Project Polish

 Hello,

I haven't done one of these in a while and since I declutter quite a lot of bottles I thought that now is the right time to take photo and throw them away.

First are two bottles of my bellowed Essence Sweet as Candy (I think I have two more). I simply love this milky and easy to apply nail polish. It has a slight pink tone but only if I compare it to something cream, only then I can see it. Mostly just looks like a cream milky nail varnish. Super simple but super polished looking nails that goes with everything. The formula on these is also superb, sad thing is that they no longer make them. I see that there is another similar looking nail color in their collection... I wonder how it compares to this one.

Next is pretty old Catrice Steel my Soul color which is grey, brown, taupe looking with fine golden shimmer and it dries semi matte. Very nice looking color, neutral and not striking, just what I like at the moment. It was very old and it started to show its age so I had to throw it away but if I will find something similar I will get it again.

Fun top coat from Essence and it is their Prismatic shade with the name Prisma Love with flakes to top off every 'boring' shade. I loved applying it over pastels to create frozen or broken ice effect. It was more of a barely there look ad I loved that. My bottle isn't completely empty but it got thick so I have to throw it away. I would get it again but probably not right now.

Next to it is another top coat and this one I loved even more than the previous one and I this it is more rare to come across this sand finish top coat so if I will see it somewhere I will get it immediately. it is Trend It Up nail varnish from their Urban Safari collection in the no. 030 option. I also loved to put it over lighter shades to create rough effect that I love so much. I also have a green version but I have never tried that one...

This next one used to be my favourite and I even used up one bottle of it before, but then I just kind of fell out of love. This bottle of glitter is hard to get off and that is one of the reasons why I didn't get much use out of it. It is another Essence nail polish and it is in the shade Time for Romance. Different sized pink/rose glitters create eye catching results but removing part is super annoying.

The very last one is O.P.I matte top coat, pretty self explanatory but I didn't use it that much, I personally prefer glossy nails or sand finish, matte usually isn't my vibe so my bottle dried up before I used it up completely.

That is 7 bottles gone and my box where I store them has now a little empty section that I'm not in a hurry to fill it up. I hope to finish some more up and empty my space even further before getting some new bottles.

Glittery lip gloss

 Hello,

I purchased this lip gloss online and it looked like a beautiful light pink gloss with a little sparkle but when it arrived it looked way more glittery than I thought.

It is Trend it Up High Shine lip gloss in the shade 153.

Soft pink with tons of gold glitter. It comes in a 5 ml tube but it looks larger, I guess the packaging has thick walls.

The applicator is angled and carries a lot of product. The scent is also very strong and it resembles toffee, sweets I'm not too keen on.

It is a very sparkling gloss and the particles are large enough to be felt on the lips. I personally prefer less sparkle on the lips and more on the lids but some people like to have some extra shine on the lips.

The formula isn't very glossy, rather the glitter particles do the shine. There is barely any color to it and the scent is very strong. This gloss isn't one of my favorites, in fact I'm also thinking of passing it to my sister. I have a lot of glosses and there are others that I enjoy way more.

Super Glow

 Hello,

I love marbled powders, I'm sort of obsessed and when I saw this beauty in the store, I just couldn't help myself.

Trend it up Super Glow baked blush in the shade 010.

The marble design is something, that pulled me in and the soft pink shade... it looked so magical in the store but the spell only lasted until I tried it out...

On my skin it is more peach toned blush, which is a bit surprising but I do love peach cheeks on me so that isn't the issue. It is the over excessive glitter and to achieve this swatch I had to layer it on around six times with my finger over a slightly sticky base... there is no way I'm doing that on my cheeks.

Applied with a brush I only get the golden glitter and no color payoff  - that was a massive disappointment.

I could overlook the sparkle if this blush would have reasonable color payoff but it doesn't. It looks so lovely in the pan but it is just not worth it for me. I don't know anyone who would like this blush so unfortunately I will throw it in the garbage can :(

November shopping

 Hello,

I did a little bit of shopping and I feel like I didn't do too much. It has been quite a long time ago since I got some new make-up and this little trip felt so good plus there are some 'necessities' that I'm running out so these will nicely replace them on time.

I am huge fan of Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation but this time I got it in a lighter shade named Porcelain Beige. Recently I had a feeling like my shade is a bit too dark so now I opted for a lighter option and I'm almost done with my bottle.

Next is another Catrice essential which is  Camouflage Cream in the shade Ivory. I have a little bit left in mine but since it is so very old I decided to just replace it with a fresh one. I love it for my uneven skin on my face and now with the mask covering my face and rubbing my skin and creating more acne...

I got myself a new lipstick and I'm super proud because I opted only for a tester and Avon recently came out with three new lipstick collections and I only got one out of all of them and even that one is a mini ;) This is Legend Cream lipstick and the shade is a lovely rose tone named Five Star.

Gloss next to it is from the new Catrice line named Powefull 5 lip balm (it looks like a gloss, it feels like a gloss, I don't know why they had to call it a lip balm?). I picked up the shade Fresh Acai Berry and can't wait to finally try it out.

On the bottom there is e.l.f. Make up mist & set fixing spray. I'm almost done with two so I decided to just get a new one that I haven't tried before even though I'm very happy with my Catrice ones.

Last are three new nail polishes and first is Catrice ICONails in a shade Get Lost In Red You Love which is a deep red and it reminds me of my first red polish from Avon Cherry Jubilee. It was dark red and oh so beautiful. I'm familiar with the Catrice lovely formula so I'm sure I will love it.

The other two are from Trend it Up Urban Safari collection. They look like they will be beautiful toppers but I will see how opaque they will be on its own. The shimmery white is 030 and olive green is 050.

Empties

 Hello,

it is the last day of August and for me it is time to showcase my empties. I have quite a few make-up related items and I'm super happy to finally see some of them being empty and gone.

From Dusch das I have this Magnolia body wash which I had previously and really liked the Magnolia scent. It is creamy and floral and I enjoy it a lot, plus it is very inexpensive. I have another backup but I will wait a bit and use something else in between.

Next is another body was and it is from Balea and it is their Raspberry and Rose body wash. This is also my second bottle ad this scent is one of my favorites but unfortunately it was only a limited edition so I can't get my hands on it anymore. I predominately used this as my shampoo, it was able to remove all of the residue (balms, oils and all kinds of sprays that I use on my hair) and made my hair super soft and clean.

Last is Victoria's Secret Mango Temptation body spray. I purchased it a couple of years ago and back then I loved the scent now I think it is just okay. I sprayed myself and my room with it daily to be able to finish it up. The scent was nice, creamy Mango but it faded way too fast for my liking. I have another scent from them and when I will finished it up, I probably won't buy more from them. I now use perfumes instead of body sprays.

I manged to use up two Rimmel London Stay Matte lightweight, mattifying powders in Transparent. I would use one in the morning at home and the other one I would keep at work for touch ups. This powder is really nice for my oily complexion because it keeps me matte for longer plus it doesn't look all cake-y applied on top of my make-up after a couple of hours. I already unpacked two new ones and are ready to be used.

Trend it Up face contouring set in all matte 010 shade (swatches are here). First pan held contouring cool toned powder which was my favorite even though I figure it out that I don't find contouring my face an essential step and I could easily drop this habit but since I have the product... If I would get this palette again I would get it only because of this perfect for my skin tone shade. Second was a super warm bronzer that I didn't exactly love. It is gone and now I can move to the more enjoyable shades. The very last pan was filled with a slightly yellow toned powder and was meant to be used to lightly highlight the high points of your face but since it matched my skin tone completely I used it as a face powder and I was done with it pretty fast. This palette is done and gone, I feel happy to be finished but I won't repurchase it.

This Avon SuperExtend Lenghtening mascara in Brown/Black shade is still one of my favorites. Plastic wand brushes through my lashes and separates them while the little fibres adds to the length. Very nice and it can look a bit dramatic without looking like a fake lash look. At the moment I'm using the Essence mascara that I enjoy very much but this will definitely get repurchased.

The only remaining cream highlighter is this Catrice dewy finish strobe to glow highlighter in the shade Space Queen, Silver Rose (heavy swatch below). It looked amazing on me but cream products are so hard to finish up before they turn so I used it also on my chest and arms, I tried really hard to finish it up this year so now I can 'finally' use my powder highlighters.

The very last item is this amazing Avon Always on Point eye liner in the color Molten Rose. This is completely finished and I couldn't get any more for a little swatch at the end. It was supposed to be rose gold but to me it was more of a bronze shimmery shade. I loved it on its own, especially on my lover lash line or over some darker color on top of my upper lid. So fun and quick to do. At the moment I have nothing to replace it but I would like to have something similar so I just might go shopping...

Next week I will finally be on a vacation and fingers crossed the weather will stick so I will be able to suntan (I will take a lot of sun protection with me), swim and read lots of books. This years vacation will be different from last years but hopefully I will relax and have some good time despite everything that is going on.

Electric Valley blush

Hello,

this is an older product that just got lost in my folders. I do use it quite often but I failed to post this review sooner, I'm quite sad that this was only a limited edition item, I wish they would make more shades with this formula and make them permanent.

It is blush from Trend It Up Electric Valley LE. Beautiful marbled blush that completely surprised me with its color.

It has this light nude-peach base with darker and warmer brown and bright pink swirls in it. It swatches as a very light peach and that really wasn't the shade I was expecting to get.

Here it is swatched at the back of my hand and it looks pretty light, thankfully my face is a bit paler and it does show up. I think it is one of those easy blushes that I can just apply and rush out the door because it will never look too much or unblended on my face.

I also love (besides the flattering color) the finish which is slightly shiny. There are no visible shimmer particles just a lovely sheen that adds that final touch to the look. I pretty much never wear highlighter on top of it because I feel like the finish is so beautiful and it works if I wear barely there make-up or if I put more effort and do a stronger one, it always compliments my look.
This is not my first blush or cheek product from Trend It Up and it definitely won't be the last one. I don't think I was ever disappointed with any of their cheek product.

Electric Valley 010 lipstick

Hello,

this again is long overdue but since the color is so bright and happy I just had to show and talk about it.

It is from Trend It Up brand and this particular lipstick was part of their Electric Valley collection. They had a couple of shades but I ventured straight into the brightest color in the shade 010.

It is bright coral hue and I thought it would be fun for the Summer time.

Even though the tubes are not that special they have some extra touches and a loud click which ensures that it won't open in my purse. The packaging feels very well made and sturdy.

It is part of their cream formula (I'm a fan of creamier lipsticks) and I was eager to try it out. I know that it is not the best formula for bold colors but with this one it kind of works. It is not too slippery and it doesn't feather out of the lines but it also doesn't survive a meal. I usually wear it when I meet for coffee (if I drink with care it is okay or when I go shopping...). For work I definitely prefer lighter, more neutral hues that don't require so much care.
I like this formula but I think it will be better with lighter tones and the color is very fun, not something for every day but more once a week kind of affair and I think it is perfectly okay. It was very inexpensive to begin with. Next time when I will be in the store I have to check what other shades they have, especially now when they did the whole turnover.

Empties

Hello,

on this rainy day I collected all my empties. It is a colorful bunch of  awesome and some not so great products. Some of them I will definitely repurchase or I have already and some that I will never touch again.

First is Balea coconut water which smells awful, very plastic like so I hold my breath for as long as possible after using it but then it evaporates and I can't detect it anymore (thankfully this scent is discontinued but I think they now have just the non scented version and something with mint or citrus? Something refreshing maybe? I should check). I used it because the mist is so fine, it hits my face evenly and it is never too wet. I was pretty consistent and used it on top of my make up to avoid cakey and dry patches and it worked fine, so I'm definitely looking for a new one in a different scent or unscented version.

Next is what become my favorite foundation and it is Catrice HD liquid foundation in Light Beige. I love the pipette/dropper even though it is not that efficient but better than nothing. The color Light Beige is a perfect match and even though it is supposed to be matte it has some glow (no shimmer), it looks natural on the skin and the coverage is pretty high on its own but you can definitely build it up and go all out with it. I love it and I'm already using a new bottle of it.

Another favorite of mine is this Alverde aqua see algea essence. This watery essence took me by surprise. I really wasn't expecting much from it but this little baby moisturized my dehydrated skin with ease, I know you shouldn't use it on its own so I top it off with some moisturizing oil and it did wonders for my skin. This will most definitely end up again in my basket but first I have to use up some more expensive and less efficient essences and elixirs before I purchase it again.

I fell in love with the scent of this The Body Shop Vineyard peach body lotion. It really smell authentic and it is gorgeous but I have noticed that it wasn't moisturizing enough for my skin and I got some dry patches after I started using it (I can't verify that this lotion caused it but after I started using the oil that I will talk in a second my skin healed and now that I'm not using it anymore it looks like nothing happened). The scent was definitely amazing but nourishing properties weren't there.

So the magical miracle that I mentioned is this Melvita Jojoba oil. I ended up using it for so many things like removing my make-up (I started doing the triple cleanse, first is the oil to separate make-up from my face, second is some kind of gel to efficiently remove make-up off my face and third is cotton pad soaked with micellar water to make sure everything is clean). It definitely works as cleanser, then when my face was clean I would use a couple  of drops to moisturize my face, I used it on my arms where I developed some dry patches to sooth and nourish and I even used it on the ends of my hair. I definitely need more Jojoba oil in my life but first I will try to use some others up before repurchasing.

The very last item is this all in one Garnie skinactive rose 3 in 1, cream and mask. They suggest to use it in the morning and night but also as a mask if you don't mind slapping a thicker layer on. I didn't like it at all. It was not light enough, the texture reminded me of a butter so it was definitely not great for the day under make-up (at least for my oily skin), I tried it at night but after a while it absorbs and my skin didn't feel nourished but tight and not really taken care of and if I applied a thicker layer it just dried and it lay on top of my skin and did nothing. Well, probably it did something but the results were so minimal that I didn't notice them. At the end I just used it on my body and didn't worry about it.

This Trend it up Soft color butter pen lipstick in the shade 010 is so good, a perfect mix of gloss, lipstick and lip balm. I wish they would make more shades of them. I scrap everything out of the tube so there wasn't enough for the swatch but if you are curious some swatches are here. This formula is one of my favorites and I wish they would still make it.
Next are the Catrice beautifying lip smoothers in Coffee to go and Best mauve ever. I originally wanted the soft pink shade but since I couldn't find it I settled for these two. Nude one was a bit too light for me so I only wore it inside (so no one saw me) and the brighter berry one was a bit too bright and I was too scared to wear it in public in case of bleeding or going out of my lines. They had a nice formula but nothing too spectacular, if they would still be available I wouldn't get them. I didn't completely finish them because they started to smell so I decided to part with them and use something that is at least still good.

Natural Radiance II

Hello,

I'm back with another Trend it up highlighter. I like bronze shades and when I saw this highlighter I was very intrigued. It is gold but not typically yellow but rather more antique and almost bronze looking, it is still gold in its essence but more flattering on my pale skin tone than any other gold highlighters.

It is Trend it up Natural radiant highlighter in the shade 25 (no names just numbers to differentiate products).

This is the second highlighter from them and I bought it after I tried the pink toned one and since I was so impressed by the formula I had to get some more  ;)

Here I applied a heavy coat so it would show up on me and on photo but when I apply it on my cheeks it doesn't look so pigmented and it rather looks like a natural glow and it doesn't clash with my complexion or skin tone. Again it doesn't contain any shimmer or glitter particles but offers plenty of shine that looks quite natural. Just by looking at them in their pans I really wouldn't guess how awesome they are especially for the super low price, I hope they will add some more shades because I'm definitely interested  ;)

Natural Radiance I

Hello,

this brand still surprises me with it's awesome products. This time I have an amazing highlighter. I felt very brave to pick this obvious pink shade but since it was on sale I grabbed it.

It is Trend it up Natural Radiant highlighter in the color 30. It is cool toned and almost silver on the skin (I don't think this one is still around but the similar looking shade, warmer looking pink is on their shelves right now that intrigues me, I think it is shade no. 35).

I also love the print and the 3D effect even though with use it goes away and seems pointless but the little things like that warm my heart (I already have blush with the same packaging but I don't own any bronzers like that from them, there isn't many to choose from).

Here you can see that it produces plenty of shine and that it makes my skin looks frozen but since I'm pale it looks okay and not too out of this place. Pink doesn't really comes through as I was afraid and my favorite way to use it to top bronzers with it, that way I avoid looking too warm.

Here it almost looks like it has shimmer but it doesn't, it is just glow, that beautiful glow that obsessed me and made me go back to the store and get another shade  ;)   and now I'm already thinking if I should get a third one...

Powder blushes

Hello,

today I have some blushes ready for you. This past year was at least for me big for blushes. I was buying them all the time and sometimes I bought some that didn't suit me...
I have head nothing but excellent reviews about Trend it up blushes so I went with two colors.

Trend  it up makes these powder blushes in nice round packaging. I choose shades number 50 and 55.

The first one, 50, is soft, muted rose and matte. It doesn't look particularly cool or warm and as it turns out it looks nice on me (I don't look good in cool pinks). My only 'complaint' is that it is matte but that is very easy to solve, a tad of highlighter on top and I'm good to go.

The deeper, darker rose blush no. 55 has beautiful shimmer in it and with this one I love the glow that it gives. I think if they would combine the first color with the sheen of the second one I would get the obvious winner (at least for me, for my preferences that would be very close to the perfect blush).

Here is how the heavy swatches look like. I was immediately concerned that he color no. 55 would be a bit dark on me but maybe if I use light hand and blend it out...

Both tones are really pretty. Soft pink is so very versatile and the other almost looks brown toned or on me it sadly looked like a bruise even with a light hand. The sheen that it gives is phenomenal but this particular color really wasn't meant for me. I think olive skin tones could really rock it but not my pale complexion.
This turned out to be an amazing formula, they were very pigmented so I have to be a bit careful but other than that... they both lasted on me all day long (the deeper one I only wore at home, so no one had to stare at my 'intense' cheeks ;) and at least one of them didn't clash with my skin tone. The shade no. 50 is a clear winner here but formula vise they are really great. If I will spot some more nice shades (I'm thinking coral next) I just might pick some more.

Soft color butter pen

Hello,

how are you doing? I found one of my almost forgotten lipstick. Oh boy, I have too much stuff and so my low buy is really the right path to take on this year.

I almost forgot that I bought this Trend it up Soft color butter pen lipstick in the shade 010. I think they have/had five or six shades (I got it from the discontinued shelf a while ago).

This rose color was the only one that I liked but I wish that they would make more softer, lighter colors instead of discontinuing this range.
Mine has some shimmer but on the lips isn't so obvious or blinding, it more so adds shine rather than sparkles.

They claim that this product has balm like properties (check, my lips were moisturized all day long without any other lip product), pigmentation of a lipstick (check, on my swatch there are only two layers) and shine like a gloss (check, do you see the reflection? I mean, you can almost see my face staring back at you).

This butter pen is exactly what I'm looking in a lipstick. It is moisturizing with some color and plenty of shine that makes my lips look juicy (keep in mind that I'm not a fan of matte textures).
I would highly suggest these to everyone who likes creamy lip products, you might have to dig deep but I think it is totally worth it if you can find them.

Empties

Hello,

another month has come to an end I feel like the Winter is just around the corner and the New Year with its resolutions and failed attempts to reach my goals...  It's all about spinning and catching the snake by its tail. Do you feel the same? Like the time fly by and you are not in control?
Well these products did come to its finishing line and with some we had a good run..

Avon Care glycerine and, nail & cuticle cream is my favorite hand cream and a long time ago I stopped counting through how many tubes I went through. It absorbs quickly and moisturizes my hands on a long run. This version is just the regular (unscented, usually the Spring ones are scented) in their standard packaging but I just ordered a new Winter themed packaging with the Coconut scent which is amazing.

Next is another hand cream, this one is from Essence and it is their Tropical hand mousse, It smells like fresh melons and it is fun to use because of its texture. I have to be careful and use a little bit otherwise it can get very greasy very quickly.

Avon Clearskin white clay cleanser, scrub & mask is 3 in 1 product but I think that claim is a bit of a stretch. Yes, it has some particles in there but they are not strong enough to do decent job so I only used it as a face wash or sometimes I applied thin layer all over my face. In about five minutes time it did its magic. It feels cooling so I wanted to use it as fast as possible because in the cold weather I don't like to use freezing face masks but it did work. It managed to clean my pores and refresh my face. My skin did approved so maybe next year I will repurchase it.

Bio Oil is very popular and well know brand of oil and I was very tempted to try it out. When I was looking for it the store had a special discount but only if you bought two bottles, if you know me then you know I purchase a pair without trying it first. The first thing is the gorgeous scent, I could lather my entire body with it and sleep like a baby. It is comforting, the texture is oily even though I have read that is light and absorbs fast. On my face it was moisturizing but nothing too revolutionary. I will use up the other bottle but I'm not so sure I would repurchase it again. Maybe now when I'm not using it I will see if my skin will get worst but I somehow doubt it.

The very last item on the photo is old Trend it up volumizing hair powder. This berry scent is intoxicating and they should make more products with it. When I picked this one up I really though that this is a dry shampoo in a can but it is not. It does nothing for greasy hair instead it makes them extra sticky. So very sticky that it hurts. I'm used to shampoo my hair twice and if I did it in a hurry with this icky powder on the next day my hair would still be sticky. It is so hard to wash away and so not worth it for me that I rarely use it and now I just decided to toss it. Volumizing powders just aren't for me.

This time around I went through The Body Shop body butter, and it is Cocoa butter. I seriously thought that I will use more of their stuff since there is a shop near my workplace. I went in a couple of times and bough a lot of their butters, lotions and other miscellaneous stuff but apparently I'm saving them for some sort of special occasions... I really enjoyed this one, it is a bit thicker but I don't mind some extra massage and the scent was amazing. Definitely my cup of tea.

Holika Holika Clearing BB cream with the SPF of 30. I used to really like this one, it was a but dark bit mixing lighter one in made it perfect. It has quite a nice coverage and I used to wear it everyday until I found L'oreal foundation which completely replaced BB creams in my routine. I still used this one on my days off and on my neck to help everything blend together. I don't think it is still available and even if it would be I am past BB creams and now I'm just trying to use all of them up.

Maybeline 24hr Color Tatoo in the shade Creme de Rose was an impulse purchase. I already had the super famous On and On Bronze which was very bold against my pale complexion and I didn't like how it looked but it also creased within thirty or forty minutes even with a primer underneath. People were raving about the formula but for me it just wasn't working but when I got my hands on some coupons I bought two more. Creme de Rose was one of them and I'm very happy that I did buy it. This baby last on my lids all day even without a primer. The shade looks a bit mauve toned in the pot but when I blend it out it sort of melt with my skin tone. It covers the veins and makes my lids all nice and even, often I used it alone because I liked the 'bare' look. I tried to find it in the store but the biggest drugstore doesn't even carry them so I was scared that they might stop selling them but I found them in some other more obscure stores but this shade was ether sold out or already swatched so at the moment I don't have it. I think I will buy it again but in the mean time I will focus a bit more on the brown Creamy Beige which I bought at the same time.

Next is a little Avon sample in the shade Amethyst Sunset. It is so old that I don't even remember the name of the line it belonged but it was the sparkling one. If you look close you can see multicolored shimmer in there but it is very small and it didn't bother me that much, the glitter didn't travel all around my lips. On the photo it looks a bit too brown, in real life it was more mauve-purple and since the formula was glossy and shiny I could do a very light and sheer coat. It just slightly deepen my lips and add some much needed shine. I really liked it and if it would be available I would buy myself a full size immediately.

The very last item is this super old Essence 50's Girls Reloaded LE I'm a Marine Girl eye pencil (it was released seven years ago, I checked). It got a bit dry and since I have some other blue pencils which aren't as old I decided to part with it. Using something so old around my eyes really isn't something to be considered safe. I hold on for so long because of the beautiful shade. It looks dark but when the light hits it you can see the royal blue reflection.

030 Periwinkle

Hello,

I had my eye on this nail polish ever since I saw this collection online. I patiently waited for it to come into our stores and bought it immediately. It is this bright color that makes me so very happy and I'm glad that the formula is nice as well.

It is Trend it up nail varnish from their Electric Valley LE in the shade 030. It is my very first nail polish from them so I had no idea what to expect in terms of formula.

It is bright periwinkle blue which in certain light leans towards lavender. It never crosses that line but it gets close (I think that the photo with the bottle is the most realistic one).

I also love the white flakes that are dispensed in the base. They are not shiny on the Sun but gives you that underwater/vacation vibe, at least for me it does. So not only the color impresses me it is also the particles that makes it stand out.
The formula is a bit more liquid (hence the poured cuticles on my ring finger) but it lasted for quite some time. I did got tip wear the next day but that happens with pretty much every nail polish because I  use my nails to type and not the fingertips.

This 11 ml bottle will last me for a really long time but that is great since I was on a hunt for such a lovely periwinkle shade ever since I used up Essence Forget me not nail varnish two years ago. It was a long search  ;)

Trend it up shadows

Hello,

Trend It Up brand is present for a long time now and still I haven't tried a whole lot from them. The prices are similar to Essence or Catrice which are two of my favorite brands anyways. So far everything that I have tried from this German brand was great and the eye shadows I will discuss today are something I would recommend anytime.

These are the most 'basic' ones that they make (the more 'special' you can find here and here) but they still pack a punch.

Brown one is 060 and golden one is named 010. They are the most neutral and very basic looking but that is what I like so picking them was natural for me.

The 070 is a very special silver and 080 is silver/blue. Both of them are very hard to describe, when you will see the swatches you will see it too.

Dark brown with red undertone is 067 and matte mauve is 110. For these two I went really out of my comfort zone and I'm glad to report that we are getting along just fine.

Here they are in all of their glory. The first four have some shimmer, second to last is matte and the very last one has rather unique finish. The color itself is almost matte but when you apply more you can see it is metallic and it shifts red, very beautiful but unfortunately I don't pack my shadows so much because I prefer lighter, softer colors so this sheen is not seen on my eyes.

The bronze shade 060 looks warmer and more orange toned on my complexion it is not my favorite tone but it does stand out in my collection.
The other neutral 010 color is a bit more yellow that I expected, I prefer my golds to be less yellow but I still like it.

The 070 here looks more greyish brown, cool toned brown and is very unique and special.
080 pulls almost purple next to it and is also very very beautiful. I figure it out that I use these two guys the most out of them and it is all because of their interesting coloring and beautiful shimmery finish.

Mauve 067 don't swatch that well but I swear that on the eyes it is lovely (applied with a brush over a primer), I love using it all over the lid and blend it up in the crease when I don't want to wear typical brown or grey. This baby is also in a fast rotation.
The last one is 110 eye shadow which is dark with a nice warm undertone. Like I mentioned I don't pack it on like I did for the swatch and with a lighter hand it is more of a medium brown, nice to warm up the look.

They are not particularly powdery and apply nicely. For my looks they are pigmented enough and I like to use them. So far they have been a real success and I can't wait to get some more, I'm eyeing the crystal ones...

Thank you for reading and have a nice day
