Empties

 Hello,

end of the month is here and below are my empties for the month of November.

First is Etude baking powder B.B. deep cleansing foam with little granules (hence the name baking powder). I used it as a light mechanical scrub but I avoided my eyes so for me this wasn't perfect for removing BB cream but as a scrub it was okay. I am trying to avoid mechanical scrubs but sometimes it feel so good that I can't help it but then I prefer something stronger.

Next is Korres Santorini Grape body moisturiser. I adore everything grape scented and I grabbed this lotion pretty quickly but when I tried it out I was a bit disappointed since the scent is light and more floral than juicy grape. Still nice but not what I expected. The lotion itself was nice but I got it for the scent which wasn't there.

Next I used up also this The Body Shop Shea lotion. This one didn't disappointed with the scent and it was rich, slightly masculine but exactly my taste. Lotion absorbed quickly and I was able to go through a bit faster than normal but the scent was so gorgeous that I don't hold a grudge. I would get it again.

Little orange tube is another one of my beloved Neutrogena oil free face moisturisers. I love the light texture which always nourish my skin no matter how dry it is, it stays put under make-up and does not make be oily. I will forever repurchase it.

When I saw this CeraVe resurfacing retinol serum I knew I will try it. It has a very light, gel like texture and absorbed quickly into my skin and often I would put a heavier cream on top to provide some more hydration but this was a nice retinol and I would get it again.

Last bottle here is Revox hyaluronic acid serum with a convenient pipette. Texture is gel which absorbs quickly into my skin and it is ready to top it off with something locking all that moisture in. The price is low and I like that, I would get it again (I probably already have a backup somewhere).

I have another Korres product and this time it is in this beautiful orange bottle. It is White tea perfume and the name tells you the scent. It was very calming but light plus it disappears quickly. I used up this bottle up in a matter of a few months which is quick for me.

I used up my second NYX fat oil lip drip and this one is Missed Call. It is super similar to Supermodel except it is more pigmented and has no shimmer which isn't even noticeable. I preffered Supermodel but this one was also usable if I was careful not to apply too much at once. I liked these enough to use them up but I don't see myself buying more unless if there will be a shade I will be interested in.

White tube is Dr. Paw Paw shimmery balm. Particles were big and sparkly but also a bit rough on the lips. I don't love it when I rub my lips together and they scrape my lips. I used it at night so the particles wouldn't bother me and I woke up with glitter all over my face. I was glad once it was gone and I am more excited to try the original formula without shimmers.

Second to last is my beloved Crazy Rumours Leaping Bunny Plum and Apricot lip balm. This is my third lip balm from the brand and my love is still going strong. Formula is great for me and light scents are so good. This mix of plum and apricot felt so good together and refreshing. I already have a new option prepared to go next and I hope it will be just as good.

Last but not least is Blistex original lip balm. I still like this classic. The formula is soft, scent light and nourishing properties are there. I don't have a backup since I am trying to got through my extensive stash but I can see myself buying it again.

Woody Rosy

 Hello,

for today I have cool packaging with a slightly misleading name since I can't match name with the shade perfectly.

I purchased Joocyee new smoky glazed gloss in Woody Rosy in 4ml bottle. It comes it the cooles bag with a rope around the circle to keep it closed.

It has the curviest wand and on top of that it is also curved and super soft (when I apply it bends even more).

There is the slightest minty scent and I can also feel it on my lips but it is not cooling which is good news for me.

Shade is named Woody Rosy but it is more orange on me, not my favorite shade but it can be sheered out and it is glossy which is very important for me since juicy lip glosses are my favorite.

Here it is visible how it sheers out and I think it looks nicer on me like that.

I like the outer packaging and especially the bottle itself, since it is not a perfect rectangular but side with darker writing on it is a bit textured. Like if I would spill some water and it would ripple through also the lid is a bit uneven and that bit makes it stand out from the rest of the bottles.

The color is not my favorite but there is also a nude option that I am thinking about. Slight minty flavour isn't bad but I love that it isn't cooling or reacting. Gloss last for about an hour and that is very nice. Overall I like this gloss and I will be wearing it in the future.

$ellout

 Hello,

finally I am trying some famous Mac lipsticks and everyday neutral pink is my first take.

Mac lipstick from the Lusterglass sheer shine in the $ellout version. I heard about these shiny lipsticks and I wanted to get an everyday soft pink shade

This imprint looks very nice and the shade looks just right for my desire. I like the sleek black tube but when I take the lid off the magic unveils.

On me it pulls more peachy than pink and where is the shine? Online I see people with juicy lips but on me the shine is eaten up. It is super pigmented and slightly pale on me so it just doesn't look right. I can add a bit of lip gloss but that is extra step that I did not think I would have to make.

This particular shade isn't right for me (I should probably get Syrup), I think it lacks shine and is slightly too pigmented for me.

Sadly this one did not meet my expectations and I will not get more shades from this line but there is so many people who loves it so it is down to preference.

pout preserve peptide lip treatment

 Hello,

I finally found these famous tubes and I decided to try only one for staters and I am very proud on myself that i was able to resist and got only one.

It is Ole Henriksen pout preserve peptide lip treatment in Strawberry Sorbet Glimmer. I was thinking of getting glimmer free version but then they reduced the price only on this one and I got it :) That is how my decision was made.

When I unpacked the tube I got scared and when I saw the color... my heart skipped a beat. I personally don't like orange with golden sparkles on me and this is exactly how it looked.

Here I applied a lot to better show the color and it was scary orange but when I apply it on my lips I use much less so the color isn't visible just a little bit of shimmer and that is it.

The scent is somewhat candid Strawberries and it is nice but not overpowered. I have read that they are super strong but not this one.

These tubes are 12ml large and that is a lot these days. Scent is lovely, color is still scary but the result is nice.

My lips loves it since it keeps them hydrated and nourished. I would like to get some more like Vanilla or Lingonberry or Grape. I have a soft spot for anything grape scented :)

Guava Sweet Dreams

 Hello,

here I have one of the cutest little lip glosses that I own. On top there is even a little clear heart to make my day whenever I go and use it.

Above is Veecci dual ended clear watery lip gloss in Guava Sweet Dreams version with only 2g of product. It looks small and as it turns out it also is small :)

On one side there is this silicone applicator for blending the product but I don't love it with this product since I like it full on my lips but i can see myself using it with some other products.

Guava Sweet Dreams is apricot toned gloss and it is a lovely color.

Applicator has a dip in the middle to pick up more product at one but there isn't too much for me.

On the back it even has their logo imprinted and it looks so cute :)

Shade is juicy apricot with thin consistency but not watery, it applies nicely and evenly. The scent is slightly fruity but it disappears quickly.
The shine lasts for only about half an hour and then it leaves an even stain which is more red toned than the gloss anticipates. It does not survive eating but drinking is okay.

I like the wide applicator, shade is gorgeous and I am not even mad about the stain coloring. I wish the gloss would last longer since it is in the name.

I was thinking of the Strawberry and Amber option as well.

I like you berry much

 Hello,

this is my second tube of lip jam. My first one cam with a broken lid and the product hardened after using it just a few times so I had to throw it away soon but I liked the scent. I had the Strawberry option.

It is Catrice lip jam hydrating lip gloss in the I like you berry much variation.

It does has the sweet berry scent but it is not very strong and it disappears quickly.

It has a light, sheer pink tint but on the lips it is clear since I can't use this much on my thin lips. The strawberry one that I had before it had more tint to it but it was also almost clear on the lips.

The formula isn't too thin but it still disappears from my lips in around 30-40min and it is hydrating. I used it on really dry lips and it bring them to life.

I wish it would last a bit longer on the lips but otherwise I have no complaints. I like the tube applicator, sheer colors, berry scent and nourishing properties. I am eying the strawberry option again.

Taro Glaze

 Hello,

yesterday I talked about lip glosses which weren't very glossy, today I have a lip stylo which looks super glossy and I am loving it.

Here I have Bbia over glaze stick in Taro Glaze with 1,7g of product.

It has a twisting mechanism with noticeable click sound (very satisfying :) which gives you total control and boy oh boy it is shiny on the lips.

Taro Glaze is cool toned plum shade but on a sheer side. When I have red lips this turns them a bit less vivid and a bit deeper. It makes me look like my lips are a bit cold because of the strong cool toned shade.
I absolutely love the shade and I am very satisfied with it.
The gloss is unreal, very shiny and it looks like a proper lip gloss.

I have tried it on dry lips and it healed them after two layers but there is something slightly irritable in it. The scent is nonexistent but after a minute on my lips I can smell mint (a bit similar to toothpaste) and slight tingling which fades after 15 min. It really isn't much so I am okay with it.

I would prefer donut scent (there is donut on the packaging and that gave me the idea) but cool mint isn't too bad since the tingling isn't strong and there is no cooling effect. The shade and shine are my favorite and I can see myself using this up very soon. At the moment there are no shades available that would get my attention but I will check again after a while.

Peony Blush, Gleaming Guava and Wink of Pink

Hello,

these three were in my possession for over a year and I barely use them. Colors look nice but the texture is somewhat unusual on these.

They are Avon nourishing shine lip glosses in Peony Blush, Gleaming Guava and Wink of Pink. Each tube contains 7 ml which is a hefty amount and it is becoming rare to see such large tubes.
They gave very warm caramel scent but no taste.
The texture is unusual since they aren't very glossy. It feels like they added too much pigment in them and pigment particles eat up all the gloss/shine.

Peony Blush is warm toned nude shade with no shimmer and packed with pigment particles.

Gleaming Guava has a similar tone but with added shimmer, because of the sparkle the gloss isn't more sheer or glossier.

Wink of Pink stands out because of its cool toned pink shade but the shimmer is the same as in the previous gloss. It completely covers the lips and leave no room for shine.

These are named lip glosses but I would say that they are more of a liquid lipstick it tube cases. They do give a small amount of shine but mostly it comes from shimmer. The pigment is off the roof. I don't remember ever seeing or using such lip glosses-with so little glossiness. They aren't sticky or goopy which is nice but my personal preference is super glossy or juichy lip glosses with sheer color payoff and these are just the opposite of that.

I am thinking of passing all three to my sister since I will not get much use out of them, they just aren't my preference.

Way Pink

 Hello,

I am continuing with the pink theme and this is what I thought would be a glowy pink tint. I was expecting  a glossy finish with a tint but I am not sure that is what I got.

Little mushroom is Fwee pink obsession stay fit lip tint in the G06 Way Pink - glowy edition.

This item has a very short stem but the doe foot applicator is regular sized. I don't find application to be hard or weird it just looks like it would apply weird but it doesn't.

It applys very glossy and liquid like so I was expecting it to stay like that for an hour or so but I was wrong since it takes about 5min for it to settle and then is almost matte. It actually looks like I applied a bit of clear lip balm over it, so it is not completely matte but I was expecting it to be glossier.

Here on my photos it looks a bit more red when in fact it is more hot pink. It is very saturated and bright. I definitely picked the wrong shade since I prefer more muted or lighter, natural pinks.

Way Pink is bright and almost fuchsia pink and I am a bit sick of it (there were times when I loved shades like this on myself but I got over it).

It leaves a pretty strong and even stain which lasts for hours. I can drink, I can apply lip balms or lip glosses and it doesn't remove the stain. I would say after several hours, 6 or 7 it starts fading. After eating it was removed completely.

Packaging is super cute, scent is slightly artificial but barely noticeable and there is no taste. Stain is even and longlasting (I don't recommend eating since food dissolves the stain). There is so many things that I like about this but one of the most important ones - shade is what I don't love :(

I find Way Pink shade too bright for me and I am thinking of passing it to my sister.

Pale Peony, Toe Shoes and Jambon Pink

 Hello,

I had a bunch of these single shadows in my online shopping basket and since I had so many items already  in my basket I took a bunch out and accidentally I only left pink ones.

Rom&nd slide in single shadows in Pale Peony, Toe Shoes and Jambon Pink. I find Toe Shoes name super funny.

Here on the photo the whole packaging isn't very visible. Each has an extended plastic on top to pull out the shadow and you can pull them all the way out so there are two plastic components. First time I tried to put them back I push them from the other side and there is some resistance which tells you that you went the wrong way.

Here are swatches in the same order Pale Peony and Toe Shoes are both matte but Pale Peony is borderline peachy pink and quite pale (my face is a bit lighter than my arm so it does show up more) while Toe Shoes is a bit deeper and brighter.

I wore them also as blush and I loved that as well.

Last swatch of Jambon Pink is shimmer pink with some silver in there as well. It is very sparkly and I like that :)
I wore it on its own or layered over the other two (I could also wear it over some other shadows but I just focused on these three and combinations I could make with them).
I did not liked it as a highlighter since I don't like this type of obvious shimmer on my cheeks but I love it on my eyes. So it sparkles when I blink :)

I am very happy with these three, I love the shades that I have picked out. The two mattes are very soft to the touch (I loved applying them with my fingers and then blend them out with a brush which didn't kick any dust) and formulas. When I will be on the market to get some more shadows I will get some more shades from Rom&nd.

Pink things up

 Hello,

I found another products in my archives. I purchased this one pretty soon after it was released. I was eying it since it was shown and I was scouting the release date. So it better be good.

It is Essence glossy glaze high shine lipstick in the shade Pink things up (it is number 3). I am still in my pink faze :)

The strip at the bottom and tube matches the shade pretty well. It has a faint fruity scent but once on the lips it is undetectable. The formula is pigmented and glossy. It feels hydrating while it is on my lips. I had no issues with dry lips while wearing it.

Here the shine is visible and it creates that healthy look on my lips. The shade is pigmented to show on the lips and I was scared that it would require a mirror to apply, especially since the tube is wide. The goss saves it since if I get a bit over the lines is not as visible because of the shine. I am still a bit scared and I mostly apply it in front of the mirror but if this would be the only lip product while on the go I would apply it and not worry too much.

I am actually very happy with it and Essence already came out with a new seasonal line and they didn't add a bunch of new shades... I think they only added one, darker option. I hope they will not discontinue them, since I like this formula, I would like to try out number 1 (nude) and 2 (peach) option. I am not interested in deeper or brighter shades.

Slightly confused

 Hello,

I am back with another limited edition item and it is a good one.

Limited edition Catrice Alice inWonderland luminizing compact powder in the only option Slightly confused

Alice print elevates this product to the next level. Shade is pale gold with blue imprint. There is fine shimmer in it, more like an all over glow than random particles.

Another closeup of the Alice since I suspect it won't stick for long and I was right. Blue isn't deep and when checking shade on the skin it thankfully disappears quickly.
This product does kick up some powder when I touch it with a brush so I guess it will be used up faster that some other tightly pressed products.

First swatch was made avoiding blue and second with the blue shade and the difference is more visible in person than what I was able to capture on camera. Shimmer isn't obvious but it rather creates uniformed shine. My face is paler than my arm so it blends into my skin tone pretty well but the glow is visible.

I definitely don't regret getting it since I like the pale gold shade (on my skin in more cool toned since this gold isn't yellow but neutral in tone), it has glow but not random glitters or shimmers. With a light touch is on a natural side and I like this but it is buildable and can look too metallic if applied too heavy. So far I am avoiding the blue but I am thinking of taking it off to get to the only base color.

So far this Alice in Wonderland collection is a hit but I don't think I will get more items from this LE.

Milky and Rosy Glaze

 Hello,

I have finally tried the Fwee jelly pots :) I thought that the shape is random but it is actually peach shaped packaging and it is very cute.

I have received two Lip & cheek glowy jelly pots. Big one in 4g is Milky and mini is a gift with purchase and the shade was picked at random, I have received Rosy Glaze.

I can see why they named them jelly. Texture very much reminds me of it. On top there is a firm film which needs to be broken to get the pudding like texture out of it. I did not get the silicone applicator so I just use the top of my nail to scoop some of it out.

Milky is pastel, baby pink and Rosy Glaze is a bit deeper muted rose shade. Milky looks a bit pale on the lips but Rosy Glaze looks perfect, this shades melts and blends into my natural lip shade. While I have to be careful with milky not to apply too much I can put a generous amount of Rosy Glaze and it still look nice.

They have no detectable scent but are so very juicy to look at. Colors are pigmented and they look glossy enough on the lips. Because my natural lip color is on the red side Milky has to be applied with careful thought but Rosy Glaze looks more natural on me so I can put more on and then it also last longer. I wish it would still be a bit more long lasting.
I would also mention the nice hydration that they provide and even when I apply them on chapped lips they slowly but surely smooth them out.
These peach shaped Fwee balms are really nice and I can see myself buying some more but on sale, their prices are quite high for such small product (packaging is large but there is only 4g of product inside).
