Ginger Sugar

 Hello,

I have purchased this Etude duo since I wanted to try out the serum. It is supposed to be very balm like and super glossy. I love everything glossy snd this one looked right up my alley. 

They are Etude Ginger Sugar Lip Serum in Plum Jam (13 ml) and mini Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask (6 g).

Overnight mask does have slight scent and a little taste (thank good since I am not a big fan of ginger) but the formula is very firm and a little goes a long way.

Serum has one of the largest doe foot applicators and at the end there is a dip where the product builds up (on the photo that is not visible since there is a product there, for me this applicator hold way too much product but I just wipe some of it to the sides). Serum has a a little stronger ginger scent but no burning sensation, that is just fine with me.

Overnight mask is a bit milky but on the lips is completely clear. The amount on my hand is huge, I would split it into three parts and wore it accordingly. If I wear too much it gets sticky and stringy but when applied a little is forms a coat over my lips and sticks for hours (it reminds me of vaseline). At the moment my lips aren't chapped but I presume this one will be great addition to my winter care. It feels like I could also apply it over some pesky dry areas all over my body. 

Plum Jam is gorgeous, it can be worn full on but I find this shade a bit dark, on my swatch I sheer it out and I am showing you the shade as I wear it on my lips. I have a soft spot for these mauve tones since they make my red lips a bit more muted while the intensity remains (my natural lip shade is rarely pale, I have natural redness to them and this type of shades take away the bright red tones but still make me look pretty natural). The shine is very intense even when I sheer it out, the gloss stays for way over one hour. I love this gloss so much that I am already looking at other shades. My first pick was actually Nudy Beige but it was unavailable so I picked my other favorite. I think I will now get almost all other shades :)

P.S. When was the last time you saw lip gloss in this format holding 13 ml of product?

Little package no. 2

this is the second part and there are some extra lovely items included.

In this absolutely oversized box is Peripera limited edition Ink Mood Glowy Balm Mellowy Cheek, shade is leaning rosy. These are supposed to be super glowy balms and I was just waiting for the right shade and sale to come along to pick one up.

In the middle is Etude Ginger duo. I got Ginger Sugar lip serum in the shade Plum Jam and it came with a mini Ginger Sugar overnight lip mask. I was close purchasing this potted lip balm a while ago and I am glad that I did not since I can try it now in a mini format (if I will end up not linking it then there will not be much to throw away).

Big green box really caught me by surprise. I think this item was the real reason why I placed this order. I got such a strong fomo and I wasn't even thinking straight. I believed that these balms are only limited edition and once they are gone they are gone for good. It cam with a little pouch and I still don't know if I should keep it or donate it but the balm is the main character. It is Fwee Glowy Smoothie tinted lip balm and I picked Guava Crush. AT first I wanted to get all three shades but pouches stopped me since I don't know what will I do with one let alone with three.

At the bottom there are two Alternative stereo duos. First is Candy Sweets collection Lip Potion Sugar Glaze in the shade Podew Candy Ball which arrived with Multi Highlighter stick.

Second box is another Alternative stereo duo, this one contains Sugar Glaze Lip Potion in Strawberry Mousse Ball with mini Quartz Ball. In swatches I loved the baby pink sugar glaze shade but also the mini caught me off guard. When I saw this blackened sparkly gloss I was all over it.

Whipping Cloud Summer eye shadow palette

this is the second palette from this collection and at first when I purchased them I did not know which one I prefer, I think I now know. One is easy everyday and the other one has a little something to make looks more different and unique from my day to day make-up.

It is Etude Whipping Cloud Summer eye shadow palette. It includes mostly cool toned violet tones and some pinks in the mix. I love the added white and brown to ground the looks.

I love the raised design on four shades and a cute character in the middle. Palette itself is cool toned but not to the point that only true cool toned could wear it.

It starts with matte Cream Soda. It is white and sheer but still visible on my skin, I love using it on my innercornes to brighten or super sheer all over my lid to slightly make them paler.

Middle one is Strawberry Mousse, very pale with a hint of lavender touch, lovely as an all over the lid to brighten and cool down the lid.

Last is called Favorite Place and it is among my favorites. Shimmer is fine and intense with a slight pink base, the overall look is pale pink with tiny but intense shimmer.

In the second row there is Berry Good. A bit more intense lavender but still pastel looking on my skin, this one is very unique in my collection since I don't really wear colors on my lid (anything else than neutral) but I tried it out and I like it. I prefer to put some shimmer over it (see the shade below or my new Essence Frosted Shine)

Middle shade is the only one with the character and I am kind of sad that it will soon be gone :( They named this shade Berry on Top. This one is like a Strawberry Milkshake, very pale cool pink. I love how it looks all over my lid, it makes my eyes appear more bright blue.

I was so excited to wear this shade named Cooler than Me but after trying it out it turns out it is not so very neutral brown, on me it is more rosy, it is still pretty but neutral brown would be more familiar shade to me (I am more used to wear soft browns, beige tones with some silver sparkles, I don't often wear or buy colorful shadows). It turns out very beautiful and it compliments my blue/grey eyes, I am glad that it has this rosy undertone.

Soda Toktok is one of my favorites. I love that this shimmer isn't just silver but there is obvious lavender sheen to this sparkle. 

Second shade named Whipping Crunch is a unique one. It is medium dark brown (on me it is pretty dark) with lavender scattered shimmer (I can almost create it with the Afternoon Tea as a base and Soda Toktok over it, both individual shades are more pigmented or shimmery than the Whipping Crunch on its own). It really is beautiful and I would love to have more of these matte shades with glitter on top.

Afternoon Tea is matte chocolate brown, dark enough for elongating the lid but still bright enough to be noticeably brown.

Here they are all in order, six matte, one matte with scattered shimmer and two shimmery ones (one with small particles and second more glittery). All shades show up on me and look different from one another.

Cream Soda and Strawberry Mousse are first two, sheer matte pale shade to brighten my lid with different tones. Very reflective is the third Favorite Place. It has pink base with so many sparkles. It is low effort shade since it has base color and added reflective part. I love using it as a one and done shadow all over my lid.

Middle shades are all matte but different from one another. They start with Berry Good, Berry on Top

Cooler than Me. First one is the cooler, pink one almost has some warmth to it but only if you compare it to the first shade Berry Good, on its own it is still cool toned pink. These two I like wearing all over the lid or in the first two thirds of my lid because last Cooler than Me is the warmest and deepest, rosy beige shade, I prefer to focus this shade on my outer corners. If I use this one all over it closes my eyes too much and I prefer to wear lighter shades to open my eyes. It is a personal preference.

Lastly we have the beautiful glimmery shade Soda Toktok. I did not know that I will end up loving this shade, there is something about this violet sparkle that I just can't get enough. I can definitely see myself using this one up first. Next to it is matte middle toned Whipping Crunch, it shows how dark it actually is and the shimmer is very similar to the previous shade only here is very toned down in numbers, so there is just a bit of it to make it almost a bit random. I would prefer if they would make this shade a bit lighter, I would use it way more. Lastly there is Afternoon Tea. True matte and pretty dark but used as a liner it works and there is some warmth to it to prevent this palette to be overly cool toned.

One more look of all the shades and I think this palette is very pretty and wearable for me. My initial thought was that I will not be able to pull off these shades but they are not that scary and I can wear all of them and not look like I am wearing too much.

I ended loving both palettes but I think the Spring will have more wear at the end of the year. Surprisingly I think this one will not be far behind since shades are wearable, very neutral and not too much out of my comfort zone. Buying these was a good purchase and they both bring me a lot of joy.

Rosy Taupe

for today I have a lipstick tube since it has been a while since I wore one.

It is Etude Color Lasting Glow Stick lipstick in the shade Rosy Taupe. Packaging is rather large but I find it really nice with its gradient coloring.

Shade is more rosy than taupe and in the bullet it looks dark... I was pretty scared at this point. I prefer to wear lighter shades, more pink or nude but at this point I have almost completely abandon lipsticks. It has been quite a while I wore one so I wanted to get back with something glossy and sheer as presented in promo but I was not expecting rosy red shade.

It has a light floral scent, a bit different but not unpleasant.

It has this darkened red tone but at the same time it looks sheer and very glossy. Here I put on a lot on top and then sheer it out towards the bottom. applied lightly shade just kind of melts into my lips. It gives them freshness without being too much. With a light coat it does not stand out too much I just get that healthy looking glow (it is a bit less pronounced if applied lightly). 

I really like the packaging (it clicks with a satisfying click), shade looks scary in the tube but on my lips it looks pretty natural and I love the shine. Floral scent does not bother me but I can see myself getting sick of it (I think I prefer warmer vanilla or fruity scent in my lip products).

This lipstick totally got me by surprise and took me to an unexpected rollercoaster. 

There is another shade, named Pink Wish that got my attention now after I tried this one...

Honey Honey & Twinkle Glitter

I have two limited edition eyeshadows, again from Etude (previously I had two lip balms/glosses in tubes). They caught my eyes, especially the price and when I dig deeper shades looked like something different and I decided to try them out.

They are Etude What's in my eye, eye shadows in shades Honey Honey and Twinkle Glitter.

They look very simple while in the pan, one white and one pink but that is only a trick, on skin they surprised me since they look like something completely different.

It depends from the light how sparkly they look, in no direct sunlight the base color of Honey Honey is seen as sheer white (I love doing sparkly mod look with it), it is not overpowering but just a touch of white base.

Twinkle Glitter has rosy pink base but it somewhat blends into my skin tone and it is not really visible on my skin as pink. 

White one has noticeable but light base while the pink one is almost just sparkles, that is the difference between them in the shadows.

When light hits them sparkles comes to life. Hone Honey has white and lavender/pink sparkles which altogether create cool toned look.

Twinkle Glitter has more pink sparkles and it looks warmer, at least compared to the first shade.

My photos don't give them enough credit, I just wasn't able to capture their sparkle, from some angles they looked almost metallic but on sun they looked sparkly. I find Honey Honey shade a bit more sparkly than the pink variation.

On the photo above there is visible slight shine. White Honey Honey version is cool toned and pink Twinkle Glitter leans peachy pink with less base color.

I tried to snap one in the sun but I failed. In real life Honey Honey shined like crazy, full of cool violet sparkles catching the light. Twinkle Glitter has less particles but the base becomes more visible in the sun, it has its own glow.

I find them beautiful one and done shadows for my sparkly days. I wear them to my office job and I don't think they are too much since inside they look more modest but when I wrap it up at work and I am free to roam outside sparkles come to life and they transform to a more fun look.

I absolutely love them and will wear them a lot.

Brow Pencil

 Hello,

I purchased this pencil because it was dirt cheap. I think my sister used to used this one for years and she loved it. I was never a brow pencil kind of gal but I decided to try it out so I can see if it is really so easy to use.

Pencil is Etude Drawing Eye Brow in Dark Grey. It has two sides, on one side is pencil and other holds a brush. To use it I had to remove the white sticker which left me with a sticky residue which I still have not completely removed.

It has a brow brush and I kind of love that, it makes my brows more even and if I apply too much it removes the excess. 

I find this triangle shape to be different and nice because I can choose how thick my line can be. This is definitely a plus but pencil itself is quite dry and I don't notice that on my brows but making swatches on the back on my hand felt too dry.

Swatches on my hand are a bit pale because the pencil is dry and pulls on my skin. It can get deeper but only with a few layers. My brows are black but grey pencil works the best since it looks a bit more natural but only if I don't go over the same line a few times then it gets pretty dark and intense.

I actually like this pencil but often I forget to use it because I am just so used to use brush with a powder (this is my usual ritual for brows). It still feels weird to use the pencil but it works and for traveling it is much more convenient.

Spring Whipping Cloud

 Hello,

when I saw this palette my heart skipped a beat. I like light make-up on my eyes and this one looked perfect for me. 

It is Etude Play Color Eyes Spring whipping cream eye shadow palette. Color palette looks delicate and shades look easy to use regarding to tones similar to my own skin tone.

I don't know what exactly it is but I love looking at it and shades somewhat look inviting, I feel like it is hard to mess up palette for me.

Top row here looks a bit deceiving. 

First shade Butter Flavor is ivory but with a peachy pearl finish, on swatches bellow it is a bit more visible than here in the pan.

Cream shade is Scramble Whipping, it has very slight peach tone to it so it is not too stark but gentle and it blends perfectly into my skin.

Last in a row is Sugar & Salty, this one stands out since it is jelly bronzy/peachy glittery shade. Its tone and finish is different from anything else in this palette. It almost feely creamy in the palette but on the skin it blends in and there is no sticky creaminess.

Second row begins with Whole Wheat Cookie. Compared to the second shade in the top row this one is more neutral, it has no peachy tones to it but can look a bit lighter on my skin tone so I like to use it if I want to accentuate the lid.

My photo doesn't do this middle Mochi Mochi shade justice. This one is a bit brighter in real life and gives a bit of kick to my make-up, it is still soft looking but inside this palette it is the brightest and most colorful.

Last one has almost identical coloring than the first in the same row but this one has some random silver glitters thrown in the mix, it is named Sugar Free. On the lid is pale, matte but still playful since the particles nicely reflect the light. It is super easy to use since it sets my primer, slightly brightens and covers the lid and at the same time adds sparkles.

Last row begins with Oat Latte. I find this name very appropriate and fitting. It is matte and gives a bit of dimension to my lid. I like to use it all over the lid and drag it all the way up to my crease. It is light but has just enough coverage for quick and easy make-up look.

Heavy Cream is light grey. I love greys on me but often they are too deep and then look unnatural, this one  is light and sheer. It still gives the coolness but somehow looks natural on me.

Last but not least is Two Shot Americano. On the photo below it looks a bit more realistic since this deep brown is warm toned, not Espresso deep, almost black shade. I like using it as a liner to create little nice wing but since it is not super deep my make-up still looks pretty natural.

I love the incorporated whipped relief on four shades, such a nice touch to stay on the theme. These four are raised and you get more powder with them.

At first glance these shades look very similar but since I am pale they show up and each has a slight difference in them so I can differentiate them and have use out of all of them.

First swatch is Butter Flavor with pearly finish, followed by a matte, peachy ivory Scramble Whipping (on their swatches this one looks peachier than on me). Glittery shade is Sugar & Salty and base does not translate on my skin. I kind of like that it is sheer because these shades are not my favorite (orange toned bronze shades look nice agains my grey/blue eyes but are not my personal preference).

After the shimmers shade is matte ivory (true ivory without any other undertones and that makes it hard to spot on my arm) Whole Wheat Cookie. The brightest Mochi Mochi shade is next which also does not stands out. On the other side is another ivory but this one has random glitters which sparkles in the sun but hardly visible on my photos - Sugar Free.

Last three have more coloring to them and stand out a bit more. Oat Latte looks warm toned nude, it has just enough color to gently define my eyes.

Grey Heavy Cream exude gentle coolness which I love.

Lastly there is Two Shot Americano for definition but stays in the warm territory. I like that they did not made it super dark and pigmented, I feel like it works better with the whole palette like so.

I understand that these swatches look almost the same but in person there is difference and for me they make a change. I personally like light tones, close to my skin tone with slight variation. I feel ike this palette was made for someone like me but I can see some people being disappointed with pale shades.

Here I would like to focus on the two glowy shades, first in line is Butter Flavor and third is Sweet & Salty. Just to show difference in the sparkly bits.

 

In the corner there is a bit of Sweet & Salty shade, followed by two mattes and then it is the ivory Sugar Free with random sparkles. It is such an unexpected shade and so nice to put it on when I am in a hurry.

This palette is gorgeous to look at and for me it is also joy to use on my eyes. I don't like big palettes since I often find repeat shades which look the same on me but here I really can't say the same. When I wear them on my eyes they are subtle but make a difference. I love the pale shades which imitate my personal coloring, added peach tones refresh my complexion while grey makes my heart sing. Added sparkles are a nice touch and having a variety of three is lovely, for me it is also very nice that they added darker shade to line but not overpower.

I wear all nine shades and rarely I can say that I love them all. I can't predict which one would be the first to be panned but I know I will not get sick of this color scheme.

I also purchased the Summer option which looks a bit deeper and more violet, we will see which one I will prefer at the end but the next one is held to a high standard for me .

Peach Twist and Crystal Candy.

I picked some more of these lip balms. I know I did not liked the first one but I decided to give it another shot plus it was available as a set so I get to try two more shades :)

At first I di not knew these characters but then I watched some of the cartoons, Cinnamoroll is cute (it makes me want to eat cinnamon buns) but I relate more to Pompompurin. Trying to get world record in napping, so am I ;)

They are Etude Sugar Coloring Jelly Balm in Peach Twist and mini is Crystal Candy. Both shades are existing it is just the limited edition packaging.

Mini has old school plastic tip and the full sized one has one of these donut applicators. 

Crystal Candy is minty and cooling. It makes sense since it is marked as lip plumper. Ir really burns my lips and if it gets into my mouth it also makes my tongue numb. For me this one is very strong and I don't know if I will be able to use it much and the regular sized one has sweet cookie scent (I really like it). Plush this one doesn't burn or tingle.

First swatch is Crystal Candy in the mini format. It is pale rosy shade with tons of tiny golden sparkles and second is Peach Twist. Shades look almost the same just second one is a bit more pigmented and the sparkle is different. In Peach Twist it is less dense and silver.

Formula on both is very thin and runny. I have to be careful not to apply too much.

Peach Twist is lovely, I love the scent, barely there color doesn't bother me and formula is on a thinner side (I would prefer a bit thicker to stay put for longer) but overall nice. I don't find it drying at all so that is a very big plus. 

Crystal Candy is similar toned but the minty, cooling and tingly effect is too much for me to handle. I am seriously thinking of rehoming this one.
