Catrice matt pro ink non-transfer liquid lipsticks

Hello,

this post is long overdue (like many others) especially because I got them as a PR gift when they came out. Now they aren't as 'fresh' but they are still interesting and worth looking into, at least in my opinion.

I received these Catrice matt pro ink non-transfer liquid lipsticks in Courage Code and I choose Passion.

The applicator is squashed and carries a lot of product, if you have big lips that is great but for us smaller gals... still it is not a big thing, I just wipe it off and adjust the right amount.
P.S. I noticed that my lips are very ticklish and when I am applying product like this and trying to touch my lips lightly it tickles me like crazy  :)  Anyone else with a similar 'problem'?

The colors are very pigmented and at first look like something I would not choose myself but then again, I am not a big fan of liquid lipsticks ether, so I was sceptical to say the least. I tip toed and tried them on lightly, with just a thin coat and that is also my preferred way to use them, more like lip stains...

They dry pretty fast and I have to be swift but also very careful, once I go over the lines it is very hard to remove/cover up.
Courage Code is very interesting brick red shade that looks amazing on me (my humble opinion) especially when I use a very light hand and super thin coat.
Dusty Rose is in the shade called I choose Passion. I like that isn't too bright but this shade reminded me of something else...

This L'oreal rouge signature liquid lipstick in the shade I Rule is very similar but the formulas are quite different. I have a full review of it here.

Here you can see that the I Rule is less pigmented, more liquid and therefore more manageable than the I choose Passion from Catrice.

I know that here they don't look that similar but I used one of them on one half of my lips and the other on the other side and shades looked super similar. The difference was with the L'oreal side that the shade was a bit less bright and not so dry (it takes quite a few minutes to completely dry) while Catrice one was dry instantly and a bit more vibrant.

Just because Catrice ones are more pigmented you have to be extra careful to apply them evenly and a couple of minutes after application they feel a bit sticky. When they dry they still leave a bit of a print on the glass but if I'm careful it is not too bad. On me if I apply too much it settles into my lines but a bit of rubbing them together disperses it nicely again (because they aren't completely matte). I like to tap a bit of lip balm over it because it is dryer formula and can feel a bit uncomfortable. A bit of color however always transfers onto my lip balm. I would say that they are nice semi matte liquid lipsticks, especially for people who don't like full on matte and dry lips. If I wouldn't have the L'oreal one I would totally keep both but since I prefer the L'oreal one a tad better I decided to pass the similar shade from Catrice I choose Passion to my sister but the Courage Code will stay with me at least for a while now.

I Rule

Hello,

I have bought this liquid lipstick during the last Black Friday (I think) or was there another sale? It has been so long that I don't quite remember...

L'oreal rouge signature liquid lipstick in the shade I Rule.
The packaging is clean and sleek, the tube closes with a sturdy click so I really don't think this could spill in my purse when I carry it around.

It smells a bit like wet paint but that fades away fast and it doesn't bother me too much.
The applicator is so darn cute, wouldn't you say? I love the pointy tip which allows me to paint the product very precisely onto my lips and I don't make a mess.
I would like to point the darker color of the applicator itself and the lighter color of the product. The product freshly applied does look lighter but when it dries it is darker and brighter (a bit deeper then the wand but still quite bright). I only have this one shade I Rule and can't say if they all do this with the color, if they will come out with some more 'me' shades I will consider buying some more ;)

The first swatch is freshly applied and it is quite liquid and it takes a while to dry down and even after a couple of minutes it still looks a bit shiny (imagine tapping a bit of lip balm over it, that is the intensity of the shine). Second swatch is made with less product and I let it dry completely so you can see that it can get much brighter but you can also apply more or less to achieve desired effect (I personally prefer a lighter coat but that is just me).

This is on my lips. I used very little product so it isn't as deep as it could get but that is how I like it on myself. I wanted you to see the 'sheen'. It looks like a have applied a bit of balm over it, right? I haven't and I love that it doesn't get all dry and cakey on me. It feels very comfortable and not drying at all. I was drinking (water and tea, no alcohol during the day for me ;) and it did leave a bit of a stain on my glass, not that much of a color but more of a clear print of my lips (the pigment stays on the lips, the extra moisture that is on top of the lips gets transferred). After a couple of hours I did reapply and it didn't disrupt the product that was left on my lips but it did looked darker and deeper. This shade stains my lips into a bright pink shade (rubbing them with oil helps to remove it). However it didn't quite survived eating. It looked a bit uneven (maybe I'm just a nasty eater ;) so I needed to reapply and again it looked very nice. I lightly patted some lip balm on top if I felt like my lips could benefit from some moisture and I was good.
I am very pleased with this lip product. It lasts much longer than my other colored lip products but isn't super drying or looks all crusty on my lips. It doesn't last as long as I expected to but I think for a more nourishing liquid lipstick that is fine plus you can easily reapply on top of what is left (some liquid lipstick you have to completely remove in order to apply fresh coat, not with this one).
I would get another shade if they would make something more neutral. I feel like there is a lot of bright or very dull shades, which is not my cup of tea but I will for sure stay on a look out for more.

P.S. Recently I have received the new Catrice Matt Pro Ink Liquid Lipsticks and I have already started to test the two shades and for sure I will compare them to this L'oreal one and I'm curious to see how they compare.

Cosnova gift

Hello,

I was once again surprised with amazing goodies from Essence and Catrice. Thank you very much Cosnova PR team, you are the best.

When I opened the box there was this new Essence bye bye panda eyes mascara with smudge proof formula. I can't wait to try this claim up and let you know all about it.

This Essence bloom baby, bloom eye shadow palette is a very colorful and at first I wasn't sure I would use it but maybe I will feel adventurous and just go with all the beautiful colors. You only live once ;)
The second Essence the nude edition eye shadow palette looks more like my cup of tea. I was in the store and actually checked this and the other rose version out very thoroughly and the only reason why I didn't jumped on it was that I already have plenty neutrals and I wanted to wait for some reviews but now I don't need to wait, I can just dive into it :)

Last are the two also new items from Catrice matt pro ink non transfer liquid lipsticks and this collection of liquid lipsticks is supposed to stay permanent (I wonder which products will have to leave to make room for these?). I received I choose passion (dusty rose) and Courage code (rusty red?). I have such a hard time describing this dark shade... on the lips it looks more on the red side (yes, I have already tested these two out and first impression is actually pretty, pretty nice...).

Thank you Cosnova team

Empties

Hello,

up till today I finished quite a lot of products or at least decided to part with them. Now I am starting to feel ready for Autumn especially because my skin is getting more and more dry and I'm falling back in love with heavier, cozier scents.

Afrodita's Great Burdock hair oil. I love this thing. You apply it onto desired area and voila hair will start growing after three or four uses. I use it on my brows, lashes (I am careful that I don't get it in my eye) and  scalp. I even got my mom and sister hoked up on it, if you can get it I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Avon makes this FullSpeed men cologne that is fresh and orange-y at the same time. A couple of years ago I was really into men scents and would buy a lot of them for myself but I outgrew that faze and prefer more feminine scents now. I still like it but mostly I used it in my car as a car spray.

I bought this Victoria's Secret hydrating body lotion in Love Spell scent right after they started to sell their products here in Slovenia but I never got used to the sweet, gummy bear scent. Just recently I picked it up again and while I'm still not super into the scent I found combo that I liked. I would moisturize with cacao butter and apply this on top. That scent combo is delight and was very comforting and calming. If I would have issues with sleeping this would solve them right away.

Colab makes nice dry shampoos in my opinion. No white residue, no stickiness but I have to use a little more than usual to get the job done. When I used up the first bottle (this is the second on of this scent) I thought that I found my kind of dry shampoo but I since discovered more brands that I like better. They are cheaper and with less product I get the same result. I love the Unicorn scent but I won't be picking it again.

Balea makes a lot of LE scents and this one was one of them. Cheers to Life is a slightly creamy body wash and it is described to have vanilla and citrus scent bu to me it smells more like a pomegranate fruit and I loved it so very much that I would buy it a hundred times more if I could.

Avon Advance Technique micellar technology color correcting shampoo without sulfates. It was something new and I was eager to try it even though I don't dye my hair nor I have any prejudice against sulfates. It didn't foam so I ended up using a lot more than usually and I also noticed that if I put some oil in my hair before washing this shampoo wasn't able to get it out so the products were just building it up and my hair didn't look nice or clean. I'm so happy that I'm done with it and I will never ever buy it again.

Another tube of my beloved L'oreal Infallible 24-h matte foundation in the shade 11 Vanilla is gone. I love the tone (it is a bit too dark for me but a lightening drops saves the day), high coverage and matte look so much that I only buy this foundation. I'm already using my next tube and I am already on a lookout for some sales to stock up.

Next I have two liquid lip powders from Catrice that I bought at the beginning of this year but I never got around to review them here. The main reason being that I don't like them. Metal matt liquid lip powder in Frame of Roses looks lovely and the ultra matt liquid lip powder in Will you Berry Me? looks very uneven on the lips and accentuates the dry areas. The Frame of Roses is able to cover the dry patches better because of the shimmer but I hate the dry feeling on my lips. That has got nothing to do with the actual product but with my personal preference. I am simply more of a lip gloss kind of gal and matte liquid lipsticks just don't float my boat.

The very last item is just a sample but the shade is too good not to include it here. It is Avon Caressing Coral lipstick from years and years ago. I am tossing it away because it has definitely went bad but the shade had me. I had a couple samples of the same color and this one is the very last one. I loved wearing it especially on the days when I wasn't feeling the best because this bright number always cheered me up and make me look more awake and presentable. I would happily buy myself a lipstick in this shade if I could find it, any suggestions?

thank you again Cosnova team

Hello,

jet again Cosnova team managed to sweep me off my feet. They asked me if I would like to try some of their new products and since I liked the new collections I agreed. I thought I will get two or three items, they send me whole bag of goodies.

It is not hard to miss the two golden products from the Catrice soleil d'ete collection. The main theme is gold and everything evolves around enhancing that Summer tan (I don't have it jet). I received the beautiful Metal Muse five pan eye shadow palette (neutrals with a pop of peach and soft pink). The lipstick doesn't have a sticker with the name on it so I'm just guessing for now which shade I got, I believe it is Nude Metal Mood. It looks like a liquid metal with tons of subtle shimmer, I'm getting a very strong 90' vibe from it (frosty and always shimmery brown nudes).

The most colorful and fun looking are the Essence Cubanita products. I received the cutest livin' la vida banana bag which makes me smile every time I see it. Highlighter, Mi Corazon, is indeed huge (bigger than the eye shadow palette). It has that fake sweet scent that some people like but I don't. It is only noticeable when I open it up, after I apply it on my cheeks it is gone. Pink tinted lip balm, Bienvenida a Palm Beach, looks adorable with its palm tree print and it is another one of those color changing products. I like the anticipation of waiting to see what the color will look like and I can't wait to try it on. The last item from this LE is wet look lip lacquer in the shade Kisses from Havana. It is that purple color which in theory looks amazing but I'm not so sure how it will turn on me. I will try it on and report back.

The very last item is actually my first L.O.V. item, They send me one of their new fatal muse liquid matte lipstick. Let me tell you that even the packaging looks high end (at least to me, I don't have any high end products to compare but just comparing with the rest of my 'collection' this one looks expensive). I got the shade Provocative Confidence. This is my first liquid lipsticks and I wish they would choose somethong more neutral for the first time but then again maybe I will fell in love and it will turn into one of my 'special occasion' lipsticks.

Thank you Slovenian Cosnova team for surprising me once again. My vacation is approaching and I will have more time to test all of these products and enjoy some time on the sun.
