Cream eye shadows

 Hello,

recently I again got interested in eyeshadow pencils. One and done kind of shadows which are supposed to be easy to apply, but soon enough I discovered that is not the case for me.

I picked out three online so while I thought all the shades should look similar, I wanted a cool toned taupe/bronze but  didn't quite succeeded :) online swatches can be deceiving.

In order they are Artdeco high performance in Pearl brown, Gosh mineral waterproof in Brown and 3ina the 24h eye stick in Cool brown.

Artdeco one is warm toned brown, Gosh is more golden than anything else and 3ina is the only cool toned taupe/brown and color wise is my favorite. On the picture you sadly can't see the true beauty of it since it has lavender hue in it and it shines beautifuly.

After wearing them for a few days I have noticed that only the Gosh one stays put, the other two crease badly even with the primer first. I gave them to my sister and kept the warm golden one, but the shade doesn't fit me that well (I am no longer loving gold on my lids) I prefer cooler tones so it is possible that I will get rid of this one too but only because of the shade.

I don't find cream shadows in stick format to be easier to use. If applied directly from the stick it deposits uneven amount and it can build up and looks bulky, I prefer applying it on the back of my hand and apply it with my finger but transfering it from my hand to my lid a lot of pigment gets lost. Applying it with the brush brushed directly from the stick doesn't help ether because they are too dry...

I still prefer to use powder shadows ether with the brush or my finger. My desire to own cream shadows in a stick format has been crushed. After trying these I no longer want them :) I will stick to my 'regular' powders and I will be much happier.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day
