Hello,
this little palette intrigued me for months, I live for cool toned neutrals and I hoped that this one will be the next best thing after sliced bread...
It is Rom&nd Better Than Eyes eye shadow quad in Dry Buckwheat Flower. In the description it said that it is cool toned and that was the reason I purchased it. On some swatches it looks cool and on some brown and sparkly shade looked warm toned... I decided to take a risk.
After seeing it in person I still think it leans warm, first shade is of a very surprising tone rest of them are kind of expected.
First is ivory but cool toned shade, like if they added a drop of grey in it. very unusual, on my arm it is barely visible but on my eyes it is slightly deeper and cooler than my skin tone and I love putting it all over the lid as a light base and then just let it be or I can layer something else on top. This one is my favorite.
Second is medium brown with undertone leaning warm, not particularly orange but still warm. It is nice for deepening outer corners but I wish they would replace it with something true cool toned.
Third shade is the only shimmery and this one to leans warm, it is golden but not yellow. I like it full on like on the swatch but I love it when I just dab it on the lid and it looks like scattered glitter, very nice accent color.
Last is deeper brown with some warmth in it as well, for me this one is only liner but it is nice because it is dark enough to line and accentuate but still warm enough to differentiate from my usual black/grey.
This little palette set the bar really high, pigmentation and longevity wise. I love reaching for it and I enjoy using it.
Thank you for reading and have a nice day
