Empties

 Hello,

It is the end of the month and it is empties time! It went by so fast and it is kind of hard to realize that there are only two more months to go...

First is Blistex intensive moisturiser lip cream with Cherry scent. It contains 6 ml of products which I think is quite a lot. It really is a cream product and at first leaves a bit of a white residue on my lips but it does sinks in after a couple of minutes (if I applied more that it took longer to absorb). I was using it at home so no one could see the white cast and it was fine. It is moisturizing and I really liked the Cherry scent. This balm was definitely on the upper part of my lip balm list but I still think I won't repurchase it again. There are other balms that I prefer over this baby.

Next is my holy grail Neutrogena oil free daily face moisturizer. I have used up a lot of these tubes and every so often they slightly change the packaging but the product still feels the same. It is a light texture cream which absorbs super fast, it moisturizes my skin instantly but keeps my skin matte. I tell you, this is magic and I already have a new tube.

Another love is this particular Batiste dry shampoo in the Blush option. It smells like Peony and even though I normally don't obsess over this scent I love it in my hair and on the day when I do spray my hair with it I rarely wear perfume because it is so strong and I want to smell it all day long. I will repurchase it but at the moment I'm using different one which is also really nice (it is from a different brand).

I'm quite sad that The Body Shop don't make this Vineyard Peach collection anymore. I used to have a lotion and the scent charmed me so much that I rushed to the store and got myself butter version as well and now even this has come to an end. This had a very authentic Peach scent and it was delicious. I will miss it but I still have more TBS butters that need to be used up.

Essence High Beauty hydrating primer was a gift from Essence PR team. I already talked about it in depth so I will just quickly go through main points. First is the smell, it is very natural and green smelling, not my favorite but after a while it disappears. Then the texture is cream like and slightly yellow but it sinks in very fast and my skin looked pretty matte but when I applied my foundation on top of it it looked more dewy and since I have pretty oily skin this one wasn't my favorite. I used it up on my days off, over face cream to amp up the moisture and using it like that I was able to finish it up pretty fast.

The very last item is this Benecos Natural Kajal in White (to be honest it is more of a off white color-cream if you will). When I bought it I was obsessed with putting it into my lower waterline so I immediately bought myself a backup (there was no need to do that  because it is still available). After using it daily I started to wear it less and less until I completely forgot about it. Only recently I picked it up again and the experience wasn't the best. I put it into my waterline and after a while it started to travel around my eye and my vision blurred a bit, not something I would want so I'm throwing it away and I will start using the 'new' one and if it does the same I'm throwing that one away as well.

I'm done with products that work only partially for me, I'm not going to push boundaries to make it work. It ether works or I'm letting go of it, life is to short to wear make-up which doesn't makes me happy.

Pink Topaz

 Hello,

I kept myself busy and didn't find enough time or energy to post but hopefully I will slowly get back on track and start to post some more.

These Catrice glosses are some of my favorites and they are called Generation Plump & Shine and this particular shade is named Pink Topaz.

It is a lovely mix of rose with a touch of brown tone and sprinkled with some golden shimmer. At first I was vary of the sparkle but seeing how delicate it looks I don't mind it at all.

These glosses in general aren't super pigmented but gives you a hint of color and I believe that this particular shade is just perfect for me. It gives my lips some flush and the barely there sparkle adds to the shine.

I noticed that the sparkle doesn't really travel around outside of my lips so that is one less worry. I love how glossy and comfortable (non sticky) this formula is.

I believe this is my third shade and since purchasing this one I got another one but I haven't tried that one enough but after I will take it for a good spin I will make sure to post it here.

Thankyou for reading and have a nice day

Empties

 Hello,

I have been cleaning and decluttering a bit. I found some old and almost forgotten products and some products just due to their old age have to go and make room for something fresher.

Avon clearskin bubble face cleanser is my second used up bottle. It is okay face wash for me. It comes out as a foam and it spreads evenly over my face (it doesn't just run through my fingers and into the drain) but I have noticed that it didn't fully remove my make-up residue so I was combining it with another one that I much prefer over this one. I'm glad it is gone and I won't repurchase it again.

Next was a gift and it is fragrance from Miller Harris in the scent Rose Silence. It is a very heavy and rich rose scent. I always imagine a posh woman would wear it on a nigh out, on some black tie event. It is feminine but also very powerful and woman who wears it definitely is in charge of business. Even though this bottle was small it took me long time to finish it up and towards the end the scent started to haunt me so I applied only one spray and layer it with other fragrances. For now I'm happy to be finished with it but if I will even start to miss it I can still get another bottle.

Last item is once beloved L'oreal Infallible 24h-matte foundation in Vanilla shade (now I switched to the Catrice foundation). This one is a bit dry and requires quick application otherwise it looks cakey, the shade was still a bit too dark on me so I had to mix it with lightening drops and after a couple of hours of wearing it it looked a bit worn off so when I switched to the Catrice I was much happier. This tube was left from its glory days and I'm super happy to be finished with it.

Last we have Nivea original lip butter. These were really good and I'm very sad that they discontinued them. First I had the Coconut one which is still my favorite (it felt more moisturizing) but this one isn't far behind. It has lovely creamy texture (even though it is called lip butter it is not buttery or hard) and I loved applying it on at night because it would leave a white layer but when I go to bed I really don't care as long as a wake up with nourished lips. I still have two more left in different scents and then I'm all out. I hope they will come out with something similar soon.

Next there are two eye shadow products and these two are the oldest in my collection.

First swatch is Essence Barefoot through the moss (I purchased it in 2011) and it is slightly green toned gold. I remember loving this shade and use it daily but when my love progressed I started to use other shades and gold isn't even in my top five anymore. I sill like it but have a couple of other gold shades that I prefer and I think it is time to retire this baby.

Next is another Essence All about Chocolates (I bough this one in 2015) and I actually love all six shades but I already have very similar shades to all of them and aren't so very old. They are still very soft just the darker four occasionally get hard pan because I apply them with my fingers so I don't loose all the lovely shimmer (I blend the edges with a brush, don't worry). This one is a little harder to departure but the lid is broken and doesn't stick with the pan anymore and that was the last straw. I'm throwing it away but if it would still be available and I wouldn't have so many eye shadows I would repurchase it again in a heartbeat.
