Camouflage cream

Hello,

this concealer made quite a stir when it launched and it is still considered as one of the best high coverage concealers for such a low price. Its reputation made me buy it but not until recentl I started to use it and here are my thoughts about it.

Catrice camouflage cream in the shade Ivory. The product is housed in a little pot but I appreciate the big opening where I can stuff my finger in even when I have long nails. Mine shade is pretty yellow toned which in theory is great for the under eye area, but how did it perform?

(Just in case if you were wondering what is that dot in the product, mine has a little air bubble in there, nothing gross). The product is extremely creamy and it is hard to get just a little bit. The pigmentation is amazing and it can cover almost everything.

Here it is on the back of my hand and you can see its yellow tone. It took me quite a while to finally figure it out how to use it and make it work for me. My skin, especially under eye area has to be moisturized (applied directly on the dry skin will make it crease and it makes me look much older) so it forces me to use a lot of eye cream which at the end isn't a bad thing. I feel I can use it also on the rest of my face since I do have yellow undertone but I have to use it underneath a BB cream or foundation. If I put it on top it just mess everything up, I would blame the thicker opaque formula for it.
So, first I moisturize my face, apply primer and then I cover all the nasty spots with this baby and then I follow with current BB cream or foundation. I do love this concealer very much, even better than Misslyn creamy concealer, only because this Catrice one has more coverage and at the moment my skin need it. Probably I will try the Liquid camouflage from Catrice which is the same type of concealer but in a lip gloss form so I think it would be creamier and it wouldn't emphasize dry area under my eyes.

sun protection

a while ago I bought new sun cream for my face. I can never get it right. Usually they are always to greasy. They make my skin even oilier and they also make me break out. Finding the right protection can be a real hassle. I took this one because it was on the cheaper side and it says on the tube that it has fluid like consistency and matte finish, all that made me think that it will be less greasy.

So, the brand is Lavazon and the products name is sonnen fluid mattierend SPF30. I really had high hopes for it. The scent is typical which I actually like. The texture is a bit more liquid so the name fluid has a point. When applying it to my face I didn't noticed that it would be too white, just a little like any other cream but nothing too much. At first it goes on matte but if you want to apply proper amount of cream it gets complicated. My skin somehow just couldn't absorb it and I started to glow right after applying it. The next time I tried with less and it worked better but after two-three hours my face looked like a light bulb. After using it for the whole week my skin broke out and four huge pimples appeared and I blame this sun cream for it.
Unfortunately this product doesn't work for my sensitive skin but thankfully I found the one from Holika Holika which thick all the boxes for me.

Black waterproof mascara

I have a confession to make. I have never tried waterproof mascara before in my life. This one is the first and I bought it to test it in the hot summer days but unfortunately the weather drastically changed but it is getting warmer and I get hot at work so I think I properly tried it out anyway.

For the first one I wanted to get mascara I'm familiar with so I got one of my favorites in waterproof version. This one is by Avon and it is their Super shock max in black (it's sister super shock one is best seller but I prefer this one).

It has rubber bristles which I like and there are tons of little spikes which combs through and individualize and elongates every lash. I think it gives a really natural but enhanced look but of course you can layer it and make it more dramatic. When it comes to the formula of this particular one I found it is very watery. Almost always I ended with a goopey stuck together lashes and I really didn't like it. I blame it one the wet formula so I left it open for a bit. Not to long just enough to evaporate the excess of water and now it is perfect. It doesn't flake on me and I can also use it on my lover lashes which always smudge but not with this baby.
I'm extremely happy with my purchase. I sometimes use it on its own or on top of my regular mascara and especially on my lover lashes. At first it was a bit too wet but since I let it dry a little it has become perfect. I don't know if I will ever be found without it.

Missha bb cream

I finally found some time to properly test this Missha signature complexion coordinating bb cream with SPF 43. I had some time off and I prefer to test risky products (bb creams, foundations, primers, concealers...) when I don't need to go anywhere so it save me some embarrassing moments when products don't work out for me.

This tube contains 20 ml of product, it is pretty small but if you are not sure if the product will work for you I think it is better to start with smaller packaging.

This is a bb cream but the product that comes out is white. Very surprising and odd. It has tiny pigments which starts to burst on your skin. Probably they are activated by warmth of your skin and rubbing.

Here you can see how it starts to change. At first when I dot it on my face I was a bit sceptical but soon it started to mimic my skin tone and adapt to my skin tone.

It matches my hand and my paler face but it is very dewy, I don't mind that but it feels like a heavy duty sun block which on the other hand I don't like. You know those sun creams from the past (probably they are still around) which were very heavy and were waterproof? Well, that is exactly how this one feels. It creates barrier on my skin and lots of shine. It is not very long lasting, after a couple of hours when it really gets mixed with my natural oils I look like a light bulb.
I feel like I have to mention opacity as well. I thought I will get at least medium coverage but this bb cream does not provide any. Every flaw, blemish, discoloration was still there just more pronounced because of the extreme shine (think of a glowing highlighter all over the face).
I think they had in mind perfect Asian skin when they were creating this one. I tried it also as a primer under other bb creams with better coverage but no luck. Greasy texture screwed up with everything I put on top. Maybe I could use it on tops of my cheeks to achieve strobing effect (I'm not really into this trend but to use this product up I might just try it) otherwise I will use it as a sun cream in the summer on my chest and arms and be done with it.

27. NOTD

I'm a huge fan of rough finish on my nails. I love the texture since it is so different and touchable also they are very strong and perfect for when my nails are breaking. They are in a very bad state in the moment, so I had to use tape to glue them together and when I use textured nail polish you really can't see what is going on.

Catrice Royal Redding

I choose one out of two sand finish nail polishes that I own. This baby is from Catrice and it is named Royal Redding. When applying it looks very jelly like but when it dries the sand finish kicks in and you can spot lots of red glitter making it more special.

Here it is on the nails, I would say it is medium red shade but depending on the light it can look darker or brighter. For me this one is really fascinating and I'm a bit sad that they decided to discontinue it.

Roses on my face

today I would like to talk about one awesome product. I had older version of this already and ingredients list is almost identical. I was scared that this one won't work just like the old one but thankfully it turned out to be just as good as the old one.

Melvita fresh micellar water

So, I have been using this Melvita fresh micellar water for two weeks and results are already seen. I put a few drops on cotton pad and remove all make-up residue (I first use baby wipe then follow with face wash and as a third step I use micellar water). I really put it to the test because lately my skin started to misbehave and some acne showed up. I used this micellar water twice a day and after a couple of uses my skin started to clear up.
For me this product is forever repurchased, I know it is a bit expensive (15,30€) but so worth it. I checked their official page and they jet again changed the packaging, now the bottle isn't see through like mine but ingredient list is identical.
BTW, did I mention that it smells like fresh cut roses? Delicious.
I only wish they would reduce the price tag, other than that it is pure perfection.

Pink lips

Hello,

two days ago we were surprised by snow. Out of the bright blue sky white flakes started to fall and it got so cold that we had to shovel our way out to get to work and electricity was also out so I couldn't even use internet but today I have something really good for you.

Aldo Vandini Volume lip balm

This lip balm/gloss is by Aldo Vandini. I bought it a long time ago but started using it recently. I took two versions and the first one which was adorned with purple flowers and it was supposed to be moisturising was not good. Mediocre moisturising properties and horrible plastic taste just aren't my thing so I didn't had high hopes for this one.

This one is supposed to be volumizing which I haven't noticed but it has a lovely sweet scent but no taste what so ever. The packaging is just right, 10 ml, and the hole where the product comes out is nicely sized and angled applicator makes it easy to apply while on the go.

I know here it looks like bugger but on the lips it looks nice. It is pink with some pearl shine, no distinctive shimmer or glitter just pearly shine and I guess that is the volumizing part of the product. I have been using it all day and my lips are nourished and soft. I wish it would be glossier, juicier just like a proper lip gloss but it is still all right considering that this is actually a lip balm. It provides my lips with some shine but to maintain I have to reapply quite often. At the end I don't mind if the product really nourishes and keeps my lips from looking dry and flaky. I think that this is a nice little product for girls who like just a tad of color and soft, kissable lips  ;)
