thinner

Hello,

I feel like no one talks about this product and jet it can be so beneficial if you have a large collection of nail polishes. A couple of years back when I was in need, I barely found it in the drugstore. It was the only one, only this brand had it and I remember it was expensive.

Mavala nail polish thinner

Now I started to work on some of my older varnishes and this baby comes handy, I actually don't have much left. The product I'm talking about is from Mavala and it is a nail polish thinner. This little 10 ml bottle is crucial for my older polishes which just got a bit gloppy as it thins them out and makes them usable again.
Do you know any other brands that also have thinner in their line and I can pick it up in a store?

Perceive

Hello,

today I decided to do something harder than usual, I will try to describe a scent. I think scent is a very personal and defining, it also evolves through the years and has the ability to bring back some fond memories or emotions. It is hard to capture the notes and translate them into the words, but today I decided to make this happen.

Avon Perceive perfume and body lotion

I introduce you Avon Perceive perfume and body lotion. This is the original scent and since they came out with two other versions, green Perceive Dew and pink Perceive Oasis which is also in my collection and it is one of my top ten favorites.
I am using this lotion after I get out of the shower and it is so nice to fall asleep while notes of it are soaked in my pajama so I can enjoy the scent also in the morning. If I'm going somewhere I put the lotion on before I get dressed up and top it of with the perfume.
On the box you can read that this is the limited edition but this goes only for the simple bottle design, otherwise it comes in a much fancier special bottle but I just can't be bother with it. I don't collect bottles when the product is gone, I toss them so I don't care how they look plus, I appreciate simple square bottle, I think it suits the scent very well.

I'm not very good at describing scents but I found the notes of the scent online and Avon says that they used Pepper and Freesia as top ingredients, honestly I can't smell any Pepper but the clean scent of Freesia is very obvious. Next, when the scent gets in touch with the skin and warms up you can detect Carnation, Ylang-Ylang, Plum and Gardenia. I can find Gardenia in there but other? My nose apparently isn't as sensitive as creators was. They close the scent with notes of Vanilla, Musk and Sandalwood. They had to use very little of these three ingredients.
I'm often boggled by scent descriptions because I just can get all of the notes or I can smell something that by the formula isn't included.
I thought to take pictures with my Orchid because the scent reminds me of it (no Orchids don't have a scent but the attitude of the two is similar).
The scent is fresh and airy, like early summer morning. Just imagine yourself walking barefoot on the green hills with wild flowers in full bloom, with a bit of warm wind in your hair. Your white see through dress is floating around your feet while you skip around. Well, that is what I imagine when I close my eyes and spray myself with this perfume. They managed to capture the essence of sweet, innocent joy into this small bottle, just divine.

Blur

Hello,

this time I have been focusing on a primer, I have been wearing it on its own or under different BB creams and my thoughts?

Avon magix compact smoothing primer

This is Avon magix compact smoothing primer. It comes in a regular black square packaging (think eye shadow quads or blushes from the brand) with a huge mirror inside.
The product looks slightly of white, pink toned but on the skin it is clear. It doesn't come with a sponge, you have to apply it with your fingers and I don't mind that. It feels very silicone-y and when applied, the skin looks blurred. It has zero coverage but the finish looks rather soft almost matte but not quite.
I used several BB creams on top and nothing worked well, it seemed like the bases of the products weren't compatible, whatever I applied on top it looked a bit patchy like if my skin is dry. I wasn't to pleased with it so I tried the other way. I applied it on top of my make up to absorb the excess of shine and it also didn't work. It broke up the base, it just smeared the BB cream I had underneath right off.
I really tried to like this product but apparently it is a no go for me.
Did anyone else tried it and made it work?

eye cream

Hello,

I have read so many good reviews about this eye cream so I gave it a go. I purchased it at the beginning of April and have been using it since.

Afrodita Hydra thermal eye cream

It is from Afrodita and the line is Hydra thermal, it contains Hyalurnic acid and fights against first wrinkles, dark circles & puffines. I personally don't have big issues with dark under eyes or puffines but I heard it does amazing job at reducing small wrinkles. The light consistency of this cream is great for the morning when I'm in the rush because it absorbs fast but if you apply more it takes a while. So usually in the morning I use a tiny bit of it and in the evening I don't hold back. I'm using it for a good month and a half and what I noticed is that my skin is more moisturised but I haven't noticed any wrinkle improvement.
All in all I do like it, I haven't noticed any side effects (more prominent veins or something like that) and it does moisturise but I wasn't super impressed by it ether.
My conclusion would be that this cream is nice if you are looking for some basic moisture and you don't have the time or patience to wait for it to absorb but if you are looking for something anti-aging this probably won't be enough.

Good luck

Hello,

my sister travels quite a lot and she always brings me some goodies from abroad. She loves this brand and once she decided to bring some items for me to try as well and I fell in love.

Rituals Good luck scrub

Today's product is from Rituals, good luck scrub with sweet orange and cedar wood scent. This not only smells but also feels luxurious. I don't fuss with body scrubs, I just use brush (it looks like a horse brush since it is round and it scrubs everything). I bought it years ago and it is still good while if you are using scrubs you have to keep repurchasing and to me it feels like you are flushing your money away, what I'm trying to say is that I don't buy scrubs.

Rituals Good luck scrub

Well, those were my thoughts until this product came into my life. It smells more cedar-y than anything, whenever I use it I have a feeling I'm at luxurious spa up in the mountains. It is sugar based and it scrubs nicely while the sugar slowly melts, the particles are set in a thicker base which is full of oils so when you get out of the shower and wipe you body dry the skin already feels moisturised and it smells divine.
I definitely have to extend my wish list of Rituals products, if I judge brand by this baby I want all of the products.

Blush artist shading palette

Hello,

I have been holding on to this palette for so long. It came out in January and ever since I wanted to get it. There are three versions but I felt like the Pink and Coral have similar shades within the same palette and in each there was at least one I thought I won't use so I didn't even bother picking them up.

Catrice Blush artist shading palette Bronzeclat

But I did picked this one, Catrice Blush artist shading palette in Bronzeclat. It comes in a transparent packaging with three huge pans. No fuss, just products and I appreciate that.

Catrice Blush artist shading palette Bronzeclat

One of the reasons why I picked this exact palette was also color scheme. I thought I will get a nice matte bronzer, glowing blush and a highlighter but did I get that?

Catrice Blush artist shading palette Bronzeclat

Here they are swatched inside and you can see that the first shade is too warm to be a bronzer. It is brick-orangey shade, if I put it high on my cheekbones it looks like I got a burn. Of course I use a light hand because it is super pigmented and also I don't want to look like I spent too much time outside but I do find it to be very interesting shade and also flattering on lighter skintone. Just bear in mind that you have to use a very light hand.
Second shade is pure perfection for me. Light peachy shade with a lot of golden glare, not shimmer just glow. It is my favorite among the three.
The last one is a highlighter which is a slightly pink tinted and I can't use it on its own on the higher points of my face but I don't use them like that anyway. I like to top my blushes with them and in combination with the first shade it is gorgeous. Because it is tinted it lightens up the first blush color and makes it softer and more wearable.

Catrice Blush artist shading palette Bronzeclat

Here they are outside on the sun, if you enlarge the photo you can see the glow better.
I'm happy with my purchase even though it is not quite what I expected to be but still, the shades are beautiful and I like to wear all of them. The middle one is my favorite but first and third shades together aren't far behind.

Noni fruit

Hello,

since I finished my previous face wash I pulled a new one. I bought it a while ago when it was on sale and I actually saw this brand for the first time. It got me when I read that it is from a natural certified cosmetics brand. Through the years I figured it out that what it is natural it doesn't automatically means that it will work for my skin. Often natural products broke me out or did nothing for me so I am cautious but I would still like to find more natural alternatives.

Nonique Luxurious face wash with anti-aging effect

The brand is called Nonique, after the Noni tree. For testing I choose the Luxurious face wash with anti-aging effect, not because I would really need it but this one seemed to be the creamiest and nourishing at the same time. At that time I was experiencing some dry skin issues.
The product really smells good, they say that the scent is derived from the Noni fruit which I have never seen in person or smell but the scent is almost a dupe from the Terra Naturi Pomegranate lotion about which I talked here.
I always remove my make-up with a baby wipe and then I use face wash which I massage into my skin and rinse off in the shower. Afterwards I use cotton pad soaked in micellar water and I expect the pad to be clean but not when I used this wash. I noticed that it failed to remove make-up (which was already mostly removed by wipe). I also tested it on face full of make-up and it didn't do really well. I am a bit disappointed that it failed at cleaning my face but it does leave a little residue which I don't mind and that keeps skin moisturised.
Now I use it in the morning and at night I rather use something more efficient. I definitely won't repurchase it but I might try some other products since they have quite a wide range of products not only for the face but also for the rest of the body. If other stuff smells just as good then I will get a lot more products.

Project polish 2

Hello,

last month I first updated you with my take on the project polish and I decided to continue with posts (if you are interested in introduction post it is here). I love seeing empty bottles but at first I thought it would be super hard to finish any, almost five months later and I used up 8 nail polishes and the most important thing is that I'm not tired and done. Year has seven more months...

Essence Blue addicted & Joy 72

First on the photo is Essence Blue addicted glittering top coat. You can see from the bottle design that this is old and I'm glade it is gone since this was never among my favorites. I know it is hard to see how this one looks like but you can follow this link where I posted up close photos.
Second raspberry shade is from a brand called Joy, they have very affordable prices and sometimes I get some funky shades from them (by funky I mean colors that I'm not so sure I will like but I want to try them up). However, they don't have names just numbers and this one is 72, I fell in love as soon as I applied it. The shade is gorgeous and if I will be able to find another bottle I will purchase it for sure. If you are interested in the shade you can see it better here.

I'm already working on some other polishes and I can only hope that the next month will be successful like this one.

aloe vera

Hello,

today I have an essential product for you. I have been using aloe vera gel for years now. It is great to apply after shaving, on those mosquito bites or other nasty bugs that might find your blood delicious ;) I love braids in my hair but I can't stand those plastic bands so I soak ends of braids in this gel and they stay put for days, literally. I mix it with water to make it liquid and put it into a spray bottle and refresh my face on hot days or use it on my hair instead of hair spray, it keeps flyaways  in check and it doesn't make my hair all crispy.

Fruit of the Earth pure 100% aloe vera gel

Just recently I found another great use of this Fruit of the Earth pure 100% aloe vera gel. I apply it on a clean face in the evening and then on top I use oils. This combination helps oils penetrate faster and my skin is left dry (all of the oil sinked in) plus it helps reduce redness and swelling from acne. Since I started using this every evening, my skin looks much better in the morning. I usually use it in combination with tea tree oil but when it will get better I will replace it with lily's oil.

Aloe vera is a must product for me but after this little 'discovery' I renamed it into a holy grail product. I keep this huge bottle in my bathroom and smaller bottle in my purse because you never know.

Play with cushion

Hello,

BB creams packed in cushion form are getting really popular and almost every brand is coming up with their version of it. I don't know if I can buy in my local store any from the western brands but e-bay is floated with Asian (original) products so I took advantage and ordered one.

Missha Magic cushion moisture shade 21

This  is Missha Magic cushion moisture in the shade 21. The packaging is very fancy, not only it looks sophisticated all decked in white and gold but also the opening mechanism is nice. You only press the button and the compact open itself. Great for keeping my manicured nails in superb condition.

Missha Magic cushion moisture shade 21

Inside you get a puff which you use to apply the product (you only get it if you buy the whole thing, when purchasing the refill you don't get an extra one). Inside the lid is shiny but not mirror like, so touching up on the go is not the option, I kind of expected a nice mirror inside because the packaging is so bulky but nope.

Missha Magic cushion moisture shade 21

When you open the plastic where the product is hidden my first thought was, yikes, that is orange but when you get the product out on the skin the color is much nicer. This, what are you watching is not the product but just a sponge and the product is underneath (I took this photo before I started using it so the sponge on the photo is still dry and there is no product on it).

Missha Magic cushion moisture shade 21

It is pretty yellow toned which works for me just fine. The coverage is low to medium. If you have big red dots don't expect this baby will be able to cover them up because it won't. I used concealer underneath but I find out that the sponge messed it up and removed it so afterwards my flaws were on a display for everyone to see.

Missha Magic cushion moisture shade 21

When purchasing this one I messed it up, I wanted to get the one in a silver packaging which is meant for oily skin but instead I bought the one for dry skin so it is very dewy but I noticed after a while the shine does fade, it is still dewy but not as at the beginning. I usually set it with some powder and I'm good for a while.
I get why cushions are popular, first of all the application is so neat and fun to use but when it comes to the point how practical it is... It is nice to use on 'big' areas such as cheeks, forehead, chin, neck but when it comes to the nose and eye area I had issues. I just can't get a nice flawless application there. It is hard to explain but when you are 'working' on your nose or inner corners of the eye you are at the same time taking the product off and I always have to go back and use my fingers so the sponge in some cases is useless. I'm not saying it is bad, it applies the product lovely but for smaller areas it would be better if the sponge would be smaller.

I have a bit of an issue with the coverage, meaning it is not enough for me but I hope one day my skin will get better and I will be comfortable enough to wear something light. I like the color of the product, it matches me pretty well. The sponge application is fun but only on bigger areas on my face otherwise I have to help myself with fingers. Would I repurchase it? Probably not and I think now I'm done with cushion items, they are fun but not as practical as I thought.

Coconut on my lips

Hello,

my last lip balm in a pot, which I use every evening was finished, so it got replaced with this baby. I honesty didn't have high hopes because my last balm from the brand was not working for me.

Labello lip butter in coconut scent

I caved in last year and purchased Labello lip butter in coconut scent. They were all the rage when they came out with them and I felt I was missing out on something, so when I saw coconut flavour (huge fan of the scent) I purchased it.
The smell is actually very pleasant and not to artificial. The texture is a bit light, not what I expected from a butter but it stays on my lips for quite a while (longer than normal lip balms). I usually only use it before going to bed and in the morning when I get ready but to test it out I wore it all day, that is how I know that it lasts longer and it is super moisturizing even on my dry lips.
The scent is not to invasive but soft and there is no plastic taste in my mouth after wearing it  for a while.
I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised, I really didn't expect to be amazed by it but I am. I have nothing bad to say about this product except, I wish they would make the same formula in a stick version. I already know I'm repurchasing but if I will get tired of the scent (the pot is huge) I might buy it in a different version.

Hello,

my nails are still in a bad condition and that means switching up my nail color more often. For today I choose a color my mom hand picked and even though it doesn't look special while in the bottle I think it is gorgeous.

Miss Sporty 425

It is from Miss Sporty, I miss this brand a little, and the shade is 425 (back in the days they didn't have names, just numbers). In the bottle it looks a bit lighter that on the nails.

Miss Sporty 425

It is a dark and gloomy color but that is what I like. It goes with everything and jet, it is not black. I love wearing it on its own and after a couple of days I upgrade it with some shimmer or chunkier glitter, that saves me some time and I can wear it longer.

Bright Blue

Hello,

I collected almost all of the Benecos kajals during their amazing sale and I still regret not getting the bronze one and then I forgot to use one I already had?

Benecos Natural Kajal Bright Blue

All in all, here it is at last. This pencil is from Benecos and it is part of their Natural Kajal line, the name of the shade is pretty suggestive, Bright Blue.

Benecos Natural Kajal Bright Blue

Very bright, indeed but also very smooth and easy to apply. You don't need to build the color, two layers and you are good to go. The longlasting effect blew me away, again. Benecos really knows how to make great kajals even for oilier lids.

Benecos Natural Kajal Bright Blue

Here is the better view of the color. I left it on for about 5 min. and I needed to rub really hard to get it off, you can imagine that on the eye it doesn't move much.
This one is joining the popular jar, yeah, I have two jars full of eye pencils. One for the ones that convinced me with color and stay on for the entire day and the other one is, well, filled with regret ;)
I can't wait for another sale on Benecos products because I need that bronze color as well.

matte

Hello,

in my most recent Avon package I got some new make-up for the face. I feel like I haven't picked up anything in the terms of foundation or BB cream in a while from them. Partially because nothing so far have worked for me and secondly because they haven't show us anything new that would spark my interest.

Avon Nutra Effects BB cream matte skin perfecting Light

I ordered the new improved Nutra Effects BB cream in matte version in the shade Light. They also have dewy version and both are available in two shades. Since my skin is oily and fair I got the lighter shade.

Avon Nutra Effects BB cream matte skin perfecting Light

I feel like the tube is tiny but it holds 30 ml, like a lot of other BB creams, I guess it is just the feeling. The product itself is very liquid so be careful when you open it up (the amount on my hand is huge, with that much of product I can cover my entire face, neck and chest area if I'm wearing a bit more cut shirt).

Avon Nutra Effects BB cream matte skin perfecting Light

It has a SPF 15, which isn't a whole lot but better than nothing, right?
The finish is indeed matte and it stays that way for quite a while, I also tried to apply it on already greasy skin and it worked, it mattified it.

Avon Nutra Effects BB cream matte skin perfecting Light

The tone of it is pretty yellow which is fine by me but once I start to spread it out it gets a bit orange-y on me and also dark (keep in mind that I'm using the lighter shade). I have to be careful and use just a little bit so the tone fits me but that also results in poor coverage.
In conclusion, I would say this isn't great for fair skin tones with pink to neutral undertone. If you happen to have oily skin with medium complexion with lots of yellow undertone and practically perfect skin that just needs a bit of blurring, then you found your match but for me this isn't something I could identify with so I'm giving it a thumbs down.

Bronze sheen on my eyes

Hello,

I bought this pencil only because it was on a special offer and really affordable. I'm enjoying bronze-y shades on my lids so I thought this would be perfect when I don't want to mess with eye shadows.

Avon's kohl eye liner Bronze Sheen

It is Avon's kohl eye liner in the shade Bronze Sheen. It is meant to be smudged to create the perfect smokey eye using only one pencil, so at the end you can find convenient rubbery applicator which you use to smear the liner.

Avon's kohl eye liner Bronze Sheen

Pencil is wooden so to maintain the shape you have to sharpen it. Also, it is a bit hard, when I tried it on the back of my hand it wasn't so obvious but on the eye, holy cow. It did tug my lid and it was a bit hard to manage. I thought when it will warm up it will be better but nope, it is still hard.

Avon's kohl eye liner Bronze Sheen

This is conveniently cut rubber applicator which you use to smudge the line when you're making the smokey eyes. I tried it and I feel that it takes too much of the color away, what I'm left with is just some mediocre brown, nothing exciting.

Avon's kohl eye liner Bronze Sheen

In my opinion this color is medium brow with golden glitter which gives the illusion of a bronze shade. To get the color you see on the swatch I had to go over and over to build up the color and I also had to press pretty hard, much harder than on the eye.

Avon's kohl eye liner Bronze Sheen

Here you maybe see the specks a bit better.
Avon makes great pencils within the glimmerstick line (I love their lip liners, brow pencil and the regular ones meant for the eyes). I tried a couple and none of them let me down so this time I decided to branch out and this is what I got.
To sum it up, this kohl is way to hard for my sensitive eye area, the color is nice but to get this rich brown you have to layer at least five/six layers to get anything remotely similar. To me it isn't worth it, I would much rather spend my hard earned cash on glimmersticks, they simply rock.

Tinted Peach

Hello,

today I decided to show you the second gloss I ordered through Avon. If you read the first post than you know I will most probably return that one but this one awaits different future.

Avon ultra glazewear duo reflective Tinted Peach

As for the other one this one is also named just ultra glazewear, somehow duo reflective got lost and the name of this shade is Tinted Peach.

Avon ultra glazewear duo reflective Tinted Peach

It does look quite peachy with some pink and also green flashes through it. It depends from the light which color comes out to play but my camera just didn't want to participate.

Avon ultra glazewear duo reflective Tinted Peach

Here it looks more golden, in poor light you can see some pink reflections but mostly it is peachy gold so swatches took me by surprise.

Avon ultra glazewear duo reflective Tinted Peach

Again, the first swatch is a bit smeared and second (lower one) is fully packed. The difference is obvious, it doesn't even look like the same product. On second swatch peachy tones are seen but lighter layer reveals how it looks on the lips.

Avon ultra glazewear duo reflective Tinted Peach

Yep, Tinted Peach gloss looks like pink sheen on my lips. I'm okay with the color but it is not what I was expecting it to be. The formula is the same, very cushion-y and pleasant on the lips, moisturizing if you wear it all day long and the scent is very vanilla like.
I like this one a lot, it is not what it looks like but still, I do appreciate a subtle pink lip. There are two other shades available, I think they are a bit lighter that these two that is the reason why I picked these particular ones. Now I have to admit, I am intrigued to try the other ones too. Maybe I will get peach gloss after all  ;)

Monoi spray

Hello,

I'm back with something nicely scented. A while ago I wrote about the oil and since I also have the body spray version of the same scent I decided to post it here plus I checked their offical page and this line is available again.

Yves Rocher Monoi body spray

So, this is Yves Rocher Monoi body spray. The scent is the same, a bit tropical and coconut-y. It instantly teleports you into paradise. I love using them in conjunction. I moisturize my body with the oil and I follow up with the spray, a little spritz over my clothes and hair so the scent lingers longer.
This has to be my favorite combo for the warmer months, I started using them last year but honestly the year was to short. I will use them up before the summer will be over and I will definitely repurchase.

P.S. I also have the shampoo in the same scent. Yes, I know I sound a bit crazy but it smells so good. I'm only missing the perfume and oil with golden shimmer, well maybe this year I will complete the collection   ;)

Rose Reflection

Hello,

today I wanted to pick something fun and lip products always make me giddy so, it shouldn't really be a surprise that I choose a lip gloss.

Avon ultra glazewear duo reflection line Rose Reflection

This lip gloss is from Avon and part of their new ultra glazewear duo reflection line (in the brochure they have full name written on the tube but in person they only have ultra glazwear so at first glance they don't look anything special).
This baby is in the shade Rose Reflection.

Avon ultra glazewear duo reflection line Rose Reflection

Here are just some close ups of the shade. It is a nice medium pink with lots of pearl glare. In certain light it looks more pink and in other more peachy but my camera just wouldn't pick it up. The shimmer in it looks mostly gold but when applied I really wasn't prepared.
My lips had green flash!!!! I looked like a mystical creature from the woods, if that would be the look I was going for than great but I prefer natural colors in my make-up (natural as barely there make-up, shades of my complexion not natural as colors of the nature).

Avon ultra glazewear duo reflection line Rose Reflection

Don't get fooled by these two swatches because they are both made with the same gloss, Rose Reflection. First one is a bit lighter more smeared version (after some wearing time this is how it looks like) and second is stronger and qualifies as a fresh coat.

Avon ultra glazewear duo reflection line Rose Reflection

At first it is quite pink and nice but at certain angle you can see mossy green and on worn out swatch you just can't deny green shine.
The scent is a bit stronger than in 'normal' Avon glosses, it is more vanilla infused and stronger which I don't mind. I was wearing it the whole day (when I was at home, I didn't dare to leave the house wearing green lips) and my lips were moisturized and nourished so they didn't tackle to much with the formula.
The color looks great in the tube but on my pigmented lips it is a no go, perhaps less pigmented lips could handle it and the glare would turn more peachy gold. Next time I will see my sister (she has paler lips) I will give it to her to try it, if she wouldn't like it than I'm sending it back to Avon because life is to short to wear gloss which you don't feel comfortable wearing it.

Hello,

my nails are breaking lately and that means that nail polish also doesn't stay on for long. I wanted to wear some glitter and use this one as a base but I changed my mind not because I would love the shade on its own but simply because the chosen glitter wouldn't match.

Essence nail art magnetics Hex, hex

Polish on the photo is Essence nail art magnetics and the name of the shade is Hex, hex. It is the last magnetic color that I have and I plan to use it up since I don't use it with the magnet (my nails are just too curved to get a nice design so I gave up, I just use it as a regular polish).

Essence nail art magnetics Hex, hex

Two coats are enough to achieve full opacity and before it dries brush strokes are seen but after it dries it is okay. The little magnetic shimmer ads a little something but the overall finish isn't super glossy so I like to add clear top coat (on the photo above it is shown without it) to make it juicier.
This is not my favorite color but I do like grey a lot, when this one will be gone I won't really miss it.

more Avon

Hello,

yesterday I had a lovely day and to top it off I got my Avon order with long awaited products. This time I ordered three items but they are all brand new ones and I'm super excited to start playing with them.

Avon Ultra glazewear duo reflect Rose Reflection & Tinted Peach
 and Magix compact primer

The two lip glosses are a part of their new range within Ultra glazewear line and are called duo reflect because of the pearl shimmer which helps color to shift. In person it is obvious but on the photos that is not the case. I will try my best to show it to you in one of my next posts.
The third item in a black box is their new Magix compact primer which you can apply before or after foundation. That sound intriguing and actually made me buy it. I hope it turns out well and that it won't break me out. Wish me luck.

As soon I will try them I will report back.

Monoi oil

Hello,

last year I purchased this special oil only because the scent is so good. I swear, when you sniff this thing there is no turning back.
I also bought the spray version and body wash with the same scent.

Yves Rocher Monoi dry oil

It is from Yves Rocher and it is named Monoi dry oil. The oil really does absorb fast and the scent lingers all day, specially when you put your clothes on and you add a bit on your hair. You will smell like a goddess. The scent is warm and summery with a bit of coconut notes. I can't quite explain but when I close my eyes I can easily imagine myself relaxing by the sea under a palm tree somewhere in the paradise.
If they will bring it back this year I'm definitely repurchasing it.

Hello,

new day new nail polish, well, actually it is old, already discontinued but still, I haven't post it here jet and that makes it new.

Catrice Forget me not

I have been neglecting this Catrice Forget me not shade for so long and two days ago I decided to paint it on my nails. I remember not liking it too much but now I really love it. Metallic shimmer makes it so eye catching especially out on the sun.

Catrice Forget me not

The color is purple but in some light looks cooler, more towards the blue territory.
When it was new I don't remember having any issues with staying power but now after so many years the texture isn't as perfect as it was. The next day I woke up with some tip wear which I fixed and added a generous layer of top coat and that does the trick.
I feel more encourage to try bolder shades this summer and step out of my comfort zone a little bit.
