Empties

 Hello,

it is the end of the first moth and I managed to use quite a lot of products.

First is Korres Peach Blossom body lotion. I liked thin texture but the scent wasn't what I was expecting. Sweet and slightly fruity but it did not reminded me of Pears or Blossoms, still nice but a little underwhelming just like the previous scents that I have tried from Korres.

Next bottle took me a while to finish up and I am glad because it was expensive. It is Byredo Gypsy Water hair perfume. It reminded me of a fancy spa, refreshing and still warm scent. I loved putting it in my hair and going to bed to relax and sleep. I would get it again but it is pricey and it does not last long. Maybe I will get a perfume version which is probably stronger.

In the tall bottle is Ziaja Cucumber toner and I mostly used it in my spray bottle and spray it over my fresh make-up to hydrate it. I liked it for that but it was nothing too special.

Lastly there are two Biobaza deodorants, first is Winter Magic creamy deodorant with candy cane scent and second is Silky Comfort with Shea butter and Jojoba. I liked the scents but formula did not work for me. I was still sweating because these aren't antiperspirants and I am okay with it but my armpits stank. I have never had deodorants or antiperspirants that would made it worst, honestly I would rather be without than wearing these.

Bottle with pipette is my daily serum with Niacinamide from Revox. It was slightly sticky but after it absorbed it was not detectable and I was able to layer a face cream over it. I really liked it and will buy it again.

White tube is another staple of mine and it is Bioderma sensibio anti redness cream. I had this years ago and I remember this lotion being very greasy so I guess they changed it and made it easier to absorb. I like this new version better and I think I have another tube somewhere already.

Cute cat is Skin79 soothing BB cream. It was not the best for when my skin was dry and flaky because it accentuates that but otherwise I liked it a lot. The shade was a nice match and I liked to use it under my foundation. I would get it again.

Banilla co. Miss Flower & Mr. Honey propolis rejuvenating essence toner was a gift with purchase and the first thing when I opened it is the lovely scent. Very floral honey like and I noticed that it gave my skin a hydration boost, when I use up some other toners and essences I will get this one again.

Golden bottle is Alexandre J.  The Majestic Amber perfume, ambery and sweet scent, at first quite sharp. Not my favorite but nice for longevity. I was glad that I used it up but probably I will not be getting it again.

Last is Avon revitacool base coat. This one is yellow toned and unfortunately it looks like that also on my nails and yellow tone is what I try to avoid and not to add on, so I decided to throw it away since I would rather use something clear or pink toned.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day

review of BB creams

 Hello,

I lined my current BB creams and I thought it would be fun too see all the different shades all together.

Here is a line of BB creams, first and last are Skin79 Soothing Angry Cat and Brightening Dark Panda, both with SPF 50 and Holika Holika Shimmering petit BB with SPF 45.
The Skin79 have purpose hidden in their names. Soothing one is for oily skin with acne and Brightening is toning down the discoloration but when it comes to the Shimmering its name is is deceiving. There is no shimmers in it.

Here I swatched them in the same order and first, which is Soothing is the best color match for me. Shimmering one is too dark (I have to use it sparingly) and last one, Brightening is very yellow and a bit pale on me. If I would wear them on its own color mismatch could be a problem but I started to wear them after moisturiser and under foundation. I sandwiched it if you wish :)
Both Skin79 BB don't work well when my skin is on the dry side since they both emphasise dry patches so I try to avoid them on those days but then I use Shimmering and it glides like a butter. It also has a thicker, more traditional BB cream feeling and it covers tremendously well.
If I could take the Holika Holika Shimmering formula and take the Skin79 Soothing shade that would suit me the most.

Empties

 Hello,

this is the second half of my empties for February.

This time around I have used up a Skin 79 BB cream. This one in the golden packaging is one of my favorites even though on the swatch (below) it looks a bit dark. It is easy to blend (like all Skin 79 BB's are) and is quite pigmented. I usually use it on vacation or for walks outside when I don't want too much make up and some extra spf.

Next is my very first bronzer which I got on sale for 1 EUR when it was discontinued approximately 10 years ago... and it is not even finished :( This Essence sun club 2 in 1 bronzing powder is in the shade Sunshine. The missing part was mostly highlighter which mixed together gave me pink glow on top of this bronzer. This one was so pretty on my face that now I am really sad that it is gone. Bronzer on its own is a tad too orange so I am throwing it away but it will be missed. Ever since I have been looking if Essence would come back with something similar but so far no luck

Skin79 BB cream and Essence Sunshine bronzer but only the remaining part without the highlighter.

My mom used to have this and I remember this being expensive so when I saw it at reasonable price I grabbed it immediately. It is Revlon 10 in 1 hair treatment. It smelled really good and it was a bit thick for the spray nozzle (towards the end I diluted it with some water to make sure most of it came out). I used it mostly on damp hair on my hair wash days and my hair were a bit smoother. I haven't noticed any big differences so probably I won't get it again but the scent was really nice.

I purchased a bunch of these Korres body lotions because the scent combos sounded so nice and before even trying them out I ended up with 5 or 6 of them. First I decided to try out Thyme & Honey option. At first I was disappointed because I hoped to be more honey like, instead it is creamy with some thyme and in the backdrop I can find a bit of honey. The lotion itself is nice but I wish it would smell more like honey.

This body wash from La Roche-Posay was gifted to me. It is their lipikar huile ap+ oil wash and the scent is somewhat green and bitter to me. Not my favorite but I power through, thankfully it was in a small tube. The oil was thin and didn't left any oily residue. I prefer the cream version used up earlier.

Lastly there is Xmas hand cream from Afrodita. It didn't have any particular scent but it was shimmery. I used most of it as a prank on my boyfriend. He always forgot that there was golden shimmer and then he would sparkle all night :) I used it too and it was really nice moisturising hand cream, I would prefer it without shimmer but we used it up nonetheless.

Empties

 Hello,

I am super late but my empties have been waiting for me. First photo is showcasing my empties in March and second is from April.

First is one of my favorite hand creams. It is Avon care coconut hydrating hand cream. Lightly scented, easily spreadable and very moisturizing. The price is also not too high and this one remains as one of my favorites and I am buying it again.

Next is Teaology matcha tea ultra firming face cream. This was a blunder since I wanted the gel version but I was in too much of a rush and I also didn't know that there is also a cream version. It is super green and if I didn't blend it all the way in I could look like shreek :) towards the end I started to really like it (the formula not the color) but I will rather get the gel version since it is moisturizing enough and I prefer the texture.

On top is my beloved Artdeco eyeshadow base. It is somewhat my skin tone and has some minor shimmer but I don't mind it since I rarely wear matte looks. This is one of the rare bases which holds my eyeshadow s in place. I already purchased a new pot and I already started using it.

Holika Holika petit moisturizing BB cream is one of my old school products. I used to wear it on its own but now I only wear BB creams on my vacation or I put them on my neck to help matching my face to the rest of my body. At the moment I am using another one of my holy grails which is Skin 79 Gold BB and that one tops this one for me. This one has a bit thinner texture and can look a bit dark on me but with a little effort I can make it work.

The very last item is Beauty of Joseon calming serum Green Tea & Panthenol with calming and moisturizing properties. Full of vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. I liked the thin formula and slight green tint but honestly I didn't noticed much of a difference in my skin. I also have two other versions and I will see if the two will be more effective but for now this green version won't be bought again.

I has been ages since I used Herbal Essences shampoos and when I saw this one I just had to have it. It is deep repair with manuka honey. The scent was divine and it did made my hair softer but using it non stop the conditioner on top also made an impact. I hoped this shampoo will be even more moisturizing but I guess I can't have it all. I haven't decided if this shampoo will be repurchased since I have a bunch of other shampoos but I loved the scent and that is also important :)

I had this Balea Flower Shower body wash before. It is super inexpensive and smells like Blackberries. For me thise Balea body washes are a hit or a miss, some scents turn out plasticky but fortunatelly this one is nice I am not picky as long as I get some bubbles and it gets me clean. Att he moment I am using a plum scented one which is also nice.

Heimish makes All clean make-up cleansing balm. This is first time using a balm to remove make-up (I think) and it is amazing. It does removes everything and it doesn't leave much residue. I always follow with second wash so it is fine if there is some product left. I was really impressed with it and I will probably buy it again. Something to mention is also a little plastic spoolie that comes with it so I never had to stick my fingers in it :)

Little tube on top is Kiehl's Creamy Eye treatment with Avocado. Me and my sister made a little purchase and they let you pick some items. My sister really likes it and she suggested to get this mini for myself. I find this formula weird. It doesn't mix with water or serums. I had to make sure my skin and fingers were dry othervise it just didn't want to move around but when I figure this out it was nice but it started to bug me so much that at the end I just used it up and I won't be buying it.

Next is hand cream from Iliria, their famous 48h protecting hand cream. The formula is easily absorbed, it doesn't leave greassy stains and makes my hands super soft. It is neck to neck with Avon coconut one, the scent on this one is gentle and cream like (when you smell it you get the idea that you are smelling a lotion). I already purchased two of them as backups.

Another one of Catrice fixing sprays is gone. Such a big impact in a small 50 ml bottle. It can feel like hair spray on my face if I apply too much at once but it does hold my make up in place. Everytime I place an order through online skincare and fragrance store I get a few of those, probably I have now around 20 backups and I am not planing on stopping anytime soon.

The very last item is another holy grail of mine and I went through so many tubes of it already and I already have two backups ;) It is Neutrogena oil free face moisturizer. It is normal cream texture but absorbs quickly and hydrates my skin all day long. One weird fact is that I have been using it for a few years but the packaging changes so many times... it is insane, thankfully the product remains the same.

Empties

 Hello,

this time around I have a bunch of moisturisers. I'm glad that I have finished so many of them, especially since I have plenty more to go through.

First is Teaology Ginger Tea energising aqua cream, I had very high hopes for it since I love the green matcha version but this one left me a bit cold. It has a standard cream feel and texture and it is moisturising but nothing too exceptional. It is filled with hyaluronic acid, black tea, ginger and vitamin C and E but from such expensive cream I expected more, next time I will get the green matcha one, I already used up two bottles of it and I miss it.

This is the second scented body moisturiser from Avon lately. It is their Far Away Rebel body moisturiser and since I did like it I prefer the one I used previously, scent wise since the texture was the same. Quite liquid, fast to absorb and okay nourishing properties for my skin which isn't particularly dry at the moment. I would get the Far Away Splenoria again but I can pass on this one. Not bad, I just preferred the other one.

Next is my beloved Skin 79 super BB hot pink cream. This brand seriously makes the best BB creams for me and I used to use them instead of foundation but now I like to use them on more casual days or on vacation. I tried to actively use this one up since I had it for long and I already got myself another one (this time is the Gold one and honestly they are a tie for me). Thick but easy to spread and blend out, high coverage and the shade matches me pretty well.

The last ones are just some amazing hand creams. First two are Avon care Berry Fusion and Banana options. Formula wise quite similar, lightweight and easy to spread and absorb (no greasy hands) and they do the job properly, the scents are the main factor here (I still prefer the Banana one) and I already have one in use. Avon makes some of my favourite ones and I already have some in stock.

The last one is Fruidia Passion fruit hand cream and I loved this one so much that I already got myself a discovery set with a bunch of different options. It is quite lightweight, small and convenient packaging (perfect to throw it into my purse) and the scent is divine, in my opinion quite realistic. I will try other scents but for sure I will come back to this one.

Empties

Hello,

it is empties time and this time I have just a few products but most of them are repurchases and some of my favorites that I would gladly buy again.

First tube is limited edition Balea's hand cram with Pitaya and Coconut. It smelled like a fruity beach product. I kept it at work and everyone said it is very beach-y scent so everyone was borrowing it and helped me use it up. The scent really was phenomenal but the texture could get a bit too greasy if I used a bit too much.

Next is Avon's restoring moisture coconut hand cream in one of my favorite formulas (I think the original in the non scented version is no longer available :(. This had lovely barely there, natural scented coconut scent. No plastic or fake notes but rather creamy and comfy plus the formula is the best. I am using a new scent at the moment (banana) but I already have a backup of the coconut.

This one is a staple in my morning routine since I use it every morning for years now and I'm already using the new tube. It is Neutrogena face moisturizer. Very light but moisturizing, keeps my skin matte for longer and works lovely under any foundation.

I went through four or five tubes of Skin 79 V.I.P. BB cream but to change thing up I ordered this Skin 79 Oriental gold BB cream plus a while ago (now it seem like it is no longer available). The color is very close to my skin (it also adapts after 5 or 10 min), it glides over and covers quite decently and has an SPF of 30 (I still used sun lotion underneath) but it was great on my vacation. If I could get my hands on it I would buy it again but I guess I'm back to my 'normal' hot pink or V.I.P. or maybe I will try the snail one. I still have one tube of Pink one so I'm good for a while but soon I will order something new.

The very last item on the photo is this The Body Shop tea tree pore minimizer. It has sort of a pudding texture, more compact than a gel but not to thick. It has this typical tea tree scent that is so comforting for me (not so much for my pimples ;). This is the second farewell and I already have two more backups since TBS has decided to discontinue it... (insert sad face).

Lets not forget about our bodies who need extra moisture in this degrees dropping weather. I decided to use this Avon's Planet SPA fantastically firming with Colombian Coffee extract body cream. I expected to be very heavy on the coffee but I was wrong. I can't even detect coffee in it but to me it smells more like latte. Warm and comfortable cup of hot milk, it is such a lovely scent that even helped me sleep. I'm not mad that the scent didn't meet with my expectations but it even surpassed them. I would grabbed it in a heartbeat if it would still be available.

Empties

Hello,

I'm back with another quick post or at least I hope it will be short and sweet.
It is time for some empties.

First is The Body Shop Chinese Ginseng & Rice clarifying polishing powder wash. It is essentially powder that doesn't completely dissolve so it gently rubs and polish the skin. It really feels gentle but since I was used to some harsher stuff this felt a bit light so I used it more on a regular base. All in all, I think I have learn that gentle is the way to go but this little fella seems a bit expensive so I purchased similar polish from a different brand to try it out but this powder really showed me the new ways of scrubbing.

Purple tube is already discontinued Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB with SPF 30 PA ++. This is my second used up tube of it and now I can't find it anymore. It was a smidge dark for me but high coverage, easy glide and blend with my skin was phenomenal. The high SPF which didn't break me out was a massive plus. The only downfall is that BB creams and my oily skin on the long run don't work that well, after a couple of hours I do look all greasy and after so many blotting sessions even powder couldn't help me out. After a couple of years of relying on Asian BB creams I switched completely on foundations and for now BB creams only come handy to blend my neck or on vacation.

This bottle of oil I bought on a whim. I remember seeing it on sale and I heard good reviews in general about this brand so I wanted to try at least something (even though I use up one of their face washes and it was average to me). Alpstories 100% pure Avocado Oil had a weird scent, slightly unpleasant but it went away pretty fast so it didn't bother me too much. The oil is liquid and thick at the same time, most of it I used as a make-up remover and it worked amazingly well. It managed to melt all of my make-up, next I followed with a face wash to remove 'dirty oil' and my face was clean but not dry. I thoroughly enjoyed it and after I will be done with the hazelnut oil that I'm using at the moment I will repurchase this particular oil again. I'm not sure where to get it but when I will run low I will make sure to find it out.

Second to last is this raved by everyone concealer. I for sure was amazed by it for quite a while but then something even slightly better came around. This is Catrice liquid camouflage high coverage concealer in the shade 010 Porcellain. It is a tad lighter than my skin but I found out that this slightly lighter tone helped brighten up my under eye area even better and I wasn't using it anywhere else. High coverage and creamy/liquid formula are what won everyone's hearts. I loved it a lot but then I got a hold of the Essence liquid concealer (healthy glow version is the best, compared to the Catrice one it creases even less and with the Catrice one you can barely even notice the creasing). I would buy any of the two but if I can choose than my vote goes to the Essence one.

The very last item is this another amazing product and it is Avon true color SuperShock volume mascara in black. My sister only wears this one so don't even think on discontinuing it Avon. I love the big brush with rubber spikes that combs through every single lash. It elongates them and makes them look super natural (no clumping). Of course you can add more layers to add volume to every single lash but it will never look fake or too done.On me it pretty much always looks like I'm not even wearing mascara in a good way. My eyes are still the center point without looking too unnatural. I have already repurchase it but now Avon came out with another similar looking mascara...

Empties

Hello,

my life has caught up with me and I haven't find any time to blog. I hope that now things will slow down and I will get back to reviewing and posting since I still enjoy it a lot.
This time my empties pile is a bit smaller but it feels so good to throw empty packaging away  ;)

First is one of my favorite shampoos ever. It is Avon naturals vitamin complex shampoo and conditioner with basil and lotus flower. It had lovely scent but also the formula made my hair clean, soft and silky. Something that it is hard to find, there are clarifying shampoos and then there are moisturizing ones but rarely you can find these qualities together. I  think this was my third and also the last bottle of it since Avon don't sell it anymore.

Another bottle of lotion is out the door and this time it is The Body Shop's Frosted Plum from 2017 holiday collection. I liked the cozy and warm scent but when I was rubbing it onto my skin it started to smell just slightly plastic-y. Not so much that it would bother me but enough to notice it. I'm glad that I didn't pick any backups of this scent. This past year though I got another LE scent and I can't wait to start using it.

Skin 79 Hot Pink BB cream is one of my favorite BB creams ever. This brand Skin 79 make amazing ones and for me this one and the V.I.P. Gold are the best. My tube was quite old so I used it on my neck but I have backup which will get in use in the Summer time especially on the vacation.

REN is an expensive brand which products promise miracles. I had high expectations for this product but it did disappoint me. The texture is somewhat thick but it absorb fast (I would apply more than necessary because it absorbed so fast and it left my skin feel almost dry) the next morning my skin didn't look amazing as the name suggest: wake wonderful night time facial but it was dry and dull. Something in this formula just didn't work for me. I didn't want to just toss it so I top it off with some oil and that is how I managed to use up the entire tube. Needless to say that I won't repurchase it again ;)

The very last item is only half used up and it is Avon nail experts nail illuminator nail base. It looks slightly blue toned but on the nails it is clear. While it does make my nails appear whiter I just don't wear clear polish on its own so it is pointless. I wore it as a base coat for my colorful polishes but that didn't work ether. The next day or within the same one if I washed my hand a lot the polish would peel of. That is great if you wear some glitters and want it gone the next day but otherwise it is pointless so I would rather use base coats that keep my polish on for longer.

Hello,

cold weather and some snow announce true Winter. I don't like this season but since I'm an optimist I do anything to make me feel better. I light up my fireplace, warm up some hot chocolate, bundle up on couch with some books... I would do pretty much anything until reality strikes me and I have to embrace the cold and go to work  ;)

I think that the name of the brand is Roberts and it is their Rose water/toner. Mine is just a sample bottle that I received when I bought the full size (I gave it to my mom and she loves it). I feel in love with it after first use, it is rose scented which is already a big plus for me but it also feels moisturizing and a great companion for my make-up. I pour it in a spray bottle and use it over my make-up and it just makes it better. It is quite hard to explain but I can see a difference to the better. My skin afterwards isn't to dewy just hydrated and healthy looking. Now I'm using something else but I'm buying the big bottle next (one for me and one for my mom).

Dusch das is a very cheap brand that makes body washes. I remember a couple of years when I went on a vacation with my parents and we completely forgot to take a body wash with us so we found this one in a local market and the Magnolia scent charmed me. It is nothing too special but this scent take me places, I probably won't buy other scents but this one for sure I will.

Green Pharmacy products were on my list for a long time so when I was running low on micellar water I purchase this tall bottle. It is gentle on my skin but unfortunately also on make-up. I wash my face with face wash and as a last step I soak cotton pad with some micellar water to remove any bits of foundation or eyeshadow left but this one just couldn't handle it. I won't be buying it again.

Biotherm recovery face gel intense hydration prolong your tan gel was something I purchased at the beginning of this Summer. For its claims to prolong your tan you have to have some tan to begin with ;)   I used it as a night time moisturizer and it didn't disappoint. It feels like an ordinary aloe gel but way more hydrating. I didn't even need to top it off with oil or heavier cream, this lightweight gel was completely enough. It is a stellar product but the packaging has its flaws. On the photo you can't see but the straw doesn't reach all the way till the bottom so I was not able to get the last bits of product out (it was expensive so I would really like to dig everything out), I thought of taking scissors or knife but knowing how clumsy I am I would rather keep all of my fingers so I'm tossing this pretty hard plastic bottle away even though that there is still some amazing product left.

I finally decided to try the only mascara that my sister uses and she swears by. It is Avon Supershock mascara (I have used up a couple of tubes of the Supershock Max and loved it). This one is its big sister and it is gorgeous. Big brush my look scary at first but the plastic bristles combs through every lash. It can look very natural (it individualize and lengthen every single lash) with two coats it still doesn't look clumpy but a bit more dramatic (not in a false lash kind of way). I fell in love with it and I'm definitely buying it again.

The next mascara is from Catrice and it is The little black one in waterproof version. Compared to the Avon brush this one is tiny. It is very wet and if I didn't wipe it really well it made a big mess. With this one I had to take an extra step to remove the excess and slowly build it up but once it was on it looked quite dramatic and nothing could ruin it (it survived my sisters wedding day). Still, I wouldn't repurchase it but I would rather get their Lashes to Kill mascara next.

Missha perfect cover BB cream in the shade 13 was something I bought ages ago. A couple of years I was only wearing BB creams but those times has changed but I'm still left with quite a lot of Asian BB creams which I use on my neck and chest (it depend from my clothes and how deep the cuts go). This one was a bit too light but it was nice to mix in with other BB creams. This tube never really convinced me to get the more suitable shade for myself. For me the coverage wasn't impressive enough and so  I was always scratching my head whenever I have read or heard people raving about it.

Benecos Fall in love blush trio was an amazing blush that I already miss. I talked about it here you can also see how it looks like. The color was a fresh coral-pink with build in highlighter. In original post I stated that the blush and highlighting strip feels softer and the bronzer strip harder and I was right. I had a massive pan in the center and towards the coral blush part it was very thin while the brown side was still quite intact. Last week when I used it, happy with the result I accidentally dropped it and it smashed all over my floor so I had to clean it up and admit that it is gone. I know that this trio is still available and I have set a goal for myself. When I will finish two more blushes I will go and pick this baby again, I just have to stay away from purchasing novelties and use what is already in my stash.

That last bit goes for all my make-up and cosmetic, I will try to finish at least two products from the same category before purchasing a new one at least if used one wasn't the only one. I decided that I'm not going to wait till next year to make resolutions which will benefit me but I will start right now and here.

Hello,

another month has come to an end I feel like the Winter is just around the corner and the New Year with its resolutions and failed attempts to reach my goals...  It's all about spinning and catching the snake by its tail. Do you feel the same? Like the time fly by and you are not in control?
Well these products did come to its finishing line and with some we had a good run..

Avon Care glycerine and, nail & cuticle cream is my favorite hand cream and a long time ago I stopped counting through how many tubes I went through. It absorbs quickly and moisturizes my hands on a long run. This version is just the regular (unscented, usually the Spring ones are scented) in their standard packaging but I just ordered a new Winter themed packaging with the Coconut scent which is amazing.

Next is another hand cream, this one is from Essence and it is their Tropical hand mousse, It smells like fresh melons and it is fun to use because of its texture. I have to be careful and use a little bit otherwise it can get very greasy very quickly.

Avon Clearskin white clay cleanser, scrub & mask is 3 in 1 product but I think that claim is a bit of a stretch. Yes, it has some particles in there but they are not strong enough to do decent job so I only used it as a face wash or sometimes I applied thin layer all over my face. In about five minutes time it did its magic. It feels cooling so I wanted to use it as fast as possible because in the cold weather I don't like to use freezing face masks but it did work. It managed to clean my pores and refresh my face. My skin did approved so maybe next year I will repurchase it.

Bio Oil is very popular and well know brand of oil and I was very tempted to try it out. When I was looking for it the store had a special discount but only if you bought two bottles, if you know me then you know I purchase a pair without trying it first. The first thing is the gorgeous scent, I could lather my entire body with it and sleep like a baby. It is comforting, the texture is oily even though I have read that is light and absorbs fast. On my face it was moisturizing but nothing too revolutionary. I will use up the other bottle but I'm not so sure I would repurchase it again. Maybe now when I'm not using it I will see if my skin will get worst but I somehow doubt it.

The very last item on the photo is old Trend it up volumizing hair powder. This berry scent is intoxicating and they should make more products with it. When I picked this one up I really though that this is a dry shampoo in a can but it is not. It does nothing for greasy hair instead it makes them extra sticky. So very sticky that it hurts. I'm used to shampoo my hair twice and if I did it in a hurry with this icky powder on the next day my hair would still be sticky. It is so hard to wash away and so not worth it for me that I rarely use it and now I just decided to toss it. Volumizing powders just aren't for me.

This time around I went through The Body Shop body butter, and it is Cocoa butter. I seriously thought that I will use more of their stuff since there is a shop near my workplace. I went in a couple of times and bough a lot of their butters, lotions and other miscellaneous stuff but apparently I'm saving them for some sort of special occasions... I really enjoyed this one, it is a bit thicker but I don't mind some extra massage and the scent was amazing. Definitely my cup of tea.

Holika Holika Clearing BB cream with the SPF of 30. I used to really like this one, it was a but dark bit mixing lighter one in made it perfect. It has quite a nice coverage and I used to wear it everyday until I found L'oreal foundation which completely replaced BB creams in my routine. I still used this one on my days off and on my neck to help everything blend together. I don't think it is still available and even if it would be I am past BB creams and now I'm just trying to use all of them up.

Maybeline 24hr Color Tatoo in the shade Creme de Rose was an impulse purchase. I already had the super famous On and On Bronze which was very bold against my pale complexion and I didn't like how it looked but it also creased within thirty or forty minutes even with a primer underneath. People were raving about the formula but for me it just wasn't working but when I got my hands on some coupons I bought two more. Creme de Rose was one of them and I'm very happy that I did buy it. This baby last on my lids all day even without a primer. The shade looks a bit mauve toned in the pot but when I blend it out it sort of melt with my skin tone. It covers the veins and makes my lids all nice and even, often I used it alone because I liked the 'bare' look. I tried to find it in the store but the biggest drugstore doesn't even carry them so I was scared that they might stop selling them but I found them in some other more obscure stores but this shade was ether sold out or already swatched so at the moment I don't have it. I think I will buy it again but in the mean time I will focus a bit more on the brown Creamy Beige which I bought at the same time.

Next is a little Avon sample in the shade Amethyst Sunset. It is so old that I don't even remember the name of the line it belonged but it was the sparkling one. If you look close you can see multicolored shimmer in there but it is very small and it didn't bother me that much, the glitter didn't travel all around my lips. On the photo it looks a bit too brown, in real life it was more mauve-purple and since the formula was glossy and shiny I could do a very light and sheer coat. It just slightly deepen my lips and add some much needed shine. I really liked it and if it would be available I would buy myself a full size immediately.

The very last item is this super old Essence 50's Girls Reloaded LE I'm a Marine Girl eye pencil (it was released seven years ago, I checked). It got a bit dry and since I have some other blue pencils which aren't as old I decided to part with it. Using something so old around my eyes really isn't something to be considered safe. I hold on for so long because of the beautiful shade. It looks dark but when the light hits it you can see the royal blue reflection.

Empties

Hello,

a little late but never the less, my empties are here.
I feel like this time I have a good pile of awesome and some disappointing products, I feel that I usually have only good products...

First is Essence instant matt make-up fixing spray which I liked a lot. In fact this is my second bottle of it and I thought that I will repurchase this baby also in the future until the Catrice Active Warrior (LE spray) came out and I figure it out that that is even better. Since then I bought the Catrice matte fixing spray and I hope that it is just as good as the le one but this means that I will no longer repurchase this Essence one.

Avon's Little sequin Dress lotion was something I had my eyes on ever since it came out. Initially I wanted the perfume but since the lotions are easier to go though I bought myself this tube and I though that this scent will be the greatest (every time there was a scented page in the brochure I would rub my wrist and enjoy in the scent) but I was left a bit disappointed. The scent is still nice but nothing too special. It has that creamy rose scent mixed with some other flowers, it is not super sweet more so fresh. I like it a lot but it doesn't excite me as some other scent do so I won't buy anything else with this scent.

I was gifted this Afrodita cosmetics Passion fruit cream shower gel when I bought one of their sun lotions (my parents only use their sun lotions so once when they were on sale I bough a tube for them and received this as a gift with purchase). It had nice fruity scent, very invigorating and these natural looking beads (you can see them at the left bottom corner), not scrubby enough to do anything but rather annoying to clean after I was done with my shower. I would give them A+ for the scent but I would make them without extra particles.

The Body Shop Vitamin C glow protect lotion with SPF 30 wasn't as white as I expected and it did give me some glow (oily skin nightmare). I test it alongside with another sun lotion and I used each on one half of the face and went for a walk. After a couple of hours my face started to itch, the kind of itch that pimples are causing it (the nasty ones that grows under the skin and you can't do anything and are super painful) but only on the side of my face where I used this TBS vitamin C one. I have never ever used it on my face again, those acne took almost three weeks to heal and I wasn't ready to repeat it. Instead I used it on my arms where I had zero problems, it also has a nice pleasant citrus scent.

In the silver tube there is Skin 79 super plus triple functions BB cream. This brand is one of my favorites when it comes to the BB creams (I love the orange, V.I.P. gold, hot pink, oriental, I even like the green and purple even though I only tried the samples), this one was the weakest of them all. Coverage was barely there, more like a tinted moisturizer and it didn't cover anything, maybe blur and that is not what I was looking for. I ended up using it on my neck and chest to get some color (so my face covered in foundation didn't look too out of place plus I appreciated the sun protection I got from it, only 25 but still something). I definitely won't repurchase it.

Second to last is one of my favorite mascaras and it is already discontinued I think, I can't find it in the latest brochure, I hope they will come back with it. It is Avon Infinitize black mascara (I probably received this shade in a set where I couldn't choose the color, I normally go for the brown/black version).

The brush is really interesting but very easy to navigate. It has spikes also at the very tip so you can get those tiny ones in the corner as well. I never had issues applying it to my lower lash line ether. The formula was great as it is with Avon mascaras and even a little bit of rain or tears couldn't smudge it even though it is not waterproof or water resistant. I'm telling you Avon mascaras are the best, Catrice comes really close.

The very last items is Avon ultra glazewear Mullberry lip gloss. Another beloved product of mine. I love love love Avon glosses but sometimes it is hard to get the right shade (I'm very picky). This was a limited shade at first but now they have it for years so I guess it is not so very limited  ;)  It is soft pink with almost milky tendency so if you have pigmented lips this could look odd. When my lips were a tad too red I applied softer pink lipstick and then I topped it of with a gloss to avoid my natural lip color show through and it looked so lovely with my complexion.

I am thinking of repurchasing this shade but I still have 20 glosses left and a lot of them are pink. Since this shade is not going anywhere I will wait and get it someday in the future, maybe next year.

Empties

Hello,

if we are particular I'm already one day behind but since July has more days I think I'm okay. Anyways, no matter the day it is time to get rid of some empty products.

First is La Petit Marseiliais Peach and Mandarin body wash. It was more on the liquid side so I used it up pretty fast. In the past I had Lavender and Peony scents and I liked them better. This one had a bit of plastic scent thrown in the mix and it wasn't so enjoyable but sill good enough to use it up.

Alverde Mint and Berry lip balm was very average balm for me. The scent wasn't minty enough for me and moisturizing  properties were very low. The texture was light so I had to rub it a couple of times to cover my lips with it and even then I had to reapply every thirty minutes. Not worth it, I had better ones for as cheap as this one.

Avon TTA Today for him after shave conditioner was part of a set (perfume and body wash/shampoo). In the past I loved men colognes on myself and this one smelled so nice when I rubbed the scented page. When it finally arrived I was a bit disappointed since it doesn't smell so awesome on me and since I completely forgot about it. I decided to go through this lotion and massage it into my body, the tube only holds 100 ml and it was done pretty fast. I used it on my freshly shaven legs and it didn't burn so I guess it is also okay to use on the shaven faces but I'm not trying that  ;)

Next is Neutrogena visibly clear face wash. I liked the pump and the texture is perfect for it. One pump however was enough to wash my entire face but some make-up was still there so I had to use coconut oil first and then this one to completely remove my 'mask' but in the mornings it was okay to use it on its own. I liked it but I have some others that I need to go through (Himalaya Neem foaming  wash is in the current rotation and this bright green liquid removes everything without any irritations).

Skin 79 V.I.P. Gold BB cream is an oldie but such a good BB. The color is great for my complexion, it stays a bit dewy and the coverage is superb (in my opinion even better than the more popular hot pink sister). I'm trying to use all of them up before buying more since they are getting old and I don't use them as much as I used to, they have been replace by matte L'oreal foundation that I like even better but on more casual days I like to use BB creams.

Neutrogena visibly clear face cream is my staple. I don't remember if this is my third or fourth tube already. I love the light texture which absorbs into my skin fast and hydrates it very well. It leaves almost matte feeling on the skin and it is great for oilier skin types. I will buy it for as long as they will have it.

Empties

Hello,

this time around I'm having a lot of face products. I'm trying a lot of new stuff and some older ones that didn't convinced me have to go.

First and second tubes are two Holika Holika discontinued Petite BB creams. In the yellow packaging is Bouncy with nice coverage but way too dark for me so I barely used it. Second is Aqua and while the shade matches me better it has barely there coverage so I only used it on my neck to connect my face with the rest of my body.

The white tube is my second Avon Anew clinical advanced resurfacing peel with 10% glycolic acid. Inside you get 30 soaked pads which you rub over cleansed face and if you have some dry skin, acne or just sensitive skin it will lightly burn or tingle. It didn't bother me too much but I wasn't using them regularly so I can't tell if they worked for me. As I mentioned this is my second pack but I won't be spending my money on something I'm not even sure if it works for me.

The bottle on top is my beloved Afrodita great burdock hair oil. I swear that this oil is magical as it helps my hair grow faster (even my sister and mom can verify that because they both are using their own bottles of it). I talked about it here.

This lip balm was sent to me but I was so interested in it that I would probably spent my own money on it but at the end I'm glad that I didn't. This was very average balm that did very little for my dry and chapped lips but it smelled so nice, like a true Mango. It is from Essence & the lovely little things LE and was named & we kissed.

The last two tubes are both from Korean brands and are green make-up bases. First is Tony Moly Baby Doll make up mint base and second is The Face Shop air cotton green make up base. I did buy them on two different occasions and were my first make up primers and at the beginning I was excited about them but later I discovered better ones so these two were left forgotten. I know I had them for so long and that they probably already went bad so I'm tossing them before they start to reek.

Empties

Hello,

wow, this month really went by too fast. It is already the last day of Autumn and we are entering Mr. Winter tomorrow. I collected a handful amount of make-up, skin care, body care, hair care and even one nail treatment.

I will start with an Avon Clearskin blemish clearing bubble cleanser. I remember having one before in a different packaging but the concept is the same. It is liquid but when you press it down the light foam comes up which cleansed my face nicely, it wasn't too drying but I used it up way too fast. I think it lasted me only one month and I won't repurchase it again.

Next is L'oreal Micellar water which is already a repurchase. I like it a lot, it cleanses my skin and it is cheap. I received the new version of it which is now housed in a round bottle and the size is twice as big. I think it will last me for a long time and probably I will repurchase it again or maybe I will try something new.

In the green bottle is already discontinued Avon naturals Great Burdock and Nettle hair mist. It smells fresh like a forest after rain and it instantly makes my hair less frizzy and smoother, the effect doesn't last for long but it is a nice and quick 'fixer' and because it is not oil based I can use a little more and I'm not afraid of oily hair. This is my third bottle of it and I have one more backup left and after that one is gone it is gone.

In the little red tube is Yves Rocher Cranberry cooling effect face mask. I had it for a couple of years and maybe because it was a bit older I didn't noticed any cooling effect on my skin so I just used it up but I haven't noticed any difference so I won't be repurchasing again.

Now, Holika Holika Petite Essential BB cream was one of my absolute favorites and they don't make it anymore. They first replaced it with Bouncing one which was nothing like this and now they cleared all of them out and have a completely new Lolipop line. This baby was pigmented and so easy to spread, it covered my imperfections, I just had to set it well to stick it onto my face. The color was nice and fair but I sometimes mixed it with something lighter to adapt to my skin color better. I would definitely repurchase it again if it would still be around.

Under orange tube of perfection is pink Avon Anew Vitale BB cream which was a bit of a flop compared with the HH one. It was light but on my face it turned too pink after some minutes plus the coverage was so light that only people with already perfect skin could use it and be happy. I still used it up but on my neck just to connect my face with the rest of my body. I'm glad that it is gone and I have some other BB creams that disappointed me with low coverage that I can use on my neck and will replace this one.

The only one nail product is this old Avon nail experts adhesive base coat. Some time ago I added some golden nail polish to create my custom golden shimmery top coat but I didn't like it at all so I still used it as a base coat under my colored nail polishes and now I finally used it all up.

Melvita Damask Rose floral water was nice. I like the toners in spray bottles to refresh my make-up after I'm done with my cream products. I find that a little spritz of toner helps everything blend better together and absorbe into my skin so the result is more natural. Afterward I powder my skin and apply my mascara and I'm done. I find reaching for this trick more in the cooler months but even in the hot Summer sometimes a little refreshment is crucial. This particular bottle was a gift with purchase and in the past I already went through one of them already but I have to admit that I prefer the Lavender one a little better.

The very last item is the Rituals Touch of Happines ultra rich, whipped body cream. I loved the sweet orange and cedar wood scent which is so very 'me'. It was comforting and relaxing but I went through it way too fast. I don't think I would repurchase it even though this brand would be available to me. In general I adore their product but the price tags are a bit high so I usually get them as gifts from my lovely sister when she travels and brings them back to me as souvenirs.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day

Empties

Hello,

this is my empties post no. 1 because I skipped the one in the middle of the month, ups ;) tomorrow the post no. 2 will follow...

I used up my favorite antiperspirant. It is Avon on Duty women Light Blue deo which is no longer sold (I bought a couple of backups when they discontinued it and this was my last bottle). They released them again under the same name and even some of the scents have the same name (I haven't tried them out so I can say if they are exactly the same) but this version did not come back. Maybe it is under a different name but I'm not sure. I think I will buy one of the new version to see how the formula is because Light Blue really worked for me. The scent was fresh and clean, kind of like I just got out of the shower (even after a long sweaty day), because it is an antiperspirant I noticed I wasn't sweating as much and when I did the scent was fresh as a daisy. I haven't experience any bad reaction and my sensitive armpits appreciated it.

Mini pot is Avon Anew nutri-advance eye cream about which I talked here. I still agree that this thicker cream is more suitable for night as it takes a little to fully absorb but the moisture that it provides is totally worth it. I will most probably repurchase it next winter.

The bigger pot is Afrodita's face and body yogurt. I tried it on my face but it irritated my skin so I was using it from my chin down. The scent was divine, soft caramel mixed with warm vanilla, the thicker cream spread nicely and it did moisturize but you have to leave it on the body for at least 5 minutes and for me that is a bit much. I get bored while in the shower so at the end I was happy that I'm done with it and I won't be repurchasing it. I prefer moisturizers that absorb and work faster.

Next to it is the Holika Holika Clearing BB cream. One year after purchasing it I emptied this tube, in my initial review I said it has medium coverage and at the time it wasn't enough but now my skin got better and this level of coverage is now enough but I had to start mixing it with something lighter because I had a feeling that it got a bit too dark for me. I use it almost every day and it is insane for how long it lasted me and take in consideration that the price is always around 5 €, usually a little under. No need to say that I'm already using my second tube, right?

In front there is Isadora Treat & Cover concealer in a pencil form. I'm not quite sure why I felt the need to buy this expensive concealer but I expected to be spectacular but I just ended being disappointed. The shade Ivory was okay but the slightly dry formula and mediocre coverage didn't do much for me. I tried to use it on bare skin or over make-up and nothing worked, the product just sat flat and very obvious on the skin while it didn't cover much. At the end I tried layering it under much cheaper and better ones (Catrice camouflage cream) and this is how I managed to finally use it up.

Second to last is Avon Perfect Kiss lipstick in the shade Pink Wink. This is the second one from this line that I'm tossing because it went bad. The same goes with this one, the scent and color seems fine but as soon I apply it to my lips I get the feeling like I have sand in my mouth and this is a clear sign for me.

The color is super pretty, bright coral, just the way I like it but it is not worth it anymore so I'm getting rid off. I hope I will find a similar shade because right now I really want to wear colors like that.

The last item is also not completely done and it is Figs & Rouge natural lip balm in the Lemon Berry scent. The brand is natural and organic so no wonder it went bad before I used it up but this time I'm not upset at all because I didn't like it. The scent was a bit weird and plastic-y, it had some pink color but since I used it when I went to bed it didn't really matter (I usually woke up looking like a clown, thank God I live alone) and the formula was so thin that after 30-40 minutes my lips were dry and I sleep for longer than that. It didn't provide enough moisture so my lips were dry and patchy for a while. I prefer the Labello ones in the pot, they are not natural or organic but they do their job which is to moisturize and after I'm done with all of my balms in pots (I have two others form Figs & Rouge and one from The Body Shop) I'm for sure buying more from the Labello and never again from Figs & Rouge.

Tomorrow I will follow with the second part of my empties.

Empties

Hello,

I'm back with another empties post. Yesterday it was only nail polish, today I have everything else.

First bottle is Avon Advance Technique Smooth as Silk conditioner. I used up shampoo from the same line last year but conditioners always take me longer to use up. This one was nice but nothing special and I wouldn't repurchase it even if it would still be available (they kept the oil from this line which is fantastic).

Next is Melvita hand cream with somewhat rose scent. There is something else mixed in but I can't point it out, to me it smells a bit fake and the texture was way too greasy for me so I was super happy when I used it up. I even cut the tube open and now I'm happy to toss it in the bid.

Batiste dry shampoo for blondes is next. I hate the scent but it works, I'm bothered a bit by powdery hair (when I brush my hair with my fingers they are all icky powdery) but for now I will let it slide. I already repurchased it but next time I will get one of the scented versions.

In front of it is Labello Coconut lip butter. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the brand. In the past I had some of their stick lip balms and they didn't impress me but I gave them another go with this one and I'm converted. This is fantastic, it smells like a real nut and not too strong. It is on the thicker side which means that it moisturizes them for longer but it can leave lips looking white. I don't mind it because I use it only at night when I go to bed. My lips were soft and nourished. Now I'm using something else and it is not even half as good so when I'm done with my stash I'm repurchasing this little gem.

Second to last is Skin 79 Orange BB cream with SPF 50. It only comes in one shade which is very light and yellow toned with high coverage (there is almost no need to use concealer on top) and matte finish. The only negative thing is that it is a bit harder to apply, I had to tap it on with my finger and that takes time. Around six months ago I figured that I can mix it with dewier BB creams and get true perfection. Now I have some other light BB creams that I have to go through but I will repurchase it as soon as I find it on sale (it is a bit expensive).

For last I saved the only item which isn't completely empty but I used only around half. It is Avon Color Trend Kiss Kiss lip gloss in a beautiful cherry red shade but unfortunately it went bad. It had lovely sweet scent but now it stinks and I have to get rid of it. Color Trend glosses are a bit thicker, due to high pigment and are also more long lasting and jet they remain glossy. Did I mention how inexpensive they are? Right now you can get them for 2 € only. I know I will get some more shades and probably this one again but first I have to go through a couple glosses that are already in my collection before they go bad.

Petit Aqua

Hello,

I know I have been absent for a while and I can only hope I will get better, I will try. For today I prepared one of my newest BB creams. These Holika Holika Petit BB's are so inexpensive and so good, its unbelievable.

So, this is Holika Holika Petit Aqua which comes in light, grass green tube with an SPF 25.

To better show the color I swatched it alongside with two other BB creams. The first one is super popular Missha perfect cover in the lightest shade no. 13 and the last one is another Holika Holika Petit but in the Clearing version, they only come in one shade.

They are applied in the same order, Missha is first and the lightest, the coverage is not the best but it is light enough for me. Second is today's star HH Aqua which is a little dark at first and with a rather neutral undertone. The coverage is very good and it dries to an almost matte finish which is rare for Asian market. To make it work I have to mix it with something lighter and yellow toned to match me. The last swatch is made with it's sister Clearing, it is much more yellow toned, the coverage is similar, medium to high but it doesn't dry so matte.

I ended up really liking it but it is a bummer that it is not a bit more yellow toned but that still doesn't stop me from using it. I'm mixing it with something else and get a pretty close match. Now I already own three out of the five tubes from revamped Petit line and eventually I want to try all of them. For the price you really get a lot. I'm impressed.

e-bay purchase

Hello,

today I  could say another day another package. I placed my last two orders at the same time but this package arrived a little later but everything was okay, nothing was damaged.

Both of them are repurchases, the bright pink tube is Skin 79 Hot Pink BB cream which I already had before and I picked it up again because I was missing it. I noticed that they changed the packaging but I hope the product stayed the same.

The other thing is my third bottle of A'pieu NonCo Tea Tree Oil. I haven't used up my second one but I like to be prepared since the last time when I ran out of it my skin freak out and I just don't want that to happen again.

05 October 2016

e-bay package

Hello,

a little surprise waited for me at the post office today. I ordered two BB creams one month ago and they finally arrived. One is a true favorite of mine, the other one I haven't tried yet but I had to order it since they traveled from so far and they would get bored if they would be trapped in a box alone, right?

They are both Holika Holika Petit BB creams. First is Aqua with SPF 25 and is new to me, I hope it will suit my skin. The other one, in a blue packaging is Clearing with higher sun protection, SPF 30, and I have been using it non stop since I purchased the first tube and I knew I needed a backup before it runs out.

In the next days I will try to replace Clearing with the Aqua to see if it is also that good or maybe even better.

Empties

Hello,

I already posted my empties in the middle of the month, like usual and for the empties at the end of the moth I decided to split them into two posts since I accumulated way too much stuff. Today I'm showing you the first half.

First we have Lee Stafford dry shampoo in the mid brown shade. This is my favorite dry shampoo out of the ones I tried and are still available (I like the Batiste brunette and Avon AT but each has one thing about them that bothers me slightly, this pink bottle has it all). This shade blends in perfectly, it smells like hair saloon product and after the scent settles it really smells like clean hair, what I love the most and I haven't found in any other dry shampoo is when I go through my hair with my fingers I don't get that powdery residue on them. That really is important to me, with this one in my hair not only that they look clean, when I tease them, it also feels like that. So, now you would expect that I will say that I will repurchase it forever but sadly I won't unless if money starts growing on trees. This small bottle is expensive, the last time I checked it was 8-9€, to me that is too much.

Next, in the black tube is Avon Anew total body age repair moisturizer. I think this is supposed to work against cellulite, tighten the skin... I honestly haven't noticed any difference but that could also be because this is old, I can't even remember when this was available. The scent was very faint to the point that after putting on my pj I can't smell it anymore. It was nice, moisturizing but that is it. I'm happy that it is gone so now I can enjoy something else.

Cute purple tube with a kitty belongs to the Holika Holika Petit Moisture BB cream. This was one of my first Asian BB creams, it was so cheap but almost to good to be true. I reviewed it back when I just started the blog and photos aren't super helpful but everything I wrote about it is still true. A little longer review is here. So really quick, this is still sold but with a different packaging and the tube is now blue (I haven't tried the new version so I don't know if it is still exactly the same but I will order it soon). The shade is not super pale so I had to mix something lighter in it to get my shade, the coverage is buildable and you can reach really high opacity to the point where you don't need a concealer. It has a slight flowery scent but nothing too disturbing, this formula is great for dry skin type as it is dewy, I used powder and it worked fine. I have a backup tube of it and when I'm done I will order the new packaging to see if it is still the same.

Last tube is Aldo Vandini Volume lip balm. I talked about it here. I still love it how moisturizing it was and the lovely pink shine it had but mine tube exploded. Once it just cracked open at the other end where I put black metal string to keep it together. I used it for a couple more days but then I just couldn't prepare myself to use it even though there is still some left, probably enough to get me through one more month. The product was exposed to the air and started to come out and creating a mess so I'm tossing it but I will miss it. I still have a lot of balms to go through but I just might repurchase this little baby.

The last product in the middle is Skin Food charcoal jelly cleansing konjac sponge. I've heard so much good about konjac sponges, everybody raves how soft their skin feels after they use it since it slightly exfoliate your skin, everyone was claiming how clear their faces become... I was using it every single day, morning and night for two months and I haven't notice anything. I used less face wash since this foamed my gel wash better but that is it. I still have acne, nothing is cleared out because of this guy and I still need proper scrubs to get my face smooth. Would I repurchase it? No. I just don't see how could this help me.

This was part one, for tomorrow I have prepared second part with slightly more products.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day
