it is empties time! I don't know why I'm so excited about it but still after so many posts I still love it.

I finished two bottles (one month and a half) of this magical The Body Shop limited edition scent called Pappermint Candy Cane body lotion. I think they had it out in December of 2018, I fell in love with it and bought some backups (I  have two more ;). This scent to put it blunt is After 8 chocolate in a bottle. After applying it all over my body I smelled like I dipped myself into mint and chocolate bath. Very nice but then the cooling sensation came around and in the middle of the Winter that is not nice. I think I will use the remaining two bottles in the warmer weather.

Next is my beloved Alkmene tea tree face wash. I think I have talked about it so many times that I'm lost for words. What can I say about it that I haven't said before? Maybe I can  just try to describe it in a few words and be done with it. It is a gel that removes my make up (I use oil to melt my make-up and then follow with this face wash to remove that) and leaves my skin clean but it doesn't dry it out. I'm prone to acne and I think that little of tea tree oil that it contains keeps my skin balanced and it doesn't tip it over the edge. It is one of the two face washes that I keep buying and using and I'm planing on buying some more.

This Catrice HD liquid coverage foundation in Light beige, turned into my favorite foundation upon the first application. I like how buildable it is, it has really nice coverage and it dries into an almost matte finish that doesn't look too fake. I also like that you can mix some highlighter in it and it doesn't worsen the performance or makes application harder like the L'oreal one did. An extra bonus is also the perfect shade match. I already use a new bottle of the same 'juice'.

Second to last are The BodyShop lightening shade adjusting drops which were so necessary when I was using the L'oreal 24 hour matte foundation. I still have one more tube of that foundation left and one more bottle of the lightening drops around so I guess I will have to use them up sometime soon but I just can't prepare myself because it is much more simple to use the Catrice foundation mentioned above and not be bothered with mixing.

I remember I was very hesitant to use this Nivea original lip balm because I had bad experience with Labello or Nivea lip balms but I purchased this one in an advent calendar so I didn't really choose it, it was part of a bigger pack but I was so pleasantly surprised. It is very creamy almost buttery and it coats the lips very well (I like that texture, I can't stand hard balms that don't melt and it feels like you are rubbing plastic all over you). The scent is barely there, the packaging is plain but what is inside really matters and I was impressed, so much that when I saw this super awesome deal, pack of two for the price of one I went into the store but unfortunately I couldn't find it so at the end I didn't repurchase it. I still have plenty of lip balms and my plan is to use them up and then get my favorites and this one is in my top three balms so I will make sure to buy it again in the future.

I have been focusing on a couple of products and so in this post I have a wide variety of empties. Some of them are my favorites and already repurchased, others not so good are already trashed and out of my life.

Avon Planet SPA Greek Seas with Algae extract smoothing moisture lock eye gel was something I wanted to try for the Summer but it took me much longer to actually use it up. It was a proper gel with some pink/purple pearl shimmer which wasn't obvious on the skin. It absorbed fast but I didn't noticed any special moisturizing properties so I won't repurchase it again.

This bottle of Eveline expert C, 12% active vitamin C serum is already my second one. I bought both at the same time and while I loved the first one I think this one went bad. There was no intense citrus scent as there was with the first one and I'm pretty sure this one caused acne, so I just pour it out. I know vitamin C is very unstable but I expected that the dark bottle placed in a dark drawl would protect the product inside. I have some other serums that needs to be used up but after that I will buy this serum from Eveline again but only one at the time.

Avon Advance Technique duo treatment spray for luxuriously nourished hair is another repurchased product. There are two oils and you are supposed to shake them to mix and it smells so very good. I haven't noticed that my hair would look better so I used it only because of the scent and I will buy it again in the near future.

Garnier skin active honey face wash smelled amazing. Very honey like and that is definitely my jam. It did wash my make-up off and didn't strip my skin. It was really nice but I don't think I will buy it again. Himalaya's neem foaming was or Alkmene's tea tree wash simply do more when it comes to my acne.

Second to last blue bottle is Melvita's Lavender floral face water. I think this is my third bottle of it and if it didn't work it wouldn't be a constant in my make-up routine. I like to spray my face with it after I'm done with my cream and before my powder products especially in the cooler months. I will probably try lavender toner from some other, cheaper brand to see if it works just as good otherwise I'm buying it again.

Batiste Tropical dry shampoo was a disappointment. I like their peony scented version but I wanted to try some other scents as well and this one was icky. To me it smelled like plastic bag which they tried to cover it up with a generic overly sweet coconut scent. I apologize to everyone who love it but we are all different, with different tastes. Peony version is already repurchased and I also took the cherry one to try out and I hope it will be better then this one.

 

Melvita Extraordinary oil was just a 17 ml sample (this is the second sample bottle that I went through plus I used up the full, 100 ml version in the past). This oil has intoxicating scent, it is so very good and addictive but I don't think it did much for my skin or hair. I used it and my skin didn't look any better, if anything it was a bit dry like this oil wasn't moisturizing enough for me. It is on the more expensive side so when the results aren't there I don't think I can justify buying a new bottle.

Catrice Pure Shine Colour balm in Go, Flamingo Go! was a repurchased shade and I used up another red one. These balms were amazing. Very moisturizing, tinted and glossy, everything I seek in a lip product and I would get it again in a heartbeat if I could.

Avon Mark Plump it clear gloss is nothing new for me. Through the years they changed the names, packaging, shades but the formula still seems the same. This is my third tube of it and I love it. Clear isn't really my first pick but the tingling, minty and cooling formula is phenomenal if you like that sort of thing. I'm glad that I used it up before the really cold weather because I only use it when it is hot outside but next year I'm getting some more. I'm eyeing the nude shade.

Alverde Rose face oil has been repurchased numerous times. My irritated skin responds so well to it. After a couple of days of using it (I apply it at night time) my skin looks more even and is more moisturized. I like the handy pipette packaging but 15 ml of product goes quick. At the moment I don't have it since I'm working on another oil but when that one is gone I'm repurchasing it aging.

A'pieu NonCo tea tree face oil is another little gem (14 ml) for my skin. When my skin is suffering form acne or when I just start to feel them under the surface I start using it (also at night), those little suckers don't stand a chance. Also at the moment that was the only bottle of tea tree oil in my possession but I'm testing a sample from The Body Shop and I will see if it is just as good.

The Body Shop shade adjusting lightening drops is another 'I can't live without' product. I love my foundation but the lightest shade is not light enough so I just can't see myself not using it.Even one week of vacation couldn't turn my skin darker enough to make it without the drops so this is a must and a new bottle is already in good use.

today has been a long day. Even though it is a holiday I had to get up early and go to work, now I'm just chilling before I stuff myself with delicious food.

The first item is/was my oldest eye shadow palette and technically I didn't use it up but dropped it and what I had left felt out. It is super old Avon eye shadow quad from the days when there were making oval instead of squared palettes. I had it in the Smokey Eyes color. First shade was a shimmery white, perfect to accentuate my inner corners, second was a light pink that I never liked so I scraped it out early on. The only shade that you can actually see is the light grey that I used a lot when I started using make-up which was in high school but since then I started to wear warmer shades and this one was left forgotten. The very last shade was a deep grey that I used to fill in my brows and when I dropped it I mourned after that shade the most (the shade that I'm using in my brows now is just not that good).

Next product are shade adjusting drops from The Body Shop. My sister brought them for me from abroad but now TBS is available in Slovenia so I already order it and that tells you just how much I like them. It is a proper white liquid that is mixing well with my foundation and getting my perfect shade has never been more simple. I can on recommend them.

Next bottle is Ebelin nail polish remover. I think I had it before and it removes my nail polish so very well and it is also inexpensive. Right now I'm using another brand that is also cheap and I tend to rotate, it depends which one I can find on sale to spend even less money on them  ;)

I have talked about my favorite face cream before which is Neutrogena oil free moisturizer so I will be short. I like the squeeze tube which comes handy on travels. The cream itself is moisturizing jet matte. I can apply my make-up right away and it doesn't make it look weird. This is my favorite and holy grail daily cream.

This old Melvita Narcissus extraordinary water is something I purchased on sale and I'm always on a hunt for a good skincare but this one sadly broke me out if I used it every day on my face so I mostly used it on my neck and chest area. I definitely won't repurchase it but I have the Rose one that I need to clear out this year.

Underneath is an Avon Skin so Soft body butter with jojoba oil. This smells so nice that I'm glad that I bought backups. It is my second one and I think I have two more. It smells creamy and comforting, nothing too specific but so very nice. The texture is a little bit thicker but moisturizing and it sinks in very fast. My skin is never dry or itchy when I use it so Avon did well when they made it.

Avon Color Trend Lioness eye pencil is upfront and it was part of a limited edition. I got it a couple of years ago and I remember how pretty and unique the shade looked like. It was a mix of antique gold and moss green with a lovely sheen. I used it a couple of times and then I just saved it, maybe for special occasion but it never came. The other day I wanted to try it but it was so dry and it was so stinky that I'm just tossing it away before it gives me a pinky eye.

Avon Color Trend Barefoot Beige lip gloss is another almost brand new item that I wanted to use sometimes in the future but when I applied it on my lips it tingle and I know that that is not something that it should do. I recently discovered two web pages that tells you how old your make up is. Basically I enter the brand name and the short batch code that it is on your make-up and it tells you when it was made. This gloss was made in April 2011!!! I'm getting rid of it.

Another gloss is from Essence XXXL nude lip gloss line in Taste the Sweets. I almost finished it up completely but that weird tingle happened so I'm willing to take part with it before I poison myself with expired make-up. This shade was great and the formula was one of my favorites, I was upset when they discontinued them but then they came out with the Shine, Shine, Shine line that is even more fantastic. I encourage everyone who likes lip gloss to go and get some, you won't be disappointed.

The very last item in this already way too long post is a face wash that I was eyeing on e-bay and then my sister surprised me with when she was traveling. It is Too Cool for School egg mousse face soap. You don't need to shake it, just press the button and a thick mousse comes out (think of shaving foam), it removes my make-up really nicely while it didn't dry out my skin. It was very nice but since I can't get it so easily I don't think I will repurchase it.
