Empties

 Hello,

at the moment I'm working on so many products and on a lot of them I'm nearly done... so I guess the next empties will be overflowing.

First is Avon's naturals body lotion with Black Cherry and Nutmeg. I remember using this years ago but time and time again they discontinue it and it is hard to find. I love the scent on this which reminds me of a Cherry yoghurt, the formula isn't the most moisturising out there but for me the scent makes it worth it. I think this isn't available at the moment but if it get back in stock I would get it for the scent alone.

The other body moisturiser is Ahava Deadsea water mineral body lotion (bought as a tester bottle and I was able to get it for less even though it was brand new and unopened). The scent is comforting, that is the best description, nothing too special but still very nice and especially good for night time relaxation. The formula is light enough for the pump to work, it absorbs into my skin and it was perfect with the previous lotion since I find this one way more moisturising and also the scents complimented each other. I would get this one again but only if I find it at a good price since this one tends to be a bit more expensive.

Next to it is my Eveline Hyaluron clinic essence hydrator. Big packaging (110ml) ensured that this bottle lasted me months and also made me use it regularly since it seemed like it would never be finished. The consistency was very watery but the essence often got thick at the top of the opening (the lid does not open but a pressure on the side of the lid open it at an angle and reveals a small opening the side). I liked to use it in the evening under my heavier moisturisers to lock in the moisture. I remember I didn't pay much for it and considering how much product I received this gets two thumbs up from me.

The very last item is a body scrub from Avon. It is their Encanto inspiring body scrub in the creamy violet scent. The scent was okay but as soon I started to rub it against my skin it started to smell artificial. Towards the end I was only using it to finish it up. For my liking this had too small beads and didn't do enough and I was also not a fan of the scent (I much prefer the Afrodita body scrub that I finished up earlier).

Empties

 Hello,

my resolution to post more often haven't come true jet but maybe next month it will be better. Until then I have my empties all lined up.

First is my beloved Essence camouflage+ healthy glow concealer in Light Ivory shade. This is my favourite one, love the creamy texture which doesn't settle too much into my fine lines and it is the perfect shade for my skin tone. I think the healthy glow line is discontinued but I have also tried the matte version and on me they feel pretty much the same in term of formula, just the shade range is different but I can still find a good shade for me.

Next, on top is the Lavender toner from Milnica. I like getting these since they are simple and inexpensive but I prefer to pour them into the bottles with the sprayer and spray them on so I can also use them over my make-up if I'm feeling a bit dry and tight. Lavender is my favourite, Rose being close second. I will get it again but I'm pretty stocked up so I should just finish what I already have before buying more.

Under the toner is Afrodita's pure coconut sugar body scrub. This is very intense since the sugar in it is rough but then the coconut smooths over... it actually is a delight to use because my skin is left with a thick film over it and I love it. On days that I used it I didn't really need to use any other body lotion, this scrubs and nourish the skin. The particles are rough so I would advise gentle massage but sugar does dissolve and  then is just coconut grease all over and that to me feels great. I actually wanted to repurchase it but when I got home I noticed that instead of scrub I purchased butter... it is in the same type of packaging with the same picture... I haven't use it jet but I am excited. After I'm through another scrub I'm getting this one again.

Batiste makes some of my favourite dry shampoos and the Fresh version has to be my second favourite. It is white but it is easily blended into my hair as long as I don't spray too close to the hairline and the fresh scent mimic the freshly washed hair... what is not to love? I already have a backup of it :)

Regular nail polish switching also requires nail polish remover and for me inexpensive works. I used up Ebeline nail polish remover which costs very little and is very effective. My nails aren't super sensitive, even though now in the cold they break more easily I don't think more expensive nail polish remover would be any different so I prefer to hydrate more and rather spend more money on nourishing products than nail varnish removers. I'm already using new bottle of the same kind and I will continue to repurchase it.

This next items is the only disappointing one in the bunch and it is the expensive Ahava silky soft cleansing cream. It smells like plastic, not super strong but when I rub it all over my face I can definitely smell it. The other thing and even more burning one is the fact that this product burned my eyes. God forbid I would rub it all over my eyes (to remove stubborn mascara) and then opened them... with other make-up removing products it wasn't that bad or some of them gave me no irritations at all so it has to be this particular item that I'm having issues with. I will definitely not be getting it again and currently I'm already using Jojoba oil and it removes my make-up with the same ease and if I accidentally open my eyes it doesn't burn at all.

The very last item in here is probably the most used one since I probably used up around ten tubes already and I have no intentions to stop using it. It is Neutrogena Clear & Defend oil free face moisturiser. It is lightweight jet moisturising, is nourishes my skin but doesn't add more oils to it. Great for under my make-up or on days when I don't wear foundation. For me it is a perfect hydrator and I'm already using a new tube.

Empties

Hello,

long time no words from me, I know I know but I'm back with one of the most 'refreshing' posts. That is how these empties feels for me, like a little Spring cleaning where I get to throw a bunch of empty and now useless packaging away.
Less clutter is how I want to live my life and that mostly includes using up what I have (check) and buying as little as possible (a bit smaller check ;)-

Okay, without any rambling this is Garnie oil beauty body scrub. I bought a set with lotion which was recommended to me by my sister (I haven't used it yet) but this scrub was nice. I prefer to use a brush for my body but this one smelled really good. Would I repurchase it, nope simply I don't think it is cost efficient compared with the big 'horse' brush which lasts for a really long time.

Mixa baby surgras moisturizer for face and body for sensitive and dry skin was another 'let's try it out' kind of product. A while ago I was into baby creams for my sensitive skin to provide it with necessary moisture and tone down my redness. I wasn't really pleased with it (I honestly don't even remember what I thought of it since it was so long since I used it), now I found it at the back so I just used it on my body to finish it up.

One of my favorite face washes is this Himalaya purifying neem foaming face wash. It is bright green but it comes out as a light foam which effectively removes everything from my face but it doesn't dry it out. I still love it and I will buy it soon, right now I'm using another favorite of mine.

Hands down my favorite under the eye area concealer is this Essence camouflage healthy glow concealer in Light Ivory. It is a bit light that is why I only use it under my eyes but I love how buildable the coverage is and how natural it looks, very very little creasing and that is amazing. I'm already using my next tube of it.

Huh, Essence used to make these prettifying lip oils in three options (I had all of them). This one is red named First help pinky. It had very little pigment but it was super glossy/juicy looking with nice nourishing properties even though constant reapplying was a must. Still, I think it is worth it.

This is my second Milnica's Rosemary toner. It has quite a strong herbal scent (I like it a lot) but the reason why I keep buying it is that I think it is nicely moisturizing, I even pour it into the spray bottle and use it on my face without any cotton pads that would absorb its magic.

The very last one is this Fenjal intensive creme deo roll on that I fell in love with. Roll on thingy is my favorite way of applying deodorant and I liked the fresh and clean scent of it and to top it of it really worked for me, no stinky underarms for me  ;)

Empties

Hello,

my vacation is coming and I would like to finish up as much as possible. This time I don't have much but I split it into face and body care even though at the first glance it might not look like that...

Mixa soothing toner optimal tolerance for reactive and sensitive skin was with me for a really long time. The big 200 ml bottle lasted me for months and I haven't notice anything special about it. I liked the pump but the products itself was nothing to talk about. I'm already using something new and I don't miss it.

L'oreal micellar water has become a staple. This is the 'new' bottle, previous one was squared and this one is round and much bigger (400 ml) so it also just like the toner, last for a long time. I liked it because it effectively removed all of the remains of my make-up but right now I'm using a different brand because I wanted a change but most probably I will repurchase it.

The third product is Avon foot works Vanilla Berry exfoliating scrub which is meant for feet but I always use them on my face. I get the LE scented ones so they make my routine a bit different. This one smells nice of berries but the formula is different. They usually are packed with rough particles which effectively removes all dead skin but this one felt like the particles are more round and more gentle which is good in theory so that way I'm not damaging my skin too much but the negative side is that it felt like rubbing my skin with moisturizer. I used it up pretty fast and I'm about to use a Coconut scented one and I hope that the formula is the 'old' one.

The tube is Avon naturals sensational Wild Berries and Pomegranate creamy yoghurt scrub. The scent really reminds me of fruity youghurt and the texture is rich and creamy with actual seed irregular shapes and sizes so they look real and I do believe they come from the actual fruit mentioned before. It really is a nice product but I still prefer my big 'horse' brush (it is round and has a strap to put your hand through, just like the ones people use brushing their horses with) which leaves no residue in my shower ;) but I will have to get the lotion in the same scent because it is so very good.

Avon after sun soothing body butter is the very last item finished this month and even though I haven't been on a vacation and wasn't exposing my pale body to the almighty Sun I used it at night to nourish my body and give me that real Summer feeling (right now it is raining outside and all in all we are having a crappy Summer so far). I liked it but it was a bit thick which probably isn't the best in the hot climate but thankfully we are having pretty cold weather so I wasn't bothered by it. The scent remind me of raw Cocoa butter with a fake Coconut scent but it wasn't to bad, very tropical and happy.

I hope that the temperatures will rise again and we will be able to enjoy in the real Summer and use up some sun lotions with high SPF ;)

Empties

Hello,

it is the end of the month and I again used up a handful of products. I have to say that I enjoyed using most of them up and I'm about to finish a couple more but they will be featured in the next empties post.

First tube is  Essence colour arts eye shadow base. They had these available with the pigments in little pots but I wasn't really interested in those but I was looking for an eye shadow primer which would prolong my shadows. The texture of it was nice, not to liquid or to hard, just right and it was colorless and without shimmer. For my oily lids this product worked just okay, in combination with some shadows it lasted 7-8h but with most less. Last year in April I bought Artdeco primer which works so much better for me and since then I haven't used this one. I think it is time to toss this tube even though it is still full but since I'm not using it and I found better alternatives I can ditch it.

Second tube is Avon Foot Works scrub in a Cherry Ice scent. I love their limited edition scents and pretty much always I pick some but I don't use them on my feet (if I do it tickles me, I use piles on my feet) but on my face. I know, some people will be grossed about it but if you close your eyes and don't know that it is meant for the feet it makes sense. The scent is too nice for feet and there are plenty of  particles which makes exfoliating really easy, you don't need to press too hard but instead you massage it gently. I already miss this lovely scent but I'm replacing it with the papaya one.

Pencil s Essence Gel waterproof eye pencil in black. I remember I won it a couple of years ago (I wouldn't get the black one for myself) and I used it for a while but since I wasn't too impressed with it (on my hooded eyes it smudged and I just don't like pitch black color on my eyes) I put it on the side and now I wanted to start using it but the whole tip broke and fell out. Fortunately I have sharp reflexes and I caught it but the pencil itself is so hard and dry that I can't get much out of it so I'm tossing it. It is completely my fault, I know that I have way too many pencils so I'm making a point in using them up and not buying new ones until I use some.

In the back there are two more Etude House Royal honey sheet masks (I used one previously) and on the photo above is the actual mask (I was surprised at how well it fits my face, apparently it is very round). I'm still in love with the scent and this time I did noticed that my skin looked more plumped and hydrated (probably because I used two of them). I would like to point out that there is plenty of the liquid left after you take the saturated mask out and I have been using it as a liquid moisturizer which took me another four days of using one pack up completely. I think I will repurchase it again in the near future.

The last item is Melvita Lily's oil. It is supposed to help you fight against skin discolorations, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, restoring luminosity and radiance, for all of these I can verify. My skin has improved dramatically and I think the main reason is this 'miracle' oil. If you were wondering this is my second empty bottle of it and I already have backup of it and I will see if I will even need to buy the fourth bottle or my skin will look nearly perfect at this time next year.

Huh, that was a handful and at the same time so relaxing. Knowing that I'm using products and they work well for me is the best. After two weeks I will have another empties post and I'm afraid it will be bigger.

Empties

Hello,

half of the month is gone and I'm back with another empties post. I manged to use up six items but one of them went bad before I could do so.

First in line is also the one I used up first. It is Avon Advance Techniques dry shampoo. I won't blab to much about it but you can find my review here. I still love it and I already repurchase it.

Next is another Avon item, this time from naturals range. It is Green tea & Verbena shower gel. I bought the whole set and body lotion is already used up. The scent is lovely, my cup of tea but I honestly don't care that much about shower gels. I like cheap ones and this one is a smidge too expensive so I won't repurchase it and that goes for other scents within the same range (I prefer Senses from Avon, lots of lovely scents to pick from and they are cheaper).

Melvita fresh micellar water with Rose was great. My skin responds very well to it and the Rose scent was beyond gorgeous. I had the previous version of it and it impressed me, so that was the reason why I bought this one. I just checked their official web page and it is on sale, does that mean that they are discontinuing it again?

Orange pot is Rituals Good Luck Scrub with Sweet Orange and Cedar Wood scent. I talked about it here. The scent still gets me, in my dreams that is the scent of luxurious spas on East. I think I will keep the packaging for a while just to sniff it some more and if I will ever find the store abroad I will pick it up again and some more from the same line.

On top of it is Body & Soul wellness hand cream in a limited edition scent of Passion fruit and Marula oil. I definitely recognize slightly fruity scent of Passion fruit, which has to be one of my favorites but the cream itself was rather average. Nothing to special and I don't think I will buy more from this brand unless they will get me with some more awesome scents.

The last item is Catrice Made to stay smoothing lip polish in the shade Jen & Berry's. I remember I bough it when they came out back in 2014. The shade is a nice Raspberry with some brow to it to darken it up. Rather unusual color for me but I enjoyed wearing it. The pigmentation was nice, the gloss lasted but when it was gone the lips were still tinted. I find the concept nice and it made me sad to find out the were discontinued because I would get more shades. mine in particular went bad, it always had that sweet and plasticky repulsive scent but now it is unbearable and I'm just tossing it.

Good luck

Hello,

my sister travels quite a lot and she always brings me some goodies from abroad. She loves this brand and once she decided to bring some items for me to try as well and I fell in love.

Rituals Good luck scrub

Today's product is from Rituals, good luck scrub with sweet orange and cedar wood scent. This not only smells but also feels luxurious. I don't fuss with body scrubs, I just use brush (it looks like a horse brush since it is round and it scrubs everything). I bought it years ago and it is still good while if you are using scrubs you have to keep repurchasing and to me it feels like you are flushing your money away, what I'm trying to say is that I don't buy scrubs.

Rituals Good luck scrub

Well, those were my thoughts until this product came into my life. It smells more cedar-y than anything, whenever I use it I have a feeling I'm at luxurious spa up in the mountains. It is sugar based and it scrubs nicely while the sugar slowly melts, the particles are set in a thicker base which is full of oils so when you get out of the shower and wipe you body dry the skin already feels moisturised and it smells divine.
I definitely have to extend my wish list of Rituals products, if I judge brand by this baby I want all of the products.
