquidy. I don't know why but I expected to be thicker.

Here it is swatched on the back of my hand. I blended it in on the lower part of my hand, so you can see how off the color is and my face is even lighter plus you can spot how dewy my skin looks. I like moisturized looking skin but the coverage is almost non existing. I wore it three times when I was at home so no one saw me. It made my skin very dewy and all of my imperfections still show through, it blurred them but not covered.
I'm disappointed, not just about the color because if that would be all I could mix with with something lighter or I would just buy the lightest shade  and mixed my own shade but the non existing coverage bothers me. If you have far from being perfect skin than you understand me.

I'm not so sure if I will try more of the cushion BB creams, maybe other brands but so far I just don't trust them. I'm googling the Missha limited edition ones which feature cute Line Friends (bears or chickens all over) but I don't think I would buy something triple the price just because of the sweet packaging.

Avon dry shampoo

Hello,

as soon as I saw that Avon will have dry shampoo I knew I will have to have it. I had high hopes about it and so far I tried it twice and it was enough to form an opinion.

Avon Advance Techniques dry shampoo

From the Avon Advance Techniques dry shampoo I expected to have the same scent as the rest of the line but it is slightly different. More sweet with a hint of fruit thrown in the mix, well at least that is what I get out of it. My sister the other day commented how nice I smell and this was the only scented product I had on, so the scent is appealing and not stinky as Batiste one.
The dig difference is in the color of it. This one is colorless, I even spray my hand with it to prove it and it really is clear so no matter your hair color, you can use it and don't need to worry about it. I love that it is not sticky like the horrible Aussie one was.
The only slightly negative aspect is that it is not super strong. What I meant with that statement is that this looks like it does not spray powder or probably it does but not a lot of it. My hair looks matte after I use any other dry shampoo and that is the reason why you have to go through with a brush, to remove the excess of powder. With this one you don't need to because it is clear and does not mattify your scalp. The hair still look shiny and maybe a bit oily. I found that I just end up spraying a bit more to get the nice hair effect and because of that I will probably use it up a bit faster than others.

I still like it, I love the scent and the fact that it is colorless makes it so fast to use (no brushing or shaking) but to get the desirable effect I have to spray more, I will definitely repurchase it but I will wait for some nice sale to come around.

Avon package

Hello,

today I spent my day with my family. We really had a great day and even the weather was kind of nice. This week was also the week when Avon package arrived and I picked only three products from this campaign and since they were on sale I end up paying only 1 € for each.

Naturals strand strength detangling spray with Apricot & Shea and Color Trend nail polishes in Rare & Pout

I picked up this Naturals strand strength detangling spray with Apricot and Shea. My hair don't get tangled but I got it because I had a hunch that it will smell amazing and guess what, it really does.
The next two items I just had to, they were only 1 € each, I'm surprised that I haven't picked all of the shades. They are nail polishes from revamped Color Trend line, one is called Rare and the other one is Pout.

Absolutely Nude

Hello,

for this year I decided that I will really try to use this palette as much as possible because I have two of them. My lovely sister found it in the store and got one for me and one backup for herself and at the same time I bought one before it was gone. So now we both have two  ;)

Catrice Absolute Nude palette

This is how it looks Catrice Absolute Nude palette, with all neutral cream and brown shades with one khaki shade thrown in the mix.

Catrice Absolute Nude palette

The first one is almost a metallic cream shade perfect as an inner corner highlighter which I think is best applied with the sponge tip applicator that comes with it. At first it looks like it is cream eye shadow but it is not, I have to say that the texture is weird but in a good way.
The second shade barely shows up on my skin, all I can see is shimmer. I'm not to crazy about it but I can see myself using it all over the lid for a super light make-up.
At first I didn't liked to much the third shade but then I figure it out that it is perfect for the crease and since then I always use it when I pick up this palette.
The fourth shade is a bit unexpected because it is khaki/gold shade but it fits so beautiful in it and I adore it as an all over the lid shade. This one in my opinion makes this whole palette so great.
The last two shades are dark brown, one is a bit more shimmery and chalkier also the tones are slightly different but when I put them on I can't really see the difference. I use them to smoke out the top and bottom lash line for anything else are too dark. I don't like too dark eye looks on myself.
If I could restyle this palette I would leave out the shimmery second shade and one of the dark ones at the end, I only need one of them but otherwise I really like it and I will use it with joy.

For this year I decided I will try to use around half of this palette so I can finish it next year since I have two of them.

Hazelnut Squirrel

Hello,

I have a skincare post for you today. My skin can get really dry and itchy so I make a point and moisturise every evening after a shower and I go through moisturisers with a speed of light and I'm constantly on a hunt for a new formula and scents. I was seeing this butter in the store for a while and I also found positive reviews about it plus the price was super low. Did I mentioned it has a squirrel on it? Super cute.

 Balea Hazelnut body butter

Everyone compares the scent of this Balea Hazelnut body butter with Monte dessert. The scent really is similar and applying this all over my body makes me feel like a hazelnut cake  ;)

 Balea Hazelnut body butter

I was a bit scared because I don't like chocolate and nut scents in body product (I love eating them but as scented product they often smell fake and that makes me feel sick). I didn't had high hopes and I seriously thought that I won't be able to leave it on my skin. What a surprise, on the skin first it actually did smell a bit artificial and it makes me sick but when it sinks in (a minute or two) the scent kind of adapts, it mixes with my skin and there is still a bit of hazelnut in the air but there is also some warmth. If you imagine cabin in the middle of the woods and you are all warm and cozy in your pijamas in front of the fire place and sipping hot cocoa. It gives me that kind of felling.
This buttery pot really surprised me in a positive way but I'm not so sure if I will repurchase it right away, I have a feeling I will get tired of the scent or maybe in the spring I will just want something more fresh but if this will still be available next winter I will seriously reconsider repurchasing it.

Raspberry and Hibiscus

Hello,

today I will show you which products I use in the shower at the moment for my hair. I would say I'm for the most part genetically blessed with good hair and so I don't mess around with them too much. They are pretty long (my sister says that I could walk topless and no one would noticed  ;), light brown with natural blond streaks and straight with very little volume.

Avon Naturals Raspberry & Hibiscus shampoo and conditioner

So for a couple of years now I use mostly Avon products and since they work great I don't feel the need to try products from other brands.
I used up one bottle of this shampoo before and I remembered that I liked it so this time I went and bought the whole line. They are suppose to give you volume and my hair are really flat and straight with no grip so to get any volume it is to say the least challenging. They however don't make my hair voluminous but they make them super straight (I know my hair are naturally straight but sometimes I get a random curl or the tips get a bit curled but using this shampoo and conditioner makes them flat as if I would use the iron, people are actually asking me if I straighten them up but nope it is just these two guys). I like that because I can't do much with my hair so minor differences are much appreciated. The second thing is the scent. This is supposed to smell like Raspberry and Hibiscus, I'm not so sure how Hibiscus smells but it doesn't really matters because all I can smell are fresh Raspberries and the scent lingers on the next day as well.

Avon Naturals Raspberry & Hibiscus daily hair refresher

This is the third item in this line and it says it is a daily hair refresher. What can I say about it? It is Raspberry scented water, I use it instead of parfum. I haven't noticed anything dramatic while using it for the past month in terms of moisture or volume.
Would I repurchase this line? Shampoo and conditioner in a hart beat but I can't make my mind about this hair spray. It really does nothing but the scent is nice. Maybe, if I will find it on sale otherwise no.

Afrodita's grape seed oil hand cream

Hello,

I recently bought Afrodita's set of nail polish remover and hand cream. I started using the cream and I have some mixed feelings about it. My dad is using the olive one and he loves it (he's already on his second tube) so I kind of had high hopes for this one.
This is Afrodita Aroma anti-age hand cream with grape seed oil and vitamin C. The scent takes me back to Elementary school. I remember that one girl had this cream and whenever she took it out of her bag and opened it up the whole classroom smelled so good. We were passing it by and everyone was moisturising with it. This seriously smells so good. Did you ever picked grapes in a vineyard? When you sniff grape you can't detect it but when you are in a room with a lot of grape you can detect it. It is overwhelming and relaxing, it is definitely not the same as wine in a glass. If I could I would bath in this scent, I would make spray version and spritz it all over me and my flat. It is so good.

Afrodita Aroma anti-age hand cream with grape seed oil and vitamin C

So, I think I covered the scent part and now I will move to the texture and moisturising properties. The texture I would say is a bit silicone-y. I have to apply the tiniest amount and rub between my hands so it absorbs and I don't end up with greasy hands. If I apply too much (it is quickly too much) it just sits on top and I can't touch anything without leaving my fingertips everywhere.
So applying little by little is the right way to go with this hand cream. I have been using it for the past five days and I also noticed that when I wash my hands an hour or two after applying it it washes right off. This makes me think that it doesn't fully absorb but just sits and waits. Wait for what? To get rinsed off?
My hands are more dry compared to last week and my conclusion is that this is just not moisturising enough for me. The cream does not absorb completely and it doesn't work for me.
Will I repurchase it? The expected answer would be no, because it does not do what it supposed to do but did you noticed how much time it took me to describe the amazing scent? I won't use this as a hand cream but rather as a scented cream and I will use it instead of parfum. So maybe in the future I will repurchase it but only because of the scent.

18. NOTD

Hello,

my previous manicure was made with an old nail polish and I figure it out that they get chipped or damaged faster than newer polishes. So for this year my nail polish resolution is to buy less polishes and try to use up what I have. Yep, use up and throw away empty bottles. I can't remember when was the last time I finished a nail polish which wasn't a clear one, well this year I cleaned up two already and one will soon followed.

Catrice Greige! The new Beige

However, this one is not old. I bought it last year and forgot about it. So this is the first time wearing it a couple of months later. It is from Catrice and the name is Greige! The new Beige. In the bottle it looks more brown and a bit scary. I'm still not sure why I purchased it because the color in the bottle does not look so great to me.

Catrice Greige! The new Beige

The situation changes once it is on the nails, when it dries it looks more grey than brown and it looks so good. I feel great wearing it because it matches everything and it looks polished in a chic way. I can see it will also look great paired with a lot of other colors as an accent color on one or two nails. I just get all giddy when I start thinking how playful this color can be.
Now I'm hitting my head for not using this beauty for so long, I have a feeling I will soon have to repurchase it.

e-bay auctions are risky

Hello,

I love going through e-bay, especially auctions. Sometimes I bid on items I don't even know what they are. All I see is a BB cream for only 2 $ and I ether save it for later or bid on it. If I bid and someone else is bidding back I get frustrated and bid so at the end I win it, oh joy. Later on, the reasonable side of me hits me with the question, what the hell did I just bought? Do you ever get like that?
I have another example and the result is this item. I saw eye cream from my favorite BB cream brand and opening bid was just 1 $, of course I had to place my bid and when I pressed enter I noticed the shipping rate, it was 14,99 $. So the next three or four days I spent praying someone else will bid and save me but nope, I was the only sucker that bid and eventually won the item.

Skin 79 the Oriental Double Perfection Eye Healer Plus eye cream

So this is Skin 79 the Oriental Double Perfection Eye Healer Plus eye cream. The name is pretty mouth-full and maybe this is the reason why it is so expensive ;)
I did some research and there aren't a lot of reviews but they all say that it works and it is actually really good. I will have to see it myself, I have high hopes for it and I honestly hope it will not let me down. After a month or so I will report back to post my thoughts about it.

Wild Rose oil

Hello,

I'm back with another fantastic face oil. My skin is pretty oily and dehydrated at the same time, so this weird mixed skin type is really hard to take care of. A couple of years ago I dived into oils. I did a little research and decided that for a beginner Rose or Wild Rose oil would do.

Alverede Wildrose face oil

I picked this one from Alverde because it is a natural brand. I've read that Wild Rose oil has the ability to help penetrate ingredients into deeper levels of your skin so you should make sure that the oil you are using is non toxic and actually good for you. I like Alverde as a brand and trust their claims when it comes to how natural their products are plus the items aren't to expencive.
The first thing about this product is smart packaging. The bottle is small, 15 ml, but that makes it convenient for traveling (when you get hooked on, I bet you will want to take it with you wherever you go). The best thing is a nice dropper which makes precise application and fulfills hygene standards. After a week I started noticing big changes on my skin. The overall redness (yes, my skin is also sensitive and various shades of pink) was reduced and skin looked more plumped. I usually use night cream and then oil on top or when I don't need a lot of extra moisture (usually in the summer) I spray toner all over and while is still damp I put three to four drops of oil on top.
It smells like Rose bush and it is so pleasant to go to bed and smell this on my face, I could say that it helps me sleep. ;)   This is my third bottle and it will soon get empty. Next time when I will be close to the drugstore I will pick another bottle of it.

17. NOTD

Hello,

I'm very picky when it comes to pink nail polish, I mostly only like light shades on my nails. I have a couple of bright-Barbie pinks and I like those on my toes but I would never wear them on my hands. I'm a weirdo, I know, but at least I know what I like. This time I picked another oldie and I wish I would pick a back up when it got discontinued but now it is too late since this was available a couple of years ago.

Catrice Miss Piggy Reloaded

This is super old Catrice nail polish in the shade Miss Piggy Reloaded. It is very light pink with a barely there gold and pink shimmer, on the nails it looks delicate and feminine. I have been loving wearing it and my bottle is already half empty.

Catrice Miss Piggy Reloaded

I usually use two coats and two layers aren't completely opaque, I love the transparency and juiciness of it but since it is old and formula isn't the best anymore I used three coats to even out the layers. I don't want to waist it so probably I will wear it more often and just use it up. I prefer using them up completely than throw them away being all goopy and unusable.

Essence eye shadows

Hello,

I'm back with another eye shadow filled post, this time all of them are from Essence and I have to say that Essence is quickly becoming my favorite eye shadow brand.

This beautiful cream color is part of the ♥ nude range and the shade is called Creme Brulee. It has a sateen finish and it is beautiful as an all over the lid color. If you look closer you will notice that it has a slight peach undertone which makes my blue eyes stand out a little bit more without being too obvious.

This one belongs to the new line called The Velvets. I love the texture/pattern but the formula and the color are what makes it so fantastic. This shade is called Taupe Secret and it is slightly darker than my skin and so perfect to fake the crease. It is very subtle and jet makes such a big difference. I love the fact that it is matte.

This last one just got discontinued, actually the entire range of the Metal Glam eye shadows is gone. I was fortunate enough to pick this beauty which is called Daily Glam. On top there is glittery over spray and when I removed it it looks much better in my opinion. It is still shiny almost metallic looking and it is great as an all over the lid shade if you like the attention or I sometimes put it only on the center of the lid to capture the light.

Essence Daily Glam glittery over spray & the color underneath

On the photo above I swatched Daily Glam, the first stripe is the over spray and the second one is made with the layer that it is underneath. It is slightly less pigmented and less sparkly but it is still wet looking with a metallic finish.

Essence Creme Brulee, Taupe Secret, Daily Glam & My favorite Tauping

Here I swatched them in the same order as they are pictured above: Creme Brulee, Taupe Secret and Daily Glam. I love how they all look together and are perfect for an everyday looks, if I want I can intensify them but I'm more of a natural kind of girl. I was looking at them and thought that something is missing. Recently I have been loving smudging darker brown along my lover lash line so I decided to incorporate another Essence eye shadow, it is also from the I ♥ nude line and it is called My favorite Tauping. It is slightly darker and more neutral/cooler than Taupe secret and I have really been loving wearing it on my lover lash line.

All of these eye shadows are a real hit for me. The finishes are beautiful, colors are wearable and they compliment each other so well. I put my ArtDeco primer first and they stay put for the entire day.
I'm so happy to find such a great shadows for so cheap and I know I will wear the heck out of them.

Gilded Metallics

Hello,

yesterday I only showed you the box of my new Avon eye shadow quad because it was already dark and the colors didn't show up. So, today I had a photo session with only this palette and I tried and I think I managed to capture the real colors.

Avon eye shadow quad Gilded Metallics

This quad, Gilded Metallics has more or less khaki green and gold infused colors. I wasn't particularly sure if I will be able to pull it off because of my grey/blue eyes. I don't like to much color there, I prefer neutrals that don't clash with my eye color.

Avon eye shadow quad Gilded Metallics

The colors look slightly different swatched on my skin than they look in the pan.
The no. 1 color in the pan looks warm light yellow but the color doesn't really transfer but it is packed with small yellow gold glitter. I tried it in my inner corners but it is too yellow for me to like it. I will try to put it only on the center of my lid to add some light but it is not my favorite shade, I could do without it as well.
No.2 is warm light brown with somewhat green undertone that will be lovely as an all over the lid shade.
No. 3 is my absolute favorite. It is khaki green with gold sheen which was seen whenever I moved my arm and I think it will be stunning on the eyes, perfect all over the lid shade plus it is so special that I probably won't get tired of it anytime soon.
The last one no. 4 is chocolaty brown with sparse tiny gold glitter.. The glitter looks a bit much but it makes the color tied more to the whole palette. On the eyes it is not really visible and I'm okay with it. I like to use it as a liner on top lid and on the lover one I smudge it to make my eyes a bit bigger and smokier.

Like I said, I was scared that the palette will be too green and it won't suit me but I ended up loving it. These type of khaki green are perfect for a very soft smokey eye, I feel comfortable wearing it also during the day but the shades can be intensified and perfect also for women who likes darker eye look. I'm really happy that I took risk and got this one instead Stone Taupes or Mocha Latte (they are both neutral and have only beige/brown shades). maybe next year I will pick up these two as well but for now I have a lot of new eye shadows and not enough days to play with.

shopping

Hello,

today I thought I will just casually stroll through the drugstore, just to see what's new but I walked out with a bag. I should know better.

Batiste dry shampoo for blondes, Afrodita nail polish remover, hand cream & relaxing body oil with lavender

I used up my Batiste dry shampoo for brunettes and I decided that I will try the blonde version this time since my hair are brown but with blonde highlights, so I think I can get away with lighter version.
The next three products are all from Afrodita cosmetics. So far pretty much all of their products convinced me so I bought more. The two pink products were sold in a set and since I'm running out of my nail polish remover (it is actually also from Afrodita but it is from the olive range) I got it and I tend to go through hand creams pretty fast and this one smells amazing. The nail polish remover contains grape seed oil & lemon essential oil while the hand cream has grape seed oil and vitamin C infused formula.
The last bottle is anti-stress oil with lavender but I can smell other herbs as well. It does indeed smell very relaxing. I love adding oils to my body moisturizer to make them more hydrating and also oils don't get absorbed fast so I'm massaging my body more and that has all sorts of benefits but if I'm short on time I skip it.
I will have lots of fun trying those products out.

Avon purchase

Hello,

today I have super quick post for you. I have again been spending money on Avon products. My mom is an Avon representative so I kind of feel the need to support her through buying stuff for myself.

true color quad in the Gilded metallics & True Colors pencil Bright eyes

I got myself a couple of make-up items. One true color quad in the Gilded metallics. It contains warm gold and khaki shades.
And the pencil is from the True Color range. I'm not too excited about the pink packaging but if the colors will be nice I can go pass this. It is a double ended pencil in the shade Bright eyes. One shade is black and the other one is supposed to be light nude to brighten up the inner corners.

Avon Planet Spa Illuminating body butter Caribbean escape, dry shampoo & Supreme oils hair oil with nutri 5 complex

For a good measure I got myself another Planet Spa Illuminating body butter from the Caribbean escape range. This scent is just divine.
Then I got a brand new product for hair, it is the first Avon's dry shampoo which I will try at first occasion and report back.
The last item is hair oil from the Supreme oils range. My mom already has it and I tried it and loved it so I had to get one for myself.

Cool Down

Hello,

this year I decided to go through my make-up stash and rediscover some forgotten gems. I have to say I have a lot of nice things and I enjoy shaking up my routine and try something new or at least something I haven't wear in a while.

Essence Long lasting eye pencil in the shade Cool Down

I bought Essence Long lasting eye pencil in the shade Cool Down two years ago. As mentioned I started using it again this year and I remembered that I truly adore it. The only reason I can think of why I put it aside is the bright color. The texture is creamy and very easy to apply. I like to prep my lids with an eye shadow base even if I'm wearing only liner so it doesn't smudge. This little fella stays put on my lid the entire day. After I swatched it on the back of my hand I had to rub it really hard and it still took a couple of minutes to remove it completely. This really is long lasting formula suited even for oily lids.

If I don't feel like wearing such a bold color that day I put dark grey pencil on top and it makes it darker, almost navy blue and that makes it more wearable, less obvious.
I know I will buy some more shades from this line because the formula is fantastic, I'm thinking of getting the grey and the brown ones. I wish they would make navy blue version but if they don't I will repurchase this shade for sure.

16. NOTD

Hello,

today was the perfect day to redo my nails. I choose a rather plain base and topped it off with something sparkling.

Essence I'm the boss & Kiko Fancy top coat Purple Dahlia

As a base I used Essence I'm the boss which I mentioned in one of my previous posts that the formula has changed and the flakes dot show up anymore and also the color is slightly different so I'm focusing on it and try to wear it as much as possible. I want this polish to be gone and the reason why I don't get tired of wearing it so offten is that I pair it with different top coats.
This time I choose my only Kiko polish that I own. It was given to me by my sister because she knows me well. This is Kiko Fancy top coat in Purple Dahlia. It contains a mix of mostly hot pink/fuchsia glitter, the base is clear so the polish worn underneath is seen.

Here I'm wearing two coats. I didn't need to 'fish' for glitters because this baby is very saturated with it. I like it a lot and I would love to try more Kiko products, not just nail polishes. I hear they have great stuff but sadly there isn't a Kiko store in my country.

e-bay package

Hello,

I'm back with another little package from Korea. I almost forgot what I ordered and I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. This time I didn't received any samples which is odd but it's okay because I can't wait to start using the products I actually ordered.

SkinFood black charcoal konjac sponge,  A'pieu Ait Fit cushion refill in the shade 23, Etude House Mugwort face masks & The Face Shop Air Cotton makeup base in Mint

The first thing you probably notice is the huge packaging of the SkinFood black charcoal konjac sponge. It is recommended for oily skin which gets attacked by acne frequently so with an everyday use it should clear up the skin. I can't wait to see if it really works and I have to figure it out where I will hange it in my bathroom.

Next in the silver packaging is A'pieu Ait Fit cushion refill in the shade 23, I don't know what I was thinking because I know that my shade is lighter, 21. So, I will probably test the texture and if I will like it I will order myself another one in lighter shade. Also, the refills don't come with a sponge. I fill like a complete dummy for not knowing that.

Then we have Etude House Mugwort face masks. I still haven't tried the Royal Jelly ones from my previous order so I don't know when exactly I will take the time to really use them but I will mark it down in my calendar to remember.

And the last item is from The Face Shop and it is another primer. This is Air Cotton makeup base in Mint, so just another redness reducing one.

After I will properly tried them on I will for sure posted my opinion about all of them.

Lavender floral water

Hello,

I couldn't resist when I saw them on sale. I had to pick up the backup of the backup. Only one has the spray because you really don't need more because they are reusable.

Melvita Lavender floral water

So they are from Melvita and are called Lavender floral water. I used one already and these two are the backups, this clearly shows that I love it.
I don't use it as a regular toner on a clean face but I rather use it as a make-up fixer on top (it does not prolong the make-up it just makes it look more natural). I spray a little bit all over my face before I powder and before mascara because I don't use the waterproof or water-resistant version. It boost up the moisture level and helps foundation or bb cream blend better with my skin. Sometimes I notice that my make-up sits heavy or it looks unnatural, one quick spray and the problem goes away. Yes, it makes my skin a bit more dewy but I lightly dust setting powder on top and it is fixed, also during warmer months it is nice to cool yourself with a light sprinkle over make-up during the hot day.
I tried a couple of other toners in a spray bottle and they just didn't work as well as this particular does. The Rose one from Melvita is also nice but this one is better. I can't quite explain it but I prefer spraying my make-up with this lavender water.
I really shouldn't forget to mention that lavender is one of my favorite scents.
