more eye shadows

Hello,

today I quickly went through the drugstore just to see if the new Essence LE is available (Lights of Orient) but it wasn't. On my surprise there was LE from Catrice already on display, on their official page you can read that it will come out in mid April, that is the reason why I was surprised, I just didn't expect it to be out.

I decided to get the eye shadow palette (not that I need more shadows but they seemed very pretty and unique in my collection). Catrice palette from Denim Divine collection named Injeanious comes in beautiful bronze case and it is very hard to open but the shades and huge mirror inside justify that. I also wanted to get the bronzer but it was sadly sold out.
Next I also got Misslyn single eye shadow from Eyes, Eyes Baby collection in Flirty Copper, on the packaging it is only marked with a number 39 but on their official web site you can find the names.
I'm not sure when I will be able to try them out properly but I will try my best.

White and Gold

it is time for another package. I ordered two new BB creams. One of them is actually a cushion because I wanted to give it another go, this time with more appropriate shade and it also came with a sponge you are supposed to apply.

They are both from Missha. I haven't bought anything from them for so long that I felt it is time to fix that.
I found the seller I trust, which had a bit of a discount plus both items have pretty high SPF and I have a feeling that this summer will be super hot.

I just had to take the photo of the items still in the packaging and without because they look like they are from the same line. White and gold is one of my favorite combinations in general. 

First is signature complexion coordinating BB cream with SPF 43 (great for summer) and I believe that it only comes in one color which should adapt when it is applied, we will see how that will go.

The second is their magic cushion moisture compact with SPF 50 in the shade 21.

As you can see this time I went and bought the whole thing and not just the refill for the cushion because when you buy the refill it does not come with the applicator which you use to apply cushion. This time I fell I will be able to realy put it to the test and see what everyone is raving about.

Old or the new one?

a while ago I ordered another BB cream to test it side by side with my old one. You see, this one is one of my favorite, light, yellow toned with tons of coverage (no need for a concealer and trust me my skin does not look great) but the brand decided to revamp their already successful range. I bought the new version to compared it with the  old one and if you are interested about it...

Holika Holika Petit BB cream Essential & Bouncy

I'm talking about Holika Holika Petit BB cream. The first tube with a cute kitty is the old one and it is called Essential, revamped version looks kind of dull next to cute kitty, right? Also they decided to change the name into Bouncy and that made me think that they must change the formula as well.

Here the first swatch is made with the new Bouncy one and second is Essential. Maybe on the screen it is not so obvious that the new one is definitely darker, I feel like it could be appropriate for olive toned beauties, it is so dark. They kept the yellow tone and great coverage but the shade is so off.
In order to be able to wear it I will have to get white base to mix it in because I never get that dark not even in the summer.
For me that is really a bummer that they changed the color so much. Otherwise this BB cream is still great and among the cheapest around. For 30 ml tube you have to pay around 4,50$ which is dirty cheap considering that you get a full coverage BB cream with SPF30 and it is really moisturising.
I tried to find the original but they want double the price for it and to top it of it is sold out, you can still get the other ones from the line but Essential is sold out  :(
Well, I still have Clearing one to try, maybe that one will knock my socks off.

I was in need for a new eye cream. Previous one weirdly enough made my under eye veins more prominent so I stopped using it every single day but I still feel that my skin would benefit if I would use something moisturizing every day. I heard some good reviews about this eye cream and while I was there I picked up some extra items from the same line.

face cream, eye cream & concentrate

All three items are from Afrodita cosmetics hydra thermal natural mineral water line. The first in a square box is an ultra moisturizing cream for normal to combination skin.
Second is my much needed eye cream which fights against first wrinkles, reduces dark circles and puffiness.
Last item is a bonus one (I don't really need it but I thought it could work well with other items already in my routine). It is a concentrate with matte finish effect and provides skin with extra moisture. You can use it on its own or in combination with a cream if your skin is on dryer side.

I almost forgot that I haven't posted a review about this little eye shadow. It has quickly found its place in my routine and almost always I incorporate it in my looks.

Benecos eye shadow So what!

I bought it from Benecos and the name of the shade is So what! The formula is buttery soft with a lot of pigment, so no plain shadow here. They have a couple of other shades but non of them is really neutral except for this one which is a shame. I think they should make more neutral shades for us neutral loving gals.

The color is a beautiful mix of gold and bronze and it doesn't have any shimmer but it does have great sateen finish that glows. I often use it for one shadow look but sometimes I deepen my crease with a bit of chocolate brown and I basically let this shade to be the star of the look.

I would get more singles if any other shade would appeal to me but so far this will be the only one. I also bought one neutral quad which I haven't even started cracking, I know, it is sad but I just bought way too many eye shadows and I just don't have enough time to properly test all of them.

Night Blue

today was such a fun day, I met with my sister who celebrated her birthday today. There were lots of good food involved so I will try to go quick. I can tell you that I didn't used this product today because I knew it wouldn't last.

Benecos natural kajal in Night Blue

It is Benecos natural kajal in Night Blue. I already wrote about awesome white shade here. This one is part of the same line but it performs differently. The shade is lovely. Dark grey with a blue flash which is more obvious the more layers you make. Really beautiful but the formula is not so great.

This is a close up of the shade where it looks more blue than the actual color on the skin. The pencil is soft and easy to apply, it does not tug the skin but glides smooth as a butter but it also smudge very easily if you don't set it with an eye shadow.

That is the color with two layers, you can intensify it with one or two more if you prefer darker defined eyes. The blue shift is a nice change from my typical grey line.
The problem I have with this particular shade is that when I put it on my upper lid after an hour or two I end up with smudges under my eyes (pandas, everyone?). I tried with setting it with and eye shadow but it doesn't help completely.
The formula and the shade are lovely just the staying power kind of sucks, I think I won't throw it away just yet but maybe I can use it when I will run to the store and I will still want to wear some make-up but I will know that it doesn't need to last for long.

I have some mixed feeling about this next product. It didn't work on my face at all but it was great when I used it on the rest of my body.

Afrodita cosmetics yoghurt with honey and shea butter

I'm talking about Afrodita cosmetics yoghurt with honey and shea butter for face and body. It has a nice creamy texture and spreads nicely all over, in fact you don't need much so this huge jar will last me for a long time. It is recommended to use after sauna or in hot steamy shower which opens up your pores and moisturising ingredients in this mask can penetrate deeper. To me it smells like caramel with some vanilla, very luxurious so I first tried it on my face.

I didn't like it. My face is sensitive and almost immediately my face started to burn, especially around my nose and after a couple minutes I felt like my entire face is on fire. I tried it twice and honestly I'm not brave enough to give it a go another time. The other day I tried it on my body after I washed it and it was fine. I feel like it spreads even better if the skin is wet, I left it on for two-three minutes and then I rinsed it off and my skin felt so smooth and moisturised, not to mention how great it smelled.
I can't use it on my face but my skin on my body loves it and I can't wait to have another spa day while using this lovely product.
