Empties

 Hello,

this is my first part of my empties, they are make-up and lip balm related, so more face focused group.

I finally used up these two Catrice HD Baking & Setting loose powders in 1 Translucent and 3 Cool Beige. Middle shade no. 2 was sold out so I got white one and the one that it is too dark to mix them together to match me and this loose powder combo really held up my oily skin in check. My make-up lasted exceptionally well through the day. Each powder holds up to 23 g of powder and these together lasted me for more than one year. They are discontinued but I have a backup of both shades. Now I will use something else to see if there is anything else good for my oil skin (I have all these powders already in my stash so nothing new for me).

Next is Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation in Porcelain Beige. Another one from their HD line and I think these liquid foundations are staying even though they did revamp them a few years ago. This shade is not my perfect match, I purchased it online thinking I am buying my right shade. This one is a bit paler and more yellow in tone. I used dropper applicators and added a little bit daily to my perfect foundation shade to use this one up :)

Next is my very last one of these Avon Supershock Max black mascaras. I think this one is discontinued :( It has a big plastic wand and it separates my lashes, adding a bit length but it does not clump them and afterwards they look pretty natural. I really liked the more natural look and almost always I look for a plastic wand because of this mascara. I was really spoilt with it and now I am a bit sad that this one is gone. The one that I use now is clumping my lashes and I have to be very careful while using it, I already miss my SuperShock Max :(

I purchased this baby in a set of five, it is Essence Juicy Bomb lip gloss in Tangy Tangerine. First I wanted to go for something pink but juicy Tangerine scent took over me. Shade was very sheer with tiny shimmers which sparkles in the sun, scent remained for several minutes. I wish these would be a bit more longlasting but at the end when they are cheap as chips I don't mind too much. I really enjoyed using it but now I jumped on the pink version. There is new set available and only one shade is a limited edition, available only in that said set and of course that is the one which calls me the most.

This is the second tube of Catrice Lip Jam Hydrating Lip Gloss in I like You Berry Much (first one was strawberry and since the lid cracked it dried and I was not able to finish it). This one was sheer with a bit thicker formula, more balmy than Essence gloss. There was slight fruity scent and it had some shine. The unfortunate thing is that this one also went bad. I don't know what exactly happened but it got so thick that when I put it on my lips it was all stringy. I did not want to force myself over using something obviously expired (this was a new thing, at first it was fine) so I am throwing it away before I can completely finish it.

Lastly there is Crazy Rumors Sugar & Spice lip balm. This one surprised me, scent wise. To me it had a mulled wine scent and I opened it for the first time at my work, talk about awkward. Every time I reached for it I remembered :) All in all the scent was pleasant, balm was nourishing and was adding some clear shine to my lips + hydration. I really like Crazy Rumors balms, I think I used up four now and I am very pleased with all of them, I am already using new flavour so this one will not be too missed.

Empties

 Hello,

end of the month is here and below are my empties for the month of November.

First is Etude baking powder B.B. deep cleansing foam with little granules (hence the name baking powder). I used it as a light mechanical scrub but I avoided my eyes so for me this wasn't perfect for removing BB cream but as a scrub it was okay. I am trying to avoid mechanical scrubs but sometimes it feel so good that I can't help it but then I prefer something stronger.

Next is Korres Santorini Grape body moisturiser. I adore everything grape scented and I grabbed this lotion pretty quickly but when I tried it out I was a bit disappointed since the scent is light and more floral than juicy grape. Still nice but not what I expected. The lotion itself was nice but I got it for the scent which wasn't there.

Next I used up also this The Body Shop Shea lotion. This one didn't disappointed with the scent and it was rich, slightly masculine but exactly my taste. Lotion absorbed quickly and I was able to go through a bit faster than normal but the scent was so gorgeous that I don't hold a grudge. I would get it again.

Little orange tube is another one of my beloved Neutrogena oil free face moisturisers. I love the light texture which always nourish my skin no matter how dry it is, it stays put under make-up and does not make be oily. I will forever repurchase it.

When I saw this CeraVe resurfacing retinol serum I knew I will try it. It has a very light, gel like texture and absorbed quickly into my skin and often I would put a heavier cream on top to provide some more hydration but this was a nice retinol and I would get it again.

Last bottle here is Revox hyaluronic acid serum with a convenient pipette. Texture is gel which absorbs quickly into my skin and it is ready to top it off with something locking all that moisture in. The price is low and I like that, I would get it again (I probably already have a backup somewhere).

I have another Korres product and this time it is in this beautiful orange bottle. It is White tea perfume and the name tells you the scent. It was very calming but light plus it disappears quickly. I used up this bottle up in a matter of a few months which is quick for me.

I used up my second NYX fat oil lip drip and this one is Missed Call. It is super similar to Supermodel except it is more pigmented and has no shimmer which isn't even noticeable. I preffered Supermodel but this one was also usable if I was careful not to apply too much at once. I liked these enough to use them up but I don't see myself buying more unless if there will be a shade I will be interested in.

White tube is Dr. Paw Paw shimmery balm. Particles were big and sparkly but also a bit rough on the lips. I don't love it when I rub my lips together and they scrape my lips. I used it at night so the particles wouldn't bother me and I woke up with glitter all over my face. I was glad once it was gone and I am more excited to try the original formula without shimmers.

Second to last is my beloved Crazy Rumours Leaping Bunny Plum and Apricot lip balm. This is my third lip balm from the brand and my love is still going strong. Formula is great for me and light scents are so good. This mix of plum and apricot felt so good together and refreshing. I already have a new option prepared to go next and I hope it will be just as good.

Last but not least is Blistex original lip balm. I still like this classic. The formula is soft, scent light and nourishing properties are there. I don't have a backup since I am trying to got through my extensive stash but I can see myself buying it again.

Empties

 Hello,

new year and a fresh start. Apparently I'm starting January with some new lip balms :) These below are really lovely and so far what I'm using doesn't get close to these three.

I finished up another bottle of Catrice ultra last fixing spray. I love this one the most out of all of fixing sprays that I have tried. I love the long-lasting matte effect that it has on my face but it doesn't look flat matte. It almost looks like shiny skin but matte... it is really impossible to describe. If you are on a hunt for a new fixing spray and have oily skin I would suggest you to try it out.

On the bottom is Ahava time to hydrate essential day moisturiser. It had a lightweight feel and it absorbed completely into my skin in about 15-20 minutes. If my skin was oily it was hydrating enough but on days when my skin needed a bit more it just didn't cut it. Later I started layering it with more hydrating serums and then it was better for days when my skin needed some extra care. I don't think I will get it again even though it wasn't the creams fault but I should use it on warmer days.

Lastly there are three lip balms which are completely used up. Yellow one is Crazy Rumor's Honey Comb. I am obsessed with anything honey related and I like the scent on this one, even though it is honey and floral scent. I had one from them before, it was the Grape Jelly flavour which was a bit softer in texture and because of that I prefer that one. This isn't bad at all but comparing the two I liked the softer, more buttery formula. I will definitely try more versions as soon as I use up some more balms.

The last two are reformulated Terra Nature lip balms (before they also had two and I loved one, the other one was just okay) and I was nervous to try the new versions. I hoped for the best and I can say that I love both of them :)  Nude one is Shea butter & Argan oil and the pink one is Shea butter & Almond oil. They are both super soft (they might melt in hot Summer weather but that is the kind of formula that I personally like). They both just melt into my lips and keep them nourished all day long, I like the glossy finish and the pink one has tiny, barely visible shimmer particles which only add to the glow. I honestly love them the most in my collection and when I saw double pack of the nude one I immediately purchased it, shame that I couldn't find the pink duo as well since I would get it as well. These two are my favourite formulas at the moment and I only wish for them to bring more flavours or if I stay more humble I hope they will not discontinue them.

Empties

 Hello,

I really thought that this post in the middle of the month will be filled with products but at the end I only managed to finish up four, a bit sad but that means that there will be more empties next time.

First is a body lotion from Avon and it is their fragranced Her Story, Love Inspires body moisturizer. I was surprised at how much I liked the scent. It has praline note which is for me the most prominent and I can detect some florals even though I can't pick them apart. My skin isn't very dry at the moment so this lotion is ether quite moisturising or my skin just didn't need much hydration at the moment. I would get it again for the scent alone but I have to finish some other ones first.

Next I finished up two lip balms. First is Crazy Rumors Grape Jelly and I have nothing but praises for it. It is soft and looks almost glossy on the lips (my favourite type of a formula) and the scent really is perfectly described in the name. It is full of oils and butters and my lips loved this formula. At the same time I also bought the Honeycomb version which feels the same on the lips (the ingredients list seems a bit mixed up but for the most part they contain almost the same ingredients just in different proportions), with a different scent. After I will finish both of them up I will get myself some more, there is a Cereal Milk version that I would love to try out next.

The second lip balm is from Avon and it is from their winter limited edition (they had two, the other Vanilla one in purple packaging I also got but I haven't opened that one yet and I'm doubting that I will). Mine is Apple Pie version and to me it smells more like a true apple, which in hindsight isn't bad but a little unexpected. This formula is thin and disappears quickly, so reapplying is a must. My lips after a few hours did get a bit dry if I used this one on its own so I don't think this formula works for me that well and I do regret getting both versions. It is not bad, I just don't think it does much for me.

The very last item is Hada Labo Tokyo concentrated water serum with lock-in-moist formula and plenty of Hyaluronic Acid. I would use this thicker but fast absorbing gel after pure Hyaluronic Acid serum all over my face but since it absorbed into my skin pretty fast I usually use some extra oil on top to really lock it in (I love slugging my skin for bed time). And for layering this was a nice product but I haven't seen any major benefits while using it, instead I could just use a thicker moisturiser on top or skip it and apply oil over serums. This product was nice but somehow unnecessary in my evening routine.
