Empties

 Hello,

this end of the month really creeped on me. March came and went by way too fast for me.

First I have Taft heat protection hair spray. It had a nice sprayer but I don't have any special feelings about it. I never know if a heat protection works, I just try to use it every time I use heat to at least pretend I care for my hair. I liked this one but I still have a few others that I need to use up first before going shopping.

Next is Too cool for school Egg Remedy Hair Pack hair mask and it is really nice. It is rather thicker paste and because of it it grips on the hair and deeply conditions them. It has beautiful warm and floral scent. The best were the results, my hair were silky and smooth after using it and now I can't find it anymore :( I would buy ten more if I could, my hair love it and the scent lingered through the next day.

Then there is Korres French Lilac body lotion. It is a bit thicker than the rest from the line and the scent is realistic and super strong. I had a few of their lotions before and scents were only meh, but this one is gorgeous and longlasting. I would get this one again.

In the morning I used Chloe Nomad body lotion all over (on top I would spray the matching perfume). This has a beautiful scent and I liked it even better than the perfume. There is juicy Mirabelle scent with Oakmoss and some woody notes. Very likeable and fresh for the Spring. I would get it again, perhaps next year.

In the back there is Avon anew purifying jelly cleanser with charcoal extract. I expected this one to be black in color but it was clear gel. It didn't foam much but I felt like it did their job without stripping my skin. I still have a bunch of face washes that I need to use up but this one wasn't bad at all.

Green bottle is Nuxe Marine Seaweed skin correcting moisturising fluid for oily skin. It has heavenly honey scent but the texture is a bit weird. It just sits on top of my skin at first. It creates white lotion streaks but after 10 min it starts absorbing and creating matte effect on the skin. I like it the most for the scent, but those streaks bother me and I will not be buying it again.

Last bottle with blue label is It's Skin Firefighter enriched with Licorice root extract to help soothe, evening out the skin tone and brightening. I liked using it because of its light texture but I have not noticed any big difference in my skin tone so probably I will not be buying it again.

Pink Diamond

Hello,

this was a highly anticipated product for me. I envisioned soft pink glow to come out of it and I hoped it will be everything I hopped for.

Here it is Amuse Face Diamond in Pink Diamond shade. As far as I know this is the only shade available and it looks pretty pink with almost a bit of peach tint in it. I was expecting a beautiful sateen finish since there is no particles visible in the pan.

Nothing in here sparkles and I thought that this would have pinky base with a sateen finish, great as a blush toper or just worn alone to bring some color back to my face with lovely glow.

This Pink Diamond swatches very different. On the skin it is rather golden and sparkles, it is actually made of shimmer when I see it up close.
For me this is a bit too sparkly and I don't love to wear it on my cheeks. I mostly wore it as an eyeshadow.

I first tried to made a 'hard' swatch and then blend it out to show individual sparkles. No matter what I do it is still predominately golden. Applied with brush it has a hint of pink in there but too little for my camera to pick it up.

On the photo below there is a finger swatch and there you can see a bit of pink base with golden glow. I think pink base doesn't transfer, it stays on the finger if applied with it. My eyelid looked slightly more pink when applied with the brush opposed to the other side applied with a finger.

It is nice if you like this type of golden, sparkling highlighter. For me this is merely golden eyeshadow and I don't even love gold on my eyes.
I am still thinking if I should keep it or give it to my sister to try it out.

Sweety Cream and Cotton Candy

 Hello,

I have two sheer cuties for today with some fun stars in them.

I have Etude Over Glowy Glosses in Sweety Cream and Cotton Candy. Top one with the more pink tube is nude and bottom one with lighter packaging hides soft pink gloss. I wish they would make see through tubes.

Inside the lid there are three stars and rattle a bit when shaken, it is fun but I love that there is a heart shape when seen from above.

Applicators are super long and bend to really hug the lip but are a bit hard to get back inside the tube. Both shades are light and sheer but so very satisfying to look at.

First is Sweety Cream, peach nude, very pale and at first it does sip into my fine lines but after a few minutes is okay. It is not very pigmented to make a big impact. Second is Cotton Candy, baby pink shade which is even more sheer (to make this pink swatch I had to make two layers of this one, while the nude  one is made with only one layer).

They are glossy with very little color payoff. I wish there would be a bit more but I always prefer less than too much pigment. They also have sour grape scent to them and I love them. Shine lasts for one hour, it could be better but okay.

I think they look nice but if they added a bit more color and prolong the shine I would get more of them but now I don't think I would repurchase them.

GirlCult Four Great Inventions series emotion blushers

 Hello,

for today I have two chunky cheek products and they surprised me in the best way possible.

They are GirlCult Four Great Inventions series emotion blushers in Leave Blank and True Color. One highlighter and other looked like a contour or bronzer shade.

The packaging is bulky and very different from everything I ever seen before. At first I thought that I have to unzip it, because of the zig zag edge :) I really like the grey stones on top.
They hold 3g of product each.

The imprint in there with a winky sun is beautiful and very pronounced, it will take a while to disappear.
A nice touch is also a mirror inside which is big enough to actually see what I am doing.

Leave Blank has base color but applied with a brush it isn't that visible but the sparkles are there and create that luminous effect. It is highlighting but not obvious, on my skin it looks pretty natural and everyday despite looking like a sparkling white powder.

True Color isn't contour but rather a soft bronzer shade, very natural tone. Not orange but with a hint of peach tones even though the official description says that it is a rosy nude tone. I noticed with some other products that peach tones suit my skin tone very well (I had peach toned highlighter, bright pastel blush and peach toned bronzer, I used all of them up and are no longer sold so now I am looking for similar items).

These are heavy swatches, when worn on the face they are less visible and softer.

Highlighter comes off on my face very soft, natural looking and that isn't what I have expected. At first I was a bit annoyed but now I see value in it, the more natural highlighter the easier to use daily.
With the bronzer I immediately knew that it will be the one. It is soft, very blurring and buildable. I can apply very little and blend it out nicely. It looks very natural and the tone is just right for me. This is definitely one of my favorite products.

Both powders are finely mild, have no fallout and are soft to the touch. I am on a lookout for a possible blush from GirlCult, now that I know they have amazing formula.

Canned Peaches

 Hello,

I had this lipstick for quite a while but I just couldn't bring myself to trying it out because I had a different shade on my mind when I was buying it.

It is Veecci essence of water lipstick in the color Canned Peaches. I hopped that it would be peachy but the brand obviously had some other kind of peaches in mind because this one is straight forward red. At the end I give them props for naming it since it has a pretty unique name.

The top of the lipstick has their signature V and the whole packaging follows this heart shape which is also pretty different and nice.

It is creamy, shimmer free and lovely red. It has a lot of gloss once on the lips. This means that there is no staying power, it prints easily all over the glass and it does not survive eating.
If I stay diligent and not touch my lips it lasts but after 20 min or around that mark it gets a little sticky when I press my lips together also the same happens when I reapply. It is just a bit sticky.

Color is vibrant, red with a touch of watermelon. It looks fresh and lively. The kind of red that screams Spring to me. I would wear it for a nice stroll to the park to go see tulips but wear something else if I would go and get coffee with somebody (I don't love leaving lip prints everywhere especially all over foreign cups).

I really like this packaging and the shade is really nice (I didn't think I would love it that much upon seeing it in person) but it grew on me after wearing it the very first time.
I also like that it is glowy but the longevity is poor and it leaves prints all over my cups and glasses. The stickiness is also not a positive bonus.

Unfortunately I will not be buying it again or in any other shade option but if they would make them transfer proof I would be interested.

Bravo, Pink Puppy

 Hello,

I am usually not the one who would get make-up based on cute characters but this one caught my eyes and the longer I looked into Dolphins eyes the more I wanted it :)

To be honest I thought that the palette was bare and the stickers would just come with it and you can decorate it however you wanted but the dolphin and dog were all over, best friends forever and forever on my palette ;)

It is Peripera all take mood palette in Bravo, Pink Puppy option. Super cute but not my aesthetic, still I found it interesting enough to took a closer look at the shades and that was what convinced me but after getting this palette and swatching it I was a bit disappointed :(

Permanent stickers cover some of the shades but this is essentially neutral palette with some pinks to brighten and an unexpected blue thrown in the mix.

Here they are and blue looks a bit more intense in real life, here it is a bit washed out. I love that they added sparkles to the mix.

First shade has beautiful almost sateen finish but unfortunately for me it leans gold which is not my favorite (I prefer cool toned looks, rather silver than gold).

Second is buttery cream shade in matte finish.

Next to it is also cream but on the cooler side also matte with a cute puppy print. This and previous one barely shows on my skin tone, I have to really pack it on to see a little.

Fourth shade had a lot of potential, this type of bright peach looks really nice against my blue eyes. I have to be careful because sometimes it can make me look sickly but this vibrancy should make me look rather alive than dead.

Next we get in the pink glittery territory and it has almost none of the base color just sparkles, they are small but so so nice.

Next in a larger pan is a blue sparkly shade, this one also has no base color just beautiful sparkles. I find these particles a bit smaller but more intense than in the previous shade.

First brown is a nice medium for me. I like putting it in the outer corners for that light dimension. I don't do bold looks with dark shades so this one is just right. It reminds me of a milky chocolate and it is as dark as I go.

Last is deeper and neutral in tone, with some sparse shimmers thrown in the mix. Just as I mentioned I don't like shades this darkness as my shadows but I can always use them as liners to elongate my eye shape. It is the only way that I can see myself using. It is a nice change from the black or grey that I usually use.

Here they are all swatched, all eight of them...

First one, gold with a sateen finish doesn't have much of an impact but it is noticeable, then it is almost nothing for the next two shades (buttery and cool toned cream shades) and then you can see a hint of peach before the two glitters.

The two glittery shades aren't that different from afar but I like having some option and they are so beautiful that I have been wearing them almost daily.
First (pink one) has larger particles than the second in general and contains pink, violet, gold and a little silver thrown in the mix. They are all approximately the same larger size.
Second glittery shade (pale blue) also has pink and violet particles but also blue and silver. All of them are much smaller and this shade has all four shades in the mix equally.

At first glance this palette looked like a safe bet with a sparkly blue, after receiving it and trying it out I at first felt disappointed since a lot of the shades looked the same or didn't show up.
I did not give up and keep trying it out and found purpose for all of them, even the shades that don't show up, I can still use them to set my primer and help with blending. Usually these cream, barely there shades are the first to be used up so it is good that this palette is packed with them :) the glitters are some of my favorites, here on the swatches I packed them up a bit, usually I wear them more sparse, just a little twinkle to elevate and make my make-up a bit more fun looking without being too much.

Scorpio Coming

 Hello,

this is the second set from the brand that I have purchased recently. This variation is leaning against red territory and it has a potential.

It is Pudaier trio in the combination Scorpio Coming with lip pencil C2079-06, lipstick 1 and sharpener. They are in red tones, at first I thought that the lip liner is dark brown but I was wrong. On skin it looks a bit different than in the pencil format.

Here they are and the pencil really looks a bit more brown, especially next to the lipstick, right?

Since this is the second set I kind of knew what to expect. Pencil glides easily all over my lips, it can be manipulated and smudged but since it never sets it leaves prints on my glasses and cups. The lipstick is no better, very buttery but it doesn't set. This duo is not longlasting and it is okay to be worn for some errands were I would not be drinking or eating then it stays there but as soon as something touches my lips they are gone.

It is unfortunate that they don't last since I really like the colors. I like that the pencil leans cooler with slight berry tone and that the lipstick is a smidge lighter and more neutral. I think a lot of different skin tones could wear it and it would look nice but constant reapplying and wiping off my cups is too much of a hassle. I am thinking of passing these two to my sister but I would miss these two beautiful colors so I haven't decided yet.

Champagne Pearl & Stellar Nacre

 Hello,

for today I have mermaids lip glosses and I picked her neutral nude ones :)

They are FlowerKnows Shell's jewel nourishing lip glazes in Champagne Pearl and Stellar Nacre. Both in nude tones without any sparkles.

The details on these are pretty, I like the soft pink packaging as well. Packaging is a bit bulky for only 4,8 ml but the gloss inside is really nice.

There is also an open shell with a pearl inside, super cute but not very practical if I want to carry it around because it takes a lot of space. I am scared that the shell from the top would fall off even though it is glued quite securely.

First is Champagne Pearl, which is lighter warm toned peachy-nude shade. It has little pigment and when my lips have natural red pigment this one barely shows up.

Second is Stellar Nacre, a bit deeper, more pigmented than the first, neutral nude with some orange in it. This one compliments my natural pigment and looks very natural on me but on days when my lips are pale it gives them that natural coloring and I find it very beautiful.

I love the quite intense sweet grape scent on these (it has to be one of my favorites among all lip glosses). They are glossy and that shine lasts from one hour up to hour and a half.

I really like this line of glosses for their scent and these two shades are lovely, second one, Stellar Nacre is my favorite and I can see myself repurchasing it.

Mellow Pink

 Hello,

for today I have one of my first tints from Asian market. In the flood of all new purchases this one almost slipped through the cracks.

Etude glow fixing tint in Mellow Pink. The bright pink packaging looks a bit scary but the product inside isn't as bright as the tube suggests.

This formula is a bit more mousse like than what i tried recently. It applies nicely and wand gives me a lot of control over it.

At first it is quite matte but after a few minutes it turns glossy for about 20 min, then the shine fades and is semi matte formula.

First swatch is fresh, after a minute to show the gloss but unfortunately it doesn't last. Shade is also very different than the outer packaging.  It is more of a rosy shade but it still keeps brightness and liveliness.

I find this shade surprisingly wearable and nice on my skintone. Second swatch is a leftover stain. It stains my lips for about one and a half hours. Then it starts fading and wearing off.

There is no scent or taste which is also a bit different.

I love the shade and mousse texture is easy to use. I wish it would stay glossy for longer and that the stain would last. I will use it up but probably I will not be buying more from this line.

Unicorn Salt and Strawberry Cream

 Hello,

these two definitely take home the award for the weirdest scent in the lippie game.

These are both marked as lip tints but one of them is a topper. They are Unleashia Popcorn Syrup lip plumper in Unicorn Salt and Strawberry Cream.

Unicorn Salt has a super thick silicon applicator and colored Strawberry Cream has also thick fuzzy applicator with a dip at the end which can carry a lot of product. I use around one third of that on my lips, it is very pigmented but the topper doesn't cary a lot of product with that fat silicon tip.

Clear topper has tons of tiny blue and violet sparkles while the tinted one is shimmer free.
These have popcorn/caramel scent and it is odd, not bad but unexpected in a lippe, I have never tried anything like it. Soon the minty scent follows but it is not cold or extra tingly so I find it okay.
Clear one is very shiny and gloss while tinted one is not as mirror like but still shiny. Gloss on both of them lasts for about 40 min.

I like the odd scent, both applicators seem very different but I prefer the one in the tinted format, clear one has too big of an applicator and stopper scraps off most of the product.

I like the shine and if it would last a bit longer I would like it even more. Strawberry Cream has a nice staining properties and it stains evenly my lips. This pink shade is one of my favorites among my entire lip tint collection.

I see that there are three more shades and they look very nice as well... I know I don't need more but this formula is really nice, one of my favorites :)

Pink Grey

 Hello,

I wanted to venture a bit into face palettes, especially to get a new contour powder. I found this brand and since these are very inexpensive I took two different ones, this is the first one since the colors appeal to me more.

This palette is from Veecci and it is their face palette in Pink Grey option (there are four plus some limited editions). This one looked the most versatile for me.
The ripple effect on the packaging is beautiful and nice to touch :)

It is supposed to contain one shimmery and one matte highlighter, blush and contour shade, since I am probably not the right skin tone as the brand predicted soft pink 'blush' barely shows up on me and even then it is too pale to be called a blush, at least on my skin tone.

I swatched them in clockwise order, starting with the shimmery highlighter. I like this one on my eyes, for my cheeks I feel like it is too shimmery.
Pink blush is a bit too pale for me skin tone so I started using it on my eyes to set my eyeshadow primer and set my concealer. I use fluffy brush and the color does not show up.
Third is contour which isn't super cool on me but something in between. I would prefer for it to be a bit more grey but even like this I can use it on my cheeks or my eyes.
Last is big pan of this cream matte highlighter. It is slightly lighter on my skin when I pack it on. I can use it in the same matter as the matte pink shade, under and over my eyes to set concealer or primer.

Contour shade is very powdery, soft pink one also kicks some but not that much, the other two are fine.

I love the packaging but shades aren't quite right for me. I like the contouring powder but since it is in small packaging it will be used first and fast. It is not a bad palette, I can see myself using these shades but only the brown shade for its purpose. The two mattes could be used as powders for my eye areas, face and neck. For the shimmery shade I even have a plan to crush it and mix it with my hair spray to add some sparkles and finish it up because I don't believe I can use it all up on my eyes.
