Empties

Hello,

it is quite late so I will try to make it short and sweet this time. I know that I like to talk about my used up products because when you empty something you really truly get a feel for a product and the opinion is really valid but still sometimes I notice that I change my mind after a second bottle or tube, I guess we are all different and sometimes an item feels nice and in some other season it just doesn't.

It is not a secret that I love anything with a Peony or Rose scent so these products really should not strike you as a surprise. This Le Petit Marseiliais Raspberry and Peony body wash is my second tube of it and even though I don't really care for body washes (I would get something cheap for washing my body and rather splurge on moisturizer) but I just can't resist this gorgeous scent. If I will find it on sale I would get it again.

Next are the Avon naturals Raspberry and Hibiscus conditioner and shampoo duo. I have used up countless bottles of this shampoo but I think this is my second or third bottle of the matching conditioner. I remember that the last time I used them up I didn't see any big difference so I wasn't so sure if I would repurchase it again but I'm happy that I did. My hair are a bit dry at the moment and this combination makes them soft, silky and so smooth plus the scent is to die for. I already have another bottle of this shampoo in my shower but I'm using different conditioner (I'm going through my stash and once I will use everything up I'm getting it again).

There is nothing wrong with these lip liners from Avon but I realized that I don't use them and that I don't want to use them. They are Avon ultra glimmerstick lip liners in Mystery Mauve, Simply Spice and Coral Desire. They are very pigmented but I don't like sharply lined lips on myself, the colors are muted and bold and that is another thing I don't like. I prefer soft lips, no harsh edges, painted in light colors so I get more of a natural look. I had them for quite a long time so I think now it is about time to get them out of my way.

The very last item is limited edition item from last year. Essence glow like you're on your dream date multi-use liquid highlighter, I mostly mixed it in with my Catrice foundation otherwise it would take me forever to finish it up. I liked that it wasn't too yellow, so the color looked natural and I could adjust the effect. More subtle glow on 'normal' days but when I wanted to amp it up I added a second layer on top of my cheekbones for that extra attention. It was a nice product but I think I will avoid cream cheek products in the future. I find powders to be easier to work with plus they don't expire so fast as cream products do.

Swatches of all Avon lip liners that I own (besides the clear one which I'm using daily and I love). First is Mystery Mauve, second is Simply Spice and third is Coral Desire. They are all very pigmented and muted in tone. These colors are nice but I just don't feel comfortable wearing them. My lips looked very matte after application and if I put creamy lipstick on top it will soon look full on matte, these liners just suck the moisture out of products and my lips. If you don't mind dry lips, like matte look and are looking for something long lasting then these are definitely for you.
They were nice for playing around and testing the trend but since it doesn't suit me I don't think I will buy and colored lip liners again.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day

Empties

Hello,

if we are particular I'm already one day behind but since July has more days I think I'm okay. Anyways, no matter the day it is time to get rid of some empty products.

First is La Petit Marseiliais Peach and Mandarin body wash. It was more on the liquid side so I used it up pretty fast. In the past I had Lavender and Peony scents and I liked them better. This one had a bit of plastic scent thrown in the mix and it wasn't so enjoyable but sill good enough to use it up.

Alverde Mint and Berry lip balm was very average balm for me. The scent wasn't minty enough for me and moisturizing  properties were very low. The texture was light so I had to rub it a couple of times to cover my lips with it and even then I had to reapply every thirty minutes. Not worth it, I had better ones for as cheap as this one.

Avon TTA Today for him after shave conditioner was part of a set (perfume and body wash/shampoo). In the past I loved men colognes on myself and this one smelled so nice when I rubbed the scented page. When it finally arrived I was a bit disappointed since it doesn't smell so awesome on me and since I completely forgot about it. I decided to go through this lotion and massage it into my body, the tube only holds 100 ml and it was done pretty fast. I used it on my freshly shaven legs and it didn't burn so I guess it is also okay to use on the shaven faces but I'm not trying that  ;)

Next is Neutrogena visibly clear face wash. I liked the pump and the texture is perfect for it. One pump however was enough to wash my entire face but some make-up was still there so I had to use coconut oil first and then this one to completely remove my 'mask' but in the mornings it was okay to use it on its own. I liked it but I have some others that I need to go through (Himalaya Neem foaming  wash is in the current rotation and this bright green liquid removes everything without any irritations).

Skin 79 V.I.P. Gold BB cream is an oldie but such a good BB. The color is great for my complexion, it stays a bit dewy and the coverage is superb (in my opinion even better than the more popular hot pink sister). I'm trying to use all of them up before buying more since they are getting old and I don't use them as much as I used to, they have been replace by matte L'oreal foundation that I like even better but on more casual days I like to use BB creams.

Neutrogena visibly clear face cream is my staple. I don't remember if this is my third or fourth tube already. I love the light texture which absorbs into my skin fast and hydrates it very well. It leaves almost matte feeling on the skin and it is great for oilier skin types. I will buy it for as long as they will have it.

Empties

Hello,

we are already hitting the middle of the month  and boy, oh boy, how time flies. I used up five full sized items and they are looking very colorful in the photo.

First is my beloved Avon SuperShock Max waterproof mascara in black. I had this one before but not in the waterproof version. I liked it a lot in the hot Summer but I feel like it dried too fast. Next year I will try some other.

Pink bottle contained my favorite dry shampoo which is Lee Stafford the Original (it comes out white). I like the scent and result but the price tag is a little too high for me at the moment but when money will start growing on trees I will repurchase it in a heart beat.

I talked about Avon Beautiful Butterfly lotion not long ago and I had nothing but good things to say about, well nothing has changed except the tube is empty. I already miss the fresh scent and I would repurchase it if it would still be available.

This is my second bottle of Le Petite Marseillais in the scent Lavender Honey. I have a pot of lavender honey in my kitchen and the scent is not that similar but it is equally enjoyable. This body wash definitely made me excited about taking shower and if I will see it on sale I might pick it up again.

The last tube is also Avon item and it is their Ultra Shiny Tubes gloss in the shade Peach Perfection. When they came out with them I purchased 6 shades and this is my third tube of it and it was one of my favorite. It had sweet scent and also taste, the color was barely there and because of that it was easy to reapply while on the go. It will be missed.
