Empties

 Hello,

this is the last empties post for the year and items below are the ones I used up in December.

First tube is Avon Today, Tomorrow, Always body lotion in the Today scent. To me it smelled great, floral and sweet, I did pair it with something moisturising and unscented to get the best of both worlds. The tube did get empty pretty quickly, I don't know how that happened but since I have a lot of body lotions that is a good thing. If I will find it for a low price I just might get it again.

Next is Nuxe face and body honey cleansing gel. When I saw that they make honey scented something I had to get it, so I have a big bottle with a pump and this smaller 100ml free item. I decided to get the smaller out of the way and it was amazing, my entire bathroom smelled like honey not to mention my skin. I can't wait to start using the big bottle since that one will last me for weeks.

I used up another Frudia hand cream, this time it was the Shea Butter one in the rich formula. I prefer the ones with white lids since the textures are lighter, this one smelled great (typical shea butter scent) but it was heavier in texture and it left my pals all greasy. I will not get it again but there are some lighter ones that I will buy again.

Some by Me bye bye blackheads 30 days miracle active cleansing gel (I recently used up 4 minis from this line but the face wash was different than this big sized bottle). This one comes out like a thick gel and you are supposed to apply it over clean and dry face, you leave it for a while and the gel starts turning into a thick bubble foam (I can actually hear them forming and bursting). Then I start massaging it into my skin with damp hands and it feels nice but it is time consuming so it took me quite a long time to finish it off. I probably won't get it again because of that plus it made my skin feel a bit dry.

I wanted to try something from Embryolisse and I found this radiant complexion serum. This is a full gel like product but it had a weird scent, nothing spoiled but rather plastic. It felt lightweight and great for layering but at the end I didn't liked it more than Avene or Teaology gel moisturisers so I would rather get those two over this one.

At the end I have a little La Roche-Posay sample of their Hyalu B5 serum. It is thick gel which doesn't ruin down my palms and that is a major plus for me, it absorbed quickly but this is quite expensive compared to some other brands. I already have a big bottle of hyaluronic acid serum  for much less but probably I won't buy it.

Empties

 Hello,

this time around I only finished up some smaller tubes of products. Some of them I really liked and some I just finished to be gone.

First green tube is Biotherm Aquasource gel intense regenerating moisturising gel and second is Aquasource night spa, triple spa effect night balm. They are both thicker gel formulas but the night spa is a little richer and I liked it a little more than the first one. So I went ahead and already bought the 50ml but I was a bit disappointed because I expected the same packaging just larger, it feels more hygienic to squeeze it out. I like the fast absorbing texture of both products and my skin seems to really enjoy it as well.

The next two tubes are the same product, one of them I purchased in a set, the other one came free but otherwise they are exactly the same. They are Bloom & Blossom wonder worker multi-tasking balm. To me they are a little too greasy but someone with super dry and cracked skin really enjoyed it. It feels like butter in a cream formula and on me it just doesn't get absorbed and my skin stayed greasy. I will not be buying it again because my skin just isn't dehydrated enough. The scent is creamy with some lemon thrown in the mix.

The very last tube is Bloom & Blossom hands up age-defying hand cream. At first it also feels a bit greasy (not as much as the multi-tasking balm) but it sinks in and I don't feel slippery or greasy. I had it at work and my coworkers also used it and they all liked it, even my sister mentioned lovely formula and the scent. This one also gets raving reviews from me and I'm already eying the big tube.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day

 Hello,

coincidentally products featured today are mostly from Avon. I still very much like their stuff, especially their scented products, they really make amazing scents to this day.

Avon Morrocan Romance with Rose oil, soothing bath & body oil really smelled nice and I think this was my second and last bottle since they don't make it any more. This one I used in the shower after a wash, I would lather it on and rinse it off. A thin layer remain on my body and as mentioned before it smelled divine. So, to put it simply, it was an in shower moisturizing oil. The product itself wasn't anything special but I liked the scent so very much that I would repurchase it if I could.

Next is one of my sisters favorite mask, it is Avon advance technique treatment mask with Argan oil.  Even though it is a hair mask and you are supposed to leave it on for a couple of minutes I noticed that it worked its magic even if I had it on my hair for only a minute. It is such a quick little helper that I'm sure to repurchase it again. My hair looked smoother and felt silkier after each use.

In my previous post I raved about Neutrogena face cream from this pink line, so of course I had to get the matching face wash. This Neutrogena Refreshingly Clear face wash with Pink Grapefruit also had a little bit of a scent and the texture was a bit goopey. Mixed with water it was okay but I had to be careful not to get it in my eyes because it would irritate them, not so much burning them but they would just turn pink (like swimming in the pool). There are kinder face washes out there and I don't need to hurt my eyes with this one. I'm glad that this one is gone and I won't repurchase it.

The very last one is another lovely Avon product. It is from their Planet SPA line and it is Fantastically Firming with Columbian Coffee extract body cream. To me this smelled like a latte, more milky than coffee like but the scent was definitely perfect for sleeping. So calming and soothing. I also enjoyed the the txture of this cream because it wasn't a hard butter but closer to the lotion than anything else. I would repurchase it in a heartbeat if I could.

Empties

Hello,

I'm still here just a bit distracted. I am aware that this month has been a really dry for my blog but it is what it is. I will try to get back on track and blog more next month.
But till the next time here are some empties that I keep accumulating...

Zara Green Apple and White Freesia body spray was the very last bottle from the trio that I owned. In the last year I got super excited about fragrances (especially designer) and I'm trying to finish up my older, cheaper ones and to use any body sprays that I have because they don't make me happy anymore. This particular one was fresh and flowery at the same time. I would say Spring in a bottle. It smelled like a fresh morning. The nature is bursting in white blooms and the distant green notes gives it naturalistic appeal. The fragrance didn't last on me for long (it is a body spray after all) so I was coating myself with it and was able to finally finish it up. I love my rich, sweet scents but this one was a nice departure.

The next fragrance is Avon Outspoken Fresh by Fergie perfume which is also super old. I started to notice that this scent would slowly go bad. When I would spray it in the last couple of weeks the scent at first wasn't pleasant so I wasn't using it on my body but rather as a room refresher. It was clean and fruity but I could never decipher of what kind of fruit it reminds me of. Some sort of a mix with some clean notes added to it. I used to really like it but now I didn't care for it anymore.

This is my second used up bottle of Beauty Glam clear skin serum with 2% Salycylic acid and I know that I said that I won't repurchase it again because I couldn't notice my skin loving it. It was only after I wasn't using it daily anymore (after I was finished and wouldn't have any backup) that my skin started to act up and not in a good way. There are a lot of factors involved but I believe not using this serum was also one of them. During the sale I picked up two more bottles so I don't ever need to be without of it.

Next item is another old one and it is Avon Advance Technique instant repair hair mist. It is supposed to help with damage but to me it was like water. Watery texture made my hair wet and after they dried they looked exactly the same. I have to take in account the age of this product (it is for sure a couple of years old) but if I tried it when it was brand new and I couldn't see the difference... I see why I put it  in a dark corner and forget about it.

On the top is Avon true ageless overnight gel which I was super excited to try out ever since it came out. It is a proper gel texture which stays a bit sticky and full of bronze and gold bubbles which break when you massage them but the 'wrapping' doesn't dissolve so the next morning I would find these gold rubbery substance everywhere (on my skin, hair, PJ, sheets, floor...) plus I notice my skin breaking up and after quit using it, healing my skin and start applying it onto my freshly cleansed face just to see acne reappear... not a cream for my skin unfortunately. I finished it up on my legs and I'm happy to throw this packaging away.

The very last item is this big red jar of  Rituals Honey touch body butter with Indian Rose & Himalayan Honey. I completely forgot about it and I was super scared that it already went bad (it didn't). It smells very nice, like a luxurious lotion with a hint of Rose. The scent is not mild but I can't put my finger on how it smells like but I know it is very comforting and snugly. Perfect to cover my entire body with it and roll in bed.

Hello,

this time around I have some Summer inspired products. I decided not to wait till much coveted Summer or vacation simply because I don't know if I will even go on a 'proper' vacation by the beach this year... everything seems so vague and distant, but to stop myself drowning in sad thoughts I decided to create vacation destination right in my bathroom... ;)

Nivea creme pearls body wash with Cherry Blossom is a travel sized one that I received a couple of years ago in an advent calendar with a bunch of minis. I never took it on my travels and this year, God knows... in the mean time I used this in my shower and it gave me the feeling like I'm on a vacation already ;) However, this scent was very, very pleasant but I don't know how to describe it. A bit musky and rich, creamy and it reminds me of an expensive shower gels from fancy hotels. I don't know if that makes any sense but I can say I would buy it again in a full size but I can't find it online  :(

I finished another body wash and this was another lovely one and it is from Balea and it is their limited edition Relaxing Bali body wash. Very nice scent, fruity but not too sweet. Nothing plastick-y or icky but very nice and I would also repurchase it in a heartbeat if I could.

It took me a really long time to finish up this next products because of its size (400ml) and it is Eveline hyaluronic micellar water. I have zero complaints about it. In the evening if I had a feeling like my skin isn't completely clean after two step cleanse I would soak my cotton pad with it and wipe my skin clean. It worked but at the moment I have something else. When I will be looking for a new one I will definitely check this one out.

Neutrogena visibly clear oil free face moisturizer is a constant in my routine. I use it religiously every morning because it is hydrating and sinks right in so it doesn't add any unnecessary grease to my skin and also it doesn't break me out. I'm already using a new tube of it.

Garnier skinactive 3 in 1 (scrub, face wash and face mask) is the very last tube. I also had this one for a really long time but this kind of products for me always take a long time. It claims to be 3 in 1 but honesty I don't use it as a scrub because it is not effective enough plus I started to use more of a chemical or enzyme scrubs opposed to mechanical. Sometimes I put thin layer all over my face and let it dry while I brush my teeth, if I had more time or my skin was acting up I would cover it up in a thick layer and let it dry completely or I would opt for a quick wash with this clay based product. I really like it and got used to it so I always have something clay based that can be used in multiple different ways at all times. At the moment I'm using a different one from Neutrogena and I like it a lot. I'm not particularly loyal or picky, so when I'm in need I usually buy the cheapest ;)

Empties

Hello,

this is the last empties post for this year. Some more empties to throw away, clean my space and await the new year with less items ( I haven't rushed to the store and buy more because I already have similar products in my possession to replace these).

The first on the top is Avon anew clinical anti wrinkle crow's feet corrector with A-F 33 (this is supposed to be unique Avon ingredient to help fight aging). I noticed that if  used it closer to my eyes it would irritate them (I would apply it in the evening and by the morning my eyes would be red and itchy) so it is important to read and follow the instructions and apply it only on crow's feet and just leave it there. I still would often find it to be irritating so at the end I used it on my neck only.

In the glass bottle is Ombia cosmetics Hyaluron gel which I don't think it is available at he moment (they only bring it out a couple of times a year). This is my second bottle and if I will find it soon I will grab another one otherwise I will get something else. Hyaluron is supposed to bind with moisture and you should apply something moisturizing on top to lock it and keep it in the skin. I haven't noticed any big difference but is was nice to use under oils, which are a constant in my skin regiment, so I got used to it.

The next bottle is kind of hard to see what it so you will have to believe me that it is Afrodita cosmetics Great Burdock hair oil. This is a miracle oil that helps my hair grow faster. I suggest it to everyone I cross paths. I use it on my brows and scalp and after two to three applications I can already see some baby hair. I'm telling you, this is fantastic and I already have a new bottle ready.

The last item is another oil but it is for different purpose. It is Terra Naturi Wildrose body oil. I used it on its own or on top of body butters or lotions if I had a feeling if they didn't provide enough moisture on its own. The scent was a typical rose and to my nose very pleasant. I already have another rose oil from a different brand so I'm covered.

Another year has come to an end, thank you for following my ramblings and I wish you a happy new year.

Hello,

I just got back from my vacation and while I had a blast I mostly enjoyed my time outside on the sun and in the sea. I used very minimal skincare only the necessary items but since I used so many I didn't end up finishing any. I guess I will try to use them in the next few days (while the weather is still sunny) or next year.

I have finished another one from Catrice vitamin lip treatment line and this one is called Bohemian Raspberry. A lovely berry-red shade that gave my lips just enough pigment to tint them slightly more red. I'm really into this healthy looking lip situation and not only the shade was perfect the product itself is lovely too. The Watermelon scent, glossines and nourishing properties. This was my second one and I have three more to go.

Next is Blistex mango lip balm. I remember having the original version and I liked it so when I saw this fruity one I decided to get it. It smells lovely but it wasn't moisturizing enough for me. I did a mistake and purchased two more (one in Mango and the other is Strawberry) so I'm not quite done with them but if I wouldn't buy them in advance I wouldn't repurchase them.

La Petit Marseiliais makes this Shea and Fig body lotion which is in my opinion divine. The scent is calming and rich but not too overpowering, the nourishing properties could be better (it is not bad but I noticed if I get really dry skin then it doesn't help much) but for regular everyday is divine and I can easily see myself repurchasing it soon.

I finished another bunch of these Garnier moisture and comfort tissue masks. This time I went with  with Chamomile and Hyaluronic acid combo because my skin just went through some nasty cold and it showcased on my skin. I'm still not sure if these tissue masks do anything. I'm starting to realize that perhaps they don't turn my skin dramatically. It says on the packaging that one of their masks is equivalent of 1 week of hydrating serum in concentration but honestly I don't see that.

The very last item is Ombia cosmetics Hyaluron gel. I use it at night to carry my oils into the deeper levels of my skin and retain moisture. I really like it and have another bottle ready to go.
