NOTD

 Hello,

I am still painting my nails but my color obsession toned down. Now I usually just wear something clear or milky. Light, barely there nails are my current mood and I don't feel the itch to change that anytime soon.

Here it is Catrice more than nude nail polish in the shade Roses are Rosy. I purchased it online and it arrived without the plastic square lid that usually comes on top. I don't know what happened but I don't care. The nail polish came undamaged and that lid is just top, it has no function.

I used two coats and it gave me this milky pale off white look, in the bottle there is slight pink tone but on my nails is more cream than anything else.

It gives me polished look without trying too hard. I sometimes add clear top coat, here there is none and it is glossy and sort of clean looking.

Mine bottle is half empty but fortunately this type of shades are always popular and always in stock so when mine runs out I can get some more.

Empties

 Hello,

this is the second part of my March empties, this pack is made of smaller items but I am still glad t muve them in the recycling bin.

Let start with a Catrice Gel like top coat. It had a nice consistency and created very shiny, glossy top coat over my nail polishes. I liked this one but there are others which I find just as good as this one.

Second is Kneipp Apricot & Marula lip balm. I had high hopes for it but it felt short. The scent is sweet and nice but the texture is hard and after a few minutes (after it warms up on my lips) it gets sticky, it felt like I applied glue on my lips and I decided that it is just not worth it. Mine isn't completely finished but I don't care, I don't like it enough to finish it.

First gloss is Catrice from My Jewels, My Rules collection in the option Apricot Crush. It had light apricot base with shimmers but the color did not translate onto the lips. It had weird soapy scent. It was okay but nothing worthy of repurchasing for me.

Next is my bellowed Catrice lip gloss obsessed in Same gloss, different day shade. Pale pinky nude shade and with the most gorgeous gourmand scent. On the lips shade wasn't obvious but the feeling was exquisite and I loved that. It doesn't hold much product but it also doesn't cost much so I can see myself repurchasing it in the near future.

Pink bottle is Nyx #this is everything lip oil. It was clear lip oil with no scent and with a thin formula. If I applied too much it started dripping down my chin, if I applied regular amount then it was gone after a few minutes (from 10 to 15 min) and that resulted in me constantly reapplying it and this 8 ml bottle was soon finished. I will not be buying it again because this did nothing for hydration and my lips quickly dried up.

This mini Clarins Wonder Volume XXL mascara made clumps and I don't love that. At first it was okay but the longer I had it opened the more obvious it would get, to top that off it dropped my curl and then my lashes looked sad and straight. I had nicer mascaras or maybe more suited for my stubborn lashes, so I will not be buying big size.

Last bottle is Lancome Idole EDP. I love this scent and I have already used up one 25 ml bottle (I still have a large one left :). This is just a mini but the gorgeous fresh and sweet Rose scent lingers all day long and it just makes me happy :) Ten out of ten scent for me.

Empties

 Hello,

it is the end of the first moth and I managed to use quite a lot of products.

First is Korres Peach Blossom body lotion. I liked thin texture but the scent wasn't what I was expecting. Sweet and slightly fruity but it did not reminded me of Pears or Blossoms, still nice but a little underwhelming just like the previous scents that I have tried from Korres.

Next bottle took me a while to finish up and I am glad because it was expensive. It is Byredo Gypsy Water hair perfume. It reminded me of a fancy spa, refreshing and still warm scent. I loved putting it in my hair and going to bed to relax and sleep. I would get it again but it is pricey and it does not last long. Maybe I will get a perfume version which is probably stronger.

In the tall bottle is Ziaja Cucumber toner and I mostly used it in my spray bottle and spray it over my fresh make-up to hydrate it. I liked it for that but it was nothing too special.

Lastly there are two Biobaza deodorants, first is Winter Magic creamy deodorant with candy cane scent and second is Silky Comfort with Shea butter and Jojoba. I liked the scents but formula did not work for me. I was still sweating because these aren't antiperspirants and I am okay with it but my armpits stank. I have never had deodorants or antiperspirants that would made it worst, honestly I would rather be without than wearing these.

Bottle with pipette is my daily serum with Niacinamide from Revox. It was slightly sticky but after it absorbed it was not detectable and I was able to layer a face cream over it. I really liked it and will buy it again.

White tube is another staple of mine and it is Bioderma sensibio anti redness cream. I had this years ago and I remember this lotion being very greasy so I guess they changed it and made it easier to absorb. I like this new version better and I think I have another tube somewhere already.

Cute cat is Skin79 soothing BB cream. It was not the best for when my skin was dry and flaky because it accentuates that but otherwise I liked it a lot. The shade was a nice match and I liked to use it under my foundation. I would get it again.

Banilla co. Miss Flower & Mr. Honey propolis rejuvenating essence toner was a gift with purchase and the first thing when I opened it is the lovely scent. Very floral honey like and I noticed that it gave my skin a hydration boost, when I use up some other toners and essences I will get this one again.

Golden bottle is Alexandre J.  The Majestic Amber perfume, ambery and sweet scent, at first quite sharp. Not my favorite but nice for longevity. I was glad that I used it up but probably I will not be getting it again.

Last is Avon revitacool base coat. This one is yellow toned and unfortunately it looks like that also on my nails and yellow tone is what I try to avoid and not to add on, so I decided to throw it away since I would rather use something clear or pink toned.

Good as New

 Hello,

I new nail polish that I have been wearing for the past few weeks. I am definitely in my sheer era and this one seemed like a mix between base coat and light coverage nail varnish.

Here I have Essie nail perfector in Good as New. I was attracted to the soft pink hue even though I knew it is supposed to dry out matte.

This is three coats on my nails and I can still see my nail line through which I don't mind. Color is a mix between peach and pink, it is a bit warmer than what I anticipated.
Finish is matte and it is interesting with this color. It almost looks like no nail polish and my fingers are just long.
At the end I can say that I like this nail polish. I wish this color would be a bit more cool but this combo sort of masks my nails and I think it looks nice. Finish is also a bit odd but it works. I wear it for a few days on its own and then add clear top coat to refresh it.
Longevity is also very nice, this lasted whole week on my nails.

I can see myself repurchasing this one again, if they will ever come out with a cooler version I will be the first to jump and get it.

Empties

 Hello,

my last empties for this year and it is a handful. I always like to finish as many product as possible to start fresh in new year.

I used up another Catrice ultra last fixing spray. This one is my favorite and I fear the day they replace it with something new. So far it is the cheapest and best for me to date. It keeps my make-up in place and holds back my natural oils.

Next is Revox 5% Hyaluronic acid serum. A very nice, thicker texture for adding/bonding the moisture. I always like to keep something with Hyaluronic acid around my skin care and would get it again.

Little guy is Alverde Rose oil which I have been using for years but in the last few years I stopped using it. I used to love it since it calm down my redness but now I feel like my face don't get as red as used to so now I have not noticed as much of improvement since I don't have the same skin issues. I think I will not be buying it again because my skin just does not need it.

Big pink tube is Bloom & Blossom hand cream. In the past I had a little version and I liked it a lot so I decided to get the big one and I had this tube unopened for a few years and I wonder if it went bad. The scent in the little one was fresh citrusy, here it was a bit different. I still used it but it was quite greassy, I remember the first tube had thiner consistency

Another product from my past is this Alkmene tea tree face wash. I used to have super oily skin with a lot of acne and tea tree helped me. Now my oils are better controlled and rarely get any acne so I just used it up and probably will not be getting it again.

Bottle next to extremely large one is Subrina Moroccan treasure body wash. It has a clean and relaxing scent. It does not smell of spices but rater like see with warm air. I really like this one and I am sad that it is all used up. It was a gift and probably I will not be getting it again because this one is not the cheapest, but the scent might be worth it :) Next time I will be in the store I will check if it is perhaps on sale and maybe get it then.

And the big boy is Afrodita Hemp shampoo for hair strengthening. It had a nice refreshing scent, thicker texture and my hair afterwards were super clean but not dry like straw. I think it cleansed them of all excess oils and remaining products and it was a nice clarifying shampoo. Usually I used it for my firsh shampooing and for the second one I used something else, following with some conditioner or a mask. I would get it again.

I finally used up another bottle of perfume and it is one of my favorites, Versace Crystal Noir EDT in a cute 30 ml bottle. I love the warm and spicy scent of it and the bottle is the cutest. I still have another larger bottle of it and also a EDP which smells the same to me.

I used up Catrice Glossing Glow nail varnish with a striking pink tint to mask the yellow from my nails. I really liked this one since it not only hide the yellow tint but it also gave my nails a slight pink tint. Very nice, easy to apply and would get it agin but I can't find it. Is it discontinued?

Big round pot is Avon planet spa from their Energise Ritual line with Chinese green tea extract body butter. The butter itself was a bit thick but the relaxing and cosy scent was magical, I would get it again.

In front there is Rimmel lasting provocalips duo in Come up Roses. This includes very drying liquid lipstick on one side and nicely hydrating lip balm on the other. The color of the lid is supposed to match with the color but this shade is much darker on the lips than shown here. I did not care about the liquid lipstick part but I did used up the clear lip balm. It was very shiny and nourishing. If Rimmel will ever release it on its own I would get it in a heart beat.

On the first swatch is polka dot Apivita Pomegranate lip balm. This one is waxy and stiff but the color payoff is nice. I noticed that it is not the most hydrating balm but the emphasis is on the color. Mine is a bright pink and it was nice but I would get the dark plum one (I think it is Currant and brown in Chestnut). Again, I would not get these for nourishing properties but for the color alone, for me this is like a lipstick. I care about the color and that is it.

Next are already discontinued Mac glow play tinted balms in Sweet Treat and Floral Coral. Sweet Treat was a bit too pale on me but after around 15 min it settled and it was fine, Brighter coral one was my favorite and I liked the added brightness. When applied they were very glossy but the shine went away a little too fast for my liking and there were no moisturising properties. I still have one shade left and after that I will not be missing them.

I used up both Avon power stay liquid stains in Stay Naked (bright peach) and She's a Natural (poop kind a color :) I liked the formula on these. They applied like pigmented gloss, then it started to dry, the pigment deepened and settled but then the shine came back and it looked glossy. I really like that progression and first shade. I will probably get it again and I am also thinking about the pink shade.

Burt's Bees lip shimmer with peppermint oil in Peony option. It is swatched last and it has a very strong peppermint scent to it, pink shade and it is packed with shimmer. At first it looks nice but after 10 min it dries and I am left with dry shimmer and I don't like that. It is not actually finished but I am still throwing it away because I don't like how it looks on me and strong minty scent is also not doing it for me.

Last mini is Clarins lip comfort oil in Pitaya. It smelled very nice and it was juicy on the lips, whoever the shine did not last but it did leave a stain which was bright pink. Not my favorite color but I loved the scent and glossines. I will probably not be getting more unless they are included in some sets or free gifts with purchases.

Hopefully I will continue using up products in the next year and only buy the bare minimum so my extensive collection of items will get reduced.

You Glow Girl

 Hello,

I purchased nail polish below because I thought it was glow in the dark but for me it remain invisible at night, maybe it only work under blue light... which I don't have so I can not try it out.

Catrice glossing nail glow in the You Glow Girl. In the bottle it looks bright pink and it is supposed to cover the yellow tone in my nails.

These are my nails under a natural light and the pink part looks a bit more pink and I like that but I think it looks even more beautiful under direct sun or under artificial light which is shown below.

On the photo above my nails got more of a lavender tone to them and I find this to be very beautiful. I have been using this nail varnish exclusively for the past months and I just can't get enough of it. Unfortunately I can not find this nail polish anywhere... is it getting discontinued?

Empties

 Hello,

I have some more empties for the month of April but these were used up in the second half of April.

First is this big Ziaja Italian fig body wash. It was clear and quite liquid. The scent was sweet and fruity, reminiscent of the real ripe fig. I would get this one again.

Next is another Ziaja body wash but this one with goat milk. It was creamier than the first one but it didn't have any distinctive scent, just creamy but I count that as a good and positive sign. It felt calming and perfect for a good night sleep. I would get this one again.

If I am sticking with the body care, next item is Balea bloomy dreams body lotion. It had a lovely violet scent, calming, relaxing but also very light in intensity. My complaint is the slightly greasier texture. It was nice for massaging. I would like it more if the texture would be lighter, so I will not be buying it again.

Big pot is discontinued Avon planet spa Heavenly Hydration hair mask with Mediterranean olive oil. I remember I have used up a few of those and I have always had nice results, this time around nothing changed. My hair after using it felt soft, smoother and silkier, I am genuinely sad that I can't find it again :(

I have received this small tube of Vichy Dercos energy + stimulating shampoo for preventing hair loss. I got a few hair washes out of it but I haven't noticed any difference in hair growth but I still used it. No crazy results but also no bad experience, I have shampoos which works better for me so I will not be buying more.

The last bottle in line is L'occitane Verveine Cactus EDT full of Bergamot and Lemon notes that I am not crazy about. This bottle just like the yellow one was given to me and I used it more like a room spray. I am glad that it is gone and I am not sad for letting this bottle being recycled and out of my life.

First tube is Iliria 48h hand cream. I have used up one in the past and I loved it. Light texture but highly effective, even my boyfriend likes it so I have already purchased another one.

Next pink bottle is Nivea rose touch cleansing face mousse with organic rose water & micellar technology. My mom purchased it for herself thinking it is a rose toner, the liquidy texture fooled her but since she doesn't use face washes she gave it to me to use it up. It was nice but nothing special, I used it mostly in the morning because it didn't remove make-up but it was good for removing my natural oils. All in all it was a bit drying and not the best at removing foundation so I will not be buying it.

I have used up so many of these Neutrogena oil free face moisturizers that I have lost count. It is a lotion with. lightweight formula, it doesn't clog my pores and sits nicely under my make-up. Really nice and effective morning moisturizer.

I am new to the Skin 1004 brand and I tried their mini version of Madagascar centella cream. It is supposed to be hydrating, calming and helping with building skin barrier. I had high hopes but the texture was very light and watery, it took very long time to absorb and since I mostly used it in the evening when I was sleepy I just couldn't wait for it to absorb to continue with my routine. I could only use some oil on top since everything else would just slide right off. Unfortunately it didn't work for me and I won't be buying a bigger size.

Little purple bottle is Some by Mi retinol intense reactivating serum (retinol, retinal and bakuchiol) which was a free gift with purchase and even though it is small it took me weeks to use it up. It didn't irritate my skin and I like that :) also I love how clinical the brand feels :) I will get it again in a larger bottle to fully test results.

Essence grow'n'glow is a nail varnish with a slight red tint. It is supposed to make ma nails appear less yellow which it did but very minimal. My biggest no-no was intense chipping. This one started to ship on the third wear day and it is just too soon. I quickly used it up, mostly repairing chips but it is finished.

Second bottle is also Essence nail polish and this one is light grey with pink sparkles and it is named Miracle Stone. Very pretty in my opinion but it got a bit old and the formula just didn't perform how it should so I had to throw half full bottle away :(

Last one is Essence matt concealer in Light Ivory. This one is my staple and sometimes I change the shade (because I ether forget which one is the one, more shades work for me or I just get the one that is available at the moment of need).

Project polish

 Hello,

lately my progress of using up my nail varnishes wasn't as swift as I would like. This year I clear out 11 bottles are here are the last four. Just, by the way I purchased only two in the year of 2024 :)

Avon makes this 7 in 1 nail treatment in a milky pink shade (it is pretty sheer) but on me it chipped in a few days so I rushed myself to finish it up and I will never get it again.

Next is Essie Ballet Slipers and it looks ver similar milky pink but this one is a bit more pigmented and it didn't chip on me that fast. This one I wore with joy and I will get it again but not before I use up some more bottles.

The last two are Essence clear nail varnishes and they aren't empty by any means but they performed so poorly that I am just throwing them away. Th next day there was air under and it would peel and chip away. I couldn't keep it on my nails for even a few days so I am just throwing them away since I don't think they are worth my time.

That is the end of my gone nail polishes for this year but for sure I will continue with this use it up project next year.

Project Polish

 Hello,

I completely forgot to upload my last batch of finished polishes from last year. This year I am starting over and continue with my quest of minimising my nail varnish collection.

I keep coming back to this Essence Sweet as Candy color as it is inexpensive and light, just as I like. I went through four bottles already and have a few backups but I see that this shade is discontinued :( I like this barely there look, it just looks polished and goes with everything. I am already buying different but similar looking shades to replace this beauty.

Next is my very last Essence Soda Pop & Candy Shop nail varnish. I had many of these (I purchased them when they were on sale before they discontinue them). This one is a similar concept but even more sheer and therefore I liked it less. Mostly I was using it as a base coat. I am really glad that they are gone for good.

Rockablue is the name of the next Essence polish but it is grey not blue. Very light and I love this type of grey. I don't think I have similar shade to this one in my stash at the moment but it will be replaced with light blue... as I'm still trying to minimise my purchases and replace varnishes with what I already have.

The very last one is Essie Mademoiselle. Again, a light pink but this one is super sheer (similar to Essence Soda Pop & Candy Shop) but more expensive... at the end I was using it as a top coat to add a bit of jelly look. I have some other Essie nail polishes that I like better with similar effect.

My goal to reach 10 or less nail polishes is still in progress, at the moment I have 56 colored or textured bottles. Still much better than last year and I need to speed up a bit (less buying and more focus :).

Project Polish

 Hello,

I haven't done one of these in a while and since I declutter quite a lot of bottles I thought that now is the right time to take photo and throw them away.

First are two bottles of my bellowed Essence Sweet as Candy (I think I have two more). I simply love this milky and easy to apply nail polish. It has a slight pink tone but only if I compare it to something cream, only then I can see it. Mostly just looks like a cream milky nail varnish. Super simple but super polished looking nails that goes with everything. The formula on these is also superb, sad thing is that they no longer make them. I see that there is another similar looking nail color in their collection... I wonder how it compares to this one.

Next is pretty old Catrice Steel my Soul color which is grey, brown, taupe looking with fine golden shimmer and it dries semi matte. Very nice looking color, neutral and not striking, just what I like at the moment. It was very old and it started to show its age so I had to throw it away but if I will find something similar I will get it again.

Fun top coat from Essence and it is their Prismatic shade with the name Prisma Love with flakes to top off every 'boring' shade. I loved applying it over pastels to create frozen or broken ice effect. It was more of a barely there look ad I loved that. My bottle isn't completely empty but it got thick so I have to throw it away. I would get it again but probably not right now.

Next to it is another top coat and this one I loved even more than the previous one and I this it is more rare to come across this sand finish top coat so if I will see it somewhere I will get it immediately. it is Trend It Up nail varnish from their Urban Safari collection in the no. 030 option. I also loved to put it over lighter shades to create rough effect that I love so much. I also have a green version but I have never tried that one...

This next one used to be my favourite and I even used up one bottle of it before, but then I just kind of fell out of love. This bottle of glitter is hard to get off and that is one of the reasons why I didn't get much use out of it. It is another Essence nail polish and it is in the shade Time for Romance. Different sized pink/rose glitters create eye catching results but removing part is super annoying.

The very last one is O.P.I matte top coat, pretty self explanatory but I didn't use it that much, I personally prefer glossy nails or sand finish, matte usually isn't my vibe so my bottle dried up before I used it up completely.

That is 7 bottles gone and my box where I store them has now a little empty section that I'm not in a hurry to fill it up. I hope to finish some more up and empty my space even further before getting some new bottles.

Project Polish

 Hello,

I think this will be the last project polish post for this year and since I went through 17 bottles and my collection downsized I call this a success.

First is this gorgeous light and bright shade from Essence and it is called Eclectic Blue. It was vivid and it made me smile. I'm a sucker for this type of blue and I already have a few similar shades already so no need to hunt down this shade.

Next is also from Essence and it is named Indigo to go, dark base with blue shimmer. Super pretty and sparkly when the sun or the right light shined on it, otherwise it looked pretty modest. I love these almost black shades which hide a little secret :)

Beside blue I also love a good black with a twist. This is Misslyn Universe which dried to a sand finish witch has to be my favorite finish. This brand is no longer available here but thankfully I have a similar shade from Avon ready to be used up next.

The last in a row is another Essence, this one called Glitter Choc. A lovely dark brown which again was only noticeable in a bright light, otherwise it looked black. I absolutely adored this shade and after I will finish more bottles I will try to find a substitute. The only issue I had with this one was a massive tip wear.

Ok, all of these aren't finished but I'm giving up on them for various reasons. I will give them to my sister so maybe she will get some use out of them.

First is a lovely looking Catrice Want to be my brightsmaid? shade. I thought that it will be a milky soft color for everyday but it applies a bit streaky and uneven and after three coats it looks ok but I have other shades that look similar in tone but look so much nicer after just two coats so I decided to part with it because I don't like how sheer and uneven this one is.

Next is super old Essence Mother earth is watching you shade. Neutral with a silver frost. I recently pulled it out and decided to play with it but I'm just over it, it no longer makes me happy so I will pass it on, the formula is still really nice.

I bought this Catrice Clarity nail polish this year thinking it will replaced my lovely Misslyn Beauty Natural but this one is a tad more nude/brown and it just didn't look right in my opinion. besides the color this one also formed tip wear the very next day and I just don't want to deal with it so I will give it away.

The last one is Rimmel Sweet Retreat which I bought to use on my toes years ago but I only used it now. There is nothing wrong with it but my taste simply changed and I don't want to wear such a bright pink, that is all.

My number of nail polishes is still high but every year I manage to bring the number down and can't wait to get to a more manageable sized 'collection' of nail varnishes.

Polish empties

 Hello,

I haven't done one of these is a long time and even this post is long overdue since I finished them up a while ago. During this Summer I liked to wear barely there shades or muted blue with a spark of lavender thrown in the mix.

I'm still on the cream and blue kick so you can expect some more empty nail polish bottles in these colors.

First is this lovely bottle of L.O.V. nail polish in the shade Pure Expression. I remember when I first tried it out I complained this to be too sheer... now I don't know what I was thinking. Maybe I didn't shake it enough and the pigment settled on the bottom so I wasn't getting the right results? With me anything is possible but with each use I liked it more until it become my favorite. It is a creamy and milky color which was super easy to apply (wide brush which hugged my nail beds perfectly), the formula was smooth and fast drying. No chipping or tip wear for a week and the color was super flattering on me. It was an all and all perfect nail polish but sadly this brand is no longer available here so now I will have to find another perfect cream color to replace this beauty.

Next is super duper old Essence Nail Candy varnish in the shade Soda Pop & Candy Shop (I bought a bunch of these years ago and now I have two full bottles left). This is similar to the first one except I need three coats at least for an even application with a hint of slight pink hue. It is less pigmented and looks more natural than the first one. Mostly I used it as a base coat under other nail polishes.

One of my favorite shades to wear on my nails is Lavender and this one was that perfect shade for me. It is Avon gel finish in the shade Lavender Sky. This is one of my favorite polish ranges and it applied smooth as butter. I will miss it but I have another lavender shade to go through.

The very last one is from H&M Beauty and it is called Slate. Lovely dusty blue color for whenever I felt moody :) I personally like shades like that (give me lavender, blue or gray or any kind of mishmash of these colors and I'm happy, especially if they are on the lighter, pastel range of color). It had super flat and wide brush, a bit too big for my pinky but for the other fingers  it was great, it made application super fast.

Project Polish

 Hello,

I'm continuing with the project polish where I handpick a few nail polish bottles and rotate among them until one is finished and replace it with a 'new' one from my already large collection. This is my way of minimizing and so far I have been successful (my number went down) and I'm realizing that I don't need to have 10 slightly different shades of pink at once.

Essence discontinued these nail candies a long time ago and I was so upset that I bought a lot of them at once to stock up (most of them were for my mom, because she loved them but I bought way too many of them so I kept some of them for myself). This one is my favorite shade and is named Like Love Birds, it is pink with a slight violet hue. Not opaque but milky in two coats sometimes I did three just to even it out and I love the 'clean' and polished look of a milky nail polish. This is my last bottle of this hue but I won't miss it because there are plenty of nail polishes that look similar.

The next one is also from Essence and it is called Sweet as Candy. This one is still available just in a different bottle design. It is also milky but less pink compared to the previous one, it is almost white and I comes off as a little more obvious/noticeable. I prefer this one because two coats were always sufficient and less pink tone looked even better on me. I decided not to buy a new bottle of it immediately because I have two other similar shades but at the end I did (I was buying products online and I needed to spend a few extra € to get free shipping... so I caved in and got myself a backup). This and the next one are some of my favorites.

Next in line is Misslyn Beauty Naturale and it was a limited edition shade so I can't get my hands on it again. It was such a lovely dusty pink with a bit of nude thrown in the mix. It almost looked like nothing (it was opaque in two coats) but the shade looked pretty similar to my skin tone so whenever I wore it, it made me think at a quick glance that my fingers were extra long :) It looked good with everything and it matched my every mood. It will be missed.

The very last one is also from Essence and it was part of their advent calendar from years ago and it is also the last left. It was an ombre top coat in the shade Candy Cane Lemonade. This red sheer liquid was a nice top coat, I often put it over all the three shades mentioned above and it just made them a bit brighter and vibrant (I used one coat over all of the nails, I didn't play with the ombre effect), I also liked it over light grey hues just to get a different tone out of it. I don't think I will buy nail polish like that again but writing this review made me miss it...

This was a bunch of nail polishes which I enjoy wearing a lot lately, I was really in a light pink mode ;)

Thank you for reading and have a nice day

Project polish

 Hello,

I still have so many nail polishes and it was time to declutter some more. Two are completely finished the rest are just too thick to be manageable.

First is very old Avon nail polish in the shade Violetta Sparkle and it has a very dark purple base with golden flakes. Opaque in just two coats. I really liked it but I wasn't using it lately. I have a similar shade from Misslyn so I'm ok but something is happening with this brand in our Si stores. The last time I was there the stand was half empty... I wonder if the brand is pulling form our market.

Next is limited edition Catrice nail varnish in the shade Paralilac. Very interesting taupe shade because sometimes leans a little towards grey and sometimes it had a purple sheen... this is one out of the two that were completely finished up. Even though it was unique and quite special I don't want to wear such shades anymore.

In the middle is another super duper old Avon bottle and for this one I don't even know the name. It is not written on the bottle (probably it was mentioned on the box) so I refer to it as Lavender :) I love lavender hues and this one is just perfect, on the nails it dried a little darker but still fine with me. The last time I used it, it just didn't want to dry up so I have to part with it but thankfully I have another very similar shade also from Avon.

I bought a bunch of these Essence nail candies, especially in the shade Soda pop & Candy shop when they were discontinuing them. This one looks very sheer and only with three coats I get a slightly milky layer. I was using it as a base coat because I don't like to use three colored coats over my nails. I found another nail polish from Essence which looks almost the same but after two coats I get the desired milky look (Sweet like Candy). I still have two bottles left and I will try to finish them next year.

The last item was given to me by my sister because she wasn't using it. it is O.P.I. Lost my bikini in Molokini. Love the medium vibrant hue but the formula for me wasn't the best. The very next day I got tip wear on almost all my nails but since the color is so beautiful I used it a couple of times and then I got sick of fixing it, so at the end I will just trash it.

Project Polish

 Hello,

I believe this is my first project polish for this year... and none of the polishes that you will see here were completely finished. That happens with old products, they just go bad...

First is Catrice Luxury Lacquers in the shade Thunder from Down Under. A beautiful black with silver sparkle, I thought it would have a rough finish but surprisingly it dried pretty smooth. This one didn't want to dry completely anymore so I'm throwing it out but I have two other similar shades in my collection so I won't be too sad.

Next is lovely Essence and their Millennial Pink shade. Pretty and opaque pastel shade which surprisingly applied nicely but after finishing a little more than half the bottle it became a bit too goopey and it is now hard to use. Again I found something else in my collection that looks similar but after that other bottle is gone I'm getting this one again.

The last two are from Picture Polish brand. I won a giveaway years ago and I was able to pick three shades (the third one was picked by my sister and she has it), I picked up these two. Berry Nice and  Denim were the two shades that caught my eye. Berry Nice dries semi matte, I find the finish to be fun and slightly different from the rest of my purples but I can recreate it with a matte top coat. Denim is more unique I my stash and so far I haven't found a close enough shade. I have something that is more periwinkle and the particles are more of a shimmer than flakes... but so far it will do.

I'm actively trying to use up what I have because clearly nail polishes that I have are old and going bad, the formulas just aren't as smooth as they used to be and aren't as fun to use. This year I have only buy two nail polishes and four are out the door. In the next few days I will go through some more polishes and I might declutter some more...

Lost my Bikini in Molokini

 Hello,

I haven't done one of these in a really long time. I'm still painting my nails regularly but don't take the time for a little photo session :)

This time I was wearing bright purple and even though I love lavender there is something about this deeper hue that intrigued me and made me want to wear it more often.

It is O.P.I. Lost my Bikini in Molokini shade which was gifted to me (my sister didn't want it anymore so she decluttered it and gave it to me). I really like the shade but formula... I got tip wear the next day. I thought that was super weird since O.P.I. nail polishes are so expensive but I guess this one wasn't for me. This poor longevity irritated me so much that most probably I will declutter it as well. It is a shame because I really like the shade.

Project Polish

 Hello,

this is the very last project polish of this month and in total there are 20 bottles that I managed to ether use up or gave away. I did bought a few new ones but compared with the amount of gone nail polishes... nothing so significantly, so my numbers of nail polishes are going down respectively every year.

I finished up two more of these Essence Nail Candies, the first in a more violet tone is called Like Love Birds and lighter pink is Soda Pop & Candy Shop. I like these milky shades which are very forgiving because of their sheer aspect and I feel like I always have to have one close. I still have a couple of them left (I went crazy when they were discontinuing them and bought a whole bunch for me and my mom). I already moved fresh bottles forward and I'm already putting them in a good use so expect some more nail candies next year ;)

Next is Essence Vampire's Love LE in the shade Into the Dark. A beautiful navy with little silver shimmer which isn't very reflective. I really like the base color and the fact that the shimmer isn't so very obvious, this baby will be missed but I do have some more navy blue shades to replace this one.

The last one is another Essence from their Crystalliced collection named It's a Snow-Woman's World. Another favorite of mine. I don't quite know why I love these light grey shades but I do. This is a perfect cream still with perfect formula. Essence nail polishes in general are a hit for me (formula vise) I just have to pick the 'right' shade for me amongst the huge selection that they have, plus they are very affordable to begin with.

I'm still loving this project. Seeing all these bottles being finished up motivates me to go through more and at the same time buy less. I can clearly see how slowly I'm using up the bottles so I don't need so many. My short goal is to just continue next year and a long one is to have around 10 bottles and use all of them evenly. I'm realizing that I don't need all of the colors for my personal use to make me happy. Less is more, that is the approach that I'm going for.

It's a Snow-Woman's World.

 Hello,

I decided to show you the nail polish that I'm wearing right now. I am slightly obsessed with it, it is such a shame that it was only a limited edition color.

It is Essence TE Crystalliced nail polish in the shade It's a Snow-Woman's World.
It comes in a 8 ml bottle and it is a cream light grey color.

Even though it is pretty old it still applies nicely and dries duper fast (in the morning when I wake up it is perfect, no sheet prints).
I love this light grey, often I wear it on its own but sometimes I pair it with a lavender or a mint shade. I want to finish this bottle up this year and I have been wearing it non stop, hence all the combos.
I have some more light grey polishes in my collection which will replace this one nicely but I think I will still miss it.

November shopping

 Hello,

I did a little bit of shopping and I feel like I didn't do too much. It has been quite a long time ago since I got some new make-up and this little trip felt so good plus there are some 'necessities' that I'm running out so these will nicely replace them on time.

I am huge fan of Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation but this time I got it in a lighter shade named Porcelain Beige. Recently I had a feeling like my shade is a bit too dark so now I opted for a lighter option and I'm almost done with my bottle.

Next is another Catrice essential which is  Camouflage Cream in the shade Ivory. I have a little bit left in mine but since it is so very old I decided to just replace it with a fresh one. I love it for my uneven skin on my face and now with the mask covering my face and rubbing my skin and creating more acne...

I got myself a new lipstick and I'm super proud because I opted only for a tester and Avon recently came out with three new lipstick collections and I only got one out of all of them and even that one is a mini ;) This is Legend Cream lipstick and the shade is a lovely rose tone named Five Star.

Gloss next to it is from the new Catrice line named Powefull 5 lip balm (it looks like a gloss, it feels like a gloss, I don't know why they had to call it a lip balm?). I picked up the shade Fresh Acai Berry and can't wait to finally try it out.

On the bottom there is e.l.f. Make up mist & set fixing spray. I'm almost done with two so I decided to just get a new one that I haven't tried before even though I'm very happy with my Catrice ones.

Last are three new nail polishes and first is Catrice ICONails in a shade Get Lost In Red You Love which is a deep red and it reminds me of my first red polish from Avon Cherry Jubilee. It was dark red and oh so beautiful. I'm familiar with the Catrice lovely formula so I'm sure I will love it.

The other two are from Trend it Up Urban Safari collection. They look like they will be beautiful toppers but I will see how opaque they will be on its own. The shimmery white is 030 and olive green is 050.

Project Polish

 Hello,

I haven't done one of these in a while but I decided that these three beauties are gone. There is still some left in each but since they are so old they don't properly dry on my nails and I just end up with dents and tip wear the next day. I decided to move them out of my collection to make room for some fresh ones (yes, I did some shopping and bought exactly three new nail polishes).

The first nail polish is Catrice London's Weather Forecast and is probably the one that started my nail polish obsession. I started watching nail polish blogs and this one looked so beautiful on photos but Catrice wasn't even available back then. Eventually Catrice came to town and I was quick to buy it. It was love at first sight but seeing it now it has more of a nostalgic value. The shade is nice but a bit dull looking grey just doesn't rock my boat. I have another super similar shade from Essence that I will use next so at the end I won't even miss it.

Next are two special Moon Rock collection shades, lavender hued one is Magical Bluelight and berry one is called Moonlight Berriage. Both are opaque in two coats or really pretty as one coaters over some other polishes (great for the days when I was too lazy to remove and repaint, I would just put one coat over and be done). They are quite old and I have to admit that they don't dry anymore and therefore are unusable for me. I really liked them, the colors and the effects still excite me but they just aren't practical to use anymore so they will have to go.

The last two shades are pretty unique and I have nothing similar but for now I will focus on the ones that I still have in my rather large collection and I won't try to find something similar just jet.
