Hello,
I'm back with another empties post. Yesterday it was only nail polish, today I have everything else.
First bottle is Avon Advance Technique Smooth as Silk conditioner. I used up shampoo from the same line last year but conditioners always take me longer to use up. This one was nice but nothing special and I wouldn't repurchase it even if it would still be available (they kept the oil from this line which is fantastic).
Next is Melvita hand cream with somewhat rose scent. There is something else mixed in but I can't point it out, to me it smells a bit fake and the texture was way too greasy for me so I was super happy when I used it up. I even cut the tube open and now I'm happy to toss it in the bid.
Batiste dry shampoo for blondes is next. I hate the scent but it works, I'm bothered a bit by powdery hair (when I brush my hair with my fingers they are all icky powdery) but for now I will let it slide. I already repurchased it but next time I will get one of the scented versions.
In front of it is Labello Coconut lip butter. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the brand. In the past I had some of their stick lip balms and they didn't impress me but I gave them another go with this one and I'm converted. This is fantastic, it smells like a real nut and not too strong. It is on the thicker side which means that it moisturizes them for longer but it can leave lips looking white. I don't mind it because I use it only at night when I go to bed. My lips were soft and nourished. Now I'm using something else and it is not even half as good so when I'm done with my stash I'm repurchasing this little gem.
Second to last is Skin 79 Orange BB cream with SPF 50. It only comes in one shade which is very light and yellow toned with high coverage (there is almost no need to use concealer on top) and matte finish. The only negative thing is that it is a bit harder to apply, I had to tap it on with my finger and that takes time. Around six months ago I figured that I can mix it with dewier BB creams and get true perfection. Now I have some other light BB creams that I have to go through but I will repurchase it as soon as I find it on sale (it is a bit expensive).
For last I saved the only item which isn't completely empty but I used only around half. It is Avon Color Trend Kiss Kiss lip gloss in a beautiful cherry red shade but unfortunately it went bad. It had lovely sweet scent but now it stinks and I have to get rid of it. Color Trend glosses are a bit thicker, due to high pigment and are also more long lasting and jet they remain glossy. Did I mention how inexpensive they are? Right now you can get them for 2 € only. I know I will get some more shades and probably this one again but first I have to go through a couple glosses that are already in my collection before they go bad.
Thank you for reading and have a nice day

Project polish
Hello,
last year I had so much fun using up my nail polishes, who thought that using the same colors over and over could be so much fun?
I used up 20 bottles (not counting clear base and top coats) and so I decided to continue this year with the same strategy.
In January I used up Essence Style me Love and Avon Color Trend Delicious Berry. They were both limited edition colors, released years ago.
Just recently I posted Style me Love shade and all I can say is that I used to like this shade much more, now I just wanted to use it up.
Delicious Berry was light pearly pink with a blue/purple shift which is something I don't like so in order to use it up I was using it as a base coat underneath other colors. I'm super happy to finally be done with it and I won't miss this shade one bit.
These two are the first to go and I'm already working on two other bottles and I think I will use them up soon.

Kiss Kiss
Hello,
I'm back with a lip product. Over the years I accumulated way too much and now I'm paying the price. I feel guilty when I buy something new because my old products are going bad :(
So, my goal is to use as much as possible and on the other end buy as little as I can. I decided to start using this gloss and finish it up this year and since it is still available I decided to show some swatches here and maybe someone will find them useful.
It is Avon Color Trend lip gloss in the shade Kiss (if I refer the name that they use in the brochure).
Because at the bottom of the tube it says Kiss Kiss, it is a bit confusing but still nothing too distracting. Two kisses are better than one, right?

The color is pretty straight forward, bright red even though while in the tube it looks darker. It has no shimmer particles but just a lot of shine.
The wand is pretty standard, easy to navigate and the scent is very pleasant vanilla like.
This baby is very pigmented and due to the slightly thicker texture (it is not sticky at all) you can wear it pretty comfortably, you don't need to worry about getting out of the lines of your lips. I never wore lip liner with it and it never ended on my chin or something embarrassing like that.
I tried a lot of red lip glosses (they are my weakness) and this one is among the cheaper ones and simply the best one I have tried. High coverage, no shimmer, stays put, fades evenly, leaves a bit of a stain and it lasts a couple of hours. The best red gloss ever, at least in my opinion and for my needs but I haven't been wearing it enough. I really tried to start using it on the regular base but I find out that the scent changed, the color and everything else is still the same but the scent is more like an old lipstick mixed with a crayon. Unfortunately, it went bad so I will have to toss it but after I will go through a couple of glosses I'm repurchasing it and then I will wear it every single week until I finish it up.

43. NOTD
Hello,
last year I decided to use up as many nail polishes as possible and at the end of the year I was so focused that I haven't used anything else from my collection. I cleared out 20 bottles and this year I'm starting fresh and I hope I will be just as successful as last year. My first bottle I am working on is also my first Essence limited edition nail polish.
Essence had this nails in style LE (it included only nail related products) and my shade is called Style me Love. It is a bright pink foil shade. I guess I used to love it but now I think it is okay. I'm not a fan of bright pinks but the shimmer in it makes it better.
On the nails it looks a bit darker but it is also very reflective and eye catching. I like the finish but in the future I will be avoiding the pink shades.

Essence wishlist of soon to be discontinued products
Hello,
it is happening. Essence announced which items will be leaving us and I was quick to scoop and make my own wishlist of products I would like to try before they are gone for good.
Surprisingly I could resist all of the lip products but I can't wait some of the new lippies to come out.
There are two mono eye shadows that caught my eye, both neutral but I have a felling I already have something similar, I will see if I need them after swatching them in the store. BTW, they decided to discontinue the entire 'the velvet' range. I only have one shade, Taupe Secret, and I love it and I'm under impression a lot of people like this line so why will they stop making it?
Next is super popular highlighter and Essence felt the need to stop making it. Why? I have never take the time to swatch it and see if it really is so amazing but if it will convince me I might pick it up but I have a felling they will be sold out before they will go on sale. I can already see all the girls stocking up.
And for last I saved some nail polishes. Last year I have been really good (I used up completely 20 bottles and bought only 9) so I might treat myself with some beauties. First is just gray but I don't have such a light grey color and I love these shades on my nails, I think it could easily get in my top 5 colors. The next two bottles are from the porcelains line (the entire line and also the whites are saying goodbye) and this cut was the hardest because I want nearly all of the shades but at the end I settled for two. Lavender which is my favorite shade to wear on my nails and mint, because I don't have that many.
This is my wishlist, did you already did yours? Or you will skip everything altogether and save your money for the new stuff?

Empties
Hello,
I started this year with a lot of rest and internet access troubles. My computer is getting old and slower, I know all that but no internet access? You are kidding me, I figured it out how much I need internet in my everyday life, I could say even that I'm addicted. I filled my days with books and TV but I was still missing something (I live alone, so there is no one to talk to or play board games, I don't even have a cat to classify as an old cat lady). My wish for this year is dedicated to my computer, I would like him to stay healthy and alive for another year and please don't decline internet anymore, okay?
I missed on so many days and we have come to the middle of the month when I arrange all of my empty cosmetic bottles ad tubes, take photo of it and finally toss it in the garbage.
First we have Avon care gentle aloe hand cream which is thankfully discontinued. Did you asked why thankfully? Well, it wasn't that good. My favorite is still the most 'common' one glycerin hand and nail one and this one doesn't even compare. The texture was a bit thinner, it didn't moisturized one bit but it still managed to leave my hands greasy. I'm super happy to see this one gone so I didn't even bother cutting the tube in half and scoop everything out. I'm done.
Next is Avon senses Peaceful Tuscany which smells like olive and orange blossom. The scent was really divine and calming but the texture was a bit unusual. It reminded me of pudding, noting bad just a bit weird. I liked the scent, it washed my body and it didn't particularly dried out my skin but I despised the packaging, in particular the opening. They used to have nice caps which opened at the side, they were easy to open but now they open in the middle and I just can't do it. Call me weak but I'm not risking my poor nails for it, so I just popped the whole cap and the hole is huge and pudding like consistency was gone in less than three months. I wash my body once a day, I live alone and this bottle contained 500 ml of body wash which was gone in less than three months, that is crazy. I'm not used to use them so fast but since I love the scent I might repurchase it but I'm definitely pouring it into different, more economical packaging.
For last I have some lip products. First on the upper picture and one the swatch is Avon Ultra Rich Brilliance lipstick sample in the shade Brilliant Ruby. This line is long gone and I'm not sad about it, because brilliant in the name stands for lots of shimmer. Maybe it is not so obvious from the photo but this bright red shade had tons of golden shimmer and when the shade is so bold I usually skip on glow, so I'm just happy that it is gone and buried.
Next is Avon Color Trend glossy lipstick with the name Glossy Ruby. It is a pencil you have to sharpen which is not something I crave for but it is okay. The shade was a little darker red, very pigmented but still glossy. The texture was rather unique, I would say it felt a bit waxy but it managed to stay put for a couple of hours. It gets a big thumb up from me but this line of pencils is discontinued but I'm fine, I got a bit sick of wearing red lips everyday but it is still a shame because I know a lot of people could enjoy this formula.
The last item is also from Avon and it is also not available anymore. It is Avon ultra shiny tubes in the shade Shineberry. It was a nice raspberry shade, more red than pink with nice pigmentation, no shimmer and a very glossy finish, that also means it was a bit thin and it could slip under the lip and down the chin. I had to be very careful and not to apply too much because it could end with a disaster (picture a vampire who just drank fresh blood). I have learned that this color looks nice on me but it is so not practical that I will try not to buy similar shades ever again. I will forbid myself from buying more bright or dark, pigmented lip glosses because no matter how great they look it almost always ends with a disaster.
So, this is my first batch of empties, a lot of reds and Ruby's.
Thank you for reading and have a nice day
