Scorpio Coming

 Hello,

this is the second set from the brand that I have purchased recently. This variation is leaning against red territory and it has a potential.

It is Pudaier trio in the combination Scorpio Coming with lip pencil C2079-06, lipstick 1 and sharpener. They are in red tones, at first I thought that the lip liner is dark brown but I was wrong. On skin it looks a bit different than in the pencil format.

Here they are and the pencil really looks a bit more brown, especially next to the lipstick, right?

Since this is the second set I kind of knew what to expect. Pencil glides easily all over my lips, it can be manipulated and smudged but since it never sets it leaves prints on my glasses and cups. The lipstick is no better, very buttery but it doesn't set. This duo is not longlasting and it is okay to be worn for some errands were I would not be drinking or eating then it stays there but as soon as something touches my lips they are gone.

It is unfortunate that they don't last since I really like the colors. I like that the pencil leans cooler with slight berry tone and that the lipstick is a smidge lighter and more neutral. I think a lot of different skin tones could wear it and it would look nice but constant reapplying and wiping off my cups is too much of a hassle. I am thinking of passing these two to my sister but I would miss these two beautiful colors so I haven't decided yet.

Cream Cloud

 Hello,

I purchased this set because it promoted glossy lip balm and a lip liner (I wanted to try lip pencil for a long time. The last time, which was years ago I did not like it, we will see if my opinion will change).

This set is named Cream Cloud by Pudaier and it contains lip pencil in C2079-03, balm gloss in 7 and pencil sharpener.

Pencil looks pretty cool toned nude and glossy balm cool toned pink but on the skin they change into slightly warmer tones.

Here pencil looks nude, on my lips it pulls a bit more peachy nude and glossy balm is warmer pink and super pigmented. Swatch was made with only two lines but only with one swipe each, it is that pigmented.
Pencil is soft and pigmented and it holds on to that quality, the same goes for the balm.

Pencil is a little dark on me (I would prefer a more natural tone) but it makes my lips look so very different than usually. My everyday lip is never super defined, I prefer blurred lines but this was a nice change. I will play with it occasionally but I would prefer more of a gel formula which would stay put through the end of the day.

Shopping basket no. 4

 Hello,

this is the last part of my package and there are so many products. I realise that I went overboard but hopefully I will at least like these products and use them up.

In the top left corner there is another FlowerKnow eye shadow palette, this one from Midsummer Fairytales embossed five color make-up palette in the neutral Hazel Fawn option.

Underneath in a cream bottle is Etude Nymph aura volumer face primer. It is supposed to make my skin super glowy and I can't wait to try it out or bare skin and under my foundation. I hope it is not to sparkly.

Next is another and last for now FlowerKnows Midsummer Fairytales coating lip lacquer in Bluebell. It is supposed to be super glossy lip gloss and I live for glossy lips.

Going back to the top, in a yellow tube is A'pieu Honey & Milk lip oil with cute little bees. I hope this item is predominately hydrating and will heal my dry, cracked lips.

In the gradient cream to pink tube is Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint from their Lucky Lottery collection in Cooling Pink shade. I really like their glow tints and hopefully this shade will be amazing.

Below is my free gift with purchase Laka Fruity Glam Tint in the shade Caffeine Rose. I did not chose the product or the shade so deep brown would not be my first pick but I will remain openminded and I will try it out.

Big nine pan eye shadow palette is Amuse eye color palette in Peony Skin variant. Just a bunch of neutrals with some pretty looking glitters. I can't wait to dig in.

In the floral case there is Cezanne Pear Glow cheek in Beige Coral. I feel like the name really well describes this shade. It looks super pretty and the glow is charming.

Last four items are two sets from Pudaier. Each set includes lip pencil, lipstick and a sharpener, on is in the Cream Cloud (neutral tone) and second one is in Scorpio Coming version (more red).

Empties

Hello,

it is the end of another month and time to talk about my finished products. I gathered quite a lot of products today but I don't need to run to the store and buy more, I already have products ready to jump on their places and there is no need of buying more at the time.

Catrice HD liquid coverage foundation in Light Beige is a staple in my collection. Easy to spread (it is pretty liquid) the shade matches me and the coverage is buildable so it fits my skin needs, no matter if it is super blemished or getting clearer. I'm already using a new bottle.

Pflanzen kosmetik von Mueller Dog Rose oil was nice. I like to use some kind of Rose oil in my night routine because it soothes my sensitive skin and after using it regularly it tones down the redness in my skin. I also tried to use it as my make-up remover and it is not doing it, I will stick to my Jojoba oil for that.

Next are three eye creams and none of them was anything special so I won't be buying them again. First is this Balea Aqua eye roll which I had for years. It has a metal ball at the end and it felt nice to apply but the texture of the product is super thin and I didn't get much nourishing properties out of it. It feels like the product inside was only to keep the metal ball running and did nothing to my skin.

Himalaya under eye cream was an impulse purchase because I have tried some really nice Himalaya products and I had high hopes for this one. This one feels like a proper cream but after it absorbed my skin didn't felt moisturized enough, it didn't wow me.

The last one is this Revuele eye serum with vitamin C. I hoped for a lighter texture so I could use it in the morning under my make-up. It is a clear gel that absorbs fast into the skin and out of the three I liked this one the most but I will try something else next time to see if there is something better out there.

There is this big and famous pot of The Body Shop Honeymania body butter. I remember people talking about it back in the days (I believe it is discontinued now) and I ordered it online before there was even a store in my country. The scent was really lovely, more floral than honey like but still very enjoyable. I used up every last bit of it and now I move to something a bit lighter in texture for the Summer.

Next are two Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain in Romantic and Honey. Super popular but now no one talks about them. I initially bought the red one for myself and pink for my sister but after purchasing them I forgot about them so then I just decided to keep both. They were a bit minty which is a plus in my books (they could have even stronger minty feel in my opinion) and the colors were buildable. Warm red was really nice on me but I had some 'difficulties' with the pink Honey shade. On me it always turn bright pink instead of staying modest and barely there. I still use both of them quite a lot, especially because I had to keep reapplying them. Lip stains? Not on my lips, they disappear quite fast so I won't even bother checking other shades or buy some more.

The very last item is this Avon glimmerstick lip liner in Clear. I only use clear lip liner for 'sealing' my lips. When I don't take a proper care of my lips they get dry and flakey, that is when I incorporate clear lip liner. The waxy texture seals the texture so the colored lip product that I apply on top glides smoother. I find some sort of a clear liner essential in my collection but at the moment I have none and I'm just trying to find something new until the Winter.

Empties

Hello,

it is quite late so I will try to make it short and sweet this time. I know that I like to talk about my used up products because when you empty something you really truly get a feel for a product and the opinion is really valid but still sometimes I notice that I change my mind after a second bottle or tube, I guess we are all different and sometimes an item feels nice and in some other season it just doesn't.

It is not a secret that I love anything with a Peony or Rose scent so these products really should not strike you as a surprise. This Le Petit Marseiliais Raspberry and Peony body wash is my second tube of it and even though I don't really care for body washes (I would get something cheap for washing my body and rather splurge on moisturizer) but I just can't resist this gorgeous scent. If I will find it on sale I would get it again.

Next are the Avon naturals Raspberry and Hibiscus conditioner and shampoo duo. I have used up countless bottles of this shampoo but I think this is my second or third bottle of the matching conditioner. I remember that the last time I used them up I didn't see any big difference so I wasn't so sure if I would repurchase it again but I'm happy that I did. My hair are a bit dry at the moment and this combination makes them soft, silky and so smooth plus the scent is to die for. I already have another bottle of this shampoo in my shower but I'm using different conditioner (I'm going through my stash and once I will use everything up I'm getting it again).

There is nothing wrong with these lip liners from Avon but I realized that I don't use them and that I don't want to use them. They are Avon ultra glimmerstick lip liners in Mystery Mauve, Simply Spice and Coral Desire. They are very pigmented but I don't like sharply lined lips on myself, the colors are muted and bold and that is another thing I don't like. I prefer soft lips, no harsh edges, painted in light colors so I get more of a natural look. I had them for quite a long time so I think now it is about time to get them out of my way.

The very last item is limited edition item from last year. Essence glow like you're on your dream date multi-use liquid highlighter, I mostly mixed it in with my Catrice foundation otherwise it would take me forever to finish it up. I liked that it wasn't too yellow, so the color looked natural and I could adjust the effect. More subtle glow on 'normal' days but when I wanted to amp it up I added a second layer on top of my cheekbones for that extra attention. It was a nice product but I think I will avoid cream cheek products in the future. I find powders to be easier to work with plus they don't expire so fast as cream products do.

Swatches of all Avon lip liners that I own (besides the clear one which I'm using daily and I love). First is Mystery Mauve, second is Simply Spice and third is Coral Desire. They are all very pigmented and muted in tone. These colors are nice but I just don't feel comfortable wearing them. My lips looked very matte after application and if I put creamy lipstick on top it will soon look full on matte, these liners just suck the moisture out of products and my lips. If you don't mind dry lips, like matte look and are looking for something long lasting then these are definitely for you.
They were nice for playing around and testing the trend but since it doesn't suit me I don't think I will buy and colored lip liners again.

Empties

Hello,

it is time to check my 'trash' or if I say better my empty products. What I have loved and what not so much is shown below.

Avon bronzing multi stick in the shade Glowing Nude is getting pretty old. Avon suggest that you can use it on the eyes (too greasy for me and the color looks like someone punch me in the eye ;), on the cheeks (I loved it as a highlighter, I pretty much always blend the color out so much that I was only left with this amazing glow that I'm loving) or on the lips (amazing just as well, a bit of color and again this amazing shine, it remind me a bit of the old 90' style lip). I still think it is a lovely product but since it is getting old I have to get rid of it before it causes me some rash.

Next is a lovely toner from Milnica in the Rosemary version. The scent surprised me because it smells very herbal and fresh, a bit like tea tree oils do, not Rosemary like at all but it doesn't bother me. I refreshed and moisturized my skin and that is all that I should care (not to mention that the scent is something pleasant to my nose). I like it so much that I already repurchase it again. My only complaint is the big opening at the top and you can easily spill too much at once, other than that it is lovely. It does its job.

Another favorite of mine is Himalaya Neem Foaming face wash. I have used so many bottles of it and I will probably go through some more in the future. I like how it foams and thoroughly cleanses my skin. A definite repurchase.

The last item is L'oreal invisible dry shampoo in Sweet Fusion scent. I was interested in them ever since they came out with these fun looking bottles. I purchase two and this is the first one to go. The scent at first is a bit strong, powdery and floral but after some time it settles and it is not too distracting. My hair smelled so nice that on the days when I used it I didn't even use my perfume. The scents are intense so make sure you pick out the ones that you like but then again when you smell them from the bottle you can get the wrong idea, you have to spray them in your hair and let it sit for five minutes and then the 'real' scent develops. It is a bit white (don't let the 'invisible' claim fool you) but nothing a little shake can't fix it. I think these are lovely and if you can find them on sale I would highly suggest you to pick one to try it out.

The Body Shop wild Argan oil body butter was nothing but amazing. This scent was captivating and exactly what I like in a body moisturizer. Rich, creamy, a bit nutty and very warm, something you put on your clean body all over and it helps you sleep better. Very comforting and calming without any trace of lavender. Truly amazing and I would love to get more but I'm not so sure if it is still available.

For the last bit I have some lip products. I always try to use some up simply because I have so many and I'm constantly seen applying some.
First is the very last Essence Invisible Kiss transparent lip liner in Multitalent Wonder. I think this is my third one and since they don't make it anymore... but I bought some other one from Avon so I'm not left bare. I like to use clear because it suits every color and also I have noticed that the clear ones are more waxy, they smooth the lines and every lip product that I apply on top it just glides smoother and it also last longer, it doesn't affect the finish (some matte lip liners made the creamy lipstick more matte looking and I don't like that).

For Essence Cuddly Cushion lip gloss in Oily Glow I had some second thoughts. It smells lovely like honey, it is glosy but it doesn't last long (like 20 minutes and then I had to reapply), it is moisturizing but like I said constant reapplying is taking its toll. The applicator is also a bit big for my thin lips but what I was the most mad about is the amount that you get (1,5 ml, you use it maybe for a month and it is gone). I might buy some more if they will be on sale for 99 cents, otherwise never again, I would rather spent my 4 € on something else.

The very last item is Avon ultra glazewear shine burst lip gloss in the color Rose Splash. I think I purchased it shortly after I started with this blog and it was an interesting gloss. It is a bit thicker and creamier than most so it is not as shiny and juicy looking but instead it has plenty of pearl shimmer that gives that extra shine. This Rose Splash gloss was truly unique in my collection but it has time to go since the texture started to change.

Empties

Hello,

I'm a little off schedule with my empties but for that I can 'blame' my vacation. I came back yesterday and it was amazing. I spent a lot of time on the sun with tons of sun cream on so I didn't got burn, next year I'm buying Sun Dance lotions again but maybe not the same ones.

I used up two Sun Dance SPF lotions. The first is the Melon scented foam (last year I bought two of them and used up the Strawberry one in the same Summer). I liked this fresher scent better but otherwise the foam that comes out is sticky (not great for an everyday life but on the beach I don't mind greasy feeling). It was waterproof so especially great for swimming but I used it up pretty fast.
Then I started to use another SPF 30 lotion with coconut scent also a bit greasy, not so much, but this one was a thicker white cream. None of these two was my favorite, one too sticky the other was too white but my skin stayed protected and that is all that matters. Sun Dance has a large collection of sun lotions and every year they come out with some new ones so I'm sure I will find something suited for my needs next year.

To retain moisture I used this Avon naturals Apricot and Shea lotion (not the most moisturizing in the world) but the light texture and pleasant scent convinced me. I think this is my third bottle of this particular one and now it is no longer available so it is also the last one.

Dove makes great deodorants/antiperspirants for me and this one was another winner. I really like the roll-ons even though you have to wait a little longer to dry before putting clothes on. The scent on this Mineral Touch was fresh and clean, just how I want to feel and smell after a long day on the sun.

The very last one is also an oldie. It is Avon Be Serene... perfume. I remember there were three different ones in this Be... collection but I only got the 'blue' one. It smelled very fresh and a bit flowery, nothing too much, think of a fabric softener, something like that. Their original Perceive smells very similar.

L'oreal infallible 24-h matte Vanilla foundation is already repurchased. I love this high coverage, buildable and matte foundation. It is my go-to and I'm already using the new tube. My only complain would be the dark shade but to fix that I buy The Body Shop lightening drops and I adjust the shade every morning to match me perfectly.

Catrice made under TE Active Warrior this wonderful make-up freezing spray. I received one bottle as PR but I went and bought two more bottles. This one is the first one to go but I have backups to last me through this year.

Another Catrice item sent to me was this lashes to kill waterproof mascara. I already raved about it and I still love it. The brush isn't rubbery and that worried me a little at first but after I tried it it was great. It was lenghtening and volumizing, the only thing that was lacking was the curl hold other than that it was really nice and I think I will repurchase it for my sister's wedding which is just around the corner.

This is another repurchase and probably by now everyone has already discovered how great are Catrice concealers. This liquid camouflage Porcellain concealer is especially great for under eye area because it isn't so drying. I love this one around my eyes and the pot version for all over my face. While the cream one lasts very long this liquid one gets used up relatively fast, thank God it is inexpensive ;)

The very last Catrice products is Pure Brilliants Next Stop Golden Gate Bridge colour lip balm I loved the Pure Shine balms but when they were discontinuing them I couldn't find any in desired shade so I picked up this one thinking it would be similar just with shimmer. I was right the formula was similar, nourishing and glossy but the balm is packed with shimmer so I had to be careful not to end up looking like a clown, the orange tint didn't help ether. I would get the Pure Shines one in a heartbeat but the Pure Brilliants left me cold.

We are almost at the finish line with this second Essence invisible kiss transparent lip liner in Multitalent Wonder shade. It is essentially just a clear waxy liner which 'seals' the lips especially if they are dry or chapped. It runs smoothly over lines and makes lips smooth so when I would go over with a tinted lip product no one could tell that my lips weren't in their best condition. I have another backup but I already bought one from Avon which I haven't put it to the test jet.

Essence Pure Nude powder in Nude Beige was so so for me. Nothing too impressive so when I found better ones I started to use this one on my neck (I drag my foundation or BB cream down my neck and chest area, it depends from my shirt cut and because I wear my hair down I have to powder my neck as well otherwise my hair would get stuck). For that I always use powders that aren't my favorite and just use them up, that happened to this one and I'm happy to see it gone.

The Terra Naturi Ivory face powder was on the other hand a very good one. Too bad that it is gone. They repackaged the whole line and while they still have face powders they have different packaging and I don't know if they are the same. I will probably try one in the future but at the moment I think I have four or five quite full face powders that needs to be used up before I get some more.

Empties

Hello,

maybe a little late but nonetheless some empty packaging galore is in front of you.

Let's start with Balea Aqua serum which is very praised. I liked the pump system and light consistency which absorbed quickly but I don't think it was anything special. Maybe I should try it in the Winter time when my skin is dryer and use it under my regular face cream so maybe I will repurchase it again.

Next is Dove DermaSpa uplifted satin smooth body oil for improved elasticity and firmness. The scent is amazing, definitely my cup of tea. Fresh and comforting at the same time. I have been using it in combination with other body lotions but at the end I used it on its own. I noticed that it wasn't moisturizing enough so probably I won't spent my money on it again but I will miss the scent.

This big flat Ladybug bottle is Sephora's Cosy Cotton bubble bath and shower gel. I only used it to wash my body with it because I don't have a bath. The scent is another one of my favorites. The cotton flower is a nice and accurate description and so very nice. The texture was nothing special, typical body wash consistency and since we don't have Sephora here I won't get it again.

A while ago I bought two of the Eveline expert C vitamin serum - injections (it was a better deal if you purchased two and I'm a sucker like that). One bottle holds up 18 ml of product and you use the pipette to get the slightly sticky but still watery serum out of it (there is no injections involved). It smells amazing, just like real citruses and I loved putting it on in the evening. I always followed with some cream or oil and I think my hyperpigmentation faded away faster. Now I'm happy that I have another bottle which I'm sure I will use up soon.

Lush Plum Rain body wash was an impulse buy. I went there to buy some specific products but there are always some sale assistants trying to help you out and encourage you to spent more money than you anticipated. This bottle is the result of me caving in. The scent is very fresh and true to the ripe plums, I honestly love it but I know I spent more money on a body wash than normally. If they would have some massage bars in this scent I would totally get some.

Avon lavender cuticle oil is super duper old and so the writing on the bottle is also gone. It is regular oil which you place on your nails and cuticles and massage it in. I liked the lavender scent but the other day I noticed that the scent changed so I'm guessing that it went bad so I'm tossing it even though I haven't finished it up. I have the Essence Hydra nail care serum which serves me well.

Avon Foot works papaya cooling lotion has nothing cooling in it but the texture is gel like so maybe that is what they meant. I had a scrub in the same scent and I loved it, true papaya but I think I had this one a little too long. The texture become a little thicker and the scent is plasticky now. I have used it maybe three times but I will throw it into the garbage bin and try not to stock up again.

This is one of my favorite lipsticks ever and it is Avon Shine Burst Rose lipstick. For swatches check my old post here. I love glossy lipsticks which feel nourishing and glide on with ease. Anyhow I kept this baby for too long and it went bad, now it has a yuck taste but when it was new it had zero scent/taste. Now I can see that they discontinue them and I was seriously thinking of stocking up but at the end I decided not to. I have almost 30 full sized lipsticks and by the time I will use all of them up some will already go bad, it is a vicious circle and the only way to end it is to completely stop buying stuff and just use up what I have. It will be hard but maybe I can at least minimize my purchases...

The little pot is Essence Let's get it started LE lip balm which I won in a giveaway. It was clear and had a very sweet candy scent. At first I liked it but then the scent got a little too much. I still tried to use it as often as possible to finish it up. It wasn't bad I would say it was like any other regular balm. It was on the greasy side and it kept my lips soft and nourished. I know that they have a similar product in their current range but I won't be picking it up.

The very last item is Essence ultra last Rosewood High lip liner. I still don't know why I had to spent my money on it. Probably the popularity of liners lured me in but I'm just not a lip liner kind of gal. This color is a dusty pink which I don't think looks god on me anyways. The liner slides easily and leaves a lot of color behind which really grips and it is hard to remove. I personally don't like this murky color on myself so I would always tried to put a softer pink lipstick on top but the liner underneath seemed to suck any moisture out of it. I guess that makes it last longer but the feeling to me is unpleasant so I don't think I ever wore out in public.

Huh, 10 products this time. That is a lot and there is even more to come so stay tuned.

Hello,

I'm  so not ready for the Summer but I'm trying. Every year I try to put more attention to my skin and hair during warmer months but after the season is gone I'm back to the lazy me. Sometimes taking care of myself is just too time consuming but I would like to change that.

I finished up Avon Foot Works Pineapple cooling foot lotion. It was pretty jelly like but very moisturizing also the fresh scent was a bonus. I always get these limited editions with great scents but more so because they are really nice and make my feet look presentable in no time.

This awesome scented Lush Plum Rain body wash was lovely. I loved the fresh plum scent and deep purple color but I think it is a little too expensive for what it is (I personally don't like to spent big bucks on washes but rather indulge in body lotions). It did last me for a long time and I'm in love with the scent but honestly I don't think I will repurchase it.

This mask,  Avon Advance Technique Moroccan Argan oil hair mask, was recommended to me by my sister who is using it for a long time now. The scent is typical for the line and I like it a lot. The mask itself worked really well in such a short time (at the back it says that you can rinse it off after 5 min and I don't have more time than that) and I was still able to see the difference in my hair. They were softer, silkier, smoother and with less frizz. I already repurchased it but now they have this pale gold packaging. I don't mind the outer look of a product as long as it is the same.

Catrice Cool & Matt primer stick was from last years limited edition and I already raved about it and I said that it is such a shame that they don't make it permanent. It is not the best  one out there, I have pretty oily skin and this one doesn't keep me matte all day long but my make-up wears so nicely through the day that I'm not mad. My L'oreal foundation looks great on top and that is what matters. I would repurchase it again if I could.

Catrice All Matt plush shine control powder in Transparent is my ultimate favorite powder. It looks amazing over freshly applied foundation or over greasy face after a couple of hours. It never makes me look cakey or patchy and I love it. This particular baby wasn't finished but I dropped it by accident and it shattered. I cleaned the floor and bought new one in the same day. I don't want to be left without it.

The very last item is Catrice Lip Glow Secret Glowtensify lip pencil which was reviewed on my blog quite recently and my overall impression wasn't good so instead of keeping it and saving it I decided to trash it and make room for better products. This one was pink and it is supposed to work with your warmth and unique chemistry to turn into your perfect pink shade. On me this type of color changing products always turn bright pink and this one was not an exception. At the moment I don't like loud lips but that was not what made me toss it away. It is the weird sticky, waxy texture that doesn't settle and it was driving me insane. I don't want to go full crazy so I'm letting go of this one.

Lip Glow

Hello,

sometimes I get so excited about a product and I can't even explain why. By all measurements I would dislike it but in that hyped up moment I thought that buying that particular item is the best thing ever. One of those is the lip pencil below.

Catrice makes this Lip Glow Secret Glowtensify lip liner only in one shade and it is supposed to adjust to your personal PH level so everyone can wear their 'perfect pink'.

On the bottom there is also a sharpener if you like super precision but with this one I like the regular round tip and I have never used the plastic sharpener at the bottom.

The product is pink (I was expecting to get a clear one) and it does apply clear, wait a couple of seconds and it will turn bright pink (at least on me but all of the PH/color changing lip products I have ever tried turned hot pink on me).

The texture feels very waxy and it does almost sticks together and moves around when I rub my lips together which is very weird. I thought that it will be absorb into my lips and all stain my lips but it sits there like cold wax. On its own it feels weird and I don't like it but I started putting clear or light pink gloss over it and that isn't so bad. The color after time stains my lips so even when it wears off my pink lip is still showing.

In general I'm not a big lip liner fan and this particular liner didn't changed my mind. The texture is just too 'heavy' and obvious on my lips to be comfortable for me so I will try to use it a bit more or just toss it by the end of the year if I'm not going to finish it up. Now I wonder how other lines of lip liners from Catrice feels like...

Empties

Hello,

I'm seriously behind with all of my posts but I at least try to get my empties on time (which means that I can take the trash out  ;).

I cleared out my Avon Anew e-defence cream which I used as a night cream. It absorbs into my skin within minutes but I prefer my Neutrogena for the day. I usually paired it with some oils and it worked. My skin felt hydrated and taken care off but I didn't notice any drastic changes so I will continue to look for something outstanding.

Avon naturals rose toner was a bit blah. It smelled nice but it didn't make a difference in my skin and my mom claims the same thing (we don't live together anymore so we each had our own bottle and been testing it out and came to the same conclusion). The awesome scent just wasn't enough to keep me repurchase it again.

Afrodita's cosmetics was selling body milks and washes in sets (I think they are limited edition but I don't know for sure, they have a couple of other winter inspired scents). I honestly couldn't smell Cinnamon or Honey in the products, they smell nice, sort of creamy and warm. They weren't bad but also not amazing. Both had very thin and liquid consistency so I used them up super fast, think one month which I think is too fast so I won't be repurchasing.

Avon used to sell these huge SuperShock lip glosses. They have huge wands, fantastic melon scent and they lasted for quite some time but are old. Just last year I tossed my first one in peachy gold shade and now I have decided to toss the last two ones. First is Tickled Pink in a very natural but sparkly hue, the second one is my favorite and is called Ravishing Rose. I wanted to use them up last year but I don't think I used them once, I call this a fail and a clear sign that they are no longer needed in my collection and I can throw them in garbage before mold starts to grow.

The very last item is Essence invisible kiss transparent lip liner in Multitalent Wonder. It is basically clear lip liner. My first one was also from Essence but it was in the wooden format and I fell in love but since they discontinued it I bought this replacement (I have two more backups to go through and now even this one is no longer sold). It feels a bit waxy but it glides over the lips and fills in the lines or if your lips are chapped it will glued them so when you go over with a lipstick or lip gloss your lips will look like they are in perfect condition even if they are not. I cannot even imagine not having something like this in my stash, it has become a must just like a concealer or a mascara. I have to admit that I prefer the wooden pencil over this one because it was thicker and it didn't broke, with this one I have to be extra careful and even then I manage to break it (it happened three times and every time I wasted precious product). I know that Essence now don't have anything similar in their collection but something like a lip primer is coming in February, within Catrice line there is a chubby pencil that might be something similar and Avon has a clear liner in their brochure so I think I'm good.

Multitalent Wonder lip liner

Hello,

I'm not the kind of person who wears lip liner on a daily base but if I do it is usually the clear one. I had one from Essence and it was wooden pencil which won me over. So when they replaced them with the one in the plastic case shown below I had to get it and see if the formula is still the same.

Essence invisible kiss lip liner in the Multitalent Wonder 'shade'. It is a clear liner with a waxy consistency.

It is quite thin and prone to breaking, something I didn't need to worry about when it was available in the wooden form. I also have a feeling that this one is weaker, it works but not as intense as the old one  ;(  I still use it on days when my lips feels and looks dry or even cracked because the pencil with its waxy formula will fill in the wrinkles and seal the flakes so the whatever product I'm applying on top of it will glide smoother. I still think it works but the older one was better. Now even these are discontinued and I got in total three of them and eventually I will use them up, now in cooler months even faster. After I will be done with them I will have to look for an alternative because now Essence don't even have transparent liner in its collection but I think Catrice has one and I know Avon also carry one.

Essence haul

Hello,

judging from the photo below you would think I splurged a little but all of these items were on sale because Essence decided not to make them anymore :(   There are some of my favorites going away so I had to buy backups of backups, some are new to my collection and some aren't even for me but I still wanted to include them here.

On the top left corner there are three invisible kiss transparent lip liners in Multitalent Wonder. I had the previous version which came in a wooden form and I loved it so when I saw they are discontinuing them I had to get as many as possible (the rest were all broken, what a shame).

Even bigger bunch of extreme lasting easy glide &waterproof eye pencils in the shade Rockin' Taupe. I already have one and it is amazing, so amazing that I bought another one for my sister and she loves it as much as possible. When I informed her that they will be gone soon she ordered me to get as many as possible and so I did. I visited two stores and picked up all unused ones and we will split them.

Also, all of these aren't for me. My sister wanted to try the famous lip oils and she wanted to get the expensive ones from Clarins. I convinced her that it is smarter to try some low budget ones first to see if she even like the feeling. I personally have the ones from Catrice (all three shades and one is already used up) and I hope these Preetifying lip oils will be similar. They definitely smell better, while the Catrice ones don't have a scent these smell sweet. The yellow one is called I care for you, honey, pink is named First help, pinky and the last red one is SOS, my heart.

I picked up two powders to try and break the routine (the one I'm consistently using is Essence all about matte fixing powder). The one on the top is get picture ready pore refining powder in Selfie finish (even though it is the only shade available) and next to it is color correcting mattifying powder in the lighter version Beautiful finish. I don't believe in color correcting products if the colors are all swirled together, how does the color know on exact which spot to jump to color correct my skin and make it look even? The reason behind picking it up was the mattifying claim and that it actually looks light enough for my skin tone.

There are also two lipstick. Top one is longlasting lipstick in the beautiful neutral shade Natural Beauty (I already have one shade which is not my favorite but I love the finish). I would pick more but I saw that they will come out with revamped line that looks very very similar to this one, so I will just wait for the new ones and pick one up when they will arrive to compare.

The other one is from Sheer & Shine line and I already have three shades. This line has to be my favorite from the brand if not the best formula that I have tried for my dry lips. My mom agrees with me because she loves it too, she declared this one to be her favorite. We both own this exact shade which is Candy Love and it is beautiful soft pink shade that glides so effortlessly on the lips plus the shade looks so good no matter how I do my make-up. I was only able to find one and this one will go to my mom because I have way too many lipsticks of my own but if I will find one more I will keep it.

Chubby pencil is 2 in 1 eye shadow & liner and I got it in the shade Rosy Happiness. My oily lids are usually against cream products so even though it looks amazing I didn't get it for myself but only for my sister. She was asking about it but then she couldn't decide if she should pick it up so I will surprise her with one that I think will look lovely on her.

The metals shadows looks gorgeous on the swatch and I had a wish to own at least one ever since they came out but I just never really pick them up. This time I stocked up with two lovelies. First is Patina Glow in olive green shade and the other taupe color is Frozen Toffee.

Right now I'm using just regular dark grey eye shadow to fill in my brows but it is slowly coming to an end so I was thinking ahead when I purchased this duo. It is make me brow duo eyebrow powder in Mix it brunette! but I think only the darker color will be suitable for my caterpillars above my eyes but after a closer inspection and natural light this color looks brown not grey. I hope it will appear grey and that it will match me otherwise I just bought two more eye shadows.

Me and my sister fell in love with this taupe shimmery number from the my must haves line and it is in the shade All I need, there are two other colors getting discontinued but we didn't care for them. I can't wait to start playing with it since it looks so lovely.

Second to last product is smokey eye set in Smokey Day. This wasn't on my list but when I saw it in person I changed my mind. The colors maybe don't look interesting but the bottom shimmery color looks fantastic, it is slightly darker than the single one above but they both contain small shimmer that makes it glow and that is what I like.

And the very last palette is get picture ready 1,2,3, smile palette with 7 different colors, big mirror and a decent brush. I already have mine and review will follow soon, this particular one is for my sister because I have a very strong feeling that she will love it.

Now, I just have to find time to play with all that new make-up, it will be tough because we are heaving a real heatwave and all my make-up is melting away.

more shopping

Hello,

I was in need for some retail therapy and for me that means that I went into drugstore and bought some make-up. I know I shouldn't because I have enough but I picked some items up that were on my wish list for soo long, now I wish I would wait a little longer because I could get the two Catrice blushes for less (have you seen which products from Catrice are leaving us and what will replace them? I'm excited and I can wait for the end of the month).

I bought the'last' Catrice Illuminating blush (I already have the other two and they are among my favorites). This one is called Coral me maybe and it is  a very light peachy shade.

Under it there is another Catrice blush from the Defining line. I have heard loads of amazing reviews about it so picked up one shade to give it a go (all of the shades will leave the range). I decided to get dusty, rusty rose shade named Sunrose Avenue.

I'm not a big fan of matte cheeks but this Essence shade in Rose me up! stole my heart. It looks pretty neutral. like a face powder for a few shades darker skin tones but as mentioned it caught my eyes and I just had to have it. Out of the three blushes I bought this one maybe looks the most blah but I'm the most excited about it.

One eye shadow belongs  to the ARTDECO longlasting line and this particular shade is Satin Light Taupe. I was left spechlees after swatching this beautiful neutral brown shade. I think it will fit perfectly into my eye shadow collection.

For last I saved the only lip product. It is Catrice Lip Glow Lip Pencil Secret Glowtensify liner in a pink color which reacts with the warmth of your lips. I don't know why I felt the need to purchase it since I had some lip glosses or the Essence lipstick which were also activated by the warmth and they all turn bright pink on me. I guess I'm an optimist and after trying it out I will see if we will get along or not.

Empties

Hello,

yesterday's post was all about finished nail polishes and today I'm focusing on other products even though there are two more nail related products in here  :)

Let's start with the Alpstories cleansing gel with Sage and Mint. I have heard so many praises about it and was super thrilled when I won it in a giveaway. I couldn't wait to start using it but in my books this is rather an average face wash for my oily and acne prone skin. I imagined the scent to reminiscent Sage and Mint but it doesn't, it smells green and fresh which is nice for sure but I haven't noticed nothing bitter like Sage or cooling like Mint. The texture is rather liquid and it doesn't work with the packaging. That is my biggest issue with it. The pump should have a longer nozzle so I could get my open palm underneath, this short pump just make product spill down the packaging and if you don't clean it regularly it gets all sticky and icky. For sure it felt nice on my skin and it was super gentle and jet it managed to remove my make-up without stripping my skin. Nice product but I really despise the packaging and I won't be repurchasing it again because of it.

As mentioned above there is one nail polish product in the mix and it is Essence nail studio xxxl nail protector with nylon fibers. I went through a couple of bottles of it and this was my last one and it for sure will be missed since it is discontinued and there are no similar product available. Basically it is a milky base coat with small nylon fibers which holds the nail together. This is especially useful when your nails are brittle or already broken, the fibers connect, make stronger base and your nails aren't breaking as much. That is the explanation in a nutshell and I can't think of one reason why they thought that discontinuing this product was a good idea. Do you?

Aveo nail polish remover with almond oil was a simple and handy little thing. I think it removed my nail polish well and the scent wasn't so horrible. Probably I should mention the super low price tag which is not very proportionate with the efficiency of the product. I will most probably repurchase it, I think they have some other 'scents' and I might try something different or I will just buy the same almond oil infused one.

Avon Planet SPA pillow mist with Chamomile and Lavender was a joy to use. I did use it on my pillows and sheets but mostly I used it as a body spray. Who doesn't like to smell like a relaxing cup of tea? I'm not even being sarcastic here, I'm bloody serious. This sprayed around my head made every task easier and I already miss the scent. I will try to use up some other body sprays but I will repurchase this dreamy scent soon.

Last item is a lip product and usually they are colorful, this time around I have a clear one. It is Essence Transparent lip liner which got discontinued but they came back with it in a different packaging (mine is in a wooden form where I had to sharpen it but the new version comes in twist up plastic, I don't have it jet but I hope they didn't tweak the formula). It might look like a gimmick product, clear liner what is it supposed to do? Well, my friends it does a lot. When my lips were a bit dry or even chapped I applied this waxy liner on it and it smoothed the surface of my lips and I was able to use lipsticks on top (you know when your lips are flaky and colored lip product only make it look more obvious? Not if you apply this guy first), even when my lips looked its best it filled in all of my fine lines and it made my lips look plumper and even fuller (poutier not I got fillers bigger). It even prolongs the color of a product worn on top, because it is clear, transparent it doesn't add color but it helps to last everything for much longer. I will repurchase it, there is no doubt in fact this is probably one of my top ten Essence products of all times.

Two shopping days

Hello,

I think in one of my more recent posts I said that I will try not to pile make-up and I will rather try to use up what I already have. That is all good but from time to time I have to treat myself with some colorful bits and since my habit isn't expensive I don't feel too guilty.

I visited two different shops and bought some necessities and some extras as well.

On top there is 'new' Essence ultra last lip liner in the  Rosewood High shade. They promise smooth application and waterproof formula, my only hope is that it will survived one meal and I will be happy with it.

Then we have tried and trusted Alverde Rose oil about which I talked here. I haven't had it for almost one year and when I saw it on the shelf I quickly snatch it because I genuinely miss it. The only difference I can spot is that new bottle doesn't come with the plastic see through lid on top of a dropper.

I am a big fan of Catrice camouflage cream in a pot but I also wanted to try the liquid version in the 'bottle' ever since it came out. I finally decided to take a plunge and I picked the lighter version which is 005 Light Natural. On the first glance it looks very light, maybe even lighter than my overall skin, maybe I will learn how to highlight with a concealer next.

Onto the colorful item, it is my first Lavera item and it is So fresh mineral rouge powder in Charming Rose. This color looked so fresh and welcoming that I just couldn't resist. I'm a sucker for this type of bright coral shades.

The last product has the most fun looking packaging and I wanted this shadow ever since I swatched it in the store and then sadly realized that there is only sample left. One week and a half later I tracked it down in different store and I picked it up without any hesitation. The swatch felt buttery soft and super pigmented, the color itself is very neutral looking matte brown, perfect for my crease. It is Essence Live, laugh, celebrate LE eye shadow in the very popular shade T.G.I.F.

I'm excited to use the oil again and for the make-up? I think I'm equally enthusiastic about all of the items.

Simply Spice & Coral Desire

Hello,

I have prepared more Avon products and on today's agenda there are lip liners. I already have Mystery Mauve shade which is beautiful and oh so versatile.

Avon ultra glimmerstick lip liners in Simply Spice and Coral Desire are new in my collection.

The packaging is sleek, black and what I love the most is colored ring at the end which matches the color of the product. I store them upside down in a jar and it is so easy to pick the right one among different pencils. The retractable mechanism is also a nice touch.

The pigmentation is superb but also it can be build up (if you want lighter color you just don't need to press to much). I find out that the best way to apply them is to moisturize the lips before starting with my make-up and I leave lips for the end. After I'm done with everything I wipe off the remain balm and apply liner on dry but moisturized lips. I don't like the matte look so I always put something on top, usually lipstick and it lasts on me for a couple of hours with drinking and eating if I'm careful.

Avon ultra glimmerstick lip liner  Simply Spice

This is Simply Spice which is brown toned nude, in real life it is a bit more brown but it was so hard to capture. I love putting on top all kinds of nude and peach lipsticks because it tones them down and makes them more 'earthy' ;)

Avon ultra glimmerstick lip liner Coral Desire

Coral Desire leans more on the red side in my opinion, it looks like a soft red and not too coral. I wanted a proper summer coral shade but this will do since I like to wear red lip stains and with liner underneath they will last even longer. The other day I played with sheer peach lipstick and combination of the two created nice bright coral (a little bit  of mascara and bronzed cheeks and summer make-up is done).

I like how easy they are to use, overall they are a bit drying but nothing a little balm beforehand and a moisturizing lipstick on top can't fix but if you are a fan of wearing just lip liner I can see they would be a little too dry. Dry formula on the other hand have some benefits, it is more long lasting which is all I want from a lip liner.
I like the shades and I think I will forever repurchase them.

Avon purchase

Hello,

Avon is giving us nice new products or at least unbeatable deals every brochure. I have been spending my money like crazy for the past few campaigns and this one was not an exception.

I picked up some more make-up items and a brand new perfume, so far I don't regret getting it.

On top is an eye shadow quad, Stone Taupes. I have been eyeing this particular shade ever since it came out a couple of years ago and now I finally got my hands on it.

I love lavender nail polish but this one borderlines on pale blue and it is such a unique shade in my collection, I'm in love. The name of this shade is Rain Washed.

Perfume is part of their Scent Essence line where scent are rather simple and the whole point is to mix and match them, of course you can use them on their own but for fun you can try something new and spritz two or three different ones and create perfect harmony suited for your everyday mood. They are coming out with two new scents but I only picked one, named simply Passion Fruit.

And lastly I have two more Ultra Glimmerstick lip liners (I love the one I have and I just had to get more shades) one is Coral Desire and the other one is Simply Spice.

Now the testing begins and next week I will have more in depth reviews about these products.
