Empties

 Hello,

bellow are my massive August empties. I had to split them between two post since it was too big of a batch to show in just one.

I used up another tube of Neutrogena oil free moisturiser which is my everyday morning lotion under my make-up. I love the light texture which quickly absorbs and leaves no trace just hydrated skin and it doesn't greases me out. I have already purchased two more tubes.

Big tall blue bottle is Pantene hair biology cleansing & reconstructive shampoo. It was nicely creamy and it foamed up nicely. The scent was also very nice, floral and fruity but also fresh (very appropriate for a clean hair scent). I have a greasy skin and scalp so this one really removed all the buildup but didn't strip my hair. I ended up really liking it especially with the matching mask.

In the same light blue tone there is a big pot of Pantene hair biology cleansing  & reconstructive mask. The scent is the same and it is very nice, I wonder if they make a hair spray as well. I know I would get it. The mask was thick and it gripped to my hair while I would shave. I tried to keep it on for as long as possible and my hair were soft and hydrated afterwards. It was not the most hydrating mask that I have tried but it was nice especially for the low price, not bad at all and I would get this duo again.

On top there is Some by Mi Yuja Niacin dark spot correcting stick. I really liked the simplicity of a stick which softly glided over my skin like butter. I fortunately don't have super dark spots anymore but even those spots that I did accumulate and weren't too deep were diminished pretty fast. I liked the effect and the stick format. 

Another brightening product from the Some by Mi brand. This is a mini and it was a gift with purchase Galactomyces pure vitamin C glow serum. I wasn't light as water but it also wasn't sticky, the consistency was right for a pipette application and it was quickly absorbed. I like to incorporate some brightening agents into my routine so I will probably buy a bigger bottle of it and alternate with the stick mentioned above.

Next to it in the pink bottle is The Body Shop vitamin E cooling gel mist. It looks like a aloe vera gel but there is enough liquid in it to spray out. I haven't noticed any cooling and extra hydration. I even took it with me on a vacation and it felt like a regular toner, nothing too special. The scent was non existent but if some of it landed on my lips it had a bitter taste so I tried to avoid getting in on there.

While getting the cooling mist I also got The Body Shop vitamin E gel moisture cream. It was pretty light but I was surprised that it was even too light for my greasy skin. It sinked in quickly but my skin was still pulling and it felt too tight. I used it up in combination with heavier lotions and I will not be buying these two from The Body Shop again.

In the pale tube with a mouse is Biobaza winter magic hand cream which I purchased last year but started using it in the summer time. It had this sweet wintery scent that I liked but the formula wasn't my favorite. It was heavy and did not sink into my skin, it left a greasy film over it and everything I touched was covered with my prints. I used it up as fast as I could and will not be buying it again. 

Last two are Versache Crystal Noir body wash and body lotion tubes which I have receive with my bottle of perfume. I love the scent but in these two the smell is slightly different and slightly less pleasant. Body wash was fine, in the shower it lather and I liked it enough to use it up the body moisturiser was greasy and that is what I really didn't like on top of the odd scent. I was glad that I managed to finish them up and will not get any sets again. I would rather just get the bottle since the scent is the best.

I have some more empties for the month of April but these were used up in the second half of April.

First is this big Ziaja Italian fig body wash. It was clear and quite liquid. The scent was sweet and fruity, reminiscent of the real ripe fig. I would get this one again.

Next is another Ziaja body wash but this one with goat milk. It was creamier than the first one but it didn't have any distinctive scent, just creamy but I count that as a good and positive sign. It felt calming and perfect for a good night sleep. I would get this one again.

If I am sticking with the body care, next item is Balea bloomy dreams body lotion. It had a lovely violet scent, calming, relaxing but also very light in intensity. My complaint is the slightly greasier texture. It was nice for massaging. I would like it more if the texture would be lighter, so I will not be buying it again.

Big pot is discontinued Avon planet spa Heavenly Hydration hair mask with Mediterranean olive oil. I remember I have used up a few of those and I have always had nice results, this time around nothing changed. My hair after using it felt soft, smoother and silkier, I am genuinely sad that I can't find it again :(

I have received this small tube of Vichy Dercos energy + stimulating shampoo for preventing hair loss. I got a few hair washes out of it but I haven't noticed any difference in hair growth but I still used it. No crazy results but also no bad experience, I have shampoos which works better for me so I will not be buying more.

The last bottle in line is L'occitane Verveine Cactus EDT full of Bergamot and Lemon notes that I am not crazy about. This bottle just like the yellow one was given to me and I used it more like a room spray. I am glad that it is gone and I am not sad for letting this bottle being recycled and out of my life.

First tube is Iliria 48h hand cream. I have used up one in the past and I loved it. Light texture but highly effective, even my boyfriend likes it so I have already purchased another one.

Next pink bottle is Nivea rose touch cleansing face mousse with organic rose water & micellar technology. My mom purchased it for herself thinking it is a rose toner, the liquidy texture fooled her but since she doesn't use face washes she gave it to me to use it up. It was nice but nothing special, I used it mostly in the morning because it didn't remove make-up but it was good for removing my natural oils. All in all it was a bit drying and not the best at removing foundation so I will not be buying it.

I have used up so many of these Neutrogena oil free face moisturizers that I have lost count. It is a lotion with. lightweight formula, it doesn't clog my pores and sits nicely under my make-up. Really nice and effective morning moisturizer.

I am new to the Skin 1004 brand and I tried their mini version of Madagascar centella cream. It is supposed to be hydrating, calming and helping with building skin barrier. I had high hopes but the texture was very light and watery, it took very long time to absorb and since I mostly used it in the evening when I was sleepy I just couldn't wait for it to absorb to continue with my routine. I could only use some oil on top since everything else would just slide right off. Unfortunately it didn't work for me and I won't be buying a bigger size.

Little purple bottle is Some by Mi retinol intense reactivating serum (retinol, retinal and bakuchiol) which was a free gift with purchase and even though it is small it took me weeks to use it up. It didn't irritate my skin and I like that :) also I love how clinical the brand feels :) I will get it again in a larger bottle to fully test results.

Essence grow'n'glow is a nail varnish with a slight red tint. It is supposed to make ma nails appear less yellow which it did but very minimal. My biggest no-no was intense chipping. This one started to ship on the third wear day and it is just too soon. I quickly used it up, mostly repairing chips but it is finished.

Second bottle is also Essence nail polish and this one is light grey with pink sparkles and it is named Miracle Stone. Very pretty in my opinion but it got a bit old and the formula just didn't perform how it should so I had to throw half full bottle away :(

Last one is Essence matt concealer in Light Ivory. This one is my staple and sometimes I change the shade (because I ether forget which one is the one, more shades work for me or I just get the one that is available at the moment of need).

for the first half of April I have some really nice items in the empties bag.

I have used up two Avon Care coconut hand creams. These are some of my favorites, they are light in texture, absorb quickly and actually nourish my hands. I kept one at home and on at my workplace. I think I started to use them at around the same time and I also managed to finish them at the same time. I already have new ones to go through.

I already have a lot from the brand Some by Mi but I haven't used up much (my shopping addiction is showing). They are from their Beta Panthenol line, top is lightweight repair serum and at the bottom is repair cream (also quite light). Combo of these two helped my skin to calm down and hydrate it. I was really impressed with them and I have already purchased myself backup and I have also received minis of both :)

I am done with another one of this Catrice ultra last fixing sprays. This is hands down my favorite fixing spray. It holds my make up in place and keep my oils at bay.

Last bottle is a mini Biotherm micellar water. A few drops on the cotton pad and it removed the remaining bits of my make-up. I would get it again but I still have two bottles left and I don't go through micellar water that fast.

First here is Max Factor 2000 calories Cotton Candy shade lip gloss. It is very translucent peachy pink and on the lips looks almost clear. It has a slight sweet scent and I love taht it looks very juicy on the lips, just how I like it. The only downside is that it doesn't last, if it would I would get it again and also in the clear shimmery option.

Next in line is Essence Cranberry lip oil. It goes on clear and tints my lips bright pink. I ended up really loving it becuase this is one of the rare tinting lip product that evenly stains my lips and I was really annoyed when they discontinued it :( I did pick myself a back up :)

Second to last is Terra Naturi Shea butter & Argan oil lip balm. It is clear and looks very glossy on the lips. It is very soft and buttery, just how I like it. I do have another one to go through before purchasing more. This is one of my favorites so I will continue buying them but first I need to use up my extensive stash.

Last is a mini Lancome Hypnose mascara. On me it looked pretty natural and on most days that is exactly how I like it. On normal day, going to work I like my lashes just to be a bit more visible, nothing too dramatic. I feel like this mini lasted me for a long time ( I had to check and it was in November of last year, so around 5 months). I think I would get this one again if I can find it for less.

this is the last empties post for the year and items below are the ones I used up in December.

First tube is Avon Today, Tomorrow, Always body lotion in the Today scent. To me it smelled great, floral and sweet, I did pair it with something moisturising and unscented to get the best of both worlds. The tube did get empty pretty quickly, I don't know how that happened but since I have a lot of body lotions that is a good thing. If I will find it for a low price I just might get it again.

Next is Nuxe face and body honey cleansing gel. When I saw that they make honey scented something I had to get it, so I have a big bottle with a pump and this smaller 100ml free item. I decided to get the smaller out of the way and it was amazing, my entire bathroom smelled like honey not to mention my skin. I can't wait to start using the big bottle since that one will last me for weeks.

I used up another Frudia hand cream, this time it was the Shea Butter one in the rich formula. I prefer the ones with white lids since the textures are lighter, this one smelled great (typical shea butter scent) but it was heavier in texture and it left my pals all greasy. I will not get it again but there are some lighter ones that I will buy again.

Some by Me bye bye blackheads 30 days miracle active cleansing gel (I recently used up 4 minis from this line but the face wash was different than this big sized bottle). This one comes out like a thick gel and you are supposed to apply it over clean and dry face, you leave it for a while and the gel starts turning into a thick bubble foam (I can actually hear them forming and bursting). Then I start massaging it into my skin with damp hands and it feels nice but it is time consuming so it took me quite a long time to finish it off. I probably won't get it again because of that plus it made my skin feel a bit dry.

I wanted to try something from Embryolisse and I found this radiant complexion serum. This is a full gel like product but it had a weird scent, nothing spoiled but rather plastic. It felt lightweight and great for layering but at the end I didn't liked it more than Avene or Teaology gel moisturisers so I would rather get those two over this one.

At the end I have a little La Roche-Posay sample of their Hyalu B5 serum. It is thick gel which doesn't ruin down my palms and that is a major plus for me, it absorbed quickly but this is quite expensive compared to some other brands. I already have a big bottle of hyaluronic acid serum  for much less but probably I won't buy it.

my latest empties from November include a lot of products, some good and some really nice.

L'oreal blond me dry shampoo is a real game changer because it comes out like a thick foam. It makes my hair wet so it does take some time for it to work out (usually I do my make-up in the mean time) and the I just shake them up. They are dry and fresh without a single white cast, I already have a backup ;)

Batiste dry shampoo with the fresh scent. It smelled like I got out of the shower, I guess like clean hair :) I absolutely loved the scent and I will definitely be buying it again since it has that same effective Batiste formula plus the scent of freshly cleansed hair. I like to alternate between these two dry shampoos since I still think the L'oreal takes a bit more of my time but when done right it looks more natural than Batiste.

Next I have a quad of Some by Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 days collection.

At the bottom is their miracle toner with niacinamide  and teatree. It is very watery and I liked to use it under my serums, verl lightweight and great to pair with something heavier on top, I would just wait for t to get completely absorbed (I already have a big size). On the ground level is miracle serum centela asiatica and teatree with pipette. Very similar to toner if I compare the textures and I loved the packaging. On top is first miracle face wash which created thick foam and I had a feeling like it really did cleanse my pores well but sometimes it felt a bit too much, my skin felt a bit stripped. Nothing too bad if I properly moisturise afterwards. I would get it again. The very last item is miracle cream centela asiatica and teatree, quite light in texture but hydrating. I really liked it and would get it again. 

Under there is a pot of The Body Shop Almond milk body yoghurt. It smelled very nice, creamy and nutty. I really like these types of scents for bed but these yoghurts aren't the most hydrating for my skin so probably I will skip these in the future but I  will try to get the lotion version of this scent.

Next item was gift with purchase. It is Armani stronger with you body wash. It had a nice scent, manly and fresh, zesty and comforting. I liked it but probably I wouldn't enjoy it in the perfume version. 

My holy grail fixing spray from Catrice is making apperance again. I go through these 50ml bottles regularly since it actually makes difference at longevity of make-up. I keeps my make-up put but lets my skin a bit glowy, it is not sticky it just has a shine and in my opinion that makes it look natural. 

Dove invisible care antiperspirant was also a free gift with purchase and since it was quite small I started using it on my summer vacation. It looks small but it lasted me a long time. The scent was nothing special but I liked the formula. I still sweat through my antiperspirants but my natural scent is reduced significantly.

White tube is famous La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5+. The formula is a bit thicker and it doesn't pair well with other more liquid items underneath (I had to wait for toners or serums to fully absorb otherwise this just slid over my skin) and the thick texture is a bit white. I am a bit conflicted since I read how many good benefits this has but the white greasy texture wasn't my favorite.

A while ago I purchased this mini Origins Drink up intensive overnight hydrating face mask with Avocado. First think that I noticed was the sweet scent (it reminded me of candy). it was also a bit thicker but not as greasy as the product mentioned above. I used it as a night cream, I tried to not exaggerate with over applying but using as much as I would normal cream. I think I would rather get this one again over the La Roche-Posay tube.

Last two items are hand creams from Avon. First is the gentle one with multi-biotics and vanilla and second is silicone gloves. The first one was really nice, the Vanilla didn't shine through though. But for the silicone glowes one I didn't have much hope since I expected it to be to slippery but in fact it was nice. It was lightweight and it did absorb, my only complaint is that when I washed my hands I felt it coming off and it didn't made much difference on the long run. It was helpful when it was on but when rinsed I didn't think it did much.

there are quite a lot of empties for the month of August so I have decided to split in two posts. I have cleared up 16 items.

First is Guess Seductive Noir perfume in the large 75ml bottle. The scent is lovely, very reminiscent of Mon Guerlain but for much less. The longevity on me is great just as it is on Guerlain (yes, I have them both) but since Guess is cheaper I was using it more frequently (I apparently don't want to use the expensive one because I am scared to use it up completely...)

On top is the Kiehl's midnight recover omega-rich cloud cream which I have received as a free gift with purchase. The texture is somewhat cloud like but it did not suit me. My acne started to reaper and I did not like that. The most of this generous gift was used on the neck and chest area until it was gone.

On the bottom there is Ahava time to hydrate gentle eye cream which was not a gift with purchase :) It was a lightweight cream and I think my skin really liked it. I have eye wrinkles but if I get something hydrating around them they lighten up and are less visible. The lightweight texture was also a plus. I would get it again.

Some by mi beta phantenol repair toner (hyaluronic acid to moisturise and niacinamide to refine skin texture) was a free product with one of my purchases. I am no longer a huge fan of toners but I still wanted to use it up since I had it. I would pour some on my palm and drench my face in it, no cotton pads to soak up the product. Afterwards I followed with some kind of serum and then cream, it was a little extra step in my routine but honestly I don't think it did much, it did feel a bit extra.

Another bottle of Catrice ultra last fixing spray. I have used up so many of them and I have still around 20 bottles left. I really hope they won't discontinue it soon.

Peter Thomas Roth firm peeling gel. They claim to visibly exfoliate by rolling, lifting & sweeping away impurities when massaged onto skin multi-action enzymes & cellulose help uncover a smoother fresher, newer-looking complexion. This felt like a cream and when I was rubbing it for a while the water evaporated and it started to roll and peel. It is right there in the name but I highly doubt that all this is my dead skin, I think it is mostly just the dried up product but it did feel great, seeing all that being washed away. It gave me a feeling that I really cleansed my skin. I would get it again, since it also felt gentle on my skin. 

I have used up another Neutrogena oil free moisturizer. This is my favorite under make-up and I have used up quite a lot of them. Every once in a while they change packaging (I have seen at least five different ones but they all seem to be the same). I already have a few backups at my disposal.

The last item I purchased as a joke. It is Saffe for kids shower & bath foam with cucumber scent. I just shok it and thick lightly green and fresh scented foam came out. It was a joy to use in the shower, it did made me feel like a kid in the most positive way. I would buy it again, if I am not mistaken there are four options so maybe next time I will get something else than the Chameleon.
