Empties

 Hello,

today I have only a few empties, maybe next time it will be a bigger group.

I finished two Avon Planet SPA Ayurveda Ritual body butters with Indian Turmeric Root and Coconut Milk. My sister actually got me hooked so I bought one and immediately got myself a backup because they discontinued them... It is a rich body butter with a pleasant creamy scent, it has Coconut for sure but it isn't overly sweet or sunny scent, perfect for a cold Autumn weather. If I could get it again I would but as mentioned before it is gone.

Next is my trusted Batiste dry shampoo, this particular version is The Cherry one and it has to be one of my favorites. The formula is just superb, very effective with minimal white cast. I noticed that they are changing the packaging design and also are selling them for more money... I will still buy them but at the same time I will start looking alternatives.

The mini bottle up front is Cacharel Yes I am Glorious. A fragrance which is supposed to smell like a creamy Peach but I get a sweet Peach wrapped in candy. Still very nice and uplifting, whenever I put it on I started to smile and not a lot of fragrances do that. I was about to get myself a full bottle but then I stopped myself because I already have a lot of bottles and this one also doesn't last on me. I get around one hour of wear and it is such a shame. If it would last longer I would probably get it but since I rarely retouch my fragrance during the day this poor longevity seems like too big of a drawback, but still it is a very nice scent.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day

Empties

 Hello,

the first half of the month is already behind us and I seriously thought I would have more items finished up. There is a whole bunch of products hanging on their last legs which will be featured at the end of the month.

Teaology Matcha Latte body milk with Matcha Tea infusion and organic vegan milks is a lovely body moisturizer which I received free of charge when I bought my first face cream from them  (it is already used up and I already have a new one), the scent is the same, green tea like and very comforting and nice. It felt nourishing and my skin liked it but I didn't think it was anything too special, especially not for a bit higher price tag. Maybe I will get it again if I see it on sale but this 100 ml tube was finished up in just two weeks...that is a bit fast even for me.

Next is The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% toning solution. I heard a lot of good things about this type of acid in toners and I wanted to try it out. I haven't noticed and changes which I could pinpoint to this product, after a while it started to get pointless for me and I started to use it less regular and that helped my skin even less. I know I just got lazy with this item because I know I should use it regularly but my laziness got the best of me. I still have some bottles laying around that I have to use up and maybe this next one I will use as instructed.

I managed to finish up a  bottle of a fragrance. It is only a 20 ml version of Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume but still, this is a big deal for me because I have a lot of bottles. I really liked this scent but probably I won't repurchase it again because I have two other fragrances that smell similar but are even better to me (Armani In Love with You and Dior Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming).

This next item is a love of mine and I already have a backup of it. It is Alverde Dog Rose face oil. This little 15 ml bottle lasts for quite a while since I don't need a lot but it helps with my overall red tone of my face, it sooths and calms down my skin and I love it. Extra bonus is the nice rosey scent.

Second to last is The Body Shop Tea Tree pore minimizing face primer which is my very last tube of it because they don't make it anymore :( My skin is acne prone and using something with Tea Tree under my make-up makes my skin happy. I'm not 100% sure it helped fight off acne but it sure did have trick my brains and had a big psychological impact on me. I was sure I will buy this till the end of my days... my make-up also did look very nice on top of it. This doesn't feel like a regular silicone primer but rather like a face moisturizer, my skin afterwards did look a bit more matte but it didn't hold my oils at bay for long. As mentioned above, I liked the strong Tea Tree scent which triggered my brains into thinking that I'm using skincare under my make-up. If they ever come out with a similar sounding item I'm getting it immediately.

The very last item is Catrice LE lipstick (collaboration with Peta) in the shade Feel Good. A lovely mauve toned shade (my favorite  out of the three I had). I liked that it goes on pretty sheer but it can be intensified with an extra layer, it looks pretty glossy and juicy on the lips and it did nourish my lips for a while. I still used regular lip balm in between just so the color didn't build up too much but my lips looked happy using it.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day

Empties

 Hello,

I'm back with the last post for the year. Away with used up products and I'm ready to enter the new year with a new skincare routine and new scents.

Hopefully this new year will also bring some more peace and much needed rest for everyone.

First is this happy Avon senses wild Strawberry Dreams body wash. Happy because this scent was just lovely, Strawberries with cream, who doesn't like that? I would absolutely repurchase this one. The texture was a bit thicker, pudding like. I liked everything about it and it is already on my repurchase list.

This next product I just had to get because  I wanted to try all three products from this line. It is Neutrogena refreshingly clear daily exfoliator with pink grapefruit & vitamin C. It says that it is meant for daily use so expect thick gel with sparse but still somewhat big and abrasive particles. I almost forgot how mechanical scrub feels and I really have to say that I prefer more gentle version of enzyme or chemical ones. They don't feel like much but the next day the skin is baby soft. With this one my face turned a bit red, I have extra sensitive skin and in retrospect I didn't use it daily nor rub too vigorously. I'm glad that I'm done with it and I learned a lesson to not buy mechanical peelings any more (I did found one from Biore in my cabinet so I guess I will have to get through another one and then I'm really done with them).

Avon Planet spa Treasures of the Desert body butter with Moroccan argan oil was amazing. Scent wise it was creamy and comforting, perfect to apply before heading to bed. My skin liked the formula as well since it didn't get dry or itchy. It was great and I am sad to see it gone but I'm adding it to my list to repurchase it in the near future.

Avon Quantium for him fragrance was something I would wear for work a few years ago. Now I rediscovered it and instead of wearing it myself I would spray my apartment and it made it smell very warm and cozy. Quite perfect for cold weather on my day off when I could read all day and drink hot tea :)

I'm still a bit sad that Essence discontinued these shine, shine, shine lip glosses. My shade is Happines in a bottle. It was brown toned color with no shimmer. The scent is slightly fruity and the formula is extra juicy and glossy but I started to get sick of this shade so I'm super happy to see this one being finished. While this one is gone, I still have five more bottles of different shades to go through.

Essence smoothie gloss in Sweet Peach variable was also a really lovely product and also already discontinued. They had a few different ones and this one was the most modest, shade wise. Light peach shade with true peach scent and the tube was super convenient to use on the go.

In the pot is my beloved Nivea lip butter. This is my last one (out of the four) that I had and I will miss it. It had great formula which kept my lips moisturized and nourished. I would use it at night (yes, it is tinted but I didn't care for that) and in the morning my lips were really nice. I don't know why they had to discontinue these, they were amazing.

Last are two Catrice Sheer Beautifying lip balms in Flirty Rose and Sheer you up. One a bit lighter while the other one more rose/brighter toned. The last one was my favorite among the two but still I would not repurchase them because they weren't moisturizing at all. After a couple of reapplications my lips were dry so I had to make sure I had a separate lip balm with me to properly treat my lips but at least the shades were nice :)

Thank you for reading and have an amazing new year :)

Empties

Hello,

I'm still here just a bit distracted. I am aware that this month has been a really dry for my blog but it is what it is. I will try to get back on track and blog more next month.
But till the next time here are some empties that I keep accumulating...

Zara Green Apple and White Freesia body spray was the very last bottle from the trio that I owned. In the last year I got super excited about fragrances (especially designer) and I'm trying to finish up my older, cheaper ones and to use any body sprays that I have because they don't make me happy anymore. This particular one was fresh and flowery at the same time. I would say Spring in a bottle. It smelled like a fresh morning. The nature is bursting in white blooms and the distant green notes gives it naturalistic appeal. The fragrance didn't last on me for long (it is a body spray after all) so I was coating myself with it and was able to finally finish it up. I love my rich, sweet scents but this one was a nice departure.

The next fragrance is Avon Outspoken Fresh by Fergie perfume which is also super old. I started to notice that this scent would slowly go bad. When I would spray it in the last couple of weeks the scent at first wasn't pleasant so I wasn't using it on my body but rather as a room refresher. It was clean and fruity but I could never decipher of what kind of fruit it reminds me of. Some sort of a mix with some clean notes added to it. I used to really like it but now I didn't care for it anymore.

This is my second used up bottle of Beauty Glam clear skin serum with 2% Salycylic acid and I know that I said that I won't repurchase it again because I couldn't notice my skin loving it. It was only after I wasn't using it daily anymore (after I was finished and wouldn't have any backup) that my skin started to act up and not in a good way. There are a lot of factors involved but I believe not using this serum was also one of them. During the sale I picked up two more bottles so I don't ever need to be without of it.

Next item is another old one and it is Avon Advance Technique instant repair hair mist. It is supposed to help with damage but to me it was like water. Watery texture made my hair wet and after they dried they looked exactly the same. I have to take in account the age of this product (it is for sure a couple of years old) but if I tried it when it was brand new and I couldn't see the difference... I see why I put it  in a dark corner and forget about it.

On the top is Avon true ageless overnight gel which I was super excited to try out ever since it came out. It is a proper gel texture which stays a bit sticky and full of bronze and gold bubbles which break when you massage them but the 'wrapping' doesn't dissolve so the next morning I would find these gold rubbery substance everywhere (on my skin, hair, PJ, sheets, floor...) plus I notice my skin breaking up and after quit using it, healing my skin and start applying it onto my freshly cleansed face just to see acne reappear... not a cream for my skin unfortunately. I finished it up on my legs and I'm happy to throw this packaging away.

The very last item is this big red jar of  Rituals Honey touch body butter with Indian Rose & Himalayan Honey. I completely forgot about it and I was super scared that it already went bad (it didn't). It smells very nice, like a luxurious lotion with a hint of Rose. The scent is not mild but I can't put my finger on how it smells like but I know it is very comforting and snugly. Perfect to cover my entire body with it and roll in bed.

Empties

Hello,

I like this collection from Avon naturals Raspberry & Hibiscus (it smells really nice, just like if I rolled in Raspberries) and this is hair mist to just add the scent to the hair. Since I started to use perfumes regularly this started to get unnecessary. I started to use it after using dry shampoo to get rid of the white cast and it helped to prevent white residue. I'm happy that I found a way to use it and that it is finally used up. I will no longer buy it because there is no need for it but I will for sure buy the shampoo and the conditioner from the same line.

Next is this Aveo Harmony hand cream that my mom gifted to me. It has a lovely scent of Violets and the formula isn't that bad. I still prefer the Avon Care hand creams but this is also very nice formula and they always have plenty of different scents to pick from. It helped to prevent dry skin and nourish my hands, you only have to be careful not to apply too much because then it won't absorb and your hands will be left all sticky.

This dry shampoo was an impulse purchase a while ago. It is from 'new' brand Langhaar Mädchen. They have lovely packaging and I also tried (smelled) their hair oil and it smells delicious but I decided that I don't need it at the moment but instead I got myself this dry shampoo and I could not be happier. The scent is kind of hard to describe it is very soft powdery-floral but it still makes a punch but the formula is what makes this one great. It has a very light white effect and when you shake or comb your hair they just look matte (what you wanted) and it doesn't change the color that much which is an absolute bonus. If I compare it to the popular Batiste they have more scents and are stronger but also the white cast is more obvious with the Batiste brand. So if you want something barely there go for this Langhaar Mädchen brand but if you prefer to switch out the scents then go with the Batiste. I think I will still buy from both brands (I can't forget the Batiste Peony scent but I prefer the formula of LM brand).

Next tube is the sad one :( In the past I have already used one and since I liked it so much I bought a set of this lotion and the fragrance. Unfortunately I have waited too long and this lotion went bad. It is Avon Perceive body lotion. The scent is powdery white flowers. Like clean cotton shirt that has been dried outside on the white flowers field, if that makes sense. I still have the 30 ml bottle of the perfume and for now that will have to be it. For a while now I'm not planing on buying new lotions since I have so many but if my taste won't change after I go through what I have I will probably buy it again but then I will make sure to use it up completely shortly after getting it.

Another Avon Perceive product and this one is the Oasis fragrance. To me it smelled like fresh cut Roses. Scent of Roses mixed with green notes, like a fresh cut bouquet. I used to really like scent like that but now I prefer something heavier and sweeter. I have been layering it and also using it as a room spray.

Another fragrance will leave my space and this one I liked even better than the one before. It is Avon Passion Fruit scentini fragrance. I know they have a bunch of these and they encourage you to buy more and layer them. I had quite a lot of them but at my recent decluttering I gave all of them away and kept only this fruity one. It is called Passion Fruit and that is how it smells like. Very fruity and at first it is also very strong. It doesn't have that much citruses added so it is not zingy but on a creamier side. Even though I'm not into super fruity scents this one still warm up my heart.

The very last items is this Rimmel London Stay Matte face powder in Transparent. After trying it a couple of times I fell in love with it and soon I found them on sale and bought a bunch of them as backups (I think I have five or six more ;). It performs very well on my oily skin. I like how it keep my natural oils at bay for longer and even when I reapply it at work it doesn't look cakey. Those two reasons are enough for me to go and buy multiples. I still love my Catrice all matt face powder but I got this Rimmel one for less  ;)

Thank you for reading and have a nice day
