Dusty Beige tint

 Hello,

I decided to try out more matte lip products, I don't love them but if I don't try them out I will never know if my opinion changed.

It is Etude Fixing tint in Dusty Beige. It comes in a matte packaging and it feels almost like it is made out of rubber, nice touch :)

I am not a fan of matte lips on my self but I am trying new things, this line was on sale and I picked out one shade. Now I kind of regret not getting the more brown option because now I want to wear these type of shades more than pinks.

On the wand it looks pretty liquid and doesn't give me immediate matte vibes. There is slight scent, a bit of vanilla and almost honey. Very faint, I wish it would be stronger and more long lasting because it is beautiful.

Formula is a bit sticky after it dries. Not too much but enough to notice. If I lick it it doesn't go away but it also doesn't remove the product. It leaves a bit of print on my cups but mostly from the inner part of my lips (where the product doesn't dry well because it is part of my mouth which is in contact with saliva).

If I put lip balm or gloss on top it leaves a print on the cup. Stain is not removed but slightly lifts and moves around.

Top swatch is fresh and I had to take these photos fast because this tint dries before my eyes. It sets within seconds. 

Shade looks dusty but more pinky/red than beige. Fresh application also has a bit more vibrancy to it. When it dries and sets it a bit deeper and muted or smokey.

Here I love the scent the most but I fear that matte formulas still aren't my favorite. Shade is a bit dark for me and having dry lips bothers me (like all matte products does, I am not talking about moisturising properties but just the dry texture). I always want to top them with something creamy or glossy which defeats the purpose.

Faded pudding pot

there is a new little mushroom in my room. At first it looked super adorable and innovative but after some thought I decided to not try it since this turns lips matte and I am more of a gloss type. This pot was given to me free of charge after buying some other Fwee products. The shade was also a surprise and it is actually very neutral and lovely. After having it I decided to try it out.

Here I have Fwee lip & cheek blurry pudding pot in the shade Faded. I have full sized one in 5g. Bottom is thick glass with a plastic lid which is supposed to match the color family shade inside.

Faded is described as dusty rose brown and when I look for other people swatches it looks more brown than mine. Mine has more red or rosy tones in it I feel.

The texture is very light, airy mousse and so easy to spread and blend.

Here it is, first heavy swatch and then I blended it out. This shade strikes as lively and not brown at all. I wonder if my shade got wrongly named and it is something else?

When I put it on my lips it creates this soft matte look and it does look nice (the shade also works for me) and it is not drying. When I press my lips together it feels very soft and silky but I start missing the texture that the gloss gives me (in my heart I am through and through a glossy gal).

This has very unusual texture for me, I still remember dry matte lip products (I am thinking of the Rimmel one) while this Fwee has a very soft texture and soft feeling on the lips. It is pleasant but I miss the gloss :)

I tried to put balm or gloss on top after half an hour after wearing it but it is not sealed and product on top moved the pudding pot so that is not a solution. I think I have to wear it on its own. After hour and a half it start wearing off and reapplying is possible but I can't do it while at work.

I appreciate this product, the innovative texture, nice jar, shade is really nice for me and the look on the lips but it is just not very practical for me because I can't reapply it and after 15 min of wearing it I 'need' to put something on my lips but then I ruin the base.

I see why people love this but after testing it out I see that this item is not for me. I am still deciding if I should keep it or just pass it to my sister who might cherish it more.

Lip smoothers

on my recent trip to the store where I picked up more or less everything that I wanted from Catrice before they completely discontinued some products I also picked up these two guys.

I wanted another shade but it was sold out (in 4 different stores!) so I picked up the other two shades available. They are Catrice Beautifying lip smoothers in Coffee to go and Best mauve ever.

They come in a squeeze tube with 'fuzz' on top. Similar stuff that is on the doe foot applicator sans the long stick. In fact I prefer tubes since they are easier to apply product wile you are on the go and don't have a mirror (long applicator makes it harder to get the lips if you can't see where it is).

When I squeezed them for the first time the product that came out looked very different (I don't mean the color but I focus on the texture). On the Coffee to go shade the product is oilier and on the darker one it is thicker (Best mauve ever shade was released later hence the slight change in the design but I don't know how old each one is). After using the nude shade a couple times it normalized, the product that comes out isn't as oily anymore and it is easier to use but the mauve shade is still a bit harder. The product still comes out in distinct bubbles.

They are both quite sheer but they do carry some pigment. My lips are naturally reddish so the Coffee to go shade acts a little light on me, so probably I will wear it only at home. The other swatch was made with Best mauve ever shade and you can see that it isn't as 'oily' as the first shade but I prefer the color as it matches my natural coloring better and it actually accentuates it but I have to be careful not to apply too much because it can bleed over the lines of my lips and it can turn me into a clown.
I have used them when my lips were really dry and I even had a little crack in the corner which was painful whenever I opened my mouth very wide. It felt like a oily gloss on the lips but after a couple of layers it managed to heal that crack and my lips felt moisturized and ready to be kissed.
These two guys have become my new healers (I still love the Catrice luxury oils but since these two come in a tube I find them easier to reapply but essentially they perform the same, actually I would say that the smoothers stay on for longer then the oils so I like them a bit more but that doesn't help since they are all discontinued).
I'm ready to sign some kind of petition to bring them back, thank god Essence has lip oils in their collection but wait, it would be too good to be true if they would keep them. Yep, they are about to discontinue them as well. I will be buying some of them even though I haven't tried them jet, I'm really into lip oils and I can't believe they are retiring them so fast after bringing them to life.
