Empties

 Hello,

this end of the month arrived way too fast for me. Some items I barely finished but I will have to split my empties into two posts, there is still so many of them.

First is Beauty of Joseon Green Plum refreshing face cleanser had clear semi liquid texture. When mixed with water it got a bit foamy and it nicely washed my face after using make-up removing balm, I just had to be careful not to get it into my eyes. I like it but probably I will not be getting it again, there are others which does not irritate my eyes.

Next is Peter Thomas Roth Potent C Power Scrub. It is mechanical scrub for face with not so tiny particles. sometimes my face gets itchy and mechanical scrubs feel so good but I know they are not gentle so I prefer to use enzyme based scrubs which I am using right now and it has the same effect just more gentle. I will miss the actual beads all over my face but this particular was expensive an not worth it. there are cheaper scrubs out there.

Then there are two Ilirija 48h protecting hand creams which I liked a lot. I kept one tube at work and other one at home. Each hold 100 ml of product and one tube lasts me for months. Scent is creamy, formula is medium thickness and it absorbs very fast so there are no greassy prints over my computer. I would get it again. I think these are already my third and fourth tubes. 

Second to last is Origins Out of Trouble face mask. It was clay based and after some time it dried out. It had a very odd scent but otherwise it cleared my pores really well and left my skin refreshed but not super dried out like clay masks tend to do for me. A very nice one for my oily/mixed skin.

Big green tub is Anua Heartleaf 77 clear pad for soothing sensitive and irritated skin. I liked to use two at the time (one on each cheek) when I was drying my hair after a wash. It helped to prevent drying my skin while blowing warm air to my hair. It contained 70 pads and I have another one of these to go through. I really liked it and it comes with handy tweezers to get each individual pad out.

for today I have prepared one part of my empties for the month, tomorrow I will have mostly make-up empties.

Big boy is Bioderma Atoderm intensive balm, this formula is supposed to be ultra-soothing and helps with itch. Last month I got extremely itchy skin on my back and I used this one but I feel like it didn't do much. My skin was still itchy, maybe a bit less (that is hard to judge) so I feel like it did not do much. I will not be getting another one of these plus the packaging is not my favorite. At the end I turned it upside down but not everything came out so I am throwing this bottle away with product still inside.

In the back is The Body Shop Juicy Pear body butter which I purchased one time in the Winter time. It smelled like a nice juicy pear and it was really nice, the texture was thicker but it is their butter so that was expected. I actually liked this one better than the Bioderma one. I think this scent was a limited edition and is no longer available. 

Up front is It's Skin Soak up helper serum which is for dehydrated and sensitive skin. I used it every evening under my moisturiser to help my skin get better. I like a little hyaluronic acid in my skincare routine and this one was nice, not too sticky.

There is one mini trial sized item, it is Anua Heartleaf pore control cleansing oil. It nicely removed my make-up without leaving greasy layer behind. I like that it did not strip my skin off and also that it did not make my eyes water.

Next is Malinca hair conditioner, which was given to me by my friend. It had a weird scent but I can get past it since it made my hair frizz free, super silky and soft. I think this one is one of my favorite conditioners but the price is a bit high. I guess it is worth it but I will be on a lookout for a sale.

In a blue and heavy bottle is Biotherm Life Plankton mild creamy peel. It feels like a moisturiser and then after rubbing it it starts peeling off. I did not notice any difference, my skin still felt a bit bumpy and there were no smoother skin. I feel like only the products rubbed off after rubbing it for a few seconds. 

Besides it there is Peter Thomas Roth Water Drenched Gel Cleanser. I didn't like it for make-up removing but I use it for my second wash. It was a bit goopey but it worked nicely to remove oil and remaining make-up but there are cheaper option out.

Last two items are Haruharu wonder items. One is Black Rice Hyaluronic Cream with this nice packaging.  I really like this packaging but it is not practical. The plastic it a bit too hard to squeeze it out so I had it turned upside down but the cream is not that runny. I think there is still product inside but I just can't get to it. The cream itself was nice, it did not leave extra glow, it quickly absorbed and moisturise my skin in the evening and also in the morning. If they would released it in a different packaging I would get it again.

Last item is another Haruharu wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic product but in the bottle is toner. It is water for the face. after washing it I applyed a few drops every morning and evening. I did not notice any drastic change in my skin but I started to use less lotion/creams on top of it since I did not wait to fully dry. That was a nice touch and maybe because of less cream my make-up also wasn't sliding off as much. I am starting ti like toners more and more.

here is the second art of my empties full of face items.

First is REN bio retinoid anti-ageing cream which I used in the evening. It had a light texture but it took a while to get absorbed. I also have oil from this line and usually I put oil on top of everything but here they recommend cream to be on top of this oil so when I tried this sandwich this cream applied nicer and absorbed quicker. Lotion is already gone but oil remains. I found out that REN is going out of business so I will not be able to repurchase it.

Bright orange is my beloved Neutrogena oil free face moisturiser. I love this fast absorbing cream under my make-up and I have some more backups to go through. If they ever discontinue this one I eally don't know what will replace it.

Next is another one of my many repurchases because it is that good. It is Catrice ultra last fixing spray. It seals my make-up while giving my face glow (not sparkles just uniformed glow. It looks almost like layer of it dries on top of my skin and reflects light). I thought that is pretty standard look but now I am using something else and it does not do that, it just makes me look dry so I bust open another bottle of this Catrice fixing spray and I combine them. Just another proof to me that this one is amazing. 

Mini bottle on top is Cos de BAHA Hyaluronic acid serum. It was a free gift with purchase and that is why it is so small. It had a light and liquid formula and it was a pleasure to use. I would get it again from this brand and try out some other ones as well (I am intrigued by their brightening serum).

Lastly there is Peter Thomas Roth Rose stem cell anti-aging face mask. It was a pink gel mask, very cooling on my skin. It was supposed to be very hydrating but I did not noticed anything special about it, I liked the rose scent but my skin didn't improve while using it so i will not be buying it again. I also have a blue version which is next in line to be used.

there are quite a lot of empties for the month of August so I have decided to split in two posts. I have cleared up 16 items.

First is Guess Seductive Noir perfume in the large 75ml bottle. The scent is lovely, very reminiscent of Mon Guerlain but for much less. The longevity on me is great just as it is on Guerlain (yes, I have them both) but since Guess is cheaper I was using it more frequently (I apparently don't want to use the expensive one because I am scared to use it up completely...)

On top is the Kiehl's midnight recover omega-rich cloud cream which I have received as a free gift with purchase. The texture is somewhat cloud like but it did not suit me. My acne started to reaper and I did not like that. The most of this generous gift was used on the neck and chest area until it was gone.

On the bottom there is Ahava time to hydrate gentle eye cream which was not a gift with purchase :) It was a lightweight cream and I think my skin really liked it. I have eye wrinkles but if I get something hydrating around them they lighten up and are less visible. The lightweight texture was also a plus. I would get it again.

Some by mi beta phantenol repair toner (hyaluronic acid to moisturise and niacinamide to refine skin texture) was a free product with one of my purchases. I am no longer a huge fan of toners but I still wanted to use it up since I had it. I would pour some on my palm and drench my face in it, no cotton pads to soak up the product. Afterwards I followed with some kind of serum and then cream, it was a little extra step in my routine but honestly I don't think it did much, it did feel a bit extra.

Another bottle of Catrice ultra last fixing spray. I have used up so many of them and I have still around 20 bottles left. I really hope they won't discontinue it soon.

Peter Thomas Roth firm peeling gel. They claim to visibly exfoliate by rolling, lifting & sweeping away impurities when massaged onto skin multi-action enzymes & cellulose help uncover a smoother fresher, newer-looking complexion. This felt like a cream and when I was rubbing it for a while the water evaporated and it started to roll and peel. It is right there in the name but I highly doubt that all this is my dead skin, I think it is mostly just the dried up product but it did feel great, seeing all that being washed away. It gave me a feeling that I really cleansed my skin. I would get it again, since it also felt gentle on my skin. 

I have used up another Neutrogena oil free moisturizer. This is my favorite under make-up and I have used up quite a lot of them. Every once in a while they change packaging (I have seen at least five different ones but they all seem to be the same). I already have a few backups at my disposal.

The last item I purchased as a joke. It is Saffe for kids shower & bath foam with cucumber scent. I just shok it and thick lightly green and fresh scented foam came out. It was a joy to use in the shower, it did made me feel like a kid in the most positive way. I would buy it again, if I am not mistaken there are four options so maybe next time I will get something else than the Chameleon.
