Nudestix hydra-peptide lip butter

 Hello,

recently I picked up hunger for the brand Nudestix. At one point I had more than 20 products in my online basket just from them and since I have never tried anything from them, I thought that I have to start with baby steps. First I tried only one of the balms below and since I liked it enough I later purchased the trio that I am showing below. The price was right because I have received one almost for free opposed buying them one by one.

The set is called nude juicy plump lips (there is also a shimmery set available and maybe I already have that one too ;) and it contains three Nudestix hydra-peptide lip butters in Sugar Plum, Pink Kiss and Dolce Nude. They are large 15 ml tubes and are full sized products. If you buy them in a set, you just commit to all three shades.

These have 'regular' slanted tip which I really like. I am used to it but I also think it works. Every once in a while the tip and screwing mechanism have to be wiped because if not it starts leaking (I learn that the hard way, but keep in mind I already finished one tube up completely and I was carrying it around with me for months).
What surprised me the most is that every shade also has a different scent, some of them more unique than other but I think it is a really nice touch.
They are all very glossy and shiny, very much to my liking.

Here they are again in order shown below, the tube color doesn't match perfectly to the color of the product.

First is Sugar Plum which is plum toned with brown tones. On my lips I noticed that the pigment migrates down and it looks like I am wearing a darker lip liner (on the swatch you can see that one side is a bit deeper and it also appear like so on my lips after some wear time). The issue is solved just by pressing my lips together and it is okay. The color is a bit deep but I actually really like it on me but using a mirror is a must for me. The scent/taste is sweet berry which reminds me of candy or sugared plum, a bit unexpected with a cooling minty feeling but very refreshing. Literally and figuratively since I have never tried minty/cooling lip product with fruity scent.

Next is Candy Pink a soft neutral pink shade which is sheer and perfect to apply on the go, no mirror needed. This is also the one that I purchased first and it convinced me to buy this trio afterwards (this Candy Pink shade is now a repeat in my collection, but a little hands up, I have already used it up ;). This one has a typical vanilla-mint scent/taste, it is nice but a bit expected. Here it is the shade that I really like and in the Summer time this one was constantly in my pocket.

Last one is Dolce Nude with a super warm nude tone and loads of golden shimmer. Particles aren't noticeable if I press my lips together but here is the shade a bit of an issue for me. I personally just don't like such warm nudes on me but I can get around it if I apply a small amount but then I loose juiciness/glossy touch. The scent here is like caramel or freshly baked cookies, very nice and Winter appropriate but I just don't see myself repurchasing it. I probably will slowly use it up but will not be buying this shade again.

Empties

 Hello,

bellow are my massive August empties. I had to split them between two post since it was too big of a batch to show in just one.

I used up another tube of Neutrogena oil free moisturiser which is my everyday morning lotion under my make-up. I love the light texture which quickly absorbs and leaves no trace just hydrated skin and it doesn't greases me out. I have already purchased two more tubes.

Big tall blue bottle is Pantene hair biology cleansing & reconstructive shampoo. It was nicely creamy and it foamed up nicely. The scent was also very nice, floral and fruity but also fresh (very appropriate for a clean hair scent). I have a greasy skin and scalp so this one really removed all the buildup but didn't strip my hair. I ended up really liking it especially with the matching mask.

In the same light blue tone there is a big pot of Pantene hair biology cleansing  & reconstructive mask. The scent is the same and it is very nice, I wonder if they make a hair spray as well. I know I would get it. The mask was thick and it gripped to my hair while I would shave. I tried to keep it on for as long as possible and my hair were soft and hydrated afterwards. It was not the most hydrating mask that I have tried but it was nice especially for the low price, not bad at all and I would get this duo again.

On top there is Some by Mi Yuja Niacin dark spot correcting stick. I really liked the simplicity of a stick which softly glided over my skin like butter. I fortunately don't have super dark spots anymore but even those spots that I did accumulate and weren't too deep were diminished pretty fast. I liked the effect and the stick format.

Another brightening product from the Some by Mi brand. This is a mini and it was a gift with purchase Galactomyces pure vitamin C glow serum. I wasn't light as water but it also wasn't sticky, the consistency was right for a pipette application and it was quickly absorbed. I like to incorporate some brightening agents into my routine so I will probably buy a bigger bottle of it and alternate with the stick mentioned above.

Next to it in the pink bottle is The Body Shop vitamin E cooling gel mist. It looks like a aloe vera gel but there is enough liquid in it to spray out. I haven't noticed any cooling and extra hydration. I even took it with me on a vacation and it felt like a regular toner, nothing too special. The scent was non existent but if some of it landed on my lips it had a bitter taste so I tried to avoid getting in on there.

While getting the cooling mist I also got The Body Shop vitamin E gel moisture cream. It was pretty light but I was surprised that it was even too light for my greasy skin. It sinked in quickly but my skin was still pulling and it felt too tight. I used it up in combination with heavier lotions and I will not be buying these two from The Body Shop again.

In the pale tube with a mouse is Biobaza winter magic hand cream which I purchased last year but started using it in the summer time. It had this sweet wintery scent that I liked but the formula wasn't my favorite. It was heavy and did not sink into my skin, it left a greasy film over it and everything I touched was covered with my prints. I used it up as fast as I could and will not be buying it again.

Last two are Versache Crystal Noir body wash and body lotion tubes which I have receive with my bottle of perfume. I love the scent but in these two the smell is slightly different and slightly less pleasant. Body wash was fine, in the shower it lather and I liked it enough to use it up the body moisturiser was greasy and that is what I really didn't like on top of the odd scent. I was glad that I managed to finish them up and will not get any sets again. I would rather just get the bottle since the scent is the best.

Black Cherry

 Hello,

this lipstick I purchased last year and it took me almost a full year to finally try it out. I was just saving it since I consider it a more luxurious product but I decided to finally go through everything I own to see what I even have :)

It is Elizabeth Arden plush up lip gelato in Black Cherry. The packaging is really nice and different. To open it up you have to press down and push upwards on the front brand name and the lipstick case jumps out :)

It is true to its name since it is very dark and somewhat plum colored. I personally really like these cool tones shades but I hoped to be very glossy and sheer, to just tint my lips a bit. It is in fact a full coded lipstick with a lot of pigment but it does apply patchy and somewhat glossy.

This is rather a light swatch but if I try to go full on it gets patchy and uneven. I was a bit disappointed but I realised that it leaves a stain if left on my lips for a few minutes. Now I put it on, do my make-up as usual and when I am about to go to work I just blot my lips to reveal a cool stain. To nourish my lips I like to apply clear lip bam which doesn't disrupt the color. The stain sticks around for a few hours and then wears off evenly. I ended up really liking it but as a stain not as a lipstick :)

I am even thinking of keeping the packaging once I finish it off since it is very cool and fun to use.

Three lifter glosses

 Hello,

a little while ago these lip glosses were all the rage. Everyone had and loved them. I waited a bit for the craze to settle and also for prices to drop before getting my first. I first picked Moon and the other two followed.

Here I have three Maybelline lifter glosses in Moon, Gummy Bear and Bubblegum. Packaging is pretty large but they carry 'only' 5,4 ml of product.

I like the larger doe foot applicator which allows me to coat my lips completely with just one go. Moon was my first and it is the only one with shimmer out of the three. Scent is sweet caramel and there is slight taste which lasts only a few minutes.

Here are swatches in the same order. Moon has base color but on me it looks pretty natural. Shimmer is intense, not gritty but it reflects the light like crazy. It looks somewhat frosty and the end result is very nice. I didn't think that I will like it so much like I do.

Next is Gummy Bear which looks lovely pink in the tube but it is sheer, almost too sheer for my liking and I prefer glosses on the sheer side.

Bubblegum is brighter pink and the tone is lovely but it is almost too pigmented. If it would be up to me I would made Gummy Bear slightly more pigmented and Bubblegum slightly less but I would leave tones as they are since they are perfect for me.

I really like them but at the same time I don't think they are that special. The biggest minus is the poor longevity. I get around 45 min of wear time. Shimmer in Moon stays for a bit longer but the shine is gone. If I find them on sale I would maybe get more shades but for the full price I will not be getting them. There are just soo many glosses that I want to try out and possibility of them having longer staying power is tempting.

musical rabbit

 Hello,

I have really feel into a rabbit hole with Asian make-up and all of their cute stuff. This pink stylo lip gloss is just one example of it.

I could not resist Gege bear flower garden rabbit solid lip gloss. Mine is in the 02 shade (I have to admit that I have picked the wrong color, I wanted to get one of the pinks...).
They all feature a rabbit, mine is a musician.

Product comes in a cute heart shape and you click it to get it out. It is very soft so I try to get as little as possible and I still make a mess since some of the product gets pushed aside and ends up being a bit messier than I thought.

Most of the shades are pink and I think I picked the only not pink shade and it was by mistake :(
On the swatches online it looks like it is going to be really juicy, like real lip gloss but mine is more like a creamy lipstick and an orange tone to top it all off. I feel like warm nudes and oranges don't look very nice one me so this shade is a bit of a fail for me. It is not terribly wrong on me but I would prefer the pinkier tone.

First swatch is heavy and next to it I tried to make it more light and it is also my preferred way to wear it. It is easy to get too much product on and since it is very pigmented reapplying it in front of a mirror is a must. My lips were hydrated (noting too crazy) but still they weren't dry after a whole day of wearing it.
The scent is somewhat sweet grape with a touch of plastic note (nothing too intense, just a whiff).

If I was expecting a full blown lipstick this wold be nice but it was advertised as a gloss and it just isn't shiny enough to be that.
Second disappointment comes from the shade but that is entirely my fault.
I still like the packaging, the sweet grape scent and that it doesn't dry out my lips. I will use up my guitar playing rabbit but I will not be buying more of his friends.

empties

Hello,

these are my July empties and there are a handful of items.

In the summertime my hair get greasier faster so I used dry shampoo between washes a bit more. This Batiste Blush option is one of my favorites. If I don't shake it well or put too much in one area it can make my hair look a bit too dull but if I am careful this one really works well. This scent as mentioned is one of my favorites.

Next is Ahava mineral botanic velvet body lotion in the Lotus & Chestnut option. I actually purchased it for my sister since she mentioned that she likes it but I bought the wrong one... she was talking about a different scent... at the end I decided to keep it and use it myself. It had a light lovely scent and it did nourish my skin. I liked it a lot but I think it is a bit pricey.

I have ordered this set from Just last year and only now I got to use it. It has Argan and Cedar ingredients and scent. Top is a body wash and bottom is body butter. The scent is a bit masculine but I liked that. Body wash was nothing to special and I used it up rather quick but the butter was thick and whipped. A little went a long way and my skin felt nice after using it. If this would still be available I would get the butter again.

This mini Urban Decay all nighter spray was a gift with purchase and I had hight hopes. The sprayer was nice but I noticed that my face would get greasy faster than usually. I don't mean that it is bad, just taht I have found better.

I am talking about this Catrice ultra last fixing spray which keeps my make up in place for longer and I don't get as greasy. I stopped counting which bottle this is but probably I have gone through ten already and I still have about ten backups. The price is also better than the UD one.

Bottle with the pump is Avon advance technique silky smooth hair oil. This was my second or third bottle of it and I still like it a lot. I would put it on freshly washed hair while still slightly damp and they would dry with less frizz and smoother. If needed I would occasionally put them on dry hair as well but I had to be careful not to make them too oily. I would get this one again.

Empty tube is The Body Shop Petal Rose hand cream. Nice floral scent and almost gel texture which was quick to absorb but it wasn't hydrating enough. They have different scents within the line which fit my dry hand better.

Little pink pot is The Body shop vitamin E moisture cream which felt very light. I remember having one before (gel format) and I liked it more... this is probably different version and I didn't find it hydrating enough even though it did absorb quickly. I will not be buying it again.

I have been wanting to try these Fresh balms for at least two years now. I have seen them on someone and I couldn't get them out of my head. Finally I gave in and pay the rather hefty price for only 6g of product but the product inside is so worth it. The fruity mango scent (I am not sure how mango scent smells like but this could it be it, it is fruity :) and it glides effortless. I don't love the yellow/orange hue of the product because it can look wrong (like I have been eating eggs but forgot to wash). Mostly I was wearing it to bed and the next day my lips were hydrated and soft. I tottaly got myself a new one, this time in Coconut version :)

Catrice HD baking & setting loose powder in the 01 shade. It looks white and also gives a bit of a white cast if I wasn't careful. This one, I think, is my first loose powder and while it is messy it also worked well with my extra oily skin. I am using their HD liquid foundation with this mattifying powder on top and Catrice fixing spray (mentioned above) and at the end of the day my make up looked still presentable. I was very happy with this powder but they discontinued it :(. before it was completely gone I purchased two white ones and two 03 shades (02 which would probably be my match was sold out) so now I am mixing the white and colored powder together to get the right mix :)

Out of eleven used up products I would get 6 of them again but for the other 5 I have no sorrows.

Soft Berry

 Hello,

I recently purchased a lot of Asian make-up. I had my eyes on most of the items for a while and when I took a plunge I also purchased some 'random' items, meaning I saw them and I wanted them :) no longing for a lot of time but after seeing them the first time they caught my attention and my credit card was ready ;)

These two are from Peripera Soft Berry limited edition caught my eyes for both of the reasons. Blush was an instant love but lippie was on my wish list for a while.

Blush is pure blushed sunshine cheek in Strawberry Pink and lippie is ink mood glowy tint in the Happy Berry option.

Strawberry Pink blush looks like strawberry milkshake shade. Pretty pastel pink, it is very soft to the touch and actually blurring.

Berry Pink tint has a matching strawberry on top to tie it to the collection. I find it very cute.

Applicator is your typical doe foot but the shade here looks a bit different than on my lips. My first thought was that it looks scary and nothing like the promo photos.
Thankfully it turns out different.

One cool toned photo to show the pale tone of the blush. I had to build up the color to even show up. I was scared if it will even show up on my cheeks but surprisingly it does pretty well, also the color doesn't looks so cool on me. It just gives a bit of life, blured finish is lovely and there is some glow. There is no shimmer but soft glow, maybe from the brightness of the color... I actually really like it on me, sometimes I put highlighter on top and sometimes I just go without it. Ether way I love it :)

Blush is barely visible here but the Happy Berry tint looks glossy. I love that it gives plenty of gloss which sticks around for about an hour or hour and a half. It leaves a natural and even tint all over my lips, which is quite rare for me. Color is more realistic on the first cool toned photo. It reminds me of a dried rose or like a muted coral nude. It is a hard to describe color but it looks very natural on me. I would guess it is the sheerness of it and it looks like a bit of gloss over my lips, my boyfriend didn't even noticed :)
I can even reapply and it looks beautiful so I went ahead and ordered another shade :)

These two were a total success. I love them both even though after swatching I didn't feel so good about them :)
I already got another stain in a cool toned pink and I can't wait to get it and now I am also thinking about the other blush shade from this collection which is a nude one and I think I will eventually get it. Total success with these two.
